well one thing is for sure, Sheva will go when he's loan expire, because already there is thinking that he can not be old sheva. Inzaghi more often than not found himself on injury list, Club can not rely on him, so it mean they only have 2 striker's pato/boriello. Milan has tough season ahead, to win serie A and may be Uefa cup, they need to strength their squad, Podolsky would be very good choice, he can play deep and on the wing as well... although not very sure buyren would let him go!

Zhirkov is a marvellous attacking LB, but much like Jankulovski he has limited defensive capabilities - basically because both are essentially wingers! So would we feel safe with him in a spot previously occupied by Maldini? He would be an upgrade over our current LBs, though.

Do you think Schweinsteiger would leave Bayern to sit on our bench? I don't think it's feasible to get him with Kaká, Ronaldinho, Seedorf and (presumably) Gourcuff in the squad.

Ditto Huntelaar - if we're playing most of the time with just one striker then having Pato, Borriello, Sheva and Huntelaar in the squad isn't reasonable (IMO). And that's presuming Pippo retires...

As much as I admire Pirlo, I think he's a bit of a tactical obstacle. Considering his quality, class and status he'll play almost all matches when fit (at least that's how it's been under Carletto). But every time Pirlo is in the line-up he's has to be flanked by two defensive midfielder. Thus there's only room for three attacking players. Next season those three spots will probably be divided amongst Kaká, Dinho, Seedorf, Gourcuff, Borriello, Pato and Sheva - seven big names. Ideally we should have four spots for them.

I really think this is our last opportunity to sell seedorf, gattuso and emerson. they have given us a lot and cotributed much towards our successes but its time to move on and make way for the nest generation. gattuso cant contribute for too much longer and soon we'll have to keep him till the end of his career and pay him and play him and deny others opportunity. same for seedorf. he's too slow now and gourcuff is ready to take his place. cigarini is pirlo replacement and velosso can sub pirlo and replace emerson. both veloso and cigarini(especially) can be creative and can run our midfield for years to come. one of zhirkov, bale and rafinha fills up the void created by maldini although they arent as defensively sound. but if we can get good service from them it should more than make up for it. viudez and cardaccio on loan to gain experience although cardaccio can stay and play all our cup games instead. paloschi replaces inzaghi, rossi replaces sheva. santacrocce and mexes replace kaladze and maldini and nesta in the future. abate brings speed when necessary.

All in all, he is like Mascherano with better on-ball skills. Can dribble and is good passing the ball. Also likes to go foward and put himself in scoring position. Shooting from outside the box isnt a strength, but he is improving and isnt afraid to test the GK.

Fanstasy signing for me would be a decent Centre Back. Why haven't we acquired one already in this transfer window? If I was to choose one position where we would get a world-class player, it would be in the heart of defense. If everything stays the same, we walk into the season with a questionable defense, just like the past two-three years..... Mbokani has all the right skills but way to inconsistent.

I agree that Jovanovic isn't good enough for milan I never stated he was...

Balaban wasn't a beast at all in belgium, he was forced to leave Brugge. According my sources he scored 40 goals but that isn't really that important.
He went to the EPL with high espectations as a top talent and joined a mediocre team. I was pretty obvious why he failed in EPL.

Since he didn't work for the team. Doesn't defend, is selfish, lazy during training etc, in other words he has a extremly bad attitude

When he played in belgium he was extremly controversial becoz of his lazyness but he used his experience, gained in the EPL and his incredible freekicks and selfishnice to score so many goals.

Our former prime minster, Jean-Luc Dehaene, a huge Brugge fan said a nice quote about Balaban that pretty much sums it up.

Well, I've heard that Robinho doesn't want to back to England. Olympique Marseille is the club which is - reportedly - interested in Brazilian. He has got great potential, but he didn't managed in Premier League. I know - spanish La Liga would be better than Serie A, but he is a little bit like Ronaldinho. realistic version with minimum investment and use of youth players. filipe (deportivo la coruna) and mantovani the only real transfers, all other are primavera players or the return of loan players. filipe transfer is payed with huntelaar money and savings in wages. mantovani should be cheap anyway. i think 3 primavera players are the maximum that should be promoted because otherwise we would be to inexpirienced. we must not forget that apart from strasser they all need to shape up physically. di gennaro, paloschi and mantovani at least have some serie a experience which should help. realistic goal for this team is probably third or fourth place in serie a, no european ambition possible.

Hi folks, newish to the forum (I used to be a member 1999-2001 as milan_maniac) but not a new milan fan by any stretch of the imagination.

Here is my transfer campaign for this summer. I know everyone has an opinion and a dream. I've decided to base my campaign on the most realistic scenario possible using the most realistic figures for prices possible.

Assuming Milan has 15m Euro ask a transfer kitty at the moment here is who I would sell to gain some more funds(in Euros):

Thiago Silva 35m
Huntelaar 15m
Gattuso 5m
Kaladze 3m
Oddo 2m

Sub Total = 60m
Current funds = 15m
Total = 75m

Here is who I would bring in and how much I think they would cost:

ST- Dzeko - 30m
RB - van der Wiel - 20m
DM - Lassana Diarra - 15m
CB - Bonucci -15m
CB - Gallas - Free Transfer

Total = 80m

The club would have to provide an extra 5m but I think they can find it ;)

Transfer option 2:

Everything the same as above except instead of getting Dzeko for a hefty 30m we could get Robinho for 15m or Pedro Leon for 10m. In this case I would move pato to Striker and play Robinho or Leon as the RW. We'd save 15m on Robinho or 20m on Leon at which point they could save it or invest that in a new GK which I think should be Marchetti or Mannone of Arsenal. THEN, we could sell Storari. By not getting Dzeko Milan could actually strengthen an additional position while even being able to put some money in the bank or investing in another youth player.

I think it would be a fantastic team. A great defence with Bonucci coming in for Nesta for half the games in Serie A and 1/3 games in CL. I actually like my transfer option 2 because it allows for more flexibility but Dzeko is pretty good so I thought I'd give him preference although I think Pato is better in the middle. Having an attacking trident of Ronnie-Pato-Robinho/Leon would be a fast and devastating attack.

well ozil better when he is on the flangs, arshavin had poor season, barca will not sell D.Alves, other player are realistic (include ozil) but together worth too much. but i agree with you about formation, i think Ronaldinho should play in middle attack because he is not fast enough to be winger, and pato should be Forward because it his natural position, not a winger

I would love to see Fernando Torres in a Milan jersey....we could bid for Torres with a Huntelaar + cash deal since Liverpool would need to replace him with a reliable striker and with Kuyt and Babel already at Liverpool, they may be delighted to have the Hunter. Not to mention that Hiddink is being linked to the Reds as coach.

Anyway, if Torres is unaffordable and we are going to stick with Borriello and Hunter (which btw I have no problem with), the Ronaldinho and Pato need backups. My nominations would be Antonio Di Natale (33 so should come cheaper than some of the other players out there) and Balotelli (a little more expensive but can't be that expensive given all the problems he has created for Inter). I think with Mario the problem may be Moratti's unwillingness to sell his crown jewel to his arch-rivals. I think he still remembers Pirlo and Seedorf.

My GK; Realistic one, Rene Adler or Neuer would be nice pick for my team. Both goalie proved their value...

My first pick would be Adler...

Then right wing back; Ramos would be awesome...

in CB's, David Luiz would be my choice, Silva and Luiz are nice pair...

Regarding Left wing back, Coentraro is nice player for this spot, i'd take him with my eyes closed...

Regarding midfield trio; Essien is my first pick here, then Xavi is great passer, after him i'd take Sneijder...

in attack; Robinho, ibra and Pato trio is great as they just need some depth, Suarez,Dzeko and Villa is more than enough for here...
