We don't know how serious it is and if he could make it to the next game which is only three days.

Strasser improved a lot with his passes since the start of the season, this guy is not short of confidence.

Sad and interesting to see all Boateng, Flamini, Rino and Ambro out in next game, we need one more Strasser on the bench. Meanwhile we have 4 forwards + Merkel disposable. Time to play Janku or push forward Abate and field Oddo?
And Pirlo too.

But on the bright side, merkel started and if you want to watch this match, just watch it from the 75th min....

And wats up with the long ball tactic???
Exactly, I think that the result was quite generous to Milan given the absolutely appalling display today. Constant lost of the ball (not just that Abbiati incident) and allowing Caliagri players to constantly come in front of them to steal the ball.

Concentration and desire were severely lacking. If I was Allegri, I might go as far as to chewed them up even though they won.

For improving the team play in the future, I still think that Milan needs better fullbacks as the fielding of 2 defensive midfielders in Rino and Ambro seems to be in response to compensate for the weakness on fullbacks. Milan has always been weak in defending long range shots in Ancelotti's system due to Pirlo's deep playmaker position (Pirlo can't defend) and credit Allegri for the balancing solution of moving Pirlo to the left and shifting Rino/Ambro to more central positioning.

This may work, but it feels ... patchy and compensative.

Love seeing Strasser and Merkel get their chances in blooding them into the first team. This youth blooding in should have begun in 2008, a rare strategic error from Milan.

Still think that Milan has a great chance now to keep the pace and win Serie A but it will be an uphill struggle to even get into the semi-finals of the CL.

P.S. nothing lucky about the FAntonio assist, though. Wonderful link up with Robinho. The classiness was already evident in Dubai

WOW, such a shame. Fans are so biased. No one giving a slight bit of credit for Bonera's good display. The guy gets huge bashing for mistakes he make (& rightly so), but should be praised when he fills in for Nesta and does a good job.

bonera made two big mistakes in quick succession today which could have led to goal opportunities.. imo this game i have to admit was a huge flook other then the creativity of robinho and cassano in the last few minutes.. im happy to see that strasser scored - he just has this thing about him that makes me think hes mature enough to play for us, like confident is what i mean and dedicated, very dedicated. you could tell by how happy he was from scoring that goal.. i would definitely love to see strasser one day be in our starting line up. anyhow my outlook on this game was that we lacked alot of creativity until cassano came on, gattuso didnt play so well today, pato did what he could was given a great opportunity id expect him to bury that with ease but again he didnt have much creativity until cassano came on.. robinho is more of a helper to are cam and ibra when we have a healthy line up, i dont think he can create much on his own with just pato up their and seedorf has been playing badly as of late.. id never want to see him leave but f stop playing him on such a regular basis

Ok, Bonera did not make too much errors in this match but I remember some really weak clearances in the first half which put the defense under pressure. Not single-ing him out because the whole team was quite frankly poor in concentration. This has nothing to do with tactics or strategy -- they just seem to not turn up.

Could live with such a performance from Bonera as a squad player and he could be more imposing. Still not top notch if we want to aim higher.

If Gattuso is there, we could see a midfield with Merkel, Strasser, Gattuso and Seedorf from the first minute and a guy like Fossati coming in then ?

If Gattuso can't be there, Allegri will have no choice but using Primavera players ...

Jankulovski is definitely out of the squad IMO, so he can't be considered like a valid option (if he had been considered like a potential midfielder by Allegri, he would have used him instead of Strasser in the last 15 minutes of the last game).

With Nesta out, we need to stabilize a little our defence, so Abate and Antonini will probably keep their position as our FB, with Thiago Silva and probably Bonera again.

We could use Sokratis (where is he ?!) as DM like he did against Argentina, just for one game, but that would be like playing with 5 defenders, and I don't think Allegri will do that.

I think we'll be surprised this week end, and let's hope we will manage to win this one despite our injury crisis (wow, it starts in January this year ... the last few years, it started before !!).

I know one thing for sure. AC Milan is going to win the Scudetto this season. No matter where Ganso (or whatever) ends up, no matter where R80 goes, no matter who Inter buy, no matter what tactics the loser Leonardo employs at Inter, no matter who plays in the absence of Nesta, no matter which two FBs play for AC Milan, no matter how many chances the useless Robinho misses, no matter if AC Milan fails to sign Mexes, D.Luiz or Cristico, no matter how bad Seedorf plays in the midfield & so on ............. I am dead sure of one thing. AC Milan will be the champions of Italy this year & thats the bottom line.

Now the question to be asked is if ACM will end up winning the UCL also

I usually agreed with you, fLame (and therefore disagreed often with mzk57) but that loser Leonardo is now working for Merda and I'm not in the business of praising opponents.

Constant had already lost the ball before he played for us? Bad sign.

Sorry, just can't resist making pun of it.

You know, that is a wonderful thought per se, and I am very eager to see how this young player will do. I heard that he plays like Pirlo and even looks like Pirlo (the sleepy eyes). However, I doubt that will happen. At least Merkel or Strasser or Odu or Verdi (and so on) have played some summer friendlies, and I don't remember Fossati playing any (did he?), so it would be way too huge a risk to put him in for a official league game.

Am quitely optimistic that your prediction will come true. But for cup matches I think we have a better chance at securing the Coppa Italia this season
All the big teams are on the other side of the divide and we won't be meeting any of them until we potentially reach the Finals. Then it'll just be one great performance and we'll be total champs of Italy

UCL will be a much more different cookie, and I think we'll have to see how the team fairs against Spurs before we can be making any predictions there.

Fossati is one of player that I really want to watch. The reason is that he probably play like Pirlo, a creative midfielder. We never had such player for a long of time at least with more quality one. We have Di Gennaro but he is more an offensive player who plays behind striker and I don't think that he is creative enough to play-make our game.
