That would be a good signing imo ...but as you said goal.com its nowhere else

i think this summer though goal.com has been on form they ve literally given me headache after headache, they raise expectations and get you excited an then dash it - too much gossip

think i ll just stick to skysports.com or football-italia and the official milan site from now on

if 1 in every 20 stories dealing with milan came to past, i wouldnt mind goal. but it is like 1 in every 2000.

Yeah ...But these 10 minute happy periods of us almost signing nearly there really close stories are giving me a happy buzz for a few minutes...lol

I agree with Geo & kastriot. Geo - when he says if no one wants to buy them now, who will want them when they are 1 year older and even more useless than they are now? Kastriot - when he says we are not losing anything in this deal, but infact we have a chance to make money out of it.

I wasn't happy with these extensions but Kastriot made it clearer and he's right, we are not losing anything. Worst case scenario is relegate them to the 2nd team and buy other players..the only problem is, knowing our management, I can sooooo see them saying we will not replace them only if they leave. Hope I'm wrong.

Jucilei now seems set to stay in Corinthians. I wish we'd have bought him and let him stay there. His price will sky rocket now that he's in the Brazil squad. I also wish that the reason Milan have taken their eyes off him are because they are set on some other Non-EU player.

And that is where your entire argument lost me. You are making the assumption that we will ever just relegate these useless players and sign new ones, but if this summer has taught you anything, it is the fact that we WILL NOT sign any new players unless the old players leave. Having Kaladze, Oddo and the other flunkies around will only prolong this whole "not spend a penny on the mercato" strategy we currently employs. B&G don't care about the fact that those old players can't play any more because they will always be counted as "champions" for this team. That is why I want each and everyone of those useless oldies to be gone as soon as possible. Getting rid of them at all costs should be the strategy we shoot for here.

Sport10 actually is making fun of Milan today, reporting that Milan has signed Messi for 80m and 14m per year salary, and Juventus has signed C.Ronaldo...

does zaragoza have any young talented players?

Cannot agree with you more as I think it is stupid to extend their contract even if it means paying the same money. It is not a 1 yr for 2 yrs deal, whether it is just delaying to face the real problems-lack of investment in youth over 10 years and lack of investment in good players during their mid 20s over the past years.

Also, what's the point of selling Maicon if you intend to buy a replacement that costs just as much? It's not like his replacement would be any better (Maicon is probably the best RB around today). They will probably get some youngster for cheap or some decent back-up.
For Balotelli they don't really need a replacement, since they have several WC forwards. On the other hand Inter might buy Mascherano, not a replacement for Maicon and Balo, but just a type of player Benitez wants to play his type of game. Possibly also Kuyt. They should cost 40-45m together, and Inter earn 60-65M from Balo-Maicon. That's still a profit in in bank.

As for us.......

They are not Milan and Moratti is not Berlu. They might not spend the whole 160mil but to wish them not to only spend 20mil of that is just fantasy. I think they will spend half of that 160Mil, which means 80Mil. Still enough to get 2-3 World Class players.
