I really don't want to disrespect you as you are the best self-proclamed poster of this forum (oh I just understand why you are a fan of Mourinho !! ), but are you serious about Leonardo being stupid because he doesn't give a chance to Huntelaar ?

We could argue that he is unfair (as he said he would give him a chance and didn't do it) with Huntelaar, but when you see the way Borriello plays, how can Leonardo be blamed ?

About the defenders, again, with no disrespect towards you, are you serious ?!
Bonera hasn't played at all for months (if not a complete year or almost actually ?) ... Onyewu showed nothing during the pre-season games (even if I think we shouldn't use these games to evaluate our players actually) but more importantly, he is still unavailable for injury !!

So that lets us with Favalli or Kaladze, and the choice is easy to do ...

PS: Palermo is destroying Fiorentina right now.

Favalli is a leftfooter, the defense will look like this:Abate-Silva-Favalli-Antonini

This means Silva VS Milito and Favagol VS Pandev.Milito likes to dribble from the right side and do some snookershots.Favalli will have to deal with Pandev, and i dont see any reason why he cant handle Pandev....

Defense isnt the most important area if you look at our style of play.If we have a good game tonight,Favalli shouldnt get many chances to **** it up.Ambro+Rino have to play like lions.

I BELIEVE,FORZA MILAN PER SEMPRE!

totally agree...

Nobody can argue that Nesta is irreplaceable but one thing we should not forget is that we have 11 players out there that have been absolute champions this season, and we cannot accept that a club like Milan will tumble due to the absence of one player...

And to be totally honest, as much as i would love it if we would kick their ass and cannot think of greater humiliation than Leo, the rookie, dethroning Mourinho, the "Special One" (my ***), if we cannot cope with the absence of one player to win (or maybe now just not lose) this match, then we probably don't deserve to be Serie A champions.

I'm saying only one absence because i'm considering that although we are missing Pato & Zambrotta as well, they are missing Eto'o & Chivu.

FORZA MILAN

Edit: Geo, man, don't even bother with this guy (mzk)...just check all his latest posts and you'll know why

I totally agree with you LebRN ...
Is Nesta one of our key players ? Yes, of course.

But, Nesta being out (I still hope it's not true ... ) doesn't mean that suddenly, we won't be able to attack, that Thiago Silva will become less than decent, etc.

It's even the contrary, Nesta being injured for this game should motivate his team-mates to do even more and more to show to everyone that Milan isn't only Nesta or Pato (Seriously, we could say the same kind of things with Pato: Is Pato one of our key players ? Yes of course ... but our team managed to make us forgetting the fact that Pato was out for some weeks).

So with our without Nesta, we have the power to beat this Inter team !!

Indeed Geo,Palermo are playing with Fiorentina at the moment,Fio is nowhere to be seen.

Last week they were defeated at home by Bologna(1-2),Bologna won last year as well at Fiorentina.

We should take three points from them, even if the game is over a month and maybe they play better by then.

I am getting more nervous and nervous as time goes by....if we can get three points tonight, hell even if we can capture a point then that would be great!!

UNLEASH FAVAGOL!!!!!

Umm... why would Huntelaar play when Borriello is playing 10x better? Except for one nice goal, Huntelaar hasn't showed any signs that he is actually good enough for the team.

I think Bonera would play if he was ready, but Favalli is actually our best replacement for Nesta at the moment (yeah, it's pretty sad). If Kaladze played like he did in the spring of 06/07, we wouldn't have to worry, but he is not the player he used to be.

I like that
And yes I am serious. Borriello should be dropped or played as a right winger in the absence of Pato/Ronnie and Huntelaar should be given a 5 game run with confidence. Then see how the guy will roll back the years of a certain Van Basten. If he gets a good chance and doesn't prove himself, I will quit MM forever. mark my words

I don't necessarily agree with zeekay and disagree with you guys but saying Huntelaar hasn't shown anything is really unfair. It's not the first time a player has been practically banished (from any team not just Milan) and we are only speculating if we say that "he's not good enough".

actually I also think huntelaar can do much better than what he has shown untill now. but I can understand leo for playing borriello as he is so important for the team, not only his goals but just the way he plays. he is the type of striker we need up front, and it is working no? so why change? the team is playing some really nice football and are getting great results... And I think you should show more respect to leonardo, the guy deserves it, he does not deserve these insults.

We are going to win this game with or without nesta. As long as we're focused for 90min then I'm very confident . If our mid and front line do their job, their defense has to worry not our. Keep me posted if nesta news changes

By impatiently waiting for the derby ... let's look at the situation on the table !!

1st - Inter (46 points) -1
2nd - Milan (40 points) -2
3rd - Roma (38 points)
4th - Napoli (37 points)
5th - Palermo (34 points)
6th - Juventus (33 points)

7th - Cagliari (31 points) -1
8th - Genoa (31 points)
9th - Fiorentina (30 points) -1
10th - Sampdoria (30 points)

What can we say about that ?
- Roma are back in the top of this league ...
- Juventus is in a worse and worse situation after each game played. If Cagliari wins its game in hand, they will have more points than Juventus, which means Juventus being out of the European places ...
- The gap between the first ten teams is small comparing to the last years.
- As you can see there, Lazio isn't in the first ten teams of the championship, they are slowly going down and have only 2 more points than Catania (18th).
- Bari and Parma are also going down, slowly, which is something that was expected after their extraordinary start of season.
- Funny to see that Milan, Roma and Napoli, three teams that struggled at the start of this season are now the main outsiders for the Scudetto (especially us) and for the CL places ...

exactly what i hold against this mzk guy!!! he's been bashing Leo in every single post because he's playing Borriello & not Huntelaar!!! Leo got us to be actual challengers for the title for God's sake! who in their wildest dreams thought about that after our summer mercato???

not saying that Huntelaar doesn't have much to offer either, on the contrary, i think he does and i sure hope he can show it today

i have a feeling,kaladze is going to start if(please dont..)nesta is out..

and now i remember the times when kaladze was a really good player, and he was a reliable back up for nesta-stam(or maldini who played as lb again)..

my gosh, Palermo are in 5th spot ahead of Juve....and had Cagliari scored that last chance against Siena today, they would be ahead of Juve, AND have a game in hand!! if Cagliari and Fiorentina win their games in hand, Juve would be 8TH PLACE!!! LOL@ their management keeping the faith in Ferrara thinking he's going to turn it around like Leo......Juve fans must be feeling real jealous right now

I am sooo pumped up for tonight.....and disappointed that Nesta's out... however it's alright, I still believe. I just hope the fisherman plays like a human being today, or even better if Seedorf starts instead of him (as Leo said, best form of defence is to attack).
