Milan compete with Arsenal for defender

JAN VERTONGHEN could join England or Italy.

talkSport reports that AC Milan and Juventus have joined Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in race for 23-year-old Ajax defender, Vertonghen.

The Belgian is a versatile player as he can play as a defender but also as defensive midfielder, and the three clubs are considering a January bid for him.

AC Milan want to get rid of Daniele Bonera, and add some young meet to their defense, as they are keep searching for a proper replacement for Alessandro Nesta, alongside Thiago Silva in Milan’s back-line.

Vertonghen played against Milan on Tuesday in the Champions League, and that was his 93rd official appearance with the Dutch club since 2006, when he broke into Ajax’s first team.

I like the price to be sold for. Dont like the players that it says.
(I know it's probably bs)

Im for selling Pato, he is far to injured and can't help the team from home. And we could get 3 players to fill much needed spots.
I don't want to sell Pato.. I think he has the potential to be great....
However if the Milan Technical staff determined he's another Lemon like Kaka, hurt all the time, then they'll have to do it. However, I do NOT want Gerrard as he doesn't fit, and he's older..

If this had to be done, I'd want to also sell Ronaldinho for €10M, then €65 for Pato which equals: €75Million

Then buy
Van der Wiel €20 M
Jucilei €10 M
Neymar €25M
Pastore €25M

Definitely, these websites have people coming back every single day to read new bull**** they produce. Do you honestly believe anyone from the Milan management group would publicly say, yes we want to push Pato on Man City and sign 2 players who in the real world will never wear our uniform.

that article is pure bs lol. im for signing pastore but with 65mill id much rather buy van der wiel , neymar, ganso and a gk or cdm... neymar alone will fill in patos position in a few years hopefully and the others would just be adding on to the squad, so imagine..

Italy edges closer to losing their fourth spot.....in Europe this week

Germany: 2 wins 1 loss in CL, 1 win 1 draw 1 loss in Europa

Italy: 2 wins 1 draw in CL, 2 wins 2 draws in Europa

Italy needs to dominate and Germany needs to flop miserably if Italy wants to have any hope of keeping the fourth spot next year. This year so far Germany has 6 points (total 59.770), and Italy 5.285 (total 54.266). We really need all of the Germans to be eliminated ASAP to keep that fourth spot. Napoli fielding their reserve team and going 3-0 down in 12 minutes against Bucharest does not do Italy any favors. The Europa League teams have to wake up and perform for once.

Same goes for Milan and Roma in CL. The more wins we get in the groups the better. Fiorentina had 6 wins last year out of 8 games and had only 2 points less than Inter who eventually won the CL.

Here's the site if you want to bookmark it to follow during the year..

http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/...ccoef2011.html

Italy needs to have an average of 5 points higher than the Germans to be ok for next year. There's no way we're going to do that, but we also said that it was impossible for Inter to win the CL...

7:50... Antonini doing nice piece of skill followed by nicer from Ibracadabra..

Then Gattuso being funny.. then Gattuso punching teammate in head..makes Ibra's kicking of Strasser look like no big deal

If he is a lemon that will bring us another CL trophy, I would take/keep the lemon.

Kaka was not a Lemon WHEN he took us to a CL Win... but his injuries after that have been persistent, and I would bet he will never return to that level again... I'm hoping Pato is not a lemon from the start, and these injury issues have something to do with his growth development....

Even thinking about selling Pato should be crime punishable by death.

I can't wait for the Ibra-Pato show. Whoever partners them in the front three, Ronaldinho, Robinho, Seedorf, whoever, it's going to be incredible.

I'm not sure if we're really going to be making any purchases this Winter, although it would be a waste not to use the non EU spot.

ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
We're heavily linked to Pedro Leon today. I'm not really sure why though as I really can't see what would be the best way to fit him into our side.

Robinho, since his start at Santos at 18yo always showed he's more comfortable starting from the left. Not as a winger, but as a second striker. I don't understand the fixation of coaches in Europe to turn him into a wide player. It's already proved he can't do it. On the other hand, give him a free role, and the guy will bring so much movement to the team, will create so much space... I said it for year here, like Neymar, Robinho is at his best playing one touch football and a roaming the field. They aren't good holding onto the ball like Messi or Robben. Thats not their game.

Give Robinho a free role behind Pato and Ibra. Let Pato play more up front as a CF and Ibra moving out of the box to chase and hold the ball and our attack will be 2x better. I just hope Allegri has the courage to bench Ronaldinho and Berlusconi don't complain from the stands...
Now, we are talking. You took the words out of my mouth, Robinho is not a player like ronaldinho, he will do wonders playing with Ibra & Pato, ditch the whole wide forwards thingy, we played best when we had 3 attackers in the centre so why do something stupid like our current formation? Leave the wide position to the LB, RB and midfield. Leave the byline, corners area, we sucks at trying to get a cross in from there. Play wide from the back and then narrow down to centre forward. We don't need to care if the opponents like to park their bus in front of goal, with 3 players who can create and run at opponents, we will get the goals we need. Ronaldinho must go, Boateng must play, only one of Rino/ambro/Flamini can be on the field.
