I'm hoping to see Flamini, Boateng and Robinho in the starting lineup!

any updates on their injuries?

Massimiliano Allegri porta con sé 21 rossoneri per la gara Lazio-Milan di domani sera.
Portieri: Abbiati, Amelia, Roma.
Difensori: Antonini, Jankulovski, Nesta, Papastathopoulos, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Yepes, Abate.
Centrocampisti: Boateng, Flamini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Strasser
Attacanti: Ibrahimovic, Inzaghi, Robinho, Ronaldinho.
Giocatori indisponibili: Ambrosini, Pato.
Giocatori non convocati: Bonera, Montelongo, Oddo, Onyewu, Oduamadi

so 2 good news & 1 interesting one:
- Flamini is back
- Bonera was not called although fit
- Strasser is called instead of Oduamadi. So that probably means Allegri believes that the problem in the last match was the midfield not the attacking line.

Anyway, I hope Flamini can start tomorrow because as everybody here, I don't want to see both of Seedorf & Pirlo together on the pitch and i sure don't want to see Gattuso ever on the pitch...so that leaves Strasser or Flamini.

And this week Abate is a defender :P

Probably Bonera is rested instead of dropped. Either way if it's Abate it is no real upgrade.

Agreed, Bonera was completely finished at the end of the Catania match, moreso than any other player on the pitch.

I think Lazio will play a more open match compared to the last three matches, which could work in our favour.

Either way, nothing but a win will do.

If I was the coach of Lazio I would play the counter attack on us! Lets hope their coach is not that smart

Ugh.... another change of plans...

Looks like Saturday's game will be up and running again.
Means we can't go all out like we wanted to, unless we're thinking of playing kids on Saturday....

Boateng as right winger? WTF. This guy is a central midfielder with his workrate, aggression and good passing ability;

these are the lineups from rossoneriblog.com, dont knowe were theyve got them from.

Probable Line-Ups

S.S. Lazio (4-3-2-1) – Edy Reja
Fernando Muslera; Stephan Lichtsteiner, Giuseppe Biava, André Goncalves Dias, Stefan Radu; Christian Brocchi, Cristian Ledesma, Stefano Mauri; Hernanes, Mauro Zárate; Sergio Floccari.

AC Milan (4-3-3) – Massimiliano Allegri
Christian Abbiati; Gianluca Zambrotta, Thiago Silva, Alessandro Nesta, Ignazio Abate; Kevin-Prince Boateng, Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso; Ronaldinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho.

This looks better, Boateng isnt a right winger, and it would be sweet to see robinho from the start!
Crap to see Gattuso though, but what are the options? Flamini was out a long time maybe he isnt ready for a start, lets hope he can sub in.

Replace Abate with Antonini, we should rest him on the weekend to keep him fresh for the Ajax match.
Flams to come on sometime during the game if Rino starts.
Lineup doesn't look too bad if you ask me.
Why can't we try Amelia though?

where did you find that bro?

Ryo: the lineups never looked too bad for any game this season... on paper and on pitch are two very different things unfortunately... we're still playing like a newly formed team.... Allegri's quotes have been good showing us that he knows what needs to be done, but hell even my quotes would be as good if I was Milan's coach... we need to start seeing improvement on the field. In pre-season we saw the youth team playing so well, I wonder what has happened to Merkel who could be very important in this midfield. Flamini - Merkel - Boateng and keep Pirlo on the bench. 3 fully dynamic fast players that can all defend and attack.

Really? Not starting Robinho?

I think this would be a perfect time to start him over R80.

I know, I know, but then again when we played Auxerre, we only played well enough when that particular lineup was on the pitch. Given how things have panned out so far, I wouldn't mind seeing that lineup again, just to see if that game was a fluke, or if that set of players actually gelled faster than the rest (at the moment at least).

As for having Merkel in the lineup, I would totally agree with you save one thing. Merkel isn't strong enough to hold onto the ball. I would rather he spend a year on loan, or on the bench before we start playing him seriously.
In his place I'd rather have two box-to-boxes and Seedorf playing a Makelele role. So long as Seedorf doesn't attempt to play the ball, he's still very decent in holding up play, and to be honest, everyone always complains about him being slow and losing the ball on the dribble, yet I never really hear anyone complain about him misplacing his passes or getting harried off the ball (bar when he runs with it). If we could make him sit back a bit and play the pivot role, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Also..... I think playing Prince out of position is a terrible idea. Prince does a lot of good work in the midfield, and can win the ball back for us most of the time. With him up front, there's gonna be a big gap in the middle when we lose the ball, and counters from opponents will be that much more effective. I'd rather keep Prince in the middle and use Abate or whoever up front. That way, if we lose the ball up front, Prince will be able to cut off their supply in the middle, instead of running all the way back to defend in our own box. No matter how fast he is, he can't outrun a midfielder if he's starting from the opponent's box. If Allegri really does start with Prince up front, I'm gonna have to say I would really start to doubt his managerial credentials

they have a good forward line, if they play well we will concede. Thankfully, they have a pathetic coach

a midfield with Gattuso, Pirlo and Boateng does not look very convincing. I would have played 4 midfielders and 2 forwards.

Ibra

Binho

seedorf

flamini Pirlo boateng

Antonini Silva Nesta Zambro
Amelia
