FFP is mockery which never should existed in first place. They found a loopholes. (Neymar ,etc). And one hardly can make something without loopholes. Take for example ,UEFA threatening to forbid players to play WC and EC if they play SL... There is loophole for that as well. SL clubs could fire all required players ,send them to play WC as free agents than hire them again when WC is over.
Chelsea and Man City withdraw from Super League.
Both ESL and the Uefa/Fifa have their defects. Having a spot guaranteed in the ESL is against meritocracy... Fifa and UEFA shot on their own knee with the FFP shit... So IMO, the part that will remove its defects soonest possible, will survive on long term.
For the FIFA and UEFA, if not else, this a wake up call... If the ESL doesn't succeed now,surely will in the future, if things don't change.
I have the feeling that ESL will fail now, with founder clubs getting privileges from UEFA to continue and play in the CL...such as lifting of the FFP rule
