I can't wait either. hopefully we could win comfortably (so we can rest some key players early for the CL game next week).

I agree to an extent. A few of the players have been talking a bit too much (Silva for instance said we'd definitely win one of the league or the champion's league) before our new players have kicked a ball and the season is 2 weeks old!

By saying we'll do this or that you put more pressure on the team. Hopefully the team will work as hard as they've been talking and we'll see some good results over the next few weeks.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if any of our players have been injured on International duty. Hopefully they're all ok!

I think we should win the match though.

For years Inter seem insurmountable in the league, Barca seem insurmountable in Europe.

At this particular moment of the season, players talking big means determination rather than ignorance. You don't wanna hear when players interviewed and asked about ambition, reply like, oh, even though new signings arrive, we aim at top 3.

MILANELLO - The team began today’s session with a half-an-hour-long technical meeting at 16.00 CET. The players took to the film just before 16.45 CET to start their daily practice. The friendly match against the Berretti began at 17.00 CET with Abbiati; Abate, Onyewu, Bonera, Zambrotta; Gattuso, Thiago Silva, Ambrosini; Pato, Inzaghi, Ronaldinho in the starting line-up of the first team. The other squad boasted, beside the Berretti players, Roma, Oddo, Antonini, Montelongo, Strasser, Jankulovski, Oduamadi and Robinho.

The three Rossoneri, who participated in Brazil’s training camp in Barcelona, that is Pato, Robinho and Thiago Silva, played all three matches. They all did well, especially Robinho, who showed some of his tricks on his debut at Milanello. The match, in which only one player, Oduamadi, got on the scoresheet, lasted less than an hour. As for those, who played official games during the international break (Ibrahimovic, Boateng, Pirlo and Papastathopoulos), they first did some running, then finished the training session in the gym.

Sandro Nesta and Clarence Seedorf went through some personalised drills, while Mathieu Flamini continued his recovery programme. Milan’s next training session at Milanello is scheduled for tomorrow morning, at 11.30 CET. Remember, that the official presentation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho, to be conducted by Adriano Galliani, will take place tomorrow at 15.00 CET."
Robinho trickery ha.... I cant wait for Saturday!

Interesting note: Thiago Silva being played as a CM. Was it just to complete the numbers? Or does Mister Allegri have something in mind?

Montelongo's been training with the team for a week now and no one has talked about him...guess he will be a new member of the Grimi club.

They said Leo used to do that as well, with Thiago Silva, so i'm sure it was just filling out the team and giving our million CBs a chance to train.

It is good for his attacking movement, I like his shoot in Lecce match.

Until now, Allegri focus on training match a lot, it is because of preparation phase or that is his method?

I read from somewhere else that Montelongo purchase was only a setup for Coates. A bit like we bought Oliveira just to please Assis so that we could buy Ronaldinho later.

Montelongo looks really skinny by the way from the training picture. I hope that he won't pull a Grimi.

we will keep same formation for this game....possibly Flamini will play instead of Ambrosini...you may even see Seedorf rested for Champions League...

Robinho also will for sure play at some point, for Pato or R80..Inzaghi will come in for Ibra too...it's important to win first CL game

montelongo still deserves a chance.. he should start against cesena imo and i expect to see the same line up too like in the lecce match with ibra replacing boriello then robinho in around the 60min mark to rest pato.. if we start with all 4 that would be great to watch tho imo against a small team like cesena

I think Pirlo should rest in this game, as he played tons of minutes over the past week with Italy.

Warro Bantan will become famous soon enough
It will be very interesting to see the formatin that Allegri uses, as well as the subs that come in.

I think he will stick with the same formation and starting 11 as vs Lecce, with the sole exception being that Ibra will start instead of Borri.

IMO Ambro and Seedorf will make way, as will Pato I think...barring injuries.

Whatever happens, I can hardly wait!!!
