Yes, I agree. But if Berlusconi really means to sign one real "champion"as he said, he obviously intends to spend more than 20 mil E. I mean, what kind of a "champion" can you buy for that money? Patrick Vieira? Thiery Henry? Luca Toni? David Trezeguet? But if we set the bar for a "champion" somewhere at 40-45 mil E, the four players that I've mentioned could indeed be signed.

If the 20 mil is spent the way Berlusconi and Galliani define a champion then might be even worse off for having budget

now oddo is world class scored a wonder goal and converted a penalty not to mentioned the back pass but galliani will come up and say we have a real camponi in our team, we dont need to sell him or think of an rb

So Berlu wanted to spend €60 M on Milan's transfer budget this summer, but his daughter said no. You know, that **** has been making us miserable for years, because she's the one who has kept Fininvest from heavier investments in Milan. Wake up to reality people, that is impossible. Don't read everything you say. It's all Berlusconi's decisions at the end of the day not his daughter or brother or son. My only wish is that we actually sell a stake in the club this summer and that will definitely give us more spending power.

Now that we have learnt our budget is about 20m for first squad, we should start by getting Jucilei asap (6m) and then work on selling a few players like Oddo (great goal today), Janku, Onyewu, Abate and get around 7-10 mil for them, that can increase our transfer budget. We also have Hunter who is around 12-15 million himself. 20m plus sales = 40m. We can do quite a lot with that money, we havent had that much money in ages.

If Berlusconi doesnt invest some of his money we dont even need to watch the next season as it will be horrible like this one.

As you say, no one controls him, those are just stupid stories about his daughter, son etc.

We are linked with Lazzarri... my god... good player, for PArma, Lazio etc., not for Milan.

I would really like to see Ibra at Milan. People should forget about his Inter, Juve days. He is a professional and a player that suits our stile much more then he suits Barca's play. Perfect player for us as far as Im concerned,

Honestly I don't doubt these rumors, because Marina Berlusconi is the one who made statements in the past about how Milan couldn't spend that much, etc. It's been going on for years. And she is in fact chairman of Fininvest, so she runs the company from day to day.

There were reports four years ago that she had told her father that the company needed to cut back on its spending in regards to Milan, and since then we've hardly signed one big name (with the exception of Dinho, who came to us as a player who was considered to be "past it" and only cost about €15M). There has definitely not been the kind of spending we saw in the past, when the club bought Rui Costa for 30+ million euros, etc.

As for the transfer budget, Braida just said earlier today that Huntelaar will stay. Onyewu isn't worth much, and at any rate he just extended his contract. We won't get much for Oddo and Janku either, if we're even able to get rid of them (both of them have big contracts and are mediocre players at best). I think Milan would be stupid to let Abate go though. He performed well this season, which was his first as right back, and will probably do even better next year, so I can't see the club selling him.

I agree with Mrki about Ibrahimovic! He would be an unbeliavable addition to the squad. I was debating here on the forum years ago right before he left Juve for Inter that Ibra would be the star of our attack after Sheva, yet some people were saying he is not good enough and we didn't need him. That he chokes and what not. Now, after even more years of proof there are still some that don't want him here. I can't find a reason why. The guy completely dominated Serie A with Inter. Definitely a top 5 striker in the world. The problem this year was that Barca's football doesn't really go with what Ibra has been doing in Italy. If he stays there he will adapt and will be a monster again. And even in a bad season he still scored 16 goals in 29 games in La Liga.

Anyhow, Football-italia.net just quoted El Mundo Deportivo that Milan offered 35mil plus Huntelaar for Ibrahimovic. Yet Braida just came out and said that Huntelaar is staying. I thought we don't have money.....and anyway at the courrent situation to read that Milan is about to spend 35mil plus for one player is simply unbelieavable.

There are just so many possibilities this summer to improve our squad, yet somehow this menagement has killed all our hopes in recent times. We have to dream and not believe rummors even about players the are expected to cost less then 10 mil. (ex. Jucilei)

As for the story about Berlu's doughter....I don't believe that she controlls him. Actually I don't believe that anyone can controll the guy except himself. Now, his doughter can advise him and try to get him not to spend......but the last decision is obviously Berlu's. It's always been. If he wants to spend, he will spend.
