im absolutely againist Thiago Silva's sale, just because he is one of our world class players, with Pato, we just have 2 world class young players.

if he leaves, our defence will never be solid. Papa is good player nothing more, nothing less. Nesta is aged and his injury problems. Yepes, Bonera are not solid defenders, as they can make mistakes at any time.

VDV could be improvement for us, is it really hard to be intelligent on the market? Selling Huntelaar and signing Honda with that money? adding Poli to him is really hard?

we are giving our best defender, one of the best defenders in the world, Thiago Silva is more than a defender by the way, he can do many things a defender cant do. and however we are getting Real rejects, are you kidding me?

its even crazy thinking about selling him.

i mean you lost one more world class player and you are getting decent players.

Silva is a player that we shouldnt sell even if we are offered 40. We must rebuild for our new era and he is the base of it. Even if we are to have one more crap season but we must keep Silva.

You said that all. I can't imagine Milan sell Thiago Silva only for 25 mil + VDV.

Assume if management spend the money (25 mils), what we will get? Dzeko? No. If yes, Dzeko+VDV. Is that good business compare to loosing one of the best CB right now?

I am still a fan of philosophy that defense is the most important thing.

About Beretta, he's a striker, more like Huntelaar (finisher) than like Borriello (can dribble, pass, help in midfield) or Pato (he can play any role in attack).

Physically they are likely to struggle as they will still grow. Maybe not too much in terms of height (unless they are due one growth spurt like Paloschi), but their muscles will develop a lot over the next few years, so you should see this being less of a problem over time.

let`s not kid ourself... 25+WDW for T.S is a great deal (from a footballing perspective). But Thiago is not a just a football player to US or at least to me. For years I have feared what will happen to Milan after Maldini retires and if there was a a person who could substitute him in every sense of he word than Thiago was the one. For me he will be the leader of the new Milan generation, the new captain, and that makes him unsellable.But in my head so were Sheva and Kaka. so who knows?

I am for selling T. Silva as long as there are only players involve with no cash. Since B & G won't spend those money.
COme on guys, imagine, T. Silva going to Real for VDV, Marcelo, M Diarra or L. Diarra.

Rumours on Elano are growing unfortunately, hope the management doesn't go for this. Another rumor that is growing that I like is the swap of Abate and Mesto. Abate has no place in Milan's squad, not as a RB, nor RM, or RF, he's useless. Mesto on the otherhand was a very promising young RB 5 years ago. He has faded away but has played better last year, he was always a favourite of Carlo's. A straight swap would be nice, but Milan should try to ask for a bit more as Abate now has CL experience and has played with players of the highest level.

Btw, remember we heard rumors about us sharing co-ownerships with Genoa? How they were going to co-own 3 of our youth players and we will co-own 3 of theirs? Well, that didnt happen. Milan won the cup and I think Genoa won the league, and Genoa co-own 3 of our players for Sokratis (plus cash? we still don't know) - Zigoni, and Strasser & Oduamadi who's prices have already gone up for the decent pre-seasons.

Gazzetta talks about the top 10 teams in Serie A and who they think will be their surprise breakout player of the season. They think it will be Merkel for us.

Well if we sign Elano sell Huntelaar and get Honda and Madrid offer Drenthe Garay and Albiol we'll be better , don't know if people like Garay but Albiol is good and Drenthe can play in midfield .Garay could be good at LB (I remember him playing there) so maybe we could have.

If the best amongst young attackers (Dzeko, for example) is worth 40 mil, Silva should be worth as much. I personally think great CBs are a rare breed. And Silva has simply a great attitude. He plays very clean as well. If I could, I wouldn't sell him for 50 mil even.

If 50M can rebuild the team, so does 60M from Kaka's sale. But were we rebuilding with that money?

I know Milan is not rich now but don't change your point of view the way Milan change his budget. 25 mil is little for one of the best CB available now. We need money but we MUST be able to think clearly not to think that every money will be welcomed for underpaid player. Van der Vart was only decent player and after moving to Madrid (and had so so performance) he can't be better than he was.

Don't kid ourselves because of Milan's situation right now. I bet even Galliani still doesn't kid himself even he desperately needs money for the transfer.

T. Silva for VDV, Mercelo, Drenthe and one of the Diarras is a great deal for Milan.
