Totally agree. This coach does not sound like he knows what he's doing.
We had an extra day to rest up and train, and whilst merda's players, tired as they may be, route Bari, we manage to lose another 2 points in the Capital.

We are definitely NOT on the right path, far from it.
We could have and should have won here, and with the right lineup of available players we had today, we probably should have won big too. I wonder what the heck he's been smoking.

Our team is totally ready, our coach is definitely NOT

Too early to jump on Allegri but at this level (Milan, big team, etc.) it is right to be criticized. We don't have shape and too dependent on some players being awake. He needs a plan to fix the mid right now. Until Rino, Pirlo, Ambro, even Flamini and KPB are here 3 mid is impossible and today it was even less shape half way 4-4-2 or something.

Well, I wouldn't say that he (or rather his body) handled them very well mate. I didn't exactly count it but I did see him several times walked out visibly in pain (the most famous one when he cried and Rijkaard sympathetically patted him). He had had his share in thigh/harmstring (the most often ones) and metatarsal injuries. It wasn't until these past 2-3 years when he's in 20s did he look to be fully grown up.

That and the reason that Merkel is playing on the most intense sector of the field that makes me think it won't be wise to rush him to senior team. Besides, didn't Allegri himself earlier this season said that first Merkel's body hasn't fully developed yet?

And back to the game, what I really don't understand is why Allegri played his only box-to-box midfielder (who's been pretty succesful at it too) out of his position. While we weren't exactly ran over in midfield compared to the game against Cesena, I think Hernanes wouldn't have waltzed through our mid that easily before setting up Lazio goal had KPB played in his usual position.

To me it's ridiculous messing up with the proven jigsaw puzzle (KPB in midfield) just to patch up another one upfront, especially when we have player like Robinho who's more suitable for that.

Ok Just watched the Game Taped..

In America, we have a saying recently:

The new boss is starting to look a lot like the old boss. This is referring to how Obama is the same as Bush.

This phrase can now be used on Allegri. Same static 4-3-3 with a slow midfield. Leo had an excuse at least because he had SH&T players. Allegri has more players to choose from and he's showing he's an idiot. I want to curse but I'm going to keep my cool. Here are some things to be taken from the match:

Positives:

*Ibra can single handedly score goals; thank g0d. His poor play in most of game was NOT his fault. It was this awful excuse of a midfield.

*Boateng again was beating guys, good crosses, fought like a dog. He got tired at the end of the game, as you could see.

* We have found out that ALLEGRI is a Moron and needs to be sacked because putting Robinho in the game at 88 minutes is INSULTING to everyone's intelligence.

Negatives:

* ALLEGRI ALLEGRI ALLEGRI: HE LOST THE GAME. What was:
Gattuso-Pirlo-Seedorf???? Is it not UNDERSTOOD by now that this MIDFIELD IS SLOW AND INEFFECTIVE??? When is Milan going to realize this? IN JANUARY? When we're in 10th place???? SACK THIS IDIOT.. If Milan Management is forcing Allegri to choose a certain lineup, then he should QUIT..because I would never put my name on something that is NOT MINE...YOUR NAME IS ON THE LINE ALLEGRI: GROW SOME BALL$....

* Nesta got BURNED by MAURI for the goal

* Ronaldinho needs to go to LA GALAXY: the fact he only fits in 4-3-3 is KILLING US. I'm sorry, LECCE game isn't enough to convince me he belongs on this team. There's a reason Barca sold him, and now I see it...

* I think Seedorf/Pirlo/Gattuso should ALL be sold. I'm sorry. Buy Poli, Jucilei/Ganso and a third midfielder. Just get these guys OUT OUT OUT...

This should have been the lineup, At least after we scored:

---Abate----Nesta---T. Silva----Zambrotta---
------------------Pirlo------------------------
--------Boateng-------Flamini---------------
-----------------Seedorf--------------------
-----------Robinho--Ibrahimovic------------

4-4-2 should have been installed IMMEDIATELY AFTER the goal..

Flamini IN Gattuso OUT
Robinho IN Ronaldinho OUT
Antonini IN Abate OUT

* Only other comment I want to make is that Hernanes was great. Creative, quick, good shot, good passer.. Excellent. Exactly what we needed.. Too bad he's with Lazio.. and we're stuck with 3 old slow idiots in midfield.

And we loose points again; dear god we were slow yesterday! + we dont play as a team, we wait for a moment of brilliance from zlatan or ronaldinho.

I'm starting to dislike allegri a bit more, its too early to judge him though, lets give him a little more time.

MILAN – Massimiliano Allegri was satisfied after his Milan team drew 1-1 against Lazio, emphasising, however, that the team still needs to improve.

’Obviously, we were hoping to win the match after taking the lead, I was hoping, too. Anyway, the players did their duty, as we conceded the equaliser playing in ten due to Abate’s injury, yet we came close to winning hitting the crossbar once and played well after their goal. All in all, I think the team did well. Maybe we could do better in attack, especially on the counter-attack, but nevertheless, we are on the right track.'

’I’m saying that we did well because my players were tactically disciplined and helped each other a lot on the field. We created five clear scoring chances and defended well at the same time, as we conceded the equaliser in numerical inferiority. I’m satisfied with what I saw. When we’ll have everyone back, and it will come soon, Milan will shine again.’

’Abate and Boateng not involved in the first half? Our left wing was more active in the first half, however, we played a lot on the right as well after the break. Anyway, I repeat I’m satisfied, because we did well.’

Until he realises that Gattusso and Seedorf (my god i have the most respect for Clarence) cannot play a full game I honestly believe that Rino should not play anymore for Milan , He cannot tackle pass shoot or head or dribble to even a mediocure level anymore.Seedorf should be an Impact player off the bench last 20 minutes or so.Zambro gives away the ball so much and gives away so many fouls in the second half.Pirlo used to be the best in the world at what he did , now he is only on the fringes of the game and takes way too much time to decide what to do and gives the ball away alot for him.

Abate at RB for me now we have no other real option and he is superior to Bonera , we need to move the ball forward quicker when Seedorf and Pirlo get the ball the take so looooooooooooooooong to pass shoot or do anything.I don't want to come across as bashing these guys I love them Milan legends but the are hindering our play now greatly , when Dinho can play with Pato or Robinho he plays faster aswell , and his 1 , 2 's and link play are second to none.I dont know what to say because we did sign players good players squad players and superstar players in the wrong positions yes but mgt cant be critisized for not spending. Is it Allegri maybe its early for him but with Inter picking up lots of points scoring freely we dont have another month to be in 10 games languishing in 10th place and 15 points off Inter.

We're jumping on Allegri too early.

He couldn't choose a better team because of state of some of his players. Flamini just came back from injury. Robinho is like heavy smoker who gets exhausted after a 10 meters sprint. He needs to get in shape. Ambrosini for all his effort is almost the same thing like Gattuso.

I'm sure Allegri has a plan B, and plan B is Robinho as AM in 4-3-1-2. I'm afraid Allegri won't get Ronaldinho and Pato to defend, and let's be real our 3 midfielder are not good enough to hold the line on their own, they were not good enough for that even in their prime. Even 5-6 years ago we were loosing matches because a lack of support from midfield to defense. When Inter defends, only Milito is staying up and Sneijder is closer to him, wingers are like side midfielders. They transform 4-2-1-3 into 4-4-1-1 when they're defending and we're staying in 4-3-3 all the time. Because they have Eto'o and Pandev and we have Ronaldinho and Pato.

Somebody has to inform Allegri that if you are the coach of Cagliari an away draw in Lazio and a draw vs Catania might be fine. When you are the coach of Milan, it's not. Especially when Inter is already 5 points away.
I am not the one to jump that early on Allegri but that's far from the right path my dear fellow milanisti. I aint saying the scudetto race is over, it's too early. But, so far, the sign on the wall says that we ll fight for a CL spot.
I hope he wakes up before its too late.

I mean, what kind of a freaking midfield was that? I was watching it with my friends and they were asking me why on earth is Gattuso a starter. I was just drinking my beer and shaking my head.

OK, maybe Merkel is too young, but Pato and his injuries are not the norm. He is a 21 year old professional footballer. His young age should be an injury-preventing factor, not an explanation.

Well, in the land where they play football on fluffy, cotton candy field that might be the norm, the injury-preventing factor, whatever, buddy. Whereas here and now, IMHO it's just some players could handle the physical pressure of pro football at tender age better than the others. Can he emulate Messi's progress, I certainly hope so; but up to this day it seems like he belongs to the latter kind of players.

I rest my case there mate, and respect yours. It's already 2 or 3 a bit OOT posts more than I'd like to write. *Sigh*

i don't disagree with Allegri about this match, it was a great improvement over Catania, at least the second half was at least.

The first half was very similar to our broken display against Catania, but more cautious. However, the second half was much better as we pressed higher and Pirlo and to a lesser extent Seedorf were also pushing up into areas behind Ibra. The problem was that after we scored we dropped off far too much and Lazio scored firstly due to Abate's injury and partly because Thiago didn't read the game too well.

We were weak when starting moves as we hold the ball extremely deep for ages before moving forward. This was due to our team not being compact and lacking movement, something which was much improved in the second half.

Certain individuals shouldn't play imo. Dinho is my biggest problem right now as he does nothing off the ball, and is getting predictable on it. Hopefully, with Flamini's return and Robinho's (should have been on sooner imo) improving fitness, we'll see a more dynamic midfield in the very near future.

Not a good result, but not one to be too disheartened about.

Yes Milan Management spent $ but then who's responsible for:

Seedorf-Pirlo-Gattuso.

WHO"S RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT?

ALLEGRI for not making better choices or GALLIANI AND BERLU FOR NOT BUYING NEW MIDFIELDERS???

Someone's responsible for that same midfield as last year. Yes they are Legends and I want to look back at them as Legends not guys who suck.

And why the 4-3-3. END THAT. Everyone says Plan B.... when's that coming? January?

Give him time with his 4-3-3 playing Boateng as a Winger and Ronaldinho standing around smiling, and Ibra as lone striker, and those 3 old slow pokes in midfield and this season will be FINISHED for us by October.

I agree, but actually, I notice that no matter who the coach is, after 4-5 games (sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less), each season, there are people hoping our coach will be sacked ...

Oh and we have the same kind of start as last year, so the race for the Scudetto is far to be over, of course. Even Roma could do it, like last year ...
