If true, i can't believe Genoa are about to get Veloso on loan for a season and then have the option to buy him for 6.5 million, that's some bargain! Why on earth we didn't push for that i'll never know, he'd be a great addition to our squad.

Regarding non-eu spots, yes it's one new non-eu player each season. But surely if you release a player who currently holds a non-eu spot that position becomes available allowing you to fill it with someone else no?

Reports in Italy suggest Dinho will extend his deal from 2011 to 2013 with his wages decreasing from €8 million to €4 million per annum.

Mavuba is one of the most underrated DM in France, probably among the best ones (like I often say, there are 150 good DM in France, it's the tradition since 1996-98), but he is a DM ... very defensive minded, do we need another player like that ? I found some amusement a couple of days ago in the reports that Huntelaar might go to Liverpool with Babel headed to Milan in return (and not just my usual amusement at papers twisting things or just simply making crap up). If he remains at Liverpool, he might flourish under Hodgson. Huntelaar, if he stays, might flourish under Allegri. Or maybe a change of scenery would suit one or both of them. Fans become too quick to dismiss players who have fallen out of favor or maybe not settled at a club or in a league. And they're too quick to assume that players who have done very well elsewhere would be saviors if acquired. So it's probably best to give anyone the team thinks can help it win a chance, while not expecting too much from other players just because of their name.

Well, I don't mind keeping Huntelaar at least for this year because by being used in a 2 men attack, I think he can turn to be great for us (we still didn't see the promising Huntelaar-Pato line recalling the Inzaghi-Shevchenko one of some years ago). If he's a flop again, then let's sell him.

Certainly if moving Huntelaar would allow Milan to bring in Dzeko or even a faster and more athletic forward such as Robinho, I'd be all for it. But considering the financial limitations and Huntelaar's past goalscoring records, I'm all for keeping him and giving him an opportunity. I'm glad you mentioned Pippo because my vision for Huntelaar when he was acquired was as a successor to Pippo in the goal-poaching role.

Right now I think the midfield needs more attention and I'd also rank bringing in another fullback as a higher priority. The forwards are more than good enough.

I've been astonished at the figures being thrown around for Milner. I realize he wasn't at peak fitness, but Carlos Bocanegra ate him for lunch in the World Cup. He's a good player, but not a special player. But the English always overhype and overpay their own players because good English players have become increasingly rare in the Premiership.

Berlu is about to spend about 6million on a new plane as well more money on another yacht. He can spend money on these things and moan about the costs of wages etc. Hurry up and sell you crooked bastard.

VdV seems available for about 8-10M, and would ask for a 2.5-3M wage ...

Prior to Beckham and the GalCticos, Serie A had always been the no.1 league in Japan. So there might be some truth in these rumors about sponsors wanting him to play in Milan. Having said that if ManU or Real are also interested in Honda, then it is anybody guess.

Simply because it's the point of view of Honda's sponsor ... They don't care about Milan, only about the player and of course, more importantly, themselves (the firm).
We, as fans, know that Honda could be a good addition to our team and he plays in a position we need, so who cares that the sponsor of Honda doesn't really care about our needs ?
All I know is that it can only be an advantage to have his sponsor pushing him in Milan. And as Honda already said he likes Milan (didn't he say he was a fan ?) some months ago, except for money, I don't see why this deal couldn't be done.

Honda can play in so many positions, so he would add something for sure, and he would give us some options to replace some of our players on the pitch and would also allow us to play various formations.

Damn, I just realize that if the only problem in this deal could be money, it's going to be difficult as our problem is about money !!

Milan's sponsor, Emirates, reportedly wants it to happen as well. Supposedly they offered to pay his wages. If true, that could make the deal more cost-effective for Milan.

Won't Juve be reluctant to sell him to a team on par with them? Maybe they're afraid we will harm their 4th place target.
