I cant believe Leo will start Beckham just coz we play United again!! Becks wasnt a started in serie a games, and Flamini played GREAT his last 2 games. This is not fair and Im dissapoited a LOT!!

Who cares about Beckham - United ****! Im not a child or a stupid football-yellow papers fan boy. I care about AC MIlan, not about English press.

Anyway, if we want to have any chance we need a perfect game, which means we cannot afford to miss ANY goal chances and we need Dinho with some excaptional moves and Abbiatti with some brilliant plays as well. Also, Pirlo from Roma game. BUT, Pirlo played that well coz Flamini covered absurd ammount of space and fought like a mad man. Becks cannot do that.

In any case, lets fight and ATTACK!! Corners, free kicks... nothing can be wasted. United scores 1 and we need to score 3, so lets just attck as much as we can and see what happens.

Leonardo has made some terrible decisions this season, but starting with Mr. Playboy Beckham will be the pick of them all. Lets just hope this media hype will not get inside Leonardo's head. I would rather see Abate or Janku than Beckham

I think the media are getting inside the head of all u guys!!! There is not a chance in the world that somebody knows the line up a day before, except Leo and Tassoti...the media are just guessing...

Even more so...that Pato is still doubtful...that makes the choosing even more complicated..but making an educated guess I think that the line up is fixed with the exception of the third midfilder (Which I think is Flamini, Leo can`t ignore the last games he has been brilliant) and weather it will be Pato or???

---------Abbiati------
Bonera Nesta T.S Antonini
flamini----Pirlo---Captain
Pato --Borriello--Dinho

I think that this will be the line up...and I think its pretty balanced...what we need in the first half is a goal without conceding....In the second most probably it will be panic substitutes from both sides...

Just for fun, I saw that on TMW ...
We beat Marseille 2-1 at Vélodrome, we beat Madrid 3-2 at Santiago Bernabeu, so why couldn't we beat Manchester 4-3 at Old Trafford ?

Here are the scores we can do to qualify:
- 2 goal difference or more: 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0, ...
- 2 goal difference or more: 3-1, 4-1, 5-1, ...
- 1 goal difference or more: 4-0, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3
- 1 goal difference or more: 4-3, 5-4, 6-5, 7-6, ...
Etc

I don't know why, but I have a feeling that will end by 3-1 for us ... can't wait to be tomorrow !!

PS: Sad for Fiorentina, they deserved to qualify, and it's bad for Italian football as that means Germany 1-0 Italy.

I think that it's good that Gattuso has advantage over Flamini. Though energetic Flamini is much needed in our old midfield, he's pretty inexperienced in big games and he has that problem of making unneeded fouls in shooting positions and we don't want to concede at all, let alone a cheap goal like that. On the other hand, Gattuso has a LOT of experience in big games and he always was a big game player. He's always fired up for big games...

the most important thing is to have clear goals and strategy for this match, its redicilous to play for a 0-2,for me there is no chance we wont concede a goal at OT,the only way would be to play 11 behind the ball, which means that we wouldnt score 2,not in a 100 years,if any body thinks we will score 2 on counters against a team that knows that they dont have to do a lot to qualify, its naive..we have to play for 3 goals!!

if we play for 3(we already need 2) we must concede 3 to be eliminated, whereas if we score 2 we need clean sheat,it would be stupid its more than obvious imo..

the best 11 for me would be
-----abbiati--------
abate---ts---nesta---antonini/zambrotta
-----pirlo----ambro-------
--------seedorf----------
pato----------------dinho
-------bori/hunter--------

we need ideas and options to create so NO to 2 strikers imo..
and YES to seedorf,we all know waht he is capable of,especially in this kind of matches..
and i d choose bori but i understand both choices..

ps if becks play(especially instead of pato)then forget even that 1% chance that we have
that was my post some days ago but on the first's game thread,so i though i should have post it here..the only thing i want to emphasize is that using beckham is more than awful for me..if we qualify with becks as a starter i will post the next day that i was clearly wrong about my views for this match..

i was ready to bet on us(not because i really think we have good chances, but for the odds),but since i saw the probable line up i'm very pessimistic..

okay i undestand many of you wanting flamini instead of seedorf for this game(although i really disagree, for the reasons i ve already posted),but beckham???i cannot describe my feelings about this.

if we start with 2 sc(which i hope not,as i think pato is essential)(but again better than becks on the right wing, that would be redicilous now)then they'll have to work all 90 minutes defensively too, they have to put the pressure on their backs as they make a lot of mistakes, and so as to not possess the ball in their medfield against a trio like ambro-pirlo-becks..and the worst part is that we cannot possess the ball at all with this 11,we'd have to make quick choices and not sure ones..

man i hope gazzeta is wrong..
anyway forza milan!!we're too good on pressure every time we re down on ch.l.(by any means) so you never know!

See when Becks plays, Pirlo is doing more of defensive job and he stays down. Becks is one who goes up. So - this is very rough reasoning - Pirlo actually acts like Flamini/Gattuso and Becks acts like Pirlo. That way, we're gaining something, and we are losing something. We are more dangerous from set pieces, more dangerous on crosses and we can hold the ball better because Becks is much more technical than Flamini or Gattuso. Which means we can dominate the play more. But, I think we're losing more. We're losing creativity of Pirlo, he can't go up to make final passes, because of flat midfield Ronaldinho is less supported, we are losing much energy and defensive cover in midfield...

BUT, we can't dominate the game against Manchester with Pirlo, Ambrosini and Flamini/Gattuso in the middle. And that way we can't pass them, because we must dominate, we can't do anything on the counter because they have two goals lead. Whatever one may think, it would be best to start without Ambro. Either of Flamini or Gattuso can cover more space than Ambro and both are quicker and more energetic, especially Flamini. But we all know that will not happen...
