i'll put it simple... no names needed... rather a quick describtion of what we need...
1... a striker that isn't wasteful & can score consistently... even in the CL... the quality of the goals isn't important... rather the regularity & quantity...
2... a forward of quality to challenge/replace Oliveira...
3... a like-for-like replacement for Seedorf or Kaka... Gourcuff alone isn't enough... more attackin' midfielders is a big must now... we have been sendin' in defenders or defensive midfielders even when we are tryin' to get goals... if that isn't a clear indication we are lackin' attackin' options from midfield... i don't know what does... Foggia returnin' would definitely add width too...
4... a like-for-like Pirlo replacement... someone with a creative brain & good passin'... thus Pirlo can be rested at times against weaker opponents to keep himself fresh for sterner tests... Brocchi & Ambro are not decent replacements in that role...
5... a new LB... while Janku can remain first choice at LB... surely he need a deputy that can challenge him in that position... i rather Serginho move into his more familiar midfield role & he can remain an emergency LB if necessary...
6... likewise at RB... if Marazotti (spelling?) proves his worth at Empoli... he can return to be a deputy to a new seasoned & experienced RB... Bonera should only feature as an emergency RB... he would be better off as a CB where we would be safe for the time bein' with Nesta... Kaladze... Simic & Bonera as options... Favalli would only be considered in the worst of situations...
7... a new GK only if Dida doesn't sign an extension... else Coppolla or Abbiati might be enough unless someone young & good is found...
all in all... 7 new signings to finally make Milan more competitive... and this is the bare minimum...
You are on the spot Zz. It may sound like too many signings, but like you said we don't really need a lot of new starters. 2 will do the trick and those are a RB and a FW/ST! The rest is just quality back-ups that can always step in and we wouldn't feel the level of play going down.
rossoneri....what are you talking about? I would agree for the Oddo part, but Marquez for Nesta? I really think that you are the only person I have heard say anything like that and the only person that I have heard actually wanting to drop Nesta for someone else. Nesta is the rock in our defence and will remain to be for another 3-4 years.

I don't know if we are really going to buy any players but I really hope that we sign players on a loan or 1 year deals. Those players should be like favalli, old but still with something to prove. They can be a good back-up to our world cup players as thay have started to complain about fatigue now. It was obvious from the beggining itself that we needed to have a bigger sqaud this year due to the WC and UCL qualification.
Pirlo used to get injured and feel tired even without WC last year when they have holiday for a month and half. This year guys like Nesta, Pirlo and Rino had just 10 days vaccation. This issue cannot be overlooked as players will start getting injured later in this season without any back ups.

Good post zZz..
Realistically though.
1&2 will get rolled into 1 player. ie. MAYBE we will sign 1 forward this year.
3 - I agree and vote for Sneijder
4 - I agree and there are many good options
5 - I doubt a LB will be a priority and I doubt anyone will be signed.
Look at all the guys who can play LB (sort of)
Maldini (too old)
Janku (Good, but Milan experience?)
Kaladze (good, but better at CB)
Favalli (ugh.. not even a good choice for a backup)
Seginho (more of a LW, ok as a backup but too old for everyday)
Costacurta (ok, stretching. He's not a LB and is too old anyway)
--- point is, Milan won't buy a LB this year.
6 - true RB definately needed badly.
With cafu, simic, and bonera I doubt we'll sign anyone until next year.
7 - Abbiati may be a good choice if Dida doesn't sign but not Coppolla. Coppolla for a backup maybe. Hopefully we'll sign Amelia next year, even if Dida does sign.
Anyway good post. Unfortunately there seems to be a big gap between what is needed and what we'll get. Hopefully I'm wrong on that.
I miss JDT, he is the best back up striker we have ever had.

Because some players like Ronaldinho,Henry or Et'o are very difficult to
sign i made this list for some players who are one step to be signed from
some super football clubs:
GK:Amelia,Kanemi,Hildebrand,Sebastien Frey,Igor Akinfeev,
DC:Alejandro Millito,Chivu,Barzagli,Steven Taylor,Mexes,Nigel de Jong,
Huth,Felipe(udinese),Kompany,Van Buyten,Abidal,Ledley King
DR:Arne Friedrich,Rafinha,Davi Alves,Trabelsi,Zebina,Nicky Hunt,Miguel,
Zenoni,Zaccardo,Oddo
DL:Taiwo,Antonio Lopez,Del horno,Fabio Aurelio,Dede,Chielini,Quedrue,
Emanuelson,Julio Arca
DM:De Rossi,Lorik Cana,Orbaiz,macherano,Sissoko,Muntari,Pedretti,
Scott Parker,Alou Diarra,Yaya Toure,Appiah,
ML:Malouda,Di michele,Ribery,Kobiashvili,Mauro Esposito,Keita,Downing,
Sneider,Montolivo,Matrin Petrof,Kapo,Boa Morte
MR:Amantino Mancini,Edu(betis),Jesus Navas,El-Hadji Diouf,Karimi,
Stefano Dianna,Di natale,Wilhemson,Martin Galleti,Pennant,Santana,
Maxi Rodriguez,
AMC:Tuncay,Aimar,Lincoln,D'alesandro,Van der Vaart,Diego(W.Breme),
Arshavin,Alex(Fenerbahce),Elano,
ST:Huntelaar,Torres,Tevez,Sobis,Defoe,Liorente,Cavenaghi,Suazo,Pazzini,
Fred,Chevanton,Luca Toni,Kezman,Colins John,Nadson
you should remember the clubs who bought Essien and Diarra were Real and Chelsea:D. De Rossi at the moment can't reach 20M I'm sure. Zlatan was only more than 16M, Joaquin was more than 16M, Carrick was more than 17 M <and 17 M was a overpaid price>, Tevez and Mascherano were about that price too. Though the performances of the players above are not good now, but in last season, who could say they were not good <not sure about Zlatan:D>. With 20M I'd rather see we add some more money <about 5M more> and get Vaart and Sneijder:D.
If mascherono ,joaqin and carick were bought for 15-17mil than DeRossi's(World Champion) value is definitely over 20mil
He is a young and very talented player who plays excelent for Roma and Italy
This is actually what our list should look like
GK:None needed Dida is the best IMO
CB:Barzagli,Mexes,Ledley King, Chris
RB:Oddo, Rathino
LB: none needed in December we have Paolo and Kala
DM:De Rossi
ML:Malouda,Di michele,Ribery,Kobiashvili,Mauro Esposito,Keita,Downing,
Sneider,Montolivo
AMC:Lincoln,D'alesandro,Van der Vaart,
ST:Huntelaar,Torres,Tevez,Cavenaghi,Suazo,Fred,Chevanton,
Please don't mention players like Zebina and Kezman or 30+ players like Toni or recently moved players like Sobis
Most of these players are still not Milan standard. I suggest we get Ronaldo as an interim measure. He is still a fantastic striker and is the same age as Sheva and a couple months older than Henry. Capello forced him to et beck into shape annd his skills and speed match and beat anything we have now
**Don't swear**
I've doctored your post because most of the names you put up are pointless.
DC:Steven Taylor (rubbish),Nigel de Jong (isn't he a midfielder?), Huth (just moved, won't get him) ,Kompany (just moved),Van Buyten (just moved),Abidal (he's a left-back),Ledley King (can be good at times, don't think he's for us though)
DR:Davi Alves (everyone wants him),Trabelsi (just moved),Zebina (poor player),Nicky Hunt (poor player),Miguel (won't move),
Zenoni (not good enough),Zaccardo (not good enough and plays CB now)
DL:Del horno (not good enough),Fabio Aurelio (just moved),Quedrue (not good enough & just moved),Julio Arca (poor player)
DM:macherano (possible),Sissoko (no chance of getting him),Pedretti (didn't play well for Lyon), Alou Diarra (just moved),Yaya Toure (just moved),Appiah (possible)
ML:Downing (not good enough),Boa Morte (not good enough)
MR:Jesus Navas (i think this is the player who gets home sick REALLY easily),El-Hadji Diouf (NO),Pennant (no chance),Maxi Rodriguez (tricky to get, is injured anyway)
AMC:Aimar (just moved),D'alesandro (just moved),
ST:Tevez (possible),Sobis (why would we get him now when we refused him 3 months ago?),Defoe (not good enough),Cavenaghi (not unless his suddenly got amazing again),Fred (no chance),Chevanton (not the same player anymore),Kezman (no way),Colins John (not good enough)
I'm sorry, but most of those people on your list just aren't up to scratch or we have no chance of getting as they've just moved to a new club. You need to think about this a bit more.

@ tardissun...
for me 1 & 2 should be different players... tho i am not sayin' that it cannot be just 1 player... reason bein' that Oliveira needs someone to challenge or replace him... and with Inzaghi about to retire soon... and Gilardino firin' blanks... a striker would be useful... unless Boriello can step up when given what little chance he has... or Gilardino gets more consistent...
personally... i think Sneijder fits more into 4... but he would do fine as 3... that's the usefulness of his versatility...
as for the discussion of LB... it is not for this season... but next season... from that list you wrote... 2 is out with retirement (Maldini & Costacurta)... Kaladze would likely stay as CB... Serginho pushed back into midfield (or an emergency LB as i pointed out previously)... Favalli only in the worst of situations as mentioned before... that leaves only Janku... which isn't ideal for a team that is fightin' in many competitions... considerin' he would need to be rested at times... face suspension & what not...
as for RB... Cafu can stay on as an option (if he doesn't leave/retire)... with Marzoratti (if he peforms with Empoli) another option when he returns... but like you & many has mentioned... an area which we must get a new & ready reinforcement...
as for Amelia... i rather he stay in Livorno if he isn't goin' to be first choice in Milan... reason bein' he might lose confidence & get rusty if he doesn't play regularly...
Are you sure that you know these players???
I dont think so that you do!!!!I think you never had watch them playing!

I live in England, i watch the Premiership week in week out, i know Boa Morte. He's not that good. I'm a staunch defender of english teams at times, but some of the players you mention really are poor. I think it's you who might not know these players that well.

sorry rosoneri_11... but i agree with Jim... a heap of the players you mentioned are not even good enough for Milan... like Boa Morte... i am quite a fan of his... but he can't even get into Portugal's first team... do you really think Scolari doesn't know of his abilities?
as for ex-Chelsea's Huth & Del Horno... would Chelsea have released either if they are really that good?
from your list... only a small amount can make the cut...
I can advise some players from Turkey. Tuncay from F5 ARDA from Galatasaray
Tuncay Sanli / 1982/ AM
ARDA Turan / 1987 / LM
here is some links about ARDA take a look what do you think?

rossoneri_11......no offense.........but it seems like you went on Football Manager and just pulled out names.
The Arda guy seems to be pretty good. I am impressed by the way he uses both feet. It seems that the right foot is his favored one from what I saw but he is really good at crossing the ball with his left as well. Interesting player!

Arda really looks good. Good footwork, nothing fancy but effective like zidane. But really our transfer market trends really show that our management won't even bother to ask a scout in turkey about the player. It just needs a phone call and some time. Thanks for the info temur any idea how much he will cost?

Sorry man, Jim is right. Most of those players are average or Milan wont sign them. How many england players do you think we'll sign? Unfortunately youv'e looked in the totally wrong country. Try south america, Italy and holland
Midfield: Higuain, Lucas (both are eu), Sneijder, Babel
Strikers: Kerlon, Huntelaar, Palacio
Defenders: Radoi(romania), Barzagly(Possible to Juve)
Everyone knows about these players but thats cause theyre decent and were in a realistic shot of signing them
About Arda I can say he has been playing at Galatasaray since he was 12. he was the captain of Turkish under 19 team ( Euro. Champ Finalist). Like your comment he is an interesting player. for example: he plays LM but in the game he comes RM also he can play RB. Galatasaray don't want to sell him until 2008 Euro Champ. He is now playing in Turkish National Team.
176 cm 72 kg Right foot
and as a Galatasaray Fan I watched Arda and Ribery several times and I can say he is more talented than Ribery.
I often change my 'dream' squad for Milan, here are my current choices.
1st team:
Buffon, Zambrotta, Kaladze, Nesta, Alves, Di Rossi, Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaka, Torres, Gilardino
2nd team:
Cudicini, Marcelo, Maldini, Barzagli, Oddo, Juninho, Brocchi, Gourcuff, Higuain, Di Michele, Inzaghi
Reserves:
Fiori, Simic/Serginho (haven't made my mind up yet :D)
But that's a 24 man squad with 15 Italian players, not bad i think. Though this Arda guy sounds like i might have to alter my choices again :delol:

i like ur team Jim, its the kinda shape i would go, plus its not completely in the fantasy world... im glad im not the only one who would include Cudicini also :devf:
My team is like that:
Buffon- Zaccardo-Nesta-Puyol-Zambrotta
Gattuso-Pirlo-Kaka-Ribery
Nistelrooy- Van Persie
Subs: Seedorf-Arda-Xavi,XAbi Alonso, Amelia
Temur19, a question. First you put this ...

Then you put this ...
Buffon- Zaccardo-Nesta-Puyol-Zambrotta
Gattuso-Pirlo-Kaka-Ribery
Nistelrooy- Van Persie

How did that happen? :guw:
Because there are 4 years between Arda and Ribery. Ribery now has physique and condition but Arda does not have good match conditon for now. but he is talented than ribery i can say that. if you watch liverpool game in İstanbul you will see it
unless the match is on itv (english channel) i won't be able to watch him.
http://www.goal.com/en/articolo.aspx?contenutoid=154533
why do we let small teams take this kid away from us? I think he can be great, given the right situation. And I'm sure we can outbid Palermo !
Cassano - Gilardino
Kaka
Gourcuff - Pirlo - Gattuso
Pasqual - Kaldze - Nesta - Miguel
Buffon
Oliveira - Inzaghi
Montolivo - Ambrosini - Maresca - Brocchi
Jankulovski - Bonera - Simic - Mesto
Kalac
------------------------(Dida; Coppola)-----------------------
(Oddo*; Bonera) - (Nesta; Kaladze; Maldini; Barzagli*; Simic) - (Janku; Serg.)

----------------------- (Kaka; Foggia) --------------------
-------------- (Oliveira; Cassano*) --------------------------

5 new signings. I believe that's all we will need next summer knowing that Costacurta, Cafu, Favalli, Boriello and one between Brocchi and Ambro will leave us. Possibly even Maldini!

Bonera shouldnt be bakup as RB, he plays like a monkey there. Either move to CB or sell him! Marzoratti will provide good enough backup there. And abbiati is good enough to be a 1st choice GK. Who is Mesto?

Galliani: AC Milan fans deserve special signing
tribalfooball.com - November 10, 2006
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has promised supporters "a special present" for the January market, though admits it's unlikely to be Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho.
Galliani said: "Ronaldinho? I want to say a big thank-you to the tifosi of Milan and for sure they deserve a special present.
"But that cannot be Ronaldinho, because it appears to me that Barcelona will not sell him.
"But for sure, our tifosi deserve to be rewarded for the passion that they have shown in their support of Milan, equally as much for when we win as when we lose."

Now that the South American booty is looted by "Los Disastrous". I think its time if we take a look european options (Nothing against non-eu players but we just didn't buy anything and when Braida said "They all want to go to RM", I am not spending time dreaming about them.)
Two players (full back) who come to my mind:
Antonio Barragan (RB). Talented, proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HfzX3i8K4g
Wiki info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Barrag%C3%A1n
Jim might be knowing about him more as he was with Liverpool. He is now with Depor but Liverpool have a sick clause in this sale, which entitles them to buy the player back in 2-3 years for half a million. Benitez is smart! He buys only good players and will go to any corner of earth to find them. So I guess we should follow his steps or even ask him for some advice on good young players. I hoped that we could have got Mark Gonzalez and turned him into a wing-back, what an amazing player we could have made out of him.
Jeroen Drost (LB). Talented, no proof yet.
Wiki info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeroen_Drost
My dutch friend told me about Drost. He is with Heerenveen and has good potential. He is fast, good at stealing and sort of a wing-back. He can grow the Milan way by playing under the shadow of our other LBs.
Amongst the 2 Barragan looks more promising and plays as a RB (a position which has only Bonera as a back up who is actually a CB)
ooooooooooooooo arda turan oleeeeeeeeeeeey
I was thinking how to spend 100mil we want to give to Barca for Ronaldinho....look at this...
................amelia..............
oddo....nesta....barzagli...kaladze....
...............pirlo...................
...gattuso........gourcuff.........
.......kaka'........duff.........
..............torres..................
Im sure that, for 100mil, we can buy Amelia,Oddo,Barzagli,Duff ( who plays now in Newcastly but is world class wing forward), and Torres. With players like Seedorf, Jankulovski, Ambrosini, Oliveira and Inzaghi/Gila still in our squad, we have super team, and still we have done a good job with refreshing our squad. So this is my super (maybe realistic team ).... :)

that teams not bad ... actually milan should go for cicinho at right back ... i hope enshalah they sign him ...in jan on time :firedev:
We need goals, and Iaquinta isn't the way to go. Kaladze is miles better than Barzagli also.
If it is Ancelotti's last season then I hope to see someone who has faith in youth, and plays good att football. I'd make a big offer to Wenger, esp if he could bring Henry.
Henry, R10, & Kaka in a 433 formation with a good midfield would destroy any team
Kaladze is miles better than Barzagli also.
probably not, besides he is injured more often than the italian. i think they are quite on par. we need one more quality cb and if we would get barzagli i would start him, if he is not too impressive kaladze can still take the starting spot. we just need a bit of competition and with nesta also out more often than in the past i think all 3 would get enough minutes.
We need goals, and Iaquinta isn't the way to go.
i know he isn't too popular but i think he would be a good back up player and with inzaghi still around for some time i think we would be covered pretty well. (in the formation i posted above)
anyway this is all just fantacalcio (and i love doing those formations *gg*). there are many ways to go, i just hope we decide on one and then do something.
I think the philosophy of a club like Milan is to always look for the best no matter where they are from, but the management in recent times don't agree, and are looking for bargain basement buys. IMO Iaquinta & Barzagli are not the players to lead us forward, neither as starters or reliable subs. We need to be testing the resolve of other players the way other clubs do with Kaka & did with Sheva. None of this crap like he's a good player, but we happy with our non-scoring forwards. Let's get serious. Otherwise though in charge should seek other jobs.

i would prefer Ledley King,or Raul Albiol,or Mexes or Chivu than Barzagli!
1) Barzagli is Italian. The others are not. (Obvious statement, but that's 1 big reason why he's likely favored)
2) Who I would take depends entirely on the price tag.
3) I can understand the other guys - but Ledley? Seriously? He's not bad, but if that's the best we can sign, it's not that great.
I would rather we go for Perea (Atletico Madrid) and/or Gabriel Milito (Real Zaragoza), both seem tough centre-backs, which is what we need.

I think the reason why Italy's big guns are so keen Barzagli, apart from him being Italian, is that they are sure that he will improve on his current form/abilities at his new club.
Right now, I think he is a very good player/prospect but not true Milan or Juve quality yet. Problem is he's italian and as it's often the case the lack of quality players in the local scene is driving his price way up.
This beeing said, I am more and more keen on Cris and Alex. Wouldn't mind a return of Canna to Italy either - he may be old but an experienced defender of his quality is always a plus ;)
Jim might be knowing about him more as he was with Liverpool. ooops, sorry Rahul, i only just saw your post :D
Barragan was a great prospect and i was disappointed to see him leave, but he was only playing in the reserves and not getting any time in the first team. I think he might have been on the bench now and again and had the odd game, but nothing remotely regular. So i can't blame him for wanting to move back to Spain and get some games under his belt. He's definately one to keep an eye on and as you pointed out Rahul, Benitez has that clause to buy him back for such a small sum of money within the next 3 years. A smart bit of business i think.
Gonzalez is a great prospect, his performances in Spain in the second half of last season where fantastic. He was a constant menace against everyone and given enough games and time to adapt to England, i think he'll become a great player in the Premiership.

attackingwise he is indeed a very good player but in defense, his physical fitness and strength are quite questionable IMO. At 170cm tall, he would hardly be an obstacle for many in the aerial battles and that's an aspect of the game that should not be overlooked as games between two strong teams are often decided by goals from corners or free kicks.

Of the 3 that are gone:
1) Crespo - Gila was signed. While some folks may say isn't going to cut it at Milan - he was a good signing at the time and if I was the GM, I would have pursued him too. I still have faith in him.
2) Sheva - I don't think anyone expected him to leave. So this was a shock. This wouldn't be an easy hole to fill anyway.
3) Stam - I guess you could say his replacement is Bonera. I think Bonera has a great future as a CB. We still need a RB.
- another, Rui Costa - we signed Gourcuff.
Anyway, I don't think that's the problem. The problem is:
1) Our defense is too old (IMHO) and we don't have a stable transition for the future. Especially true at RB. Defense this year has been hampered heavily by injuries, which is unfortunate - because at full strength we'd probably be much higher in the league. (Team would play better overall, and maybe create more chances to score goals and not hit the woodwork)
2) Lack of a definitive goal scorer such as Sheva. Most of the forwards at Milan are more of goal poachers, rather than goal creators. Sheva was more of the latter. We need one of those to round out the team.
Look at it this way, in 3 years how many members of this team are going to be retired. At the very least: Maldini, Costacurta, Seginho, Cafu, Inzaghi, Fiori, and maybe Dida. Considering 5 of these are likely starters, that's half of the starting squad.

Since Milan are a bunch of el-cheapos ive compiled a list of suitable players that milan can sign in Jan and summer:
Claudio Pizarro (bayer) - Free Transfer
Abbiati - Return from loan (knowing us we are not prepared to spend money on amelia even if he is a little bit better)
Lucas Leiva (gremio) probably at most 5 million pounds, which may fall in budget but a good player
Abidal (unkown) - his nearing Milans required age so theyd probably move heaven and earth to sign him...
Lucas Neill (Free transfer) He sucks npo one likes him I certainly dont, but hey hes for free so who cares!
ANd anyone else who is overrated, no longer needed by their clubs and is available on a free!

It is as simple as this would you like to have Daniele DeRossi at Milan or not? Opinions needed?
I mean look De Rossi is a holding midfielder but he is not an allien for playing on the left side of the midfield the place where Seedorf currently plays. Just imagine him playing on the left hand side and coming back and helping Pirlo when needed. This will also allow Pirlo the much needed freedom as DeRossi will provide some cover to Pirlo. :5schal:

I totally agree that Daniele De Rossi would be an excellent signing for Milan, he's a great player. He would add more steel and youth to an ageing and (too) soft Milan-team. We need to be tougher and fight harder.

We're not going to get him. Although granted, he would be a great player to sign. Roma won't let a young rising star leave to a direct competitor so easily, if at all unless a ton of money is involved.
With the spending of the board lately, our dire need for young defenders and a forward who can actually score - a midfielder shouldn't be the top priority, yet.

Milan should buy Kerzhakov - attacker from Zenit St-Petersburg. This guy is really good...Sevilla and Shalke04 are interested in him at the moment. They suggest small money, so the club doesnt want to give him, although Kerzhakov himself wants to play in Europe. If Milan suggests something like 5-6 million, I m sure Zenit would sell him.
I think we should not buy any big stars now. Big names cost big money and they are not necesserily gonna be good. So why not try big names from such countries as Russia, Korea or Turkey? They also have very good players, just the price is different.

Well...for 5-6 million he is worth buying...I think. And he really wants to play in Europe. He is one of my favorite players, and if he leaves Zenit - then he d better come to Milan, then some other team, where I won't be able to see him. A great thing about him, that might make him a great striker, is that he doesnt hesitate shoting, even from impossible position. He is not like some players who think long before shoting, coz they trying to be very precise...he shots a lot, and scores a lot too.

I have a idea, it will be very difficult, but i am going to try this.
I am not going to read a single artical or check any website regarding football untill the end on january. if the president was serious about making our club great again, we will have bought some fresh blood by then.
i honestly cant remember the last time i felt so depressed looking at our results, teamsheets etc. hopefully 2007 will be so different.
Gila will come good, but another YOUNG striker is required, Cafu needs a replacement(alves would be amazing, but will not come)
at least another 2 defenders are required and midfield needs a rethink. too slow and predictable. need pace and movement, we have steel in the form of gattuso, but players like ambro and seedorff have had there time, need to go and YOUNG alternatives need to arrive. do we have a youth team?

Arshavin is Russian version of Kaka...he is great, and he is the best Russian player at the moment. He is good as an attacking midfielder and striker, he tried both positions. He has great speed, great dribbling skills, great tackling skills, great shot, great header and plus he does so much during the game, that here is not enough space to talk about it :).
But I m not talking about him as a possible target to buy, as Zenit is not selling this player, not selling even if suggested huge money. Because they realize that if he goes, Zenit is not going to be as strong anymore, because there is no suitable sub at the moment. Such players are precious!

hehe yeah Sheva was that kind of player but he left you never know :D
Club does a lot to keep him..at the moment, according to rumours..Arshavin is the highest paid player in the team. You see, Zenit is owned by GAZPROM, which is the biggest Russian company. We are not in need of money, have a good team at the moment, and possibly will take gold next year. This year we finished 4th, just because our coach was substituted during the season, and another coach came not immidiately, then we bought some new players and they had to get used to each other. So next season we are going to be unbeatable. Why would Arshavin want to leave such a great club, where he has a great salary and feels important? He might not get all of that in another club...would you risk on his place? I would not....

But Kerzhakov now wants to leave, so that is the reason, why I think Milan should take him. He is also very good.

If Milan are to buy anyone it should be: A new goalkeeper, a new left back, a new stricker.
Milan known for their creditable youth team should bring up some talented youth to sort out our ancient aged deffence, much respect to nesta, maldini and cafu their all ledgends but its time our deffence is sorted out.
Lets face it Dida is rubbish. A new keeper is needed possibly someone like Cudicini.
A decent left back can be brought up from the youth but a buy would be helpful.
The reason we keep losing in my opinion is becuase of Inzaghi the worst striker in the history of RossoNeri; David villa and Ricardo Oiliveria, and kaka behind them would be a monster threesome of attackers. And then there's always Gilardino who is a ledgend in himself.
Anyway we have 2-straight 3-0 wins and hopefully we end up at the end of the seaosn 4th or 5th.

I would like to have Gerrard Pique. He is on loan with Real Zaragoza and is owned by Manchester United. He usually plays as a CB. His age is 19. As an immature I would say that he is the next Nesta of Spain.
In the midfield, I would love to see Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira playing in Seedorf's position. He is Brasillian, 19 or so and can be sold by FC Porto if we pay them 10 MN pound for him. The fee would be just about alright considering Gago's extremly inflated fee. Again, as a immature I would say that he is the next Ronaldinho.

I think this 15 mil would be the result of a long term deal between the two clubs that doesn't inlvolve Kerzhakov's transfer only. The transfer fee for the player alone, which Sevilla would pay now seems to be around 5 mil euros or so and will go up depending on how he performs for his new team in the long run.
That's more of a realistic price, I think, as Kerzakhov, while a promising talent, is far from a proven and estrablished player ... and if he fails to live up to the expectations, he will be just one of many examples when changing countries/cultures didn't do a player much good.

The deal is the following (according to the official website and many other russian webs): 15 million for Kerzhakov and 3 frendlies between Zenit and Sevilla. Also in this price there is a cast of the rights for the broadcasting of those 3 friendlies in Russia and Spain. They say this deal became the biggest (among those involving Russian players). Alexandr ll sign a contract for 5 years.

I haven't seen him play but have read very good things about this player. Still, I think Sevilla are taking a big risk by going for him and at such a hefty price for more or less an unproven player.
What I think the biggest problem for Kerzhakov will be, is not that he doesn't have skills and talent but that he would face a big culture shock and this may very well hamper him from showing what he's capable of.

What I think the biggest problem for Kerzhakov will be, is not that he doesn't have skills and talent but that he would face a big culture shock and this may very well hamper him from showing what he's capable of.
Yes that can happen...although you cant really call Kerzhakov an "unproven player"...he played 6 years for Zenit and was a part of Russian National team.

I would be very happy if we are able to capture atleast 2 players from my team. Have any of you guys heard of the new players I have mentioned?
Pique wont play in Italy, in the unlikely event that Utd let him leave it will be to one of the big Spanish teams. Bale and Richards wont go to Italy either, they have the pick of the top English clubs so why bother? Bale seems a little overrated to me, i've seen him play a lot for Wales and Southampton and he isnt that good a defender, not yet anyway. He is certainly deadly from set pieces though, a brilliant free kick taker
I havent seen Matuidi play so i dont know if he's any good or not. Dos Santos, Messi and Kaka in the same team would be great to watch but probably not a great combination in terms of effectiveness ;)
What do you make of Huddlestone at Spurs Rahul? from what i've seen of him he is usually their best player.
I think micah richards is so overated its not even funny. But then again i could have been smoking something strange every time I watched.
yeah, there are loads of 18 year old right backs who could mark Robben out of the game on their international debuts  Richards is a brilliant prospect for his age, physically immense but as he can play in midfield he is comfortable on the ball too. He is probably the best header of a ball i've ever seen at that age as well, he is easily City's biggest threat from set pieces now.

proven in Russia is different to proven in a major league though, the quality has risen in recent years but it still falls behind the top 3 or 4 leagues. Sheva was a gamble when he joined Milan but obviously that worked out fine  i remember a few failures though, Rebrov was expected to be world class (some even thought he was the better half of the Kiev strikeforce  ) but at Spurs he totally failed. Personally i reckon Kerzhakov will do well though, from what i've seen of him he should work well in a partnership with Kanoute (who i cannot believe is Primera top scorer :dielaugh: )

We are considering Alex Pato, right?
']We are considering Alex Pato, right?
yes, we are, but it is something for the summer...
My team in IIS Pro contains Buffon, Alaves, Alex (PSV), Barusso, Ronaldinho, Di Natale & Tevez. Milan app have Barusso, and IMO R10, Alaves, Alex & Buffon are realistic signings. Offload cafu, Favalli, Dida, Fiori, Billy, Brocchi, Borreillo. Perfect
Why offload Brocchi. I don't understand some of the comments about Brocchi. All the guy has done is perform better then any midfielder this year apart from Kaka. Why sell him?....just because his name doesn't hit the headlines or isn't a star? He played great this year and he was also one of the best in Fiorentina last year. He should definatly stay......if anything, out of the midfielders it should be Ambro leaving.
And for Dida, I would keep the guy. He is one of the best keepers in the world , and make a note that if we get rid of him we'll have to spend big to get one of his quality. At this point other positions are priority since we already have a great keeper in the side already, we just need to work out his contract.

most of those players you want to leave are back ups, we don't need stars to have them benched that's not healthy.
All your targets except maybe Ronaldhino (I do hope) seem pretty realistic but certanly not all of them together. Although we could use them all I don't see why we need to ofload some of the players you mentioned

ý think we have some problem in wings such as simic and kaladze r not world class player.there is no really world class right back except thuram.but we must buy young puyol.he will be a world class player in recent years.and at the left wing is kaladze is not enough.and paolo is getting older.and our playmakers r getting older.ý mean about rui costa and rivaldo.we must look d.cisse and van der vaart and fernando torres.ý heard he keen on us.
and he have no a right wing.noone compare figo in this team in right wing.ý think we must buy joaquin fernandez.
and a playmaker named d'allessandro.
juve is interestered in him.they r exchanging him with fool salas.they dun need salas.already they have di viao.
we have great strikers.sheva and pippo
jdt is not enough.he is a good player but he is not enough for the best team all around the world.
and ý heard oddo will join us in january and it would be awesome but he is old.ý dont know how old he is.but ým sure he is old.and ý think we must buy zambrotta with exchange with gattuso.and we have no player like viera.sell gattuso and laursen buy viera

I think that we should buy in January transfer window few players that, in my opinion will be capable to fight hard for the 4 th. position that leads us in CL. I agree with Galliani that we should follow Arsenal example and start buying young players like Grimi, Alexandre Pato, Fernando Torres, Caceres, Mouche, Diego, Kompany, Ceara, Sneijder and in combination with Kaka, Pirlo, Goucuff, Gatuso and Jankulovski, I'm sure that we can make next European champion. With this we can have double effect: get players that will be full of thirst for glory and titles and will spend less money than buying Ronaldinho or Ronaldo, whatever (both play in poor form for 12-18 months).
I would like to hear other fans opinion, because i am big supporter of the idea that Milan should base the team/game on young talents.

------------------------------------------------------
well it seems riquelme is finished at villareal...
why he must leave?
-hated by all spanish clubs due to reaching the semi finals of champions league
-critised by his trainer and by there board.
==> must leave
==> who wants em? : boca, America, Monterry and bayer muchen
==>price? +- 10mil €

Pajo,
I think that at least 5 of this players Milan is capable to sign: A.Pato, Huntelar (already receiving offers), Diego (we can try to sign him, why not), Daniel Alves (ready for leaving Sevilla), Alex and Cris (for the last two we were in hunt 4 them, not so long ago) and at least 3 of the GK's. Why not try? We have excellent transfer gurus (Galliani, Braida and Leonardo), remember?
Yeah, you could...
However, Dioego is still not ready to leave Bremen.. Dani Alves won't come, coz you just got Oddo, remeber? Who will be on the bench?

Lol, Diego overrated?? Man, have you seen him playing? I'm watching Bundesliga mainly to watch him, his dribbles, his shoots, passes...
I believe he is one of the best 5 young midfielders in the world...
And will become the best, coz is not so exelled, he does not play in world class team... If someone like Milan or Inter, or whatever buy him, then he might flop... However, if he stays in Bremen, he'll become class!
I think some of the defenders we should be aiming at are:
LB's:
Zambrotta, Abidal, Moretti, Taiwo
CB's:
Perea, Milito, Alexsis, Mexes, Heinze, Mertesacker
RB's
Reveillere, Ilsinho, Rafinha
I don't think any of these are fantasy signings, we are capable of getting any one of them. Naturally if circumstances changed (such as Morinho leaving Chelsea) i would try for a bigger name player like Terry or Carvalho.

:p286: Guys, I already have a good understanding of who Milan will almost certainly get, they are a)Heinze (95% sure) especially since Ferguson wants to get rid of him, Pato(80% sure) because they gave a very generous offer for him, one Internacional probably won't reject in the summer market, and lastly, Ronaldinho (65-70%) sure because he hasn't signed his barca contract, and they offered a lot for him and he hasn't clearly stated yet that its a definite no to Milan, so let's hope. And then we'd surely be unstoppable, even without shevchenko.

Oh, I see ... I guess I got lost in ... abbreviation :v46: :D
I saw an article on goal.com about Mascherano going to Liverpool and how they can switch to a 3-4-3 formation, it was an interesting read. This made me think that it could easily be transferred to our team, the main idea is that the third cb is actually the defensive midfielder, in the article's case Mascherano (who has played cb in Argentina) and in our case Gattuso.
This would be ideal for Gattuso, his main role would therefore just be staying back and covering the defence, plus he'd be more central in position rather than being chucked out on the right. I think it would be a greater use of his obvious talents, i.e. stamina & bullish tackling.
The full-backs play as wide men when going forward and move into a more midfield position, Pirlo would not need to have as many defensive duties, Kaka could come a bit deeper or stay in his natural position. I think it has many benefits.
So with a bit of fantasy thrown in, i think we could line up like this: Option 1.
--------------------Buffon----------------------
-------------Nesta---------Terry----------------
-------------------Gattuso----------------------
---Oddo----Lampard-------Pirlo--------Abidal----
---------------------Kaka-----------------------
-----------Ronaldo---------Ronaldinho-----------
Option 2.
--------------------Buffon----------------------
-------------Nesta---------Terry----------------
-------------------Gattuso----------------------
---Oddo------Kaka----------Pirlo--------Abidal---
---Rossina----------Ronaldo---------Ronaldinho---
So something like one of those two options. Naturally i'm not saying we'd buy all those players, but with the right choices we could have a much better platform when attacking. When defending the full-backs would obviously drop back to make a 4 at the back.
Not bad eh?
So with a bit of fantasy thrown in, i think we could line up like this: Option 1.
--------------------Buffon----------------------
-------------Nesta---------Terry----------------
-------------------Gattuso----------------------
---Oddo----Lampard-------Pirlo--------Abidal----

-----------Ronaldo---------Ronaldinho-----------
The only change you made in both your options is basically changed positions with Pirlo and Gattuso. Any fullbacks will still have to track back if needed and can attack if able, doesn't really matter where you put them in a arbitrary formation.
--------------------Dida------------------------
-------------Nesta---------Maldini--------------
-------------------Gattuso----------------------
---Oddo----Seedorf-------Pirlo------Jankulovski--
---------------------Kaka-----------------------
-----------Ronaldo---------Gilardino-------------
With todays players, as I said, just changed the roles of Pirlo and Gattuso.

I agree with Cris. We've employed this style of playing for some time now whenever we play attacking backs on both sides of the defence, like Cafu/Oddo and Janku/Sergio at RB and LB respectively.
Only dif is, as kris mentioned, the position of Pirlo and Gattuso.
Also, I am not sure that Gattuso is ideal for a position right in front of the CD as he tends to tackle a bit too recklessly/emotionally and this would lead to many dangerous freekicks against Milan. I think that a player like Diarra, who is still tough but more composed and restrained in his emotions, not to mention with better vision in play build-up, would be ideal for this role ... same goes for players like Makelele, Mascherano, Vieira, Emerson, etc.
One other thing, I don't think Abidal could be used as a Left wingback since he is pretty tall and muscular, heavy-set for a footballer. These are not characteristics that would allow him to constantly run up and down the whole left side from defense to attack. he is indeed pretty good going forward but at lyon or French NT he does that only occasionally as his role is that of a LB, whose primary role is defensive cover and attcks only the circumstances allow him to ... and even then, you will see him stop near the center line or a little farther than that but won't go as far as the PA territory of the opposing team.
For the role of a wingback, one needs slimmer and lighter players like Mancini, Cafu, Serginho, Cicinho, etc, etc.
It's basically the same reason why long-distance runners are slim, while short-distance sprinters are strong and muscular with the built of bodybuilders - muscles are the heaviest and most dense tissue in our body. At short distances being more muscular may benefit you as it gives more speed, more burts and reactivity, but over longer distances it will wear you down rather quickly.

In some respects it is, but not all. You have to remember that there are still 4 defenders at the back when defending, it's when attacking it goes to a 3-4-3. The third defensive spot is filled by a defensive midfielder and not another CB. In a 3-5-2 you would probably have 3 CBs and a defensive holding midfielder in the middle, though i guess equally that middle man could be pushed forward, but that's just splitting hairs. The point being by having a defensive midfielder instead of a third CB you free up a space in the team.
While the holding midfielder does need some ability, the fact is that he doesn't need a vast amount as that's not his job. He's not there to spray the ball around, just make short passes. The other midfielders and forwards are there to come deep if need be, it's not like there will be a huge 60 yard gap between Gattuso and the other players up the pitch meaning he'll have to play majestic long/through balls all the time.
I also disagree that Abidal couldn't cope there, i think he'd fit in fine. The times i've seen him for Lyon he's always motoring forward on overlapping runs with Malouda and alot of the time he can be found in the opposition's half. Plus i put him there for his physique, he needs to be powerful like a Zambrotta, Taiwo or Eboue. Those players are fine running up and down all day and you wouldn't say any of them are the 'thinner/slimline' type of wingback. All they need is good stamina and some ability to get forward, Abidal has both of these.
There's a difference between having attacking full-backs and how you play them. Just because we have them doesn't mean there always effective. I think this system would improve their effectiveness.

without Pirlo there, who is going to play up the ball to them?

My favorite system is the 4-4-2 and i was thinking whow will this work...........
-------------------------Buffon-----------------------------
Alves-----------Nesta----------Albiol----------------Abidal--
Kaka--------------Gattuso-----Pirlo---------------Ronaldinho-
--------------------Villa--------Ronaldo---------------------
Well i like this system, and i know that kaka and ronaldinho will not help us in defence so i've got two strong full backs Alves and Abidal which they would run very much and help the team.
I also think that if kaka and ronaldinho as ML and MR doesn't works good then i can change it to 3-5-2 with alves and abidal as wing backs and Kaka and ronaldinho as AML and AMR.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I would love to see that team and one of this two systems but only if i've got two strong full backs like alves and abidal, otherwise no!With them i can feel very relax in every game for my defence.
without Pirlo there, who is going to play up the ball to them?
But Pirlo will be there, he'll be in midfield. I don't really see the problem you're trying to highlight.
rosoneri_11 i think Albiol is a good defender also, in fact it was probably him i was thinking of and not Moretti. I know one of them got some really good reviews in the first half of the season, i just don't know for sure which one it was :D
The only thing with your formation (for me at least) is Kaka being stuck out on the right, naturally players can swap positions and drift around, but we all know Kaka himself likes having the freedom to move and likes running behind 2 forwards in a more central position. It's a good 11 though.

Albiol is a great player. He is 18-20 years old and he is parten with Ayala in center defence. He will learn a lot of things from Ayala + he has great abilities,he would be a great defender.I have watched him and i can say you that he is like Nesta,he is tall and very strong, and he is very very fast with great pace.I think the combination of great defender+he is very fast=The ideal defender.
As for the kaka's position i puted him there because he plays the same role at brazil team with ronaldinho at left.I know he can play better as an ACM(i think)but whoes gona play MR?Gattuso's natural position is DMC and not RM, on the other hand Pirlo can't play there,so whoes next?Only kaka(no comment for seedorf).
--------------------------------------------------------------------
And something else. When that kid gourcuff will start to earn, and play game with us and in few time to become a key player for us?Know he is playing becose we had seedorf(because carlo believe he is better),and if we sign ronaldinho when he will play?Only if we will use ronaldinho as a striker and gourcuff in seedorf's position.

The problem imho is that many clubs (Chelsea for example) buy players for the wrong reason and then are forced to change their formation to accomodate the additional players. Chelsea are doing ok with a 4-4-2 formation but were better with a 4-3-3 formation.
In theory a coach should choose his formation and buy players that suit the formation, not buy players and change the formation to suit them.
If Ronaldinho ever arrived then I wouldn't be surprised to see the 4-3-2-1 xmas tree being implemented, whether Kaka liked it or not.
I'm sure coach Dunga would love to have Kaka and Ronaldinho in the same team, but imho do we really need Kaka and Ronaldinho in the same team? (don't all jump down my throat at once)
Ronaldinho has the flair but Kaka is far more consistent imho
Personally, I think we lack width and real speed on the wings and I would prefer a 4-4-2 with Kaka higher up the field:
-------------------------Buffon-----------------------------
Cicinho-----------Nesta----------Cris--------------Zambrotta
C.Ronaldo--------------Gattuso-----Pirlo---------------Mancini?
------------------Kaka------------------------------------
----------------------------Ronaldo---------------------
Left side of midfield isn't all that clear for me.
Just my opinion
Cris isn't better than Kaladze IMO. Roque Jnr Mark II. Swap C onaldo with Mancini as Mancini is RW.

hey guys i have read that juninho might leave lyon...is there any chance he can fit in our team? try him alongside kaka and gorcuff? but it could be a 50/50 move considring his age but if we can get him and play him for a season or two wudnt be bad......plus he is one of my fav players.. :5ok:
Yeah, Juninio would be a supper addition to our team, but IMO he is unlikely to come to Milan!
My dream is that Milan buy Ronaldinho, Gerrard, Deco, Zambrotta plus Buffon.

well, let's try and estimate :D :
Dinho - ~70 mil euros, at least
Rosicky - ~15-20mil
Zambrotta+Mexes - ~25 mil
Alves - ~20-25 mil (with Real M and Barca in the mix and Sevilla saying his price is around 30 mil)
Buffon - ~30-40 mil
Diarra - ~15-20mil
Mancini - ~15-20mil
for a grand total of ... some 300 mil euros ... not bad Jim ... do you have any other wishes? :D

anybody got 300 million euros lying around? :D
Nope, no other wishes right now Zlat ... though if i was being serious i'd have put it in another thread :D
But with a bit of tinkering i think we could get this:
----Ronaldo----Huntelaar-------
------------Kaka-------------
--Rosicky----Pirlo----Gattuso-----
Zambrotta--Mexes--Nesta--Alves
------------Boruc----------------
Subs: Dida, Bonera, Oddo, Ambrosini, Gourcuff, Mancini, Gilardino
Boruc - Kalac + £5 million
Zambrotta - £6 million
Mexes+Mancini - £25 million
Alves - £15 million
Rosicky - Seedorf + £12 million .... ( Arsenal need some experienced players :D )
Huntelaar - £12 million
Grand total £75 million. Given that Berlusconi would pay a bit of this and then the club still should have about £15 million left from the Shevchenko transfer. I don't think this sum is too far beyond the realms of possibility :D
Few days ago i read somewhere that Sevilla will sell Alves only if a club will pay them over 20 Mil i think it was 25 milion euros exactly , also Huntelaar's prize is over 20 mil .
Hi! every one..I think, we should buy Frank Ribery.. because our attacking too much using in centre, we need a fly wing with a god run with ball..opponent have notice how milan play.. than our wing not much in attacking, like Cafu..its take a lot time when we being attack. For defender we should buy Alex (on loan by PSV)..he's play like Stam and still young..I also heard Chealsea also chase him, why not we fight ti get him?
Dont buy ronaldinho...he now a days really wasting player!!

As far we talk about transfers C. Ronaldo signed new deal with Manchester Un.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: “It is fantastic news, it emphasises the point that Cristiano is happy here and that he is at the right club.
"He has a great relationship with the team, staff and the fans and he will go on to be one of Manchester United’s great players.”
Cristiano added: “I am delighted. I spoke with Sir Alex and David Gill about my future and everyone knew that I wanted to stay.

For next tranfer window(in June), i think Milan should buy center back. As you all know, our Maldini will retire soon and other Milan back four are old. So, Chivu(AS Roma), John Heitinga(Ajax), Barzagli&Zaccardo(Palermo), and Kompany(HSV) will be the good options for us. Also for the attacker, i think Milan should buy 1 or 2 players because i think Oliveira is not good enough to wear No.7 Milan shirt. So, Ronaldinho(Barcelona), Didier Drogba(Chelsea), Torres(Atletico Madrid), and David Villa(Valencia) are the attackers that i want to see in San Siro next season. The last thing is, our goalkeeper also not very good at this season. Dida is not playing well recently. We need to buy a new goal keeper such as Ricardo(Sporting Lisbon), Victor Valdes(Barcelona), Petr Cech(Chelsea), and Mickael Landreau(France).

because hes lazy.
His work ethic sucks. He has all the talent in the world, but will not put in the effort needed to become a star.
And after 2 years he still hasnt learned german. I would NEVER want to see him in Milan. and yes I am persian.

We need to buy a new goal keeper such as Ricardo(Sporting Lisbon), Victor Valdes(Barcelona), Petr Cech(Chelsea), and Mickael Landreau(France).
Cristian Chivu & Andrea Barzagli is really good center back. But i don't think that we must too worried about this sector in the next season. We still have Daniele Bonera & Alessandro Nesta, with Dario Simic & Kakha Kaladze in the bench.
About the forward, i disagrre with you about Fernando Torres & David Villa. We all knew that Spaniard is verry difficult to success outside their countries. But i agree with you in Ronaldinho. It will be great if Milan can take him to San Siro next season.
For the goalkeeper, i hope Milan can buy Gianluigi Buffon. Ricardo isn't better than Dida. Victor Valdes make's too many mistake in Barcelona this season. Petr Cech?? I'am not sure that Chelsea will realese him. Mickael Landreau?? He's unproven to play in higher level. If Milan can't take Buffon, it will be better if they keep Dida as their number one goalkeeper.
For next tranfer window(in June), i think Milan should buy center back. As you all know, our Maldini will retire soon and other Milan back four are old.
I don't understand why people think our starting defence (Maldini aside) is old, they're no older than many other clubs around Europe. Oddo, Nesta & Jankulovski are all 30/31. Man Utd have Neville, Heinze and i think Ferdinand & Silvestre aren't alot younger. Barca have Puyol, Zambrotta, Thuram, Ooijer, Marquez who are all around the 30 mark, likewise with Madrid who have Carlos, Heguerra & Cannavaro.
I think a few people who don't support Milan need to double check how old their own players are first before commenting on ours.

Personally I think this team is in desperate need of a CB more than any other position. I'm not exactly sold on Bonera being an every game starter. Maldini may retire and he might not - but if he does, there's a strong possibility that he becomes injured sometime during the season. As great of a player as he is, his body seems to be breaking down and we can't trust him to hold up for an entire season. He'll retire eventually which is why we need to address the position now.
I want Barzagli. He's relatively young and shows much promise. Plus if Maldini returns, Barzagli can be coached everyday from the greatest defender ever. To me this would be an INCREDIBLE pick up for Milan.
In addition, I'd love to have Zambrotta at LB. His desire to play for Milan has already been communicated and we all know what a tremendous talent he is. Janku is very good too, but I prefer him slotting in at either side of the full back positions - giving a rest to Oddo and Zambrotta when necessary. Zambrotta and Barzagli would give us a starting defense of Oddo, Nesta, Barzagli and Zambrotta - all of which are world champions.
And finally - I want Ronaldinho!!!!!! Think about how deadly our attack would be with with the Brazilian trio of Kaka, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Does anyone remember that game against Sienna? Kaka and Oliviera and Ronaldo were all feeding off each to great effect. Slot in Ronaldinho in place of Ricardo and Milan will be the highest scoring team in Europe next season. The Brazilians know each other very well and that's why Ronaldinho will be even better in a Milan jersey than anywhere else.
The best players in the world are Brazilian and Italian - Milan is the great connection of that talent!!!!!
Buffon would only be icing on the cake - I personally still believe in Dida. Take Buffon if he's available, but if not, Dida is more than capable of being our starter.
So here would be my hope after the offseason. I don't think there are any Impossibilities on this list (like Totti or Cristiano Ronaldo etc):
----------------------------Dida---------------------------
Oddo------------Nesta-------------Barzagli--------Zambrotta
----------Gattuso----------Pirlo-----------Seedorf------------

we always loose time in negotiations and talking about stars that are hard to sign cause they are so expensive.if we sign one of them means that our ideas to renew other positions are ended.there are some players that are tallent and look needing a chance to be from top stars.one of them is the sengal player mamado nianang (the striker of marsille).i saw him alot last season and this one.he is a great player (fast, strong, tallent, play with both legs,.....).so why not getting him to milan?i think he will be about 10-12 million euros for max .also we will not have a race with other clubs and raising in price for him.also i can name another name for a subistute for kaka.he is cani(the mid field player of villareal.he is spain 26 years old.i saw him alot he acts similar to kaka.he makes killing passes for forwards.also he get riquelme to the bench.villareal is one of small clubs .we can get him for about 8-10 million euros.may be on of both players get his contract ended by this season or have a condition to transfer for an exact cash.anyone knows more about both players?

Milan look to PSV ace Alex
Friday 11 May, 2007
Champions League finalists Milan are preparing to strengthen their ageing defence with PSV Eindhoven stopper Alex.
The 23-year-old, who has impressed in this season’s European competition, is liked by Coach Carlo Ancelotti and club scouts.
However, they are set to face some competition for the Brazilian whose contractual situation is a little unclear.
Although he finds himself in Holland, Alex seems to be actually owned by Chelsea who couldn’t take him to Stamford Bridge because of work permit problems.
Now stories in the peninsula claim that the London club are willing to let him join the Italian giants, but only if Kakha Kaladze [pictured] is included in the deal.
The Georgian was on the verge of a Chelsea move two years ago, but no fee could be agreed and he signed a new Rossoneri contract instead.
Even though Milan want Alex, Vice-President Adriano Galliani has insisted that Kaladze will be going nowhere.
“Kaladze, like all of the other Rossoneri key players, is absolutely untransferable and not for sale,” said the official.
“We have confirmed all our champions for next season and we are not willing to start any negotiations about moves.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think we should buy Alex as replace for Maldini, For midfield i think Ronaldinho is too expensive because for 100 million euros we can buy 3 world class players. And for attack i think Etoo is good player but he is too expensive......60 million WTF.
