I think that, just like what happened to Allegri last season, despite all the commotion, Seedorf will somehow stay. The problem is whether the management will give him a full or just half-assed support in the mercato. If the latter happens then history will repeat itself, our results on the field will suffer sooner rather than later and by the second half of next season Seedorf will get the sack.
Latest rumours are we've contacted Zenit and Spalletti, but he's hard to get as Zenit won't terminate his contract easily. Donadoni and Tassotti as his number 2 is also doing the rounds. Silvio's publicly said he likes Montella, though it seems unlikely as Fiorentina will try to do everything to keep him and Monaco are also interested. Finally, Inzaghi's apparently no longer favourite, as he's likely to go out for experience and take over in the future.

It just seems as though the press are working themselves into a frenzy and just picking new names as the favourite for the job every other day.
Even if a lot of it is fabricated by the press, it must be annoying/disheartening for Seedorf as the current coach to see a different headline each day about who is going to take over your job.
Italian press, it's garbage...
Regardless of the press, Seedorf's position has been compromised. It's quite sad really, given he's achieved a lot in his time as coach at Milan. He's made mistakes and he's done things which he should be reprimanded for, but it's impossible to understand what's going on and why he's being treated the way he is.

The management should have kept the situation in hand and at least supported him publicly to allow him and the team to work in peace without the press on their back for half a season. Instead their continued silence, negative demeanor and questionable comments in the press have only resulted in the situation at the club becoming even more difficult, while their relationship with fans must be at an all time low.

I know I have almost no faith left in the management of the club.
Apologies if it's against the rules, but I want to post a link in multiple active threads to the most recent Beyond the Pitch podcast with Gabriele Marcotti, who talks about Milan for about 15-20 minutes and our situation. It's really interesting and imo a must listen to all fans, as he really talks about the Seedorf situation and how it relates to our insane management troubles. Honestly, I really can't say enough this should be listened to:

Btw, the podcast does mention Seedorf is a victim of the ongoing power struggle in the club's upper management. Interestingly, after listening to it, I came across this article which suggests something similar:

Also, Berlu makes a comment to suggest Seedorf isn't particularly popular in the dressing room:

God this club is so dramatic. I feel like it is run by a bunch of children. So here is an interesting scenario. Seedorf comes in and steers this club to Europa league AND we fire him after turning this mess around. Would any sensible coach want to take the reigns of this Milan side then? I'll admit I don't think he has established that massive of an influence on this side but he has done enough to secure at least 1 more year of implementing his own ideas!

I can't believe it but I am hoping we don't get europa league so the club can at least pin that on Seedorf before firing him.

Lastly, when did Milan become a club where the players held such power that they publicly broke with managers? The family mentality of this is officially lost. If we do get rid of Seedorf this summer, we really need to use the opportunity to truly make whole sale changes to the team. It is better to have a team where no players think they are above the club than a fragmented team.
The situation is farcical, no other club ever seems to have such insanity and we're not the only club currently struggling. Man Utd are struggling, yet our stories and rumours dwarf theirs.

The problem I still think is Galliani. Let's not beat around the bush, even without Silvio's money this guy has been making mistake after mistake, using archaic methods to deal in a world that's changed and is buying quite frankly shit for insane amounts of money. Just look at all of the recent news about the clubs value or it's standing in world football or even revenue generated. We're not just any club, yet Galliani's decisions have put us in midtable in Italy while we're spending second only to Juve in wages. Never mind so many other decisions (e.g. treatment of young talents) that have lead us further to ruin.

Not to say Silvio's blameless, far from it, it was his inability to direct the club to build a strong infrastructure and self sustainability during our times of success that's lead us to this insane situation of no money. His lack of involvement in running the club or taking decisions to get the right people running the club is his second biggest offense.

Truth is, the way I see it is Seedorf's becoming a victim of our lack of cohesive leadership at the top, while Silvio's becoming erratic in his time while he's not involved in the day to day affairs. However, the way I see it, our immediate problem is Galliani. He's taking care of the day to day running of the club and is leading us very quickly to demise. Once he's gone, I think we can look to rebuild and tackle some bigger problems (i.e. Silvio's lack of involvement).
Berlusconi acting like an idiot. The ultimate politician playing to the crowd. He ultimately wants to be on the side of the majority even if it isn't fair or right: http://www.rossoneriblog.com/2014/05/10/...room-well/?

This Seedorf thing just really annoys me.

Seems it's the same news as the link which Dev posted (in Italian)...?

I feel disgusted when reading about that. What a prick. Old prick.
