It is so true that we can not win anything with current team including Sheva, so let's have a fresh start next season with a new team to build a new era.
That's exactly the way I think: we must begin a new era.
there 's a small chance he can stay, but i don't want to fuel the hope of those who're praying for him to stay..let's say he's thinking about it very well, even better than before the last sunday.
anyway, 60 mill+ Gallas are NOT a joke. Drogba was priced 40 mill..shevchenko must be much more worthy than drogba...no excuses, in case sheva leaves we must rip off abramovich, we have a contract with sheva so if he wants him he must pay 70 mill. end of the story.
i agree, why are people here accepting these deals... in this case we are being ripped off... sheva is under milan contract, he can leave, but it should be on our own terms, and you dont get to sell many players like sheva everyday so why not make the most of it and Fcuk areound with the price.... i mean if chelsea want him really bad then prove it... if they cant give out the money then we keep sheva which i bet no one here minds.... besides didnt they offer 100m a year or 2 ago?? if they were ready to spend that much back then why not spend it right now.. n this case we are in control of this transfer, i dont understand why people here are accepting chelseas pathetic terms, why do they get to bitc around with gallas' price and crespos last year and we cant while offering our star player :v46:

16/05/2006 12:44 Mourinho Doubtful Over Shevchenko Capture Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has raised doubts over what seemed as an imminent signing on behalf of his club of AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko
“Milan are a powerful club, who don’t need to sell players to buy others. I cant say that Shevchenko doesn’t interest me, but to sign him wont be easy,” he told reporters in Lisbon today.
Yesterday, Chelsea general manager Peter Kenyon revealed the Blues had a 50-50 chance of signing the Ukraine star.
It appears Milan want 40 million Euros plus Gallas in exchange for their prized posession.
'The Special One' also revealed he is searching for a third keeper to add to his star-studded squad.
after all that rambling, i will say that i agree with what you're saying, but only from a rational, reasonable, objective point of view. but from the point of view of an emotional fan, it will always hurt to see one of our idols move away from us prematurely. and no matter how much money we get from the deal, i will probably still feel this way--the same way i felt when MVB ended his career with us before his time. oh well, such is life. But as you say, with or without sheva, MIlan will go on. FORZA MILAN!!
No doubt, it always hurts to see a player like Sheva or any player we love move on. Personally, I have been trying to prepare myself for more than a year now for Maldini's retirement, but I know that when that day comes I will cry like a baby. And it's even more difficult when a player we all love leaves for another club. But I do think it's best to try to look at it calmly and rationally. I personally prefer to remember Sheva just as he has been for the past seven years rather than create a bad taste in my mouth.
All that aside, the REAL reason i feel that a chelsea move would be a step down is because it is a club that lacks class, lacks integrity, and lacks humility.
Funny thing about Chelsea. They used to be a pretty classy club, I thought. Remember when Zola played for them? They were a breath of fresh air among the top clubs in England compared to the other smug clubs: Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal. They were a more pleasant team to watch in those days too. But ever since they won the lottery they've been acting like the spoiled rich kid who feels entitled to have everyone bow to them because of their daddy's money. :rocky:
Well, whatever happens, I just hope that in the long run it proves to be in Milan's best interests. I know whether Sheva leaves or not there will be a lot of changes over the next couple of summers and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. But I'm confident that we will continue to be among the top clubs in Europe and one of the most beautiful to watch. :respect:
just leave Sheva. We'll find someone else. Someone lk Adriano. I guess money does talk
WE could show some real power by signing Gallas form Chelsea and still keep Sheva. But looks like that will not be a case. 45mil + gallas is not such a gerat deal. Why cant we demant robben or essien or alex(psv) + gallas + money. I mean, Sheva is the best striker in the world, we can dictate the price.
exactly ... we set the rules, if they back off, we keep him, if they dont we make the best of it!

And if he wants to leave and they wont pay and then he doesn't want to play (whatta rhyme) I say he sits on the bench!!
no, he definatly starts, and he captains probably.. its a good excuse for him to tell his wife...
Lord_Tawreser
16-05-2006, 11:04
Why should he start? Gila Pippo Rui Costa can play two or three games in a row against weaker teams and he can go to London and be with his wife :)
I've waited a long time to say this :) And take Kaka with to do some shopping..
Rotation, rotation, rotation...
Sheva's matter never stop....
Today I read on www.acmilan.com that again Galliani given his statement that Sheva IS NOT FOR SALE.... Here is the quote given on May 16th :
GALLIANI: 'Sheva not for sale'
16/05/2006
ROME - 'Milan won't sell Sheva.' Adriano Galliani returned to the situation regarding Andriy Shevchenko and the Rossoneri chief executive added: 'Eventual negotiations will only take place if the player requests a transfer.' Galliani also repsonded to questions on whether Massimo Oddo would arrive at Milan. He said: 'Oddo is not up for sale.'
So......It is not definite yet that we won't be playing without Sheva next season....
Time will tell how it goes......
Maybe Sheva got a new wife ;) and thus doesn't have to follow Kirsten Pazik to London ????
rahul.acm
16-05-2006, 12:59
from what i see from these galliani statements is that he is just trying to increase sheva's sale price by telling the world how important he is for us.
btw sheva's wife is american then wtf is she doing in london? i heard she doesn't even model any more. what a pain

There seems to be something that a lot of people are missing: The impact that other transfers will have on Sheva´s possible departure:
A lot hinges on who Chelsea are after....but also where Henry ends up.
Any thougts on this?

if you are pro-Sheva, then you better hope that Arsenal wins tomorrow, so that Henry will stay, and Milan can't get Henry, and Sheva can't leave.
If you are a chelsea fan, then you better hope that Arsenal loses tomorrow, so that Henry will not stay, (and MIlan get Henry), so that Sheva will leave.

not really.. point one isnt neccessarily true, if sheva hands in a transfer request hes definatly gone, the club policy is that we wont keep anyone against his will... even if arsenal win and henry decides to stay with them sheva would leave making it harder for us to find a replacement given that henry can be bought at a good price

True, in that case Milan is, unforutnately, quite screwed unless we can find a replacement at least on par with Shevchenko.

I dont know how many people out there support both Milan and Chelsea. One way or other, if Milan sold him to Chelsea, I don't see Milan fans will like Chelsea very much in the NEAR future.

there arent many and those who are would cost alot more than henry
I don't see Milan fans or other clubs' fans like Chelsea even before the Sheva rumor.
I am OK with Sheva leaving even if we could not secure any additional good striker. If we get Gallas, Robben and money to buy another defender and another midfielder I am done with 1 striker/X-tree system in which both Inzaghi and Gila is good.
I pretty sure that in time Sheva will regret leaving Milan if his wife is the core push. Sheva can easily get a beautiful Italian wife, may be even Italian miss, but not a second club like Milan. May be next year he will ask Chelsea to transfer to the US because his wife wants to settle there.

Sheva will regret being told to move and he probably knows it too.
Everyone sooner or later face these kind of decisions in life. I had to make one too. My boss, a very wise person of course, told me that if I leave I won't be able to hide contempt due to disappointment caused by being forced to move to another undesired place of work. Everything worked out for me, I moved elsewhere and have been lucky to do so. However, should I have not listen to the advice or should I have moved to the "wrong" place I would have likely to be disappointed in many respects. To make long story short: if Sheva moves to London, very likely his will not find himself again and will be in contempt with the spouse. It is not just my story, it is a never ending story of many lives I guess.

According to Billy, it doesn't sound like Sheva wants to leave at all:
"Billy Costacurta spoke about Andriy Shevchenko: 'Andriy was very moved in the dressing room on Sunday, he had a pretty heavy heart but we told what he had said to the press, that nothing was settled yet.'"

Couldnt have said it better myself. Completely agree with you, my friend. I had much more respect (and admiration) for the Chelsea teams under Ranieri, Vialli, and Gullit, although they won nothing. But after Kenyon and Mourinho, no matter how many trophies they win, i have nothing but contempt for the club and the way it's run. But as you say, Milan will always be Milan, and we will continue challenging and playing the beautiful football we are known for.

Our AC Milan is way down beyond any players, we must ALWAYS remember that.
Can you not find a good shopping street in Milan for Kristen ?
If Sheva leaves, it is a very sad day for me however, to be very honest from the bottom of my heart if we use that move effectively my hope for us to win something next year is bigger than that now.
I love the player but for me it is the club first so we must move on, we are a club of class. I opt for Sheva going.
Alright guys. I felt the need 2 start tis thread cos i tink we do have mixed feelings about Sheva's departure. Well, he is not getting any younger & now would b a gd time 2 cash in on him. On the other hand, he is a Milan legend. Times have changed. I guess our true legend will always be Paolo Maldini.
Anyway, we have 2 accept tat Sheva is leaving. In my opinion, i feel tat Milan shld sign Adriano. Inter have just confirmed Mancini as their coach. Adriano & Mancini can't stand each other. Now would b a gd time 2 sign him. I see a bright future for him at Milan. Henry is a world class player but he is ard the same age as Sheva. Besides, he wasn't fantastic at Juventus. I guess some players r nt made 4 the italian league.
E'too wants 2 leave Barca bcos of the constant racist chants. Let's b honest. Italy r nt short of their own racists. He does nt react too well 2 racist chants. He actually walked out during a match bcos of the racist chants.
In my opinion, Adriano is the best replacement for Shevchenko.
there are many threads about this, merge anyone?
Sorry, no offence to you Ashwin, but i had to bite at this.
1. As mk said, there are enough threads about this topic, no need for a new one.
2. Learn to speak/write properly. Dropping letters out of words makes you look foolish.
3. Your comment about Henry not succeeding in Italy is exactly the uniformed & uneducated argument that i hate. I have explained my reasons for this many times, but here's a recap. You can't compare a young naive WINGER who played about a dozen games in his first experience of Italian football, to a World Class STRIKER who scores goals for fun.

Sheva out – Ibra in?
Wednesday 17 May, 2006
Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could replace Andriy Shevchenko at Milan next season, his agent has confirmed.
“A move to Milan would be a solution welcomed by the player,” Mino Raiola told the Guerin Sportivo magazine.
Ibrahimovic could be one of many players to leave the Old Lady at the end of the season given the club’s uncertain future.
Although he was in talks with the Bianconeri over a new contract, the alleged match-fixing scandal has led the whole club’s board of directors to resign.
And with the outfit possibly facing demotion to Serie B if found guilty of sporting fraud, the Swede is assessing his options.
“Under normal circumstances, Juventus would never sell Zlatan and Zlatan would never leave,” Raiola added.
“But now we need to see how events unfold so that we can get a clearer understanding of what could happen.
“We obviously can’t talk about a contract extension at this moment in time,” continued the representative.
“It is my hope that we can prolong the agreement as it would signify that all of the problems are over, but before then Juventus still have to decide who will now run the club.”
However, the agent did open the door to a San Siro switch if the former Ajax man had to pack his bags.
“I have excellent relations with the Turin club and there are only a few sides in Italy who could buy him if they were forced into a sale,” he added.
“Milan are certainly a team who can permit themselves a player of his quality, especially if Andriy Shevchenko leaves.”

Ahh yes, ancelotti...didnt you know we are the AC Milan "Golden Age Home" for older footballers? Oh yes, this is how we do...
Now, back to the Sheva issue:
I have been in his position before, and though I try not to regret my actions in the past, I too have been forced by a spouse to change countries..and as such career paths...suffice it to say, that I am back in Jamaica, and wish that I had never left.
Such luxuries are not afforded to footballers, who sledom return to their former clubs, unless to play one final season before they retire...and if Sheva leaves for Chelsea, he wont be back, thats for sure.
So, I can understand his dilemma, but I hope he makes the best decision for himself (first and foremost) then his family...because if he isnt happy, then neither will his family...if he is happy, and his wife is unhappy, then the marriage will still suffer...but to ask her to wait for a few years, I dont think is too much to ask...but I didnt marry an Americal model...er...eh?...Oh!...ok well yes I did, but she wasnt working in Italy!! :D

Adriano, Eto'o, Henry
Tevez, Torres
David Villa, Fred, Crespo, Ronaldo, Rood Van Nisterloy
Who'd I forget?

signing that SOB Ibrahimovic will be a big big risk! I think in pro football, there is nobody who is as hot tempered as him. but we all know why he is called the gangsta ballerina. not sure if carlo can manage him.
------------------
i think he is the first player from jubentus to come out and ask for a transfer before they get kicked into serie b
Yes Ibrahimovic is a great alternative!!! Oh... wait a second, how many goals did he score this season?? 7?8?
I just can't believe the nonsense I hear here...
I have three:
Etoo, Etoo and Etoo :respect:
Either Imbramavich will become one of the greatest striker around orhe just wont score any goals. But we cant afford to take a chance on him, not if he is going to be Sheva's replacement.
Ahh yes, ancelotti...didnt you know we are the AC Milan "Golden Age Home" for older footballers? Oh yes, this is how we do...
Yeah we may be an elderly home, but are still to tight to at least bring in Maradona or Beckenbaur. :nasty: Instead we have to settle for the likes of Favalli.

but how many did he score last season? ... and we all know he can create his own goals, whats more is that his characteristics are matched by few, he is tall but he has alot of tricks up his sleeve for example... and didnt kaka have a bad season last year?? .. but to be honest i think i prefer adriano or henry, but it also depends at the price, if juve relegate then he would come cheap while adriano would cost a fortune

Etoo did today what Henry couldnt do and Sheva coudnt do in 240 minutes of football. Thats score a goal in the CL final, even though he was marked by a fantastic Toure and Eboue who will be the best right sided defender in the world very soon.
Bring Etoo to Milan whether or not Sheva leaves.

true, but let's not forget that Henry played in a team which had 10 men on the field for 70+min and he lacked the necessary support. he did have a chance or two and missed them but so did Eto'o - he scored one of many opportunities Barca created for him. I personally would be happy with either of the two - one is older and gives short term solutions but would be cheaper, the other is a long term solution up front but would cost considerably more than the other.
I agree with you on Eboue - this guy will soon be one of the top players in his position. he is one to be considered seriously but ...
True, Henry did play well and it is a bit harsh, but at the end of the day goals are what count for strikers and Etoo got his. I think Etoos age is the reason why we should go and get him. If Barca want to risk losing him by signing Henry they obviously think Henry is better. So maybe the price difference wont be as much we think. The truth is players like them dont come around that often so we should snap them up no matter the price.

I think the goal was regular. Didn't watch a replay showing the position of each player on one line but never looked suspicious to me and none of the commentators mentioned anything about even a posibility for an offside, so I think it was a "good" goal altogether.

I think that Etoo would be the better buy..simply because he is younger. The ref spoiled the game by sending off Lehmann..that was stupid..but I guess he had blown his whistle..but he should have waved play on, then give Lehmann a yellow for the foul, and allow the goal.
Thus, he ruined what could have been a classic...and as most pundits will tell you, being down to 10 men vs Barca is like climbing Mt Everest in sneakers and a tank top.
It also made comparisons of Henry and Etoo difficult, as Henry was never going to get the type of service he needs, again with decreasing frequency..so to me, its apples and oranges...but I agree..bring in Etoo even if Sheva stays...!

he was not offside, i checked carefully during the game
i agre wit ya bhav, i tink tery enry wul be gr8 4 da club ... 4za milan :D
I think it was pretty much even from both players, both created chances for themselves, both were able to beat players, both have an eye for goal ... It's true Henry should have scored one of his two one on ones, however if his team had 11 men he may have had more strength for the second shot and probably would have scored.
I do think Etoo drifted in and out of the match alot, he didn't do much for periods in the game. But again, you can't judge a player solely on one match and for me maybe the only real difference between them is age.
i liked henry more today, but etoo was the driving force behind barca (even tough my MoM would be larsson) .. he showed heart and determination when others like ronaldinho and deco were busy diving instead... henry also was class and i wouldnt mind him at all
Comparing 2 football players isn't as easy as looking at an apple and pineapple.
If we are going to look for Sheva's replacement then we must sign Henry cause he is exactly doing what so far Sheva's doing in Milan....not merely just a pure striker like Pippo and in this case....Eto'o
What Henry does on the pitch is also like a playmaker and also "provider" for passes for the pure striker...
What Eto'o does so far is somewhat like Pippo, Gila, Toni, Crespo who just be in front and wait for a beautiful pass to score....
So...the argumentation is what do we need now...??
If Sheva leave and we want exactly a player him then Henry would be good not to say that Eto'o isn't good at all... considering the role of the player that we need.
If Sheva stay..then Eto'o would be much better than bringing in Henry to Milanello....
The real "problem" now is that Sheva still not sure will be leaving...and another case as what we read on newspaper that besides Juve....Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina are also possible to be relegated to Serie B or even C1 ???? When will this be "CLEAR" ..????? UEFA's deadline for teams to go for CL is 6 of July 2006...a long and winding road to go and wait.......

I agree with this. And although I haven't seen him linked with us, but instead with Chelsea, Carlos Tevez would also be such a player.
how on earth are we going to get Eto'o? he's completely untransferable.
Barca are amazing right now, they have an almost complete squad with hardly anyone being to old. They are set for the next 4 years. Eto'o is one of the best strikers in the world, playing for one of the best teams in the world. He looks happy as can be, why would be want to leave? why would barca want to sell him?
I just don't understand this rumour. Sheva may go because he has been here 7 seasons and wants a change, we may sell because he is 30 now. There are not very good reasons for him to leave and there are more why he should stay and we should not sell, but at least there are reasons. There are no reasons why Eto'o would leave Barca.
that said, hell yeah, if we can get him, get him.
Why hasn't anyone mentioned Adriano? He is powerful, skillful & fast. Besides, Inter don't know how 2 play him. Surely we can afford him. Besides, i tink tat he'll b cheaper since he hasn't been playing regularly after their UCL exit.

Ashwin, put yourself in Adrianos position: maybe Juve get relegated and maybe Sheva leaves in which case he might just want to stay at Inter and win them a scudetto?
Maybe Eto'o is untransferable..
And after the final Henry might want to stay at Arsenal, he was completely disgusted with the ref and Barca. The Eto'o goal was offside. I'm not saying Barca aren't a great team, they are, they do play the 'prettiest' football, but.... I would want to stay now.
I'll just have to see the refs at teh world cup if my faith in football is to be restored, and maybe a proper replay of the Eto'o goal one more time, if every tv network didn't burn the tapes already.

Even if juve is relegated or sheva leaving Milan..Inter still have a team name MIlan to beat.
The chances of him winning a scudetto is higher if he comes to AC Milan....unless he get satisfied winning tim cup and italian cup year in and out.
Back to topic.... to me, henry playing style is more familiar to sheva compared to Eto. Henry is a better replacement.
Some of the posters here are saying that Eto is much younger than Henry and he got more years ahead of him. But guys pls remember this is Milan, we tend to have policy of getting 'older players'. We just sign another oldies named Favalli :irritate:
Maybe we should sign sheringham ot replace sheva.

There is no sub for Sheva!
The prime transfer target of the club in the next week should be Henry (he said he'll deciede on his future before the World cup). If we sign him at keep Sheva we are at high gain, and if we sign him and not keep Sheva we are still pretty much nowhere.
If we don't get him and we loose Sheva we are in... deep!
Only saying whuts already been said....
..... some possible Sheva replacements that have been mentioned so far.....
Adriano, Eto'o, Henry
Tevez, Torres
David Villa, Fred, Crespo, Ronaldo, Rood Van Nisterloy
Zlatan, Adriano of Sevilla

Well... all want is a fast decision.
We should ask Sheva what does he want right now and let him decide so we can work on bringing Henry. We dont have much time for mercato. Henry is BETTER player than Eto'o, he needs to do it all by himself in Arsenal. He has no Ronaldinho,Messi,Deco to give him passes for 1 on 1. HEnry is 28, and he still has 4 seasons of world class football. He can replace Sheva, only he. So, mr. Shevchenko, we have given you our hearts, and a bunch of money. Abramovic is offering more money, what will you choose?? I wish I can tell sheva this, only once so I can see his face after this question.

Galliani is working with Henry agents and Eto'os ones since a couple of months..do you believe our management will wait for Sheva to let them know and then start to find a replacement? I'm rather sure we have contacts with these two players since a couple of months..Eto'o came to Milan for Albertini's memorial and they talked about his situation (it was middle April)

Ricardo Luiz Pozzi Rodrigues is a 30 year old midfielder who now plays for the Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. For my money, he's one of the most inteligent midfielders of today's football, and also one of the most versatile too: he can both help the retaguard and serve the forwards of great assistances and long passes. You can compare him with the likes of Pirlo, Juninho Pernambucano and Diarra, for instance.

Well GRE-NO-LI, I just heard some disconcerning news on the World Soccer Daily show on Sirius Satellite Radio. The host Steven Cohen (if you have Fox Soccer Channel, he also hosts Fox Football Friday) a big Chelsea fan who has some access to the inside of the team, mentioned that Sheva will sign on next weekend, around the 27th. Dig this...the fee is somewhere around 30-35 mil plus Crespo. :d55:
Cohen is a pretty reliable source, if you have an iPod you can download the 5/16/06 show off of iTunes and hear the bad news yourself.
I don't know what to say...gutted is putting it mildly. If what Cohen's saying is true, we are getting ripped off in a big way. Galliani has to get one of their talented wingers (Robben) in the deal as well. Anyway, I've also heard from the show that adidas, who will be supplying Chelsea's shirts next season, had a hand in this debacle in addition to Sheva's wife and of course that a$$hole Abramabitch as well. Perhaps adidas added some cash to Milan's coffers to make the transfer a little easier, maybe?
Who knows, but at least we got this $hit out of our hair so we can get on with it as soon as possible.
..and oh by the way it looks like Thierry Henry will be staying at Arsenal so we can cross off his name as a possible replacement. RVN, perhaps? Samuel Eto'o?
Let's move forward ladies and gents! Let's drain our heads of this Sheva saga and discuss the alternatives out there.

no henry no sheva no gallas and only crespo! we are in wonderland
Well, I don't know if I would believe this source. I happened to think that Cohen just favors English football so much, he wants ot make it look like everyone else in the world is sh!t but England. He doesn't look at things realistically but only how he wants to see them and that is to favor the side that he supports. I personally can't stand the guy. Plus that.....where the hel! did he find this news. It might be true that he has some inside thoughts but plenty of other reporters do as well, so I doubt that if this deal is settled it would FIRST be announced by an unknown Cohen. I can buy the news that Sheva will sign for Chelsea, but I can't buy the bullsh!t that it will only be 35 million and an out of favour old Crespo. I am thinking more of a 40 mil plus Gallas maybe?? Anyway, it just makes no sence that Milan will give up Sheva for a ridicilus 30 + Crespo. That would be plain stupid.
As for Favalli, I believe he was brought in to replace Jankulovski. I don't have any sources or anything, but it only makes sense for it to be like that. Janku has been associated with Roma and I think he will go. If not him, maybe Serginho. I just don't see a way of us keeping all 3 of them, Jankulovski, Serginho and Favalli.

Milan are not a team that keeps players against their will and we will always be like this. Sheva wants to leave for some reason that I cannot understand. Why can't his wife move to Milan? If the ex-president of Italy is the god father of your son, im pretty sure you wont feel disappointed at all in living in Italy. Damn her.
Anyway, after all these petitions, I dont think it has affected Sheva whatsoever. All reports are pointing into a Sheva sale next week. Some links say Crespo will be coming, some say Gallas+Drogba. Really, if they give us the whole Chelsea team, they can never replace our beloved Sheva. Galliani and co have one of the hardest jobs ever right now, trying to find someone to replace Sheva.
Here's an optimistic note although it is nothing really. Remember last year, by this time, our future captain was Rino Gattuso. During the summer transfer window, all he thought of was leaving Milan to Man Utd. Then he changed his mind. Right now, Sheva is our future captain. Lets see how it goes, i'll keep my fingers crossed.

You are right. To be hoenst if Shevchenko wants to leave, then there is NO REASON why Milan should keep him. even if he is Pele, Ronaldinho or Maradona.
In my honest and humble and unbiased opinion, Sheva's decision is actually quite stupid. If because of Jordan that he wants to play in England, then I must say he is a good father, but the cost is much larger than the reward. I started learning English as a second language and I absolutely have no problem in terms of communication. To be honest, "family issue" is just a better word for him to say, "I don't want to play for Milan anymore".
Guys, please wake up. Even the best idol in the world has decided to leave the team. If he left, I wished him good luck in wherever he ends up at, but leaving at this moment of the time when he just reached his prime to join a team that, sadly, has not yet proven themselves in the Champion League is a sheer mystery.
What's the lesson? You never let your emotion rule your head, because 90% of the time your emotions is wrong. Sheva, put on your thinking hat.
I am not too sure about the Sheva contract with Milan, but if there is a buy out clause that allow the player all the initiative to pay a fix fee and be free, that would allow Sheva to move one with his will. Perhaps this clause was set when we bought Sheva in @ 24 M (a price for a good but not very famous like Sheva now) then this buy out fee would well be around 30-35M. This is the only possibility that Sheva can leaave Milan w/o Milan content.
I can accept Gallas + Robben + GBP 35M, however Crespo + 30M is real robbery. Galliani is usually smarter than that, what is wrong with him now?
I think Gila is developing in a good all-around player. I would not bring Crespo.

However you rated Crespo badly, he scored 2 goals for Milan in the CL final and 2 goals against Manchester United last year. He had done an amazing job at Milan last year.
Sorry, but it's the goals that count. I thought that's why Inzaghi got called up to the national squad.
p.s.: Of course, saying that he is the replacement for Sheva is a joke.

But guys, let's be fair with Galliani and Braida. They never ask Sheva to leave in order to exchange Gallas and $$$. It's Sheva who wants to leave. If you want to blame, blame Sheva, not the management.
Let's move forward ladies and gents! Let's drain our heads of this Sheva saga and discuss the alternatives out there.
I agree. However God-like Sheva is in Milan, I don't see Milan crumbling down after he departed (if that's the case).
Hey, people say Milan would go down down down down down after Istanbul. And now?
Perhaps, we may see a change in formation/strucutre of the team after Sheva left. I'm sure Ancelotti is smart enough to come up with new tactics and strategies that improve Milan.
I think Gila is developing in a good all-around player. I would not bring Crespo.

you are right! my friends and i all agreed on one thing, gilardino did everything right except to put the ball in the net aginst barca. as long as he get the kind of confidence sheva has, i am sure he will be the next great player for milan.
When the heck is sheva leaving? i hope he is going soon. Get all the money we can for him and then start searching for a good striker. i don't think we need somebody as good as sheva, i can accept less. Without sheva, we have an excuse to revert to the christmas formation. It might be a blessing in disguise. use the money to beef up our defense and add 1 more good MF and we are good to rock Europe and Italy. Am i the only one who is more concern about who are we going to add to our defense and MF than the attack?
Because Jeff they're giving him the green light to go. And for almost nothing in exchange considering the considerable talents of one Andriy Shevchenko. Like the man said, we let Sheva go, and it looks more likely it may happen, we have to fricking bleed Chelsea down as much as possible. Demand more than just Crespo. I want Gallas and Robben plus up the fee to 50 million minimum. And no questions asked, thank you very much. Or else we walk. :nana:
And btw, I don't blame Sheva at all. Like I said before I'm very thankful for what he has given over the years. But there are forces of pure evil that are just pressurizing the poor man. Can you imagine the owner of a football club slamming a wedge between you and the woman you pledged your life to, "until death do us part"? I don't know how the Abramavich family can sleep at night, manipulating Kristen P. and forcing Sheva to decide between Chelsea or Milan. This whole thing is just sleazy to the core. $hit, I understand football is a business and we see big-name transfers every year, it's a fact of life...but this is just totally beyond anything honorable or just or ethical. No doubt about it, "Money can't buy you love of happiness", Exhibit #1, the Sheva transfer saga.
Ok, I'm done with this. What's for breakfast? :hangover:

i might be greedy here but i would prefer getting one more RB since cafu is no spring chicken and he can get injured. i am also thinking of one more solid CB. pls hope we don't get Chris, he seem very overated, i much rather we get other players.
Diarra would be a diffcult signing.
pires is gone to villareal
Sorry, it looks likely Diarra is going to Man U...:yuck:
And Pires is already on his way to Villarreal, whateva...
So what's next? It looks like Gallas is done and dusted (good), Oddo may be on his way (good), RVN is out on the market, I say we make an approach. He is quality, folks. And if we're successful in getting him, look what we may have for an attack: RVN, Pippo, Gila, Amoroso, and Crespo. Not bad, we have quality in numbers here but we have to then invest in some attacking wingers. All of these strikers with the exception of Amoroso are out-and-out predators.
hwmook!
1 more RB is good to get, but even w/o that we have several alternatives already as Maldini, Costacurta, Gallas can play RB and Left while Maldini, Costacurta, Gallas, Kala, Serginho, Janku can play LB. As for CD we have Nesta, Maldini, Costacurta, Kala, Gallas so we are well covered.
I believe we need a little more in the midfield so that we can change our play systems. I don't really see a need for striker to replace Sheva, we can put in more attacking just at the midfield.
I can't see what RVN would bring to our club that isn't already here. If Shevchenko does leave the only 2 similar alternatives are Henry & Etoo as already been discussed. Now that Henry has/is signing a new contract with Arsenal, that leaves us with just Etoo. The only way we'd get him is if he says he's had enough with life in Spain, but i can't see that happening.
We need to convince Shevchenko to stay and try to find a complimentary pacy forward to go alongside him. As much as i like Crespo, he'd surely be a step backwards.
Remember Andrei, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
henry deciding to stay at arsenal is a problem for me, this means that if sheva leaves we cant get him or etoo, at this stage i wouldnt mind grabbing zlatan from juve, hes a good player he just had a bad year like kaka did last season, if we can get adriano then go for it but i doubt it, RVN is the last resort for me, hes too similar to the players we have and this also refers to crespo, another good choice is to go for suazo or tavanno or vucinic and RVN/crespo and have this attack: gila, pippo, tavano/suazo/vucinic and RVN/crespo
i like the idea that if sheva is gone, we do not need to find his replacement, we should sign a second striker type, a creator, like totti or tevez. i think to field 2 pure strikers in the same field is not effective and put too much pressure on 4 midfielders to deliver services to the strikers, if the midfield does not play well, basically we play as if we were ten men because the strikers are often isolated.
Well, Jeff, if Sheva leaves us, the board will have the DUTY to bring us a top class replacement, I guess no one here will contest that. And Goose has pointed out correctly: they also have the DUTY of "fricking bleed Chelsea down as much as possible". 30-35 M + plus Crespo for Sheva is an unbelivably RIDICULOUS deal, I cannot even think about that without getting on the verge of a fatal heart attack! :irritate: :irritate: :irritate:
You are absolutely right, but whethere there are such a world-class striker available at the moment is another story.
You mean, you don't want Berlusconi to try luring Henry and his girlfriend by inviting them over to Italy for dinner, like the way he did it, right? ;)
Henry is staying at Arsenal, it means Eto'o is staying in Barca. No good..... Our only real hope is that Sheva will stay, but chances are 10%. He simply went for the money, no discussion there.
Crespo to replace Shevchenko??? buahaha - are you kididng me?! No way Crespo can do it. He is finished player, he cant create, move like shevchenko. RVN cant do it also. Only Ibrahimovic can create from those players that are available. So my only hope now is Sheva to stay. Everyrthing else will be step backwards for our team. 35 mil + crespo is a HORRIBLE DEAL! crespo worths 5 mil most, and gallas has clause that ius 5 mil. pathetic deal from milan! pathetic if this is true.

This whole situation is going steadily from bad to terrible, and from terrible from disastrous... if Henry will really stay with the Gunners, it means that Eto'o will be also out of question... That state of things leaves us with the following perspective: Ibrahimovic or Torres, from what I conclude: GET TORRES!!!. He's young, fast and very skilled, and could mean the type of boost a side like us is in bad need; nevertheless, you simply CANNOT accept 35 M + Crespo for Sheva, but at least something like 50-60 M + Gallas, and then go to purchase Torres!
can someone please go toacmilan.com and translate the news for us. There is still no english translation. It seems Mourinho has said Sheva will stay with us.

Now that his wishes are being fulfilled (of an extension), ur saying its too much for 30 year old. You cannot clap with just one hand, mate If you want the player to respect the club, then the club has to respect the player. We know that sheva's decline will start in 3 years so he has to secure his fututre after those three years with a good club. Besides, we want him to be a milan legend right?

Milan are not a team that keeps players against their will and we will always be like this.
This is very easy to do when it is Brocchi or Dhorasso who want to go away.
But here we are talking about one of the best players in the world with nobody else on the market to replace him.
That's a little bit different :dcool:

However you rated Crespo badly, he scored 2 goals for Milan in the CL final and 2 goals against Manchester United last year. He had done an amazing job at Milan last year.
Sorry, but it's the goals that count. I thought that's why Inzaghi got called up to the national squad.
p.s.: Of course, saying that he is the replacement for Sheva is a joke.
I know...
Crespo has been good for us.
However, do not forget that he had tremendous assistance from Sheva and Kaka in those CL final goals. His understanding with Sheva was great.
If Sheva goes ... Crespo if he is brough back will need to understand Kaka and Gila. I think it might be possibly good. I take my words back.
If Sheva goes, if ..., bring in Crespo to play with Gila. And let Gila score an easy "lay-up" (PK?) in a CL match.

I never rated Crespo badly (I said "do not to bring him back" since we have 2 great forwards already). He is a good striker. I am sure we will notice him at the WC. Argentina has a good chance to get far!
BTW, how old is Crespo?

well, galliani braida and berlusconi have all said they will not sell him (which means alot when all 3 say so, atleast i think silvio said so but the other 2 definatly did), mourinho said its difficult to get sheva since hes under contract at milan and he said they want to keep drogba because he wants him, and eventhough theyre just words they certainly give a better hope of him staying. also, henry's desire to stay with arsenal and what his reasons for it might change sheva's thinking...
im not saying hes staying, but things do sound alot better for us, we almost guarenteed gallas, we might end up ripping them off by getting gallas and not handing them sheva, which i was hoping for when he made his announcement

Not many I would wager.
This is the dilemma we face when we try to bring in younger attacking players. Sheva and Pippo may be our starting forwards, with Gila spelling both...then Amoroso for back up....I think we are fine this way, unless Sheva does indeed depart..

If Sheva pens an extension, then it'll be clear to me that money was not a factor in his sudden desire to move to London. Increase his income from 5.2 mill to 6 mill is almost nothing from a certain point of view (not mine, unfortunately).
Then what is/was the point?
I am wondering if he is not just forcing Galliani & Braida to get more world class players (read defenders) to guarantee our sucess for the next campaings (specially UCL).
Maybe he realized that we could have a "season off" without great addictions to the roster and probably Mourinho & Abramovich offered him a major role in a team filled with stars, a second coming of the "Galáticos" with Lampard, Ballack, him, Drogba, Roberto Carlos, Tevez etc. A team which fate is not only to capture world attention but all the trophies available too.
Do not know. I am confused with this story...

Well, maybe to get around the confusion, you could forget for a moment about all those suspicions about money and what not and consider that maybe the reason for all these doubts of his is indeed family related.
There are some people here who constantly rely on some fishy "sources" of theirs and without much reason blame Sheva that he's a golddigger and is only after Roman's cash. Basic logic tells us that there's hardly another club that could give him substantially more money and fame than Milan. So, why not just for a moment stop with all those "theories" and accept that Sheva is a family man and like any man with half a brain between his ears, he should put his family first and above Milan and all the egoistic fans around ... funny, isn't it ... we blame Sheva for being egoistic as we assume that he chose money over Milan, but what if it's his family that he chose over Milan ... who's the egoist then?
Hardly 5% here are parents and have children, so one can't expect them to look at this whole story with maturity and fairness, as they'd rather site what some "close to Milan" sources said and keep their brains busy with conspiracy, double-agent theories.
But look at Crespo for instance - he's being paid big bucks by one of the top clubs right now, being successful, yet his eyes and mind are in direction Italy. Why? you think he doesn't like life in London? You think he's in love with Serie A? Pure BS ... it's because his family lives, or at least lived in Italy until the beginning of this season. So, why is it so difficult to believe that Sheva wants to save his marriage to an English-speaking woman and keep his wife and kid happy by moving to London? And what is he supposed to do, go to Tottenham or Fulham so that there aren't any suspicions that his main reason is money and those cited "family reasons" are just smokescrean for the folk. Of course he's gonna go with Chelski as this is the most promising club in the EPL and London at the moment. Will he get a lot of money in the process? yeah, he will but doesn't he already have that kind of money here as well?

The eventual permanence of Shevchenko is a very good thing, but I have to make a remark: I don't like at all that 'untouchable' talking... no one is irreplaceable, no one deserves to deemed as 'untouchable'.
There are 3 big issues :
01. Henri stays with Arsenal...he's really a big player with excellent attitude...loyalty to the team where he got his great career...
02. Sheva has a direct communication/discussion with Roman Abramovich....maybe a Russian Roulet game will be used to decide whether Sheva stay with Milan or join Chelsea..;)
03. The 3 teams related with Juve's Moggi disaster....Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina still not decided yet whether they are guilty or not. What will happen if Milan being punished to be relegated to Serie B..??
When will the decision be made for all this unfavorable issues on the relegation possibility??
I am sure that once a team being punished to be relegated to Serie B..then all the big names will go and find another club..
One thing is quite surprising that Capello has already extend his contract with Juve.. Is this a sign that again Juve still has the power to control the Italian Football industry??

I doubt that this is the case. I think Capello was just doing the right thing in what is a very difficult situation for Juve. I think he'll still leave if the club is relegated, and that his extension of his contract should be interpreted as a show of support for the Bianconeri, and nothing else.

Lets keep our fingers crossed. He seems genuine in his concerns about his family, and I can understand it if he wants to leave because of them. But I do hope the curva managed to convince him to stay.
I heard a rumour folks... I need someone to confirm. The rumour is that Sheva has been offered a new contract til 2011 where he will make 6 Million Euros per season. Please let this be true! Or am I smoking crack???
Anyone????
no your not smoking crack, its true and sheva said hell give his decision on thursday once he comes back from holiday
It's also rumoured we may go for Luca Toni now that Henry is staying. Inter are after Toni, although it seems their negotiations have stagnated a little, giving us an opportunity to dive in. Whether this is a replacement for Shevchenko or a replacement for Amorouso remains to be seen ... as does the reliability of this rumour.
I'm just glad that Sheva isn't going to keep us hanging on this one all summer. By this time next week, we'll know one way or the other. I hope he stays, but if he moves on, well, that's just the way of the world sometimes and we have to accept it.
One thing I've noticed is that when discussing possible replacements there are a lot of "no, not him!" comments and a lot of comparisons to Sheva. But something else we need to accept is that if Sheva leaves we won't have a replacement who can be compared to him. You can count on one hand the strikers who could be mentioned in the same breath as Sheva and since Henry is staying at Arsenal we're not getting any of them. We can't expect anyone else to live up to his quality. That's simply not fair. But it is also true that if Sheva leaves for Chelsea it could be an opportunity to strengthen the squad all the way around because Chelsea would almost certainly be sending at least one player and a huge amount of cash. So while the quality of our strikers won't be the same, the opportunity is there to greatly strengthen the defense and to bring in players who will help us in the future so that we do not fall victim to old age. I'm sure that Milan will find another outstanding striker if Sheva leaves. Great players will always want to wear the colors of the Rossoneri. But it will require time and patience.
A perfect summary Rick, well done :5ok:

That's what I was expecting from Shevchenko: a quick decision. Staying or not with us, he's behaving as a serious professional.
My "crazy" prediction is that Sheva will stay with Milan due to this factors :
1. Berlusconi will take back the President role of Milan. Sheva has a very close relationship with Berlusconi who is the Godfather of his son.
2. He shall follow Henry's decision to stay with Arsenal. Maybe ......just maybe....Sheva doesn't want to be regarded as not loyal to the club who make him a star.
3. If the reason is that he find too difficult to learn English.......what a shame.....If the cause is money..then he will get the same amount he shall be getting if moving to Chelsea...(if not bigger)
4. Sheva will miss the Curva Sud for the rest of his life if moving to Chelsea......no big Ultra's flags...no fireworks....etc..etc.... :3band: :3band: :3band: :3band:

source: Gazzetta Football Italia
Milan director general Ariedo Braida has told Chelsea that the club don't plan to sell Andriy Shevchenko.
The Ukrainian strike ace had admitted last week that he was contemplating a move to England, citing family reasons as his excuse. The Premiership champions have never hidden their admiration for Sheva and it is thought that owner Roman Abramovich has made several attempts to sign the 29-year-old.
According to Shevchenko's agent, Milan have been pushed out of the deal and they will be communicating only with Abramovich. "Shevchenko is dealing directly with Abramovich," Oscar Damiani told PA Sport.
However, the Rossoneri have had something to say about that. While most fans of Italian football are resigned to the fact that Sheva will be plying his trade in the Premiership next term, Braida stated: "The situation remains the same - Milan won't sell Shevchenko, we will never sell him." And President Silvio Berlusconi added: "It is our aim to keep him."
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho appears to have heeded those comments. Speaking at a Press conference today, the Blues boss said: "We would like to bring him, but he's a Milan player and he has a long-term contract with them. Milan have the power, and my feeling is that they don't want to sell and they will keep him. I like the player and I would like to have him - but a lot of clubs want Didier Drogba and they can't have him."
When will all this rubbish end?

today on al jazeera sport channel there was a round up program for 2005/2006 season.
cesare maldini said about sheva leaving.
kristen pazik(his wife ) is american girl and she wants her son to get an english education thats why sheva wants england.
maldini continued..milan dont let their great players easily..and said that if sheva leaves its hard to replace him.
I was just thinking about the 'family reasons' thing. Sheva's son's godfather is Berlu. Berlu payed for a life-saving suregery on Sheva's father. Milan and Berlu are like family to Sheva.
But I think now there is a chance that he will stay. I am resigned that he will leave, so if he stays it will be an extremely happy day for me.
What is this nonsense about wanting to learn english? you cant learn english in italy? especially considering the amount of money sheva earns, he can afford to put his son in any private english school in the country!! Actually, you know what? he can even afford to open up a private school, just for his son!!
i've said it before, i think this english-learning thing is crap. the real reason is probably life-style related. his wife would probably enjoy the glamour lifestyle of london more than milan ( i dont know, im just guessing). but what i dont understand is, with the amount of money sheva has, and his connections (with the ex-PM of italy and the richest man in the country for goodness sake!), why cant they just charter a private jet and fly to england whenever they want? With the resources at their disposal, why cant something be worked out?

I think it was all about the contract extension. Few hours before Henry announced his decision to extend his Arsenal stay, it appeared on acmilan.com/it that Sheva was offered a 2 year contract extension. This gives the hint that even we had considered selling him provided Henry would have joined us. Ahhh, in the end why couldn't our board just give him the extension rather than creating a turmoil amongst us fans.

:w155: Just got this from an article on theguardian (Click here for entire article) (http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1779369,00.html), taken from an interview with Pele:
He sounds more like Edson when he compares, with amused resignation, our gimmicky times with his own innocent playing days. "Today, when a guy scores at the Maracana he goes behind the goal and he's almost already on his phone, saying 'Mummy, I scored!' I think we had a stronger base, a stronger connection with people. And there was more respect for the game, because top footballers today don't have that connection. One season they play with one team and the next season they play with another team. They play more for money than love. I think for the fans it's very tough. There used to be a good relation between the star and the team but no more . . . I worry about this lack of loyalty."
How applicable is this to our current situation?
i dont think this applies to sheva's case, eventhough i believe anyone who would want to go to chelsea is after the money, but sheva has proved his loyalty and people have to accept the fact that he is not forced to stay at a club despite his history there...

(AC Milan - Shevchenko) - Paolo - Billy - Cafu.
2008
((AC Milan - Shevchenko) - Paolo - Billy - Cafu) - Pippo - (Kaka + Carlo [Who would leave us for a new challenge])
Ofcourse replacements will come in but none of them would be capable enough to fill up the spaces created by these people. Its the start of the downfall.

Chelsea And Milan In Shevchenko, Gallas Deal
Sport have reported Chelsea have agreed a four year deal worth just over £6 million per year with Shevchenko, and that only the final details remain to be sorted out with Milan.
The Rossoneri are happy with Gallas coming their way in exchange, but are keen to make a little more money off their star.
Chelsea have currently offered Euros 40 million along with the French international defender, and Milan are apparently looking to push that closer to 50, particularly given the fact that Chelsea are involved.
However, the deal is practically in place, minus the final details, and set be announced publicly tomorrow, as both Gallas and Shevchenko are keen to get it out of the way well before the World Cup.
Shevchenko himself assured yesterday in Moscow, during a promotional campaign, that he would end the uncertainty over his future by tomorrow, following a summit with Galliani.
If the reports are true, it would be the second major catch for Chelsea this summer, after snapping up German skipper earlier this month.
As for Gallas, Mourinho had been reluctant to let him go despite the Frenchman's will to leave, but the prospect of landing Sheva helped tip the scales. The Frenchman was also being chased by Barcelona, who have been relegated to mere spectators by the recent turn of events.

Why Sheva Leaving
rahul.acm
24-05-2006, 08:33
A run-in with AC Milan fans for Andriy Shevchenko's wife, Kristen, is being partly blamed for the striker considering leaving the club.
Shevchenko will make public tomorrow his decision over whether he will be leaving for Chelsea, while it's emerged today that wife Kristen was confronted by Milan fans earlier this year.
On a sunny Friday in late March, Kristen took their baby for a walk in a Milan park and soon came across a group of young Milan fans. The boys recognised her and made threats over rumours that Andriy was ready to quit the club.
Kristen immediately contacted Andriy, who was away with Milan preparing for a match against Lecce. He subsequently withdrew from the squad to be with his shaken wife and baby.

from acmilan.com/it
It was reported that gazzeta's reporters did some lip reading of Kristen while she was on her mobile phone. She said, "Andriy knows what he wants and this is his career, I do not enter there".

Drogba really can't sub Sheva....
Reports in Britain give the impression that he might stay. Anyone remember the Steven Gerrard debacle last year?
Plus, if he was definitely going, why would Galliani be continually spouting that he's hopeful Sheva will stay? Surely he's only opening himself up to looking foolish?
As for replacements, get real. Stop talking about Henry or Etoo; neither is leaving their present club. As for Ruud van Nistelrooy, he's rated somewhere beneath Louis Saha by Alex Ferguson, the most successful coach in British football history. Drogba's useless in the Premiership, which is really saying something when you consider his British-style physical presence. Sheva is simply irreplaceable.
I'm still hopeful.

The Blues have already expressed their keen desire to land the Ukrainian front man but Jose Mourinho admits that Milan hold all the cards.

Well, if Sheva was to continue with us, you can mark my words: the board will consider that everything is wonderful, and that any renovation is needed.
As much as I like Sheva, I believe at this point, he needs to go...
Why? because even if he stays, it will not be the same... he was trusted with the CAPTAINS armband, the same one Maldini was wearing... and just speaking about the idea of leaving, destroys a bond...
It's like when you love someone and that person cheats on you... you will still love the person, but you know you can never trust her again, not the same way, you will always remember...

Absolutely 100% agree. There is no way he is going to stay now, because the damage is already done. Sadly, it was made by Shevchenko.
If he were to leave, I wish him good luck. But, there is really nothing to complain about, because, sadly, he is the one responsible for all the saga.

BTW: some people loves to bash Chelsea agressive market policies, saying that it can't produce good results. Well, as much as I hate Abramovitch and his parvenu style, I beg to disagree: for a side that was only a footnote on England's football, they've managed to get outstanding prowesses, including a remarkable bi-championship on the league. We must look at ouselves first before criticizing clubs that are moving forward, not backward...
I insist: we're not reacting with the correct frame of mind to the frantic reality of football's business over the last years.
Thinking that he's already had a plan to go which is not as what he said that he will end up his career in Milan..then he'd better leave...
The great AC MILAN team do not consist of only one Sheva....If he leave we can get another good if not better striker than him.....
So..let him go and wish him success....Milan won't die for letting him go...One day he will sadly regret for leaving Milan.....
If he decides to stay..I don't think his team mates would accept him like before he announced that he's planning to leave and join the Blues to making a Russian Connection team.......
My only doubt is who will replace him as there is still no clue at all who will be coming to replacing him.....Ibra is uncomparable with Sheva...Drogba is chained by Chelski....Henry who is as brilliant as Sheva has made his decision to stay with the Gunners....Nistelrooij is not that good....My feeling said that Trezeguet will be joining us.....
Maybe...just maybe and hope....who knows if Leonardo could use his magic wand to bring in Ronaldinho to Milanello like he did with Kaka last time...

Sheva will leave a big hole in our strike force. This will create a big responsibility on the new striker who will join us. I feel that after Henry only Ibrahimovic can live upto this challenge. A lot of you guys must have seen him in his Ajax days where he played good attacking football. He wasn't just scoring goals but also creating chances for others, he is strong and makes the right passes. At juve he didn't score alot of goals but had alot of assists. He lacks speed but not everyone can be perfect and he can always improve it with time. Ibrahimovic looks as a very realistic replacement for sheva because he doesn't get along well with capello and his current team mates.
Marquez has been given an extension from Barcelona until 2010... he is not coming.

Goal.com indicates that Tevez is a likely target for replacing Sheva...hmmm I am cool with that...though many here would disagree...
There are some forwards that we can rule out (some in actual fact, others for "arguments sake"
Henry: Staying at Arsenal, wont leave after agreeing a new contract
Etoo: Staying at Barca, since Henry didnt arrive
Drogba: Has since recanted, and now wants to stay at Chelsea (I wouldnt want him here anyway, despite Maldini´s vote of confidence in him)
RVN: Seems stuck at Man U, or Fergie will use him as a make-weight to get Diarra probably...(wouldnt want him either)

I disagree. The bond can be rebuild, just like the marriage can be saved after infidelity of one (why did you say "her"? not "him"?).
Just like chemical bonds can be broken and then created again and again.
This aint no nuclear science, we will rebuild the bond. We must strip Andrey of captains status for a long while, but we must embrace him like we do our loved once. And ... Andrey did not cheat on us. He just has family problems,

I have to agree with SANT ... SANT, great point btw.
What chemical bonds have going for them is that there are no people involved there - no feelings, no doubts, no "imperfections" in other words - just electron clouds overlapping. With people, however, it's a dif story. Yeah, you can rebuild a marriage after being cheated on, but the point is NOT whether you are gonna stay together or not, the point is that it's never gonna be the same as before - maybe a very little part of you, but still part of you will always remember and doubt.
I am not saying that if Sheva decides that he wants to stay, I wouldn't want him to, but it just won't be the same as before. But to be fair with him, if he wants to go, I would understand him provided that he's doing it with his family in mind - to me, all that talk about him being after fame and money is merely empty speculations. And if I were him, I would do exactly the same.
I could only wish him best of luck as I am sure he will always be a Milanista in his heart. Family, however, should always come first, no matter what the colors of that heart.
No Trezeguet people!! We HAVE 2 WORLD CLASS IN BOX STRIKERS! we dont ned Crespo, Trezeguet, RVN.... Think about real play for one moment. Ibrahimovic in the only real solution if our Sheva leaves us. He can create, pass well, as sometimes score ... :) Zlatan is an excellent player, he will work well in Milanello. Adriano is just a magical wish, it cant be done.
But I still cant believe Sheva will leave us, lets wait untill tommorow. I have a feeling this will only be announcement that he is Chelsea player, but I still have slight hopes for our no.7.

I agree with you Zlatan as I believe that he can improve tremendously at an environment like Milan's.
But we shouldn;t forget that Pippo is 33 already (or he soon will be) and although he seems back to his best, we have to expect that soon his age might start showing in terms of inconsistent form, frequent injuries, etc. On the other hand, Gila is still very young and in Europe, and in Italy too, we do need at least one experienced top striker - someone younger than Pippo but also older than Gila. Trez fits the bill greatly as he's still 28 (a year younger than Sheva) and his predatory skills are second to none.
If Tevez comes we would have that second striker, so it might not hurt us to look around for someone like Trez as players like him don't become available every other day.
Yes, but im not sure Trez would like to be sub for pippo. Or pippo for trez, or gila for both of them.

Fino a giovedi` i tifosi rossoneri possono continuare a sperare

I just saw on your famous Croatian TV :) an interview with Zlatan < by the way, he speaks Croatian perfectly, i didn't think he still remembers the language> where he said that he has absolutely no intention to leave Juventus if they stay in Serie A, and absolutely no intention to change his club before the World Cup, even if Juve gets relegated by then.
The ones who would like Ibrahimovic in Milan, only need to pray that Zlatan will have a bad WC and his prize won't rise, and pray that Juve will be relegated :)
I also agree on Zlatan. My first choice is Trez, but it seems that we do have great box strikers, while if Sheva leaves we will need a player like Ibrahimovic.
Another problem with Ibrahimovic is that Real is after him again, as they were in January.

IMO there is a big difference between Ibra and Trezeguet. Trezeguet is a good finisher but not a good creator of chances. Sheva scored as well as created and we need to find an exact replacement. The most probable ones that come to my mind are Henry, Eto'o ( mainly because of his form) and Ibrahimovic. The first 2 are surely staying with their respective club while Ibra has a bust up with Capello and his team mates. This is the right time to snatch him from Juve as there is no guarantee that Juve might go to serie b and then sell their players.
On top of that the 2 great spanish clubs are also in a hunt for a striker and the way they placed bids for Henry (GBP 50 mn :wow: ) I don't think we will be able to match their offers so....strike the iron when its red hot and steal that son of a gun.
Speaking about experience I think 2 years are enough for a player like Ibrahimovic to get (at least) the feel of Italian Football.
Yes, but im not sure Trez would like to be sub for pippo. Or pippo for trez, or gila for both of them.
