Well, it will improve our first XI: it adds competition, which will force Antonini to give his best or he will be replaced. Antonini is able to make some great performances (he did it last year), far better than what he has showed this season, so if that helps him to play again at some good level, that's an improvement for our best XI ...

If he doesn't manage to play well, Ziegler will be very happy to take his place and show us how a left footed LB hugs the line ...

Antonini and Abate are, as a consequence, our only serious options available for these positions. We clearly need one, if not two, players. It's why I believe we could take both Criscito and Ziegler for example. And I always thought Ziegler was a good player. So I think he will be a good squad player.

I am not a fan of Nini the RB, but both him and Abate are rarely good at the same time, so let them compete for one position is a good idea.

Champions League) and did it all comming from the bench. And all of it with only 20 year old, for a position we need and we are not even looking for him?!?! When I said here some months ago that Brazilian players are underrated these days...

The fact is that nowadays, for a talented player, with no disrespect for the clubs from Eastern Europe, when they sign there, there is almost no chance, unless the guy shines with this club in CL, that one of the big clubs of Europe will look for him ...

IMO, nowadays, it's like wanting to make it harder for his own career to sign in Ukraine or Russia ...

He's gone to Dnipropetrovsk Brasileiro..Yeah not a huge name BUT...they are pumping in money just like Shakhtar built a new stadium nice one aswell and have Juande Ramos as manager (read into that how you like) so Im thinking Giuliano and his agent think , we'll be playing in Europe club competition next season and be in the shop window..Make alot of money for a season or 2 and move on then.But I do agree he should of gone to a bigger club.Not the worst move though as you see even with Yaya Toure 1 or 2 seasons and boom you get the attention of a huge club.

No, Geo... first time he will leave Brazil... and you couldn´t be more right about the bold part.

Giuliano is a smart boy, and he accepting this move let me confused. Jucilei last season had a chance to go there(E. Europe) and his agent said they will hold for a better league. He almost go o PSG, but also chose to wait for a BIG in Europe. Giuliano will kills his chance with Brazil NT and he was almost certain at Olympic squad. Terrible move... and strange, for a guy that said he plan his career in the mold of Kaká.

If the recent history shows anything for these young Brazilians, is that this is a bad strategy. Fernandinho come from being a bright spot in world title from Brazil under-20 and is still there. William is a amazing young #10 and is still there. Douglas Costa is a player for a big club and is forgotten there... Btw, from what I heard here, these Ukraine and Russia clubs don´t sell easily. Plus, I doubt they will improve(as players) there...

It´s better to pull a Hernanes and goes to Europe at 25.

Without wanting to sound pessimistic, I think a lot of players will join these eastern european sides for money

Not to spark a bigger conversation, I've already ruffled feathers today, but it is of my opinion that that Western European Clubs (English clubs in particular), won't rule forever. Money shifts, from West to East currently. I think Russian clubs will be very strong in next 5-10 years. I know it's cold and their season is different, but if that all manages to get sorted out, they can and will have the money to buy good players.

Like Dev said, Brazilians and others will go where the money is. It almost always is about the money....Furthermore, England is in such massive debt, along with the E.U., who knows if this will all end up badly, but Russia and Ukraine are in better financial shape. Who knows what will happen. Luckily for us, Berlusconi is extremely rich, partnering rich companies. Moratti is in oil, which is even better business in the next decade....

The league times wont and really cant change..cannot be playing in -15 or -20 , there dangerous countries also and corrupt for reasons like this they will never be like the bundesliga or EPL.Sure there is alot of money but you can by euro 2012 how bad they are at organizing ( that sounds kind of xenophobic im not) the powers that be couldnt organize an orgy in a who*re house...I am saying the upper people not the ordinary working man and woman...just my opinion though.

Is Ziegler for sure a Milan player? or still just rumors? Is it a fair comparison to Jankulovski when he came from Udine? Lefty wide player placed at LB in the Italian game, strong going forward and suspect at defense.

There´s no doubt about that, but it´s not only the player fault. The new Inter president said they need to sell a player asap. I don´t know about other places, but you guys have no idea of the presure some Clubs do to the player accept the offer. Marcelo before Real madrid has a history to tell...

Btw, watching Milan now, if what the TV comentator told is true(is a idiot, but has conections in Italy), you can count Pato out of Milan next season. Unless galliani work some magic...

i dont think 1 problematic game can harm Pato's future with this club. I know footballers are prescious little fairies, but that's a bit over the top.
