Wow. Care to back that up? Others are crap? Care to explain why even though they are putting in consistently great performances? Zambrotta did not have a good season though... but that is because he did not fit in Barcelona's style.

Others are crap? Yes that's an intellectual argument if I ever seen one.

Well, I wont judge him only from 1 match, thats why I am waiting for his next games with Germany.

I really have big hope from Gomez.
Right. I'm simply going to have to agree to disagree on this matter. I think Gomez is the right choice for Milan as far as forwards are concerned.

Seriously, if you have a better idea maybe you should say it.

Milan haven't even got to the one or two big name signings they will be doing this transfer season.
I only dont agree about the 'fantastic' word for player like Boriello especially Abbiati and more especially Antonini.

Boriello in not yet fantastic player. He only scored many goals only this year in a small club in which the attention of the passes concentrated on him. There were many examples kind of this player who could score tons of goals with small club.

Abbiati? He is not suitable to be the number 1 in Milan team as he never showed in games that he is really the right person for Milan first GK. He even couldnt be vice Buffon in national team.

Antonini? Who is this guy? What he brings for Milan? Only 7-8 years with unknown clubs and tons of unknown clubs that he has already played for? He is so far away (if not indefinite distance) from fantastic player.

Edit :

But I still believe that Milan will buy either Ronaldinho or Drogba (or other world class player like Eto'o).

Wow. You literally have zero justification for about anything you have said. If Borriello he would have the ability to fit in and score too. I'm sure plenty of goals for Milan. Borriello also has a better positional sense than say Gilardino.

Abbiati is a pretty good goalkeeper who makes a lot of fine saves.. and has sharp reactions.

Antonini is a former youth player. Oh yeah, using your rather broken logic, Gattuso was a bad acquirement because he came from Salernitana.

Do you even know what you're talking about? Antonini has the experience to play in Milan. It took him time and I can honestly say he played well enough to be considered a place in the national team in the future. I can't believe you would even bash on this guy... maybe you should bash on Gattuso because we bought him from a small team that now sits in the Serie C.

And then you have the audacity to say we should buy Ronaldinho who is in AWFUL FORM. Seriously.

i dont want to back up because probably i would use other people's reasons here who oppose about their comings to tell you again why they are craps.

if we put ourselves as big clubs like barce, real, manu, we must act like one. look, barca sold zambro to get alves, real consistently wants cr7 after they got the new roberto carlos, marcelo. what did we do? we got antonini (who is he btw?) when ppl here say we need proven players (in small teams?), boriello (who failed us) back, and abbiati (???)..

dont use the reason the summer mercarto has just begun, so just wait and see; because other clubs are doing at the moment too.

if we can't buy a player because of his price tag, at least express the willing to buy him, as some ppl here think we deserve to be arrogant )

As much as I'd like to argue all day with people on here... money doesn't buy greatness. Ask Barcelona that one. They spent so much money and they have little to show for it. What buys greatness is teamwork and strength.

You in other words can't support the fact that the other four players (other than Flamini) are crap... because they ARE NOT. Borriello is a late bloomer just like Luca Toni.

And You don't even know who Antonini is yet you're gonna call him crap.

Yes that's classy. REALLY CLASSY. Milan got on the transfer season faster than anyone else and is spending the way they should be.

Now I'm off. In the mean time, learn a few things about logic. And stop being ignorant. Gattuso came from a small team. Many of our other stars came from small teams at one point...

So your point?

He did look like a less talented Vincenzo Iaquinta.
That's the first time i watch him (not counting highlights) and i can't form a final opinion about him but what i saw was a strong and tall fighter out there rather than a profilic striker.

Buffon said that Milan never came looking for him so it's hard to know what happened and what didn't happen.

Edit: Loool, 4 people talked about Gomez and all of us rate him differently

Guys we shouldn't argue about the quality of our new players yet. Give them a chance if they $uck then we can bash the management and those players but I believe we have to give them a chance first. Who of our current team was an established player when they came to us? Only one Nesta, the rest were pretty unproven or players that failed with inter and were pretty much giftwrapped given to us. We should all hope Antonini and Borriello can become the next great players but we should give them a chance.

Wow! So many posts.

Amelia: If he was really really great, then there should be a big club going after him. Where he ends up? Not Barca, not Man U etc. but Palermo. Don't tell me Palermo is a big club. All in all, Amelia has to prove himself MORE before he can play at Milan. Ok, I didn' see him play before, but the fact that he ended up at Palermo tells me something.

Gomez and the game: Com'on; it's Poland and they played horribly. I Don' think it's fair to judge anyone to nicely or negatively from that game. For instance, you can't say Boruc is crap; both goals are not his faults, and he put in a decent performance.

@Tony29: That's why I come up with a list of which source to believe and which not.

@Giancarlo: I appreciate you using logics and ideas, but I have to respectufully disagre with you that Borriello and Abbiati are great purchases (i..e, FLamini and Zambro Ia gree they are good purchase, esp. the former).

The reasons is simple. Regarding Borreillo:

1) I don't know if he is a late bloomer or he just gets lucky because there are fewer defenders around him. Playing for Milan vs. Playing for GEnoa is two different matters. GIlardino is a prime example.

2) Not sure how Carlo fits him into the system. Don't see a lot of difference between Gilardino and Borreillo, and if that's the case, and Carlo failed to use Gilardino probably (with proper crosses etc.), I don't see how Borreillo will be as prolific as last year. It will be interesting to see how DOnadoni used him.

Of course, if he turned out to be the next Toni, perfect.

3) Abbiati? No never the sense of security, and he did refuse to playfor Milan and go for Torino and A. Madrid. He could have stayed but I can also understand why not. I haven'jt seen him play, so let's just hope that he'll deliver.

4) Antonini: Trust me, Ancelotti is not going to use him all of a sudden. He's more likely be a backup. He is not in the starting XI.

side note: don't feel penalized / personally attacked by some posters here. Some times it's best to ignore if someone's opinion differs from yours.

Cheers! - j

Short Term

Been a while but I have been reading all the time !!

To start, I would say it is always the best time when we prepare for the season ... TRANSFERS.

Some things I have in mind:

We have always been focusing on short time.. we are not a club like MAN U , Liverpool or even Barca ( with all due respect). We dont buy someone like CR7 and wait for him two to three years to shine unless we had a great deals like Kaka.. Pato but never a very famous name. We buy winners.. already established players that first of all... FIT INTO OUR SYSTEM & most Importantly the FAMILY environment we have ( thats why we never bought cassano...etc ... Major reason for that.. we dont buy players and say in 5 years we will win champions league.. we do it saying we will win it now .. unfortunately cant happen this year

second thing: there must always be a compromise.. buying players that are mature & can serve us for 3 or 4 years while having the best financial books is just amazing. From what i can see, we are the best well run club from a financial perspective and we keep our players happy ( by being a family & paying good salaries).. a recent example.. Kaka, Gattuso & Carlo turned down all the big money offers compared to CR7 who is not answering the coach's phonecall ( I wont start talking here about sheva which is an exception).

We bought Rui Costa & Inzaghi for high prices.. but it does not mean they were on top of their game when we bought them ( cant remember exactly... maybe someone would know more)... the only exception we have done was Nesta .. simply because we were looking for a Maldini's heir for relatively a bargain ( 30 M over three years.. not sure).

All what i am saying is that I have enough trust in Milan that we will rise again.. it is just a setback that we will overcome... talk all what you want about the quality of the players we bought... but 100 % that some of them will rise to the occassion and some don't.. thats always the case.

I 100% agree that we need more players specially in central defense and in attacking midfielder.. I can settle with our attacks now having Pato.. borriello & inzaghi even if R9 wont came back.. since we dont always play with two attackers.

Thats my two cents
