if the defense remains shakey or injured we will get a defender... everything else is wait till summer :-/
pippo needs to retire, he wastes a valuable roster spot. i dnt care if he scored alot down stretch last year... because of him (not playing majority of last few seasons) we dont sign other strikers, and we r constantly thin. Look right now, only sheva and pato healthy..
edit: I would like to see juan come in january, and think its realistic.... and then a young promising defender like crisito, canini or zapata/santacroce (really doubt our ability to get santacroce at this time...). In offseason paolo will probably retire (i think, lol) and kaladze or favalli should move on. I think Crisito is a high possibility as cheillini, de ceglie, molinaro all play positions he would. We can give them the facist as a backup to buffon is they want
Totally agree that we have to sign at least one strong central defender. Two would be better IMO. But I have too the impression that we won't sign another player this winter. Another problem I see is, that Zapata won't be cheap if he plays another great season. And Milan won't be the only club that wants him.
Beside signing new defenders we must also deport some older ones, I think. Otherwise the team will be too expensive with high payed players as Kaka, Dinho, Maldini, Pirlo, Gattuso...
Options I see are:
Keeper
Dida/Abbiati, both of them have to go --> Frey/Boruc/Akinfeev/Adler/Neuer/Mandanda
Central Defender
selling Kaladze/Bonera probably retire of Maldini ---> two of: Zapata/Santacroce/Vidic/Agger/Gonzalo/Albiol
Left Back
Very important! Deport Janku or Favalli or both. Depends if Maldini retires
Options were: Rafinha (sometimes he is a bit lousy in defense...), Taiwo, Bale, Lahm, Zhirkov
For fresh blood in the middlefield I would propose Veloso. If he came, I would probably sell Ambro. And for Emerson we should take back Gourcuff!
If Inzaghi retires a new strikes has to come. Paloschi isn't developed enough to play a constat role in Milans team. Boriello and Pato aren't enough. Huntelaar, Benzema, Agüero, Arshavin would fit in this team.
I think it is necessary to deport at least Kaladze, Dida, Abbiati, Emerson and probably Jankulovski. With their salary younger and better players can be payed.

Damn Football manager 2009 is still not out yet, dude take it easy. the things you said are never realistic. do you think milan will let any of those player walk away, Ambrosini your kidding right.
this winter mercato i dont think we are getting anyone. nesta is getting fit that means sendros will never see the pitch not even again low table teams. he is a 4th choice for anhci. i think we need 4 defenders 2 for the starting 11 and 2 rotation with janku and zambro. midfield is set till 2010 and attack is good we just need pipo replacement
Hey guys, what did Abbiati say that madeyou call him a fascist? I missed that news.

Gobbiati publicly revealed last week that he was a fascist.

This attitude is the reason of our defense problems we have now. For years we did nothing. And you really want to do this again in the middlefield? Then we will have the same problems in the middlefield in some years.
I agree, that Galliani won't buy new players in this winter. At one ponit because there are only few players on the market, and second because there won't be much money left.
But for next season some new players have to come, and some have to go. You can't always relax and trust on this team. This team has won a lot and players like ambro have given a lot to Milan. But this dosen't mean that they have their places for sure. And forever.
thanks BMW. he's an idiot :uhm:
if abbiati is facist he is for him self for me it's important he to play good like he did with inter and im very happy.
it's not ok, alban, and it can't be ok.
maybe for inter, or lazio, that would be ok, but not for milan.
our club has different values than that.

our club has different values than that. I agree Stitchie old boy but some people can only see the result/scoreline and that's a shame....Milan isn't just about football and trophies...I'd like to think it's about values and ideals as well. To me THAT is what separates us from the other big clubs especially Real :yuck: and PRINTER :yuck: :yuck:

even though I agree 100% with you said, i must add something, Milan is like any other club(busiess) they talk about values and ethics all the time but when these values and ethics get on t their way they don't ****ing care about it.
Berlu him self said some racist and facist stuff in 2004 and then apologized when he realized that it affects his business, players like Roony in ManUtd and Gravasen in Real Madrid had there own racial opinions as well and no one blamed them because there was no reaction (unlike what happened with Berlu), so values and ethics are great and priceless for ordinary people like us but it means nothing to business owner unless it increases their revenues.

but abbiati isnt that good nor has he been at milan long enough. Granted hes been here and left off and on but still. I'm saying i undestand if paolo or say gattuso said these things we'd let it slide... but sorr abbiati has a shorter leash.
I personall dont think abbiati is that great, he'll collapse, he always does. And yes it bothers me he makes statements like that. And yes i think he should go because of it
I'm saying i undestand if paolo or say gattuso said these things we'd let it slide...
How can you say that?
What's the difference who said it?
A stupid insulting statement is what it is, no mater who said it.
look I DON'T LIKE ABBIATI i would like him to go away from Milan but right now we need him cause we don't have any better goalkepper. In the winter i would like us to buy Ustari or Carrizo it would be amazing cause i know we have values but we NEED him.
Forza Milan.
stop talking about Abbiati's political statement... this thread is EXCLUSIVELY about the winter transfer market...
if you're going to critize him, do it based on his performance on the pitch, please...
I have my comments about that too, but we're not going to get anywhere talking about it, so move on... thanks for understanding.

I know this forum isn't meant for political discussions, but this whole Abbiati-gate complicates that rule. For example isn't it possible that politics can influence the way clubs conduct their tranfer-business? If a player (who was marvellous on the pitch) had attended a Nazi-rally, would any club, say, OUR club, sign him? - or should they? If that player was already at the club, wouldn't it make sense to ship him out ASAP?
I'm not saying Abbiati did anything as bad as attend such a meeting, but still his statement was highly controversial - and in the eyes of many disgusting. Wouldn't it be reasonable for those people to request that he be sold? After all the club's image is very important, and is determined by more than what goes on on the pitch.
I have my comments about that too, but we're not going to get anywhere talking about it, so move on... thanks for understanding.
Perhaps we are "going nowhere" talking about his statements, but doesn't that apply to anything discussed on an internet forum? People might not end up agreeing but at least they have a chance to speak their mind.
I do agree, however, that such a discussion isn't suited for the "Winter Mercato"-thread, the "Christian Abbiati our #1"-thread was better - but that's closed now...I do understand why it's been closed, as the discussion turned to a strictly political one, which of course it shouldn't.
Anyway, if you (as a mod) don't agree I won't bring this up again and I'll put my Abbiati-poster back up on my wall :uhm:

I'm talking EXCLUSIVELY about the transfer market.Than im basing on the performances on the pitch read my comments better :D.
In the summer: Dossena, Santacroce, Frey, Gourcuff back, one forward. :)
in the winter: Just et somone injured Ibrahimovic and we'll be fine :)

I don't want other team fans wishing the same thing happen to Kaka.
well... maybe a little exception for Materazzi for his brutal play :D
I wish ibra can't play for 4 seasons and when he get back to be a disaster :P.
If you bring up Abbiati that's fine; just no discussion please on his political stands. That's what SANT means.
if abbiati is facist he is for him self for me it's important he to play good like he did with inter and im very happy.
i talked just for abbiati's form like you can see it does not interest to me if he is fascist or democrat or whatever he is to me interest just how is he playing in our goal. And SANT or other moderators i think it's better to send a mesagge to the persons who talk the things can't be talken here it's better than to say here in public. It's not for me cause i learned the rules now but to the other persons who maybe are new or who are old in this forum and still don't know the rules.
Alban.3; I'm not even sure if SANT is talking about you in mind. Nor are we trying to pinpoint anyone.
Nor do you need to teach the mods how to deal with this kind of situations. There are times when we send out private messages and there are times when we make these information public, precisely because we know which should be kept in private and which should be made aware of so that other members won't make the mistake.
Talking about politics in any of the threads is strictly limited. This is an extremely rigid rule that we often do not leave any rooms for leniency. I hope all of you will understand.
but in this forum on the thread of christian abbiati there started the talk about abbiati but no one from you MOd didn't said that u can't talk about the politics would've be better there to say that u can't talk about the politics cause this all started there.
when a mod says its enough he means, no point in arguing...
i think i saw an ebook called "How to behave on an internet Forum" you should read it :D :guw:
I'm behaving great i don't need to read it,cause i didn't tlk about politics just for abbiati :D
ok, enough!!!!! :D
back to topic, please!!!
yes it's better :D.
and i think if we can't have Santaccroce or Zapata for the winter we must take Naldo from Werder or Mertesacker.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! Did you miss the Euro '08? Mertesacker is horrible, he's slow and clumsy. And Naldo is just a slightly better version of him with dark complexion! They're just tall and not much else...

Naldo tall, strong, good with head, powerfull shoot and he is not slow.
Naldo tall, strong, good with head, powerfull shoot and he is not slow.
Well he ain't fast either :grinser:. Even if I did perhaps exaggerate saying Mertesaker is horrible and how Naldo is just slightly better, I still think that neither are great defenders, which is what we should be in the market for. We have enough of the good-not-great variety when it comes to CB's (Kaladze, Bonera, Senderos and, sadly, Maldini :eekani:), we need a world-class one. I'm hoping for Juan in January (please dont tell me that newspapers make up stories :sigh:) or someone like Zapata, Santacroce etc. in July.
Maldini is still great and i don't think u have watched Naldo playing a lot cause he is good better then kaladze, materazi, senderos, and a lot of deffenders in italy for the moment.
Maldini is still great and i don't think u have watched Naldo playing a lot cause he is good better then kaladze, materazi, senderos, and a lot of deffenders in italy for the moment.
Why don't you let me be the judge of how many times I've watched this player in action? I have seen him play plenty of times for both the Brazil NT and, especially, Werder Bremen - and I stand by my words when I said: he isn't great. And as much as I admire Maldini (which is a lot - he's the best defender of all time IMO) I still don't think he can be labelled great in his current state. He had a really good derby, but in most games this season his age has shown. He's the best 40 year old player since Roger Milla, but 40 he is nontheless. And anyway he's retiring at the end of this season, so we need that new world class CB.
yes we need and im saying you that Naldo is perfect for us.It will be better Santaccroce or Zapata or Felipe but also Naldo would be nice to have him on team cause he maybe isn't such great but he will be.

I dream of seeing him playing for us.
Pure rumour about Ramos ... I don't think he'll go, and even less in Milan !!
We didn't spend a lot on the last mercatos, why would we suddenly spend a lot of money again for one single player (as strong he can be) ??
If Ramos goes, it will be for a Spanish club or English one ... or Inter, but probably not in Milan, unfortunately.
PS: I take this kind of rumours like the ones who send Kaka' in Real or Chelsea every year !!

I would like to see ramos in Milan. He is the best young world class defender and had been playing the Top fooball for few years. But madrid wont let him go easily.

I would ask money, give Emerson, Favalli and Dida (or Kalac) to have Sergio Ramos !!
Oups, I forgot that Real isn't that stupid ... lol
it's not the same to give pirlo and 15 mil instead to give emerson, dida and favalli think better lol cause pirlo is a top class player and he is 29 years old :D they probably would accept this bid

My post was all ironical ... :5130:
My post was all ironical ... :5130:
i saw lol.
okay i like zapata and santacroce too(especcially sanracroce,i think his technique is is great for a defender..)but im not sure if they can handle the pressure in acmilan, although they can be great alongside nesta or paolo(im sure that even if he retires hell stay in a posistion that can help us)..
i mean do you remember legrotalie's first year in juve.i thought he was the worst defender in the world,honestly..i also still believe that barzagli.. is tottally overrated,he really makes terrible mistakes and decisions, thats why he ended up in wolfsburg, but when they played for chievo they seemed really talented(omg!)..
my choise would be mexes,i know he would cost us a lot,i know roma wouldnt let him go and i know he makes some mistakes, but thats really because he is always the first man in the ball, and that is risky..he is fast, strong, aggressive(too aggresive maybe,a lot of YC..)great headers and he plays in a club that always plays to win..
my second choice would be santacroce and then zapata..
p.s.im not talking about jenuary, its impossible to get any of them in winter mercato..
p.s.2.naldo,mertezacher,albiol even felipe would be a waste of money and time imo..
Barzagli is the worst italian defender lol i never like him but also mexes costs to much maybe like sergio ramos and sergio ramos is 22 mexes is 26 and sergio ramos is 10 times better than mexes.Zapata and Santaccroce i think they are better then mexes, but Sergio Ramos is the best.
sergio ramos is great as a rb..he is really terrible as a cb..thats why he hasnt play there for almost two years..and thats why real always buy cbs (canna pepe metzelder woodgate etc)
sergio ramos is great in every position, even in midifled if u put him he will play,he did great in cb but then came canavaro pepe metzelder, but not that ramos played bad in cb but they didn't had a great rb then they put him rb and they buyed cb cause they knew sergio can play better then every defender in world in rb he is the best for rb on the world and one of the 5 best deffender in world for cb even though he don't plays anymore in cb.

okay mate i just dont agree with this at all :D
i dont think he is the best rb in the world in any case
and i dont think hes one of the five best cbs(not even in the 15)..
It's u're opinion of course im also saying my opinion and if u watch him more u will see that i'm riite ;):D
i think everybody here have watched a lot of real games, you can find reals results the days sergio played as a cb and how many goals they conceided..of course its just a matter of taste i think..i may be wrong but you may too..:D
im may not always be riite but im never wrong:D.
Ramos at right-back would be amazing, i know it's 99.999% nonsense ... but you never know :D
he would be the best choice we could have cause he is the best and he is just 22.
it would be great as a rb only, and no the best is maybe maicon or dani alves not ramos, not yet..
i told u i respect your opinion but he is the best defender he will be like Nesta and Maldini he will be legend for dani alves i think he is horrible for maicon he is just a stupid player but Ramos is the best he is complete.

If I could go out and pick a RB for our team, I too would choose Ramos. But he's by no means a complete player. He has yet to learn how to balance his defensive and offensive contribution - just like Dani Alves (Who's not "horrible" - C'mon, man!). But unlike Dani Alves he without a doubt has what it takes to become a rock solid defender - Like Zambrotta in his heyday.
But all talk about Ramos should be banned in the Transfer-section: He's "intransferable" as Calderón would say - and why would he leave, anyway?

what did you say on Maicon ??
ohhh come on man. Did you see him in last derby or inter last match against werder bremen ?
:grinser:
I believe he's one of the best RB in the world now, a very balanced back who can defend and attack really well. That alone will explain why Inter won't let him go, let alone to us

Stitch buddy i don't know what it means but im saying to you that i F..... you F..... m..... do you know what this means. And maicon is really stupid cause he shoots from every position and thats not for any smart player especially for any defender.About Alves he is a real maniac just look at his face. For Ramos he is the best with Zambrotta.

Ramos is a great player. But he is not a complete player yet.He needs to get matured.I have seen him many times doing some stupid fouls, getting some stupid yellow cards, or doing some stupid big errors. That guy has it all to be the best DC or RB of the world, he plays with much of tense and passion in every game and i think thats the key why he makes some erros or other not needed fouls. I rhink in future he will gain the maturety he needs and then he will be for sure the best for his role.
For now, for that current time i think D.Alves is the best RB.And even if Ramos in future be the player i think(the thoughts i wrote) i don't think he will better than D.Alves for RB position. From the things i have seen from D.Alves i have not seen it from any other RB of that world.D Alves is by far better RB from Alves.
And remember something else, Alves can play everywher in Right position, Right Back,Right Winger,Right Midfielder,Right Attacking midfielder.Instead of Ramos who can play only as a DC,RB and maybe DM.
My final opinions: If we want a RB i choose Alves. If we want a DC then choose Ramos.
My final opinions: If we want a RB i choose Alves. If we want a DC then choose Ramos.
There are MANY better central defenders than Ramos, even in the same age group: Zapata, Santacroce, Godín etc.
Sergio Ramos is a RB, no doubt about it. If we bought him to play in the centre of defence, we would be wasting his talents. It's like buying Flamini in order to play him at LB.

I think only Ramos, now we have all mid and attack position filled, we are tinn in defence buy we need just him Ramos (probabily the best defender in the world at the moment).
And i forget, sorry, we need goalkeeper, yes Abiatti is good, but not great, we must bring Boruc.
This two, that's all we need. Plus some potencial youngers like that 9 old Gato, he is extraordinary, i lost any words, he will be THE ONE.
i don't know what have u seen in alves cause i saw him and he is not better then ramos but he is nowhere look him now at barca he is the worst player there Ramos can play RB,CB,DM,RW cause he has technique, body,he is great header great jump what else do you want but noraml he still needs to grow but he is better then alves NOW and he always will be.And Ceceves i like Zapata,Santaccroce cause this godin i even don't know him -4- but they can't be better then ramos. My first choice would be Agger,Ramos or Zapata,Santaccroce.

I was just saying that if we want a RB then choose Alves instead of Ramos.I was talking only for that position.
My opinion i think Ramos in 2-3 years he would be more good at DC position.I know there are many others DC with great skills like him to be a DC but i would choose Ramos for his age and that he is already in a great team like R.Madrid and he is a key player wich means he can play in world class teams easily. Well is a lot of different playing in Udinese and playing for R.Madrid.
My opinion i would choose jim firstly for DC position and then for RB.
Ending i can't see R.Madrid leaving him to us without us giving Kaka to tem!So i can't see that transfer, eccept if ......................we make and ofer of 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000€ :devf::devf::devf:

So because you don't know him he can't be as good as Ramos! But those three + Agger are better CENTRAL DEFENDERS than Ramos. And I don't think you can say that Ramos is able to play DM and RW, as he's only played in each position once or twice - It's like saying Rio Ferdinand can play in goal 'cause he did it once after van der Saar got redcarded :bri:.
Also, you're being too harsh on Dani Alves. Attack-wise he's the best fullback in the world (and the best I can remember), though he tends - as a result -to get out of position in defence...Just like Ramos, really. Saying that he's the worst player in Barcelona is unfair, especially considering he's only played a handful of games for them.
Well, I respect your opinion, and I too see Ramos playing DC in the future - but not in "2-3 years". In 8-10 years when his pace diminishes I imagine he will be moved into the centre of defence. But untill then he's just too good going forward to play him as a DC.
But, as I said before, it's fairly pointless to discuss him as he wont leave Madrid. I mean we're talking about a player who - after one season as a Madrid player - was already saying "Madrid hasta la muerte!"...

Sorry I uttered those words in here :guw:
(I'll just balance it out):
FORZA MILAN!
I said that i saw him playing now in barcelona and in last 3 games he was the worst player i didn't said i haven't seen him playing. My favorite young defenders that i would like to sign our team are:Sergio Ramos,Agger,Santaccroce or Zapata these will be in future top defenders Ramos is top but in next 2 or 3 years he will be the best like of Maldini and Nesta, this boy Ramos is special remember this.I aggre totally with rossoneri 11 who said is a lot of different playing in Udinese and playing for R.Madrid.This boy he is leader with 22 years old he is leader of one of greatest teams in world cause real madrid is top class team just like us.

I meant Godín, you said: "this godin i even don't know him".
Also you don't need to remind me that Ramos is special - I know it. I have just two 'problems' with him: Firstly we would be wasting our money by signing him to play in central defence (as he's a RB and there are better alternatives at CB - and cheeper ones); and secondly that we don't have the money to sign.
It's past my bedtime now so: goodnight :tired:

Im glad you know that ramos is special :D.And it's not waste of money if u put him in CB cause u can use him on CB RB DM and he will play great. And we have money to buy him why not.
i just think that we need at least about 25m for sergio ramos,(real got him for 23 if im not wrong)...
and i say that with that amount we can buy both zapata+santacrocce
or one of them(i hope santacrocce:D)and a decent gk..
we dont need a rb,and ramos playing there(cb) is just a waste of his talent(as caceves said before)..
personally i think there is absolutelt no chance well get him..
Stitch buddy i don't know what it means but im saying to you that i F..... you F..... m..... do you know what this means. And maicon is really stupid cause he shoots from every position and thats not for any smart player especially for any defender.About Alves he is a real maniac just look at his face. For Ramos he is the best with Zambrotta.
chill out dude..i think tou already have been told about some expressions that u use..what answer do you expect for that?
cmon man..

It's Ceceves :(.
And if we offer 25 million euros for Ramos, Madrid will tell to stick them were the sun don't shine! They'll want twice that amount for sure.

I'm sorry but i think that even if we make an offer of 50 milion euros to Madrid for Ramos they will say NO!
Madrid is if not the most richest club of the world then sure one of the top 3.
If Madrid wants to sell they will sale rubish players or player they dont need.I cant see them selling their key players, they have no reason to do that(they have all the money they need).
And imagine and something else i can't see them selling Ramos who is a key player and then buing C Ronaldo.I think Madrid wants to buy the best players to make the best team. They have no reson to sell Ramos if they want that.
Just my opinion. :smileani:

Guys take it easy, still early for summer mercato. i dont see us with no possibilty signing any new player. let us just hope kala stay injurred so we wont panic at first sight. i would really love to see bonera play more time. he is 3x better than our number 4. and for sergio ramos this guy is no special. i can see milan goes for a cheaper option especially on the flank. i hope we get zapata and i can see it coming we have a good relation with udinese if you think sergio ramos is an ideal option for our central midfiled than its a misery, from a personal point of view i love seeing Evra on the left, and some right left back sergiho type of player. and a central defender an upgrade of what we have not a replica.
we could also resign brocchi to take care of the void at trequarista! And play the most beautiful attacking football
Do you think before you talk or you just say anything lol.We have Gourcuff who is playing great in Bordeaux and he will come back we have ronaldinho,Seedorf and Sergio Ramos+20 MILION=Kaka' we can buy a replacement for Kaka' like Diego so we would have Gourcuff,Seedorf,Ronaldinho and Diego all top class players.I personally think that if real would make an offer like that with 20 mil+Ramos,or 100 Mil for Kaka' i would sell him.

sergio ramos is great as a rb..he is really terrible as a cb..thats why he hasnt play there for almost two years..and thats why real always buy cbs (canna pepe metzelder woodgate etc)
agreee 100% with this every time he plays as a CB he looks very average while he looks great as a RB, as for Maicon, well I must say that I rate Maicon as the best RB in the world, better by miles than both Dani alves and Ramose in this position even though they are great RBs as well.
P.S. I don't think that any of these players will play for Milan any day.

are you being serious?
you really want to sell Kaka so you can buy 2 or 3 players ?
you want us to have another "Sheva" period?
do you want to sell a Milan symbol?
do you want to sell the future captain?
what makes you so sure that we will buy Diego and Ramos?
what would happen in the dressing room once kaka is sold? dont you think it will create chaos and then the players would think that everyone is for sale?
last question, do you think Berlu or Galliani would sell Kaka?
imo, if Kaka is to be sold to solve financial issues, Berlu wont allow it and he would give the money to Galliani/Carlo...
PS: Do you think before you talk or do you say anything? ;)

Kaka will never be sold, unless he himself expresses a desire to leave (few years from now), but I seriously doubt it

no you think before you talk.

YEs i do.
you want us to have another "Sheva" period?
no Sheva period cause he will go in madrid but we would have Sergio Ramos 20 or 30 mil and i said IF I would be in gallianis place i would do this and to go to buy diego imeddiately in the same year.
do you want to sell a Milan symbol? i want to sell a simbol if this is for the good of the team and the choice that im talking is better for our team because in the next 3 years kaka will not be the same great player and no one will give us these kind of offers:D
The future Captain is Ambrosini for the next 2 or 3 years then will be gattuso im wouldn't be so sure that kaka will be captain
I said i would buy this cause i don't now even if real will give us these kind of offer but if they give i said i would accept and then i would buy diego and to have ramos:D
Galliani always told in Milan the only untochable is President Berlusoni:D.
When berlu selled Sheva that was he's favorite player and great friend and evn Padrino of his boy i think he will sell Kaka.
And this was just to show you that i think before i talk and i suggest you to do the same :D.
Then I'm very glad you're not the Manager :rr30:
Then I'm very glad you're not the Manager :rr30:
lmao, cant agree more tbh...
again, i ask the question, why are you so sure that Real and whoever Diego plays for will sell them to us? maybe they wont?
what makes you so sure that they will be better than Kaka?
maybe they will be like Gila, and flop with Milan?
those risks i dont think Galliani will take on the expense of a player that is in his prime
and theres an old saying: if you dont make mistake, you'll never learn..
and Selling Sheva was such a huge mistake and it wont be made again besides, it was Sheva who wanted to leave and not Milan sold him...
Kaka still wants to play.
Ambro will retire in 1-2 years, Gattuso wont be playing for that long either, Pirlo wont be a first team starter, Kaladze is also gonna retire so yes, Kaka is a future Captain ;)
Ambro can play at least 3 years.I see that u don't even know diego -4-.We have also gourcuff who im sure he will be great when he turns from bordeaux we have ronaldinho that is just 2 years older then kaka but this would be better to talk on the Fantasy sigining cause this will not be possible i would be the happiest fan in world if we bring back Gourcuff sign Diego and sergio ramos with Kaka going in real madrid or not i just would love 2 see these 3 players in Ac milan i like kaka a lot but if i were like galliani if i would receive offers like that i would accept NOW cause last year i was afraid that kaka will go but now things have changed.
FORZA MILAN.
Why think of selling Kaka while he's still great ?
In 2-3 years, he might not be the same great player, but ever think he will do something great in those 2-3 years? like he did in the past recent years ?
IMO, he made Sheva's move to Chelsea less hurting n winning the CL after that even make it even better.
And if u think Kaka worth 2-3 good players, then u've said it all. Except Milan can play 12-13 players on field, I wouldn't trade him for 2-3 players. Milan already has the "depth" we need, we only need a good DC.
yes we need 2 deffenders Zapata,Santaccroce would be great about Kaka'=Ramos i said would be better to talk in fantasy transfers or how was the name of that thread.
In THEORY, kaka for ramos plus cash would improve milan as a team. But in reality, it wouldnt because Kaka is our future captain and adds stability to the team, in many ways, he is milan. Id rather sell off gattuso, ambro, and pirlo before i sell kaka. on that note, u guys are so reluctant to exchange kaka for ramos rite now because of our current situation. but lets say we dun win anything this yr, and everything is miserable again, and kaka is givin press conference about how madrid is his fave team as a kid blah blah blah. I realize that we shud NOT sell Kaka, but if the situation were to arise, i wud sell him to chelsea or madrid.
to madrid for ramos+drenthe+sneider
to chelsea for alex+cech+ ivanovic
again, this belongs in fantasy transfers. but when evaluating ramos, dont forget that he just won the euro cup, he is very young, and maldini named him his successor. there is a reason that milan have been chasing him for a while.
Talking about fantasy transfer, lets just say, selling Kaka is not one of my fantasy :)
and Selling Sheva was such a huge mistake and it wont be made again besides, it was Sheva who wanted to leave and not Milan sold him...
Considering, as you said, that Sheva wanted leave I think 30+ million pounds for a 30 y.o. striker is a very good deal - and frankly it's Chelsea who made the "huge mistake" regarding Sheva. Our huge mistake was not getting a fitting replacement instead of relying on Gila and Oliveira.

But that's the kind of mistake we make all the time nowadays. I too believe selling Shevchenko for that kind of money was a great deal but I wouldn't want Milan to sell Kaka in a similar fashion because I know the club will not spend that money the right way. We will once again buy some second rated player who is hailed by the management as "the next big thing" but can never deliver. And then after two to three years of underachieving we will go for another 18 years old.

aggre totally with u.And i said if the club spend then those money of Kaka to buy diego and some top class players then why we should not sell Kaka.
Selling Kaka would be the most stupid decision ever, never mind signing a Spanish def, no matter how good. When's the last time a Spanish player came good in Italy. In the 60's!!! No true Milan fan would sell our best player. The money problem is due to the high wages of averagfe, and below average junk like Favalli, Emerson, Dida, & Kalac. For the club to move forward we do need younger def, but players like Zapata, napoli guy, and a few of our youngsters like Albertazzi are the way forward.
Selling kaka and buy diego, ramos, and bla bla bla bla is certainly not a good idea.
If you want a good, young, strong defender, why don't you improve the training facilities for the primavera?
Otherwise, send some scouts to discover some talents.

yeah that's right better to sell ronaldinho, cause maybe man city will give us any mega offer next summer. But even this with Kaka' is not a bad idea but it simply could not be done Real would not give us those kind off offers.
It would badly hurt the team's morale if you sell someone only one year right after you buy him. So Ronaldinho won't be sold for sure. And we could also hope that he combines well with Kaka and deliver. For players with talents, it is all just a matter of seconds when they show their magics and change the game. I am counting on him. :) And he is only 28, in Milan, he is like a baby. :D :guw:

Milan is not going to sell anyone for money, we dont need to. Maybe if we have a bad season then Gattuso would be the first to want to jump ship (as usual) so if anyone's getting sold its gonna be him..and he certainly is someone that is expensible.

I dont think Ramos is going anywhere for the time being. Spaniards tend to shy away from the Serie A. He would be a good signing, but yeah focus on more young central defenders. I still think Senderos may have some problems....

Santacroce got azzuri call up (along w/ maggio who can play wingback). I'll be excited to watch him. Sadly dont think napoli is parting w/ either soon. Santcroce will prolly command a 25+ million dollar transfer fee.... Although quality young CB is worth it as they can play till they r 34-35 at a high level.
Guiseppi rossi also got a call up, love him for future. He will come back to italy for a large club in next couple yearS (and is only 21).

whats the point? Sell kaka for 75 mil. Then use 40 to buy aguero and 35 to buy a CB?
Are we REALLY better off? 1 thing, that makes kaka unsellable i think is his attitude, he isnt ronaldinho or adriano, who is subject to overpartying/complacency. He is a real professional, in mold of maldini. He lives for football (and church). Maybe ronnie would be more fun in real life, but kaka is the type of guy u wanna build ur team around.

yes better to sell Ronaldinho with 75 mil and to use money for aguero and on CB.
Santacroce and hamsik would solve many things in our team, but they are impossible to get. Only team that can buy them is Juve coz of the Napoli connections. Not Milan and Berlusconi.

zapata is the same as santacroce .... can't buy both .... can't start with both ... all we need is zapata ( ~15 mil ) and 2 good talents ( a central midfielder ) and ( an attacker) ... could be inler/m.fernandes + di santo/qualiagrella ... how about getting zapata + inler + qualiarella .. i bet udinese won't be a pain in the a** anymore .. u know that getting taye taiwo would be a fantastic idea .. he is a freaking horse
We can fitt the team with this: Boruc, Dossena, Sactacroce/Zapata, Aquliani/Montolivo. And we have the bst squad in the world, and we added 3 italians to the team. Those are the players worth investing, we shouldnt let Dossena go to L'pool, maybe ac Milan can make him come back to Italy. I consider him worthy of Milan's LB.

I read the Corriere Dello Sport article saying Milan are targeting Ramos AND Fabregas!
For a moment i thought i was reading the fantasy signings thread here on MM :delol:
I think we can safely say that we won't be buying either of those players, no matter how much we'd all like them. Shame though, great idea and direction for the club.

It would cost us 100mln, no way. There are defenders that will be better then model Ramos ( Santacroce ). Fabregas in a different story, he isworth 50mln, but will not be sold. Unless Milan signs Wenger!
Zapata and Santacroce are compatible. The latter is able to play at righback meaning Zambro moves over to the left. maldini cant play every game and who knows how many games Nesta is likely to play. Whenever Nesta retires we would have a ready and fully adapted replacement.

If Milan is going to sign Ramos over Santacroce and Zapata, Milan is really going after making themselves the PR team of the century instead of the BEST team of the century.
As I really don't see Ramos better than Santacroce or Zapata.
I think inorder for Ramos to come to Milan, it will need around 45M or more with a big fat contract. I am sure the money being spend on Ramos, MIlan can sign both Santacroce and Zapata.

As for Cesc, if Milan is to sign him, they are better off signing someone like Hernanes from Brazil, as he is the cheaper and better version.
More importantly, if 40-50M for Cesc, why not pay Roma that kind of money to get De Rossi and Aqualini
I read somewhere that we re interested for agger, real too..
i just dont get why arent there any rumors about santacroce or zapata,it really pisses me off..

all very unrealistic names, Ramos, Fabregas, Santacroce, Agger, De Rossi, Aquilani, Montolivo... Not a chance in the world that we sign such young and expensive players.
Milan will go for the more experienced and out of favor at their club players. Or for some small team players who arent rated higher as 10m. Maybe a free transfer like flamini will pop up now and then but no way we gonna sign +25m players as mentioned above.
As for Cesc, if Milan is to sign him, they are better off signing someone like Hernanes from Brazil, as he is the cheaper and better version.

:ilol: Hernanes will be cheaper but he's not better, neither for that matter is Aquilani. What have either of them done compared to Fabregas? While i have no doubt that the Brazilian & the Italian have skill and can develop, Fabregas is able to dominate/orchestrate matches of importance right now, not to mention the influence he had on Spain in winning Euro 2008.
Fabregas is the better player right now, to say otherwise is just ridiculous.
As I really don't see Ramos better than Santacroce or Zapata.
It depends on which position you see Ramos playing. If you see him in a CB position, then yes Santacroce and Zapata are just as good as the Spaniard. For me i see Ramos as a RB and in that department he's much better than both of these players. There are few players who play with as much energy and drive as Ramos does and having him bombing up the right-flank can only be a good thing.
This however is academic as we all know we won't shell out the money for either of these players.
I read somewhere that we re interested for agger, real too..
Real were the only ones in for Agger and that was a false rumour anyway. Benitez doesn't want to sell Agger anyhow, these rumours only came about because of the Dane's injuries had stopped him playing regularly. The recent injury to Skrtel will let Agger have a sustained run in the side, so all will be well again.

Maldini will retire, and Milan needs one CB to fill that place. I would choose Santacroce, but Berlusconi cant sign players from Napoli.

U certainly have a high opinion on Cesc, which is kool and I can see that.
But still, I would prefer De Rossi, Hernanes and Aqualini over him, mainly due to the price tag and I believe the three I mentioned can play in the starting Eleven at Milan right away.

This is funny...
Calcio Comedy: Secco Uncovered As Inter Spy
An undercover journalist has unmasked Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco to be an Inter spy, sent in by Massimo Moratti to deliberately sabotage the Bianconeri.
Calcio Comedy: Secco Uncovered As Inter Spy
Secco is hugely unpopular among Juventus fans, following a long-line of catastrophic blunders in the transfer market. Tifosi have drawn up petitions, directed hate-mail, and even caused Secco to have a motorcycle accident, in an attempt to force the director to resign, but so far they have been unsuccessful.
In a quite sensational development, it has now been revealed that Secco is not quite as brainless and incompetent as his transfer work would suggest. He is in fact a spy for Italian champions Inter, sent by President Massimo Moratti to infiltrate and sabotage bitter rivals Juventus.
The truth was uncovered last night when Secco was tricked by an undercover journalist disguised as Moratti. Secco, who was in Milan shopping with his Bianconeri bonus money, received a phone call from ‘Moratti’ at 22:15 asking for them to meet at the headquarters of Telecom Italia.
Once there, ‘Moratti’ poked fun at Juventus’ latest poor result, a 2-1 home defeat to Palermo, sneering: “What a bunch of losers! They can’t even beat a team playing in pink.”
To this, Secco replied: “Yes boss, we are really destroying them, and the funniest thing is no one has the foggiest idea. They all think I am just stupid, they have no inkling that I am deliberately buying rubbish players.
“I have already got Boumsong, Tiago, Almiron, Poulsen and Knezevic. Tomorrow I will complete the signing of Titus Bramble, while next week I will begin negotiations for his brother Tesfaye, who has scored twice as many own goals as his younger sibling.
“In January I will sell Sebastian Giovinco to Arsenal, and will offer a five-year contract extension to Cristian Molinaro.
“To get the fans excited I will also spread rumours that I am negotiating to buy Rafael van der Vaart, Diego, and Xabi Alonso, only to then sign another rubbish defensive midfielder in the summer. I think I will go for Gilberto Silva next.”
The journalist later discovered during the meeting that Secco had been working for Inter for five years, and had been a spy at Juventus for the last three of these. Secco befriended former Bianconeri transfer guru Luciano Moggi, before stabbing him in the back and playing a part in his and Juve’s downfall during the Calciopoli crisis. It was also on Secco’s advice that the much-maligned Claudio Ranieri was appointed as the club’s coach in 2007.
The journalist has now revealed all to the press, but it seems that Secco will not face criminal proceedings, and indeed he has already been forgiven by the rest of the Juventus board.
Juve chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli told reporters this morning: “He made a mistake, and he knows it, but we here at Juventus firmly believe in giving people a second chance.
“We believe that Secco has the potential to be the best transfer guru in the world, so we stand by him at this tricky time, and are certain that he will prove to be a big asset to the club over the coming 10-20 years, helping us get lots of third and fourth place finishes, and maybe win a few Coppa Italias.”
When Ranieri was asked about this sensational story, he burst out laughing, and joked, “He should be the next James Bond.”
Secco was unavailable for comment, although it is rumoured that Inter are considering retiring the number 29 shirt in his honour due to the br

U certainly have a high opinion on Cesc, which is kool and I can see that.
But still, I would prefer De Rossi, Hernanes and Aqualini over him, mainly due to the price tag and I believe the three I mentioned can play in the starting Eleven at Milan right away.
de rossi and fabregas are unsellable. Aquilani and hernanes would run over 20 mil. (i recall barca couldnt reach an agreement at 18 mil for hernanes) . I suspect if roma does try to sell aquilani we'd step in at last minute and hijack the deal because of our relations... but dont expect to here milan linked to Aquilani out of respect to Roma

Calcio Debate: Fabiano Santacroce – The ‘New Alessandro Nesta’?
Napoli’s young centre back Fabiano Santacroce has been an absolute revelation since signing for the club from Brescia in January. Carlo Garganese believes we may be witnessing the birth of the next Italian defensive superstar…
It is universally accepted that the greatest country in the world when it comes to producing defenders is Italy. Seemingly every year since records began the Azzurri have boasted an abundance of absolutely outstanding stoppers.
In the 60s and 70s there were greats like Giacinto Facchetti, Tarciso Burgnich and Armando Picchi, in the 80s and 90s there was Gateano Scirea, Claudio Gentile, Giuseppe Bergomi and Franco Baresi, to name just a few, while in the past decade Fabio Cannavaro, Alessandro Nesta, and of course Paolo Maldini have been the standard-bearers.
There were a few worrying signs that this production line was starting to dry up, specifically in the centre back position. The Azzurri’s current first-choice backline consists of Gianluca Zambrotta (31), Massimo Oddo (31) and Fabio Cannavaro and Marco Materazzi, who both turn 35 this year.
Beneath these veterans there are the likes of Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini, who certainly have every chance of becoming excellent international defenders. However it is debatable whether either of these players are going to be outstanding enough to be spoken about in the same breath as the likes of some of these great names listed above.
Enter Fabiano Santacroce.
I may be jumping the gun a bit, but I can honestly say that I have not been so intrigued about the prospect of a young Italian centre-back since Alessandro Nesta burst onto the scene about 12 or so years ago.
I first saw Santacroce on his Italy Under-21 debut against France last August. The youngster, who I must confess I had never heard of at the time, replaced the injured Marco Andreolli, and had a blinder of a game at the heart of the Azzurrini defence during the 2-1 victory.
This promise has been fully established since Napoli beat off competition from both Juventus and Inter to sign Santacroce in January from Serie B-outfit Brescia, re-uniting the player with former team-mate Marek Hamsik.
Since moving to Naples, Santacroce has been an absolute revelation, and he has really come to the fore after three brilliant performances against the big guns of Inter, Roma and Juventus.
The stopper, who has a Brazilian mother and Italian father, was impenetrable as Napoli inflicted Inter’s first domestic defeat of the season at San Paolo a fortnight ago. The following week, during the 2-0 loss against Roma, he was so impressive that he was substituted to a rousing standing ovation. Finally against Juventus last night Santacroce was man-of-the-match by a country mile, making dozens of interceptions, and at least two brilliant last-gasp tackles.
Of course it is important not to over-hype the player too much, but all the signs are there that Santacroce could be the next real Italian defensive superstar.
Physically strong, the 21-year-old possesses lightning pace, is a wonderful reader of the game, and a fine tackler. He also possesses the old-school mental qualities, the fighting spirit and a cynical edge to his game that seems to have disappeared from so many young Italian defenders today. What is more is that Santacroce is also a 'footballer'. He is calm in possession, brings the ball out of defence and initiates attacks.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is predicting a massive future for Santacroce, and says that he is the “new Alessandro Nesta” and will be part of the Italy team at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
“Give him time, and he will go to the 2010 World Cup,” declared the movie mogul.
"Santacroce certainly will become the next Nesta in a few years. I have never seen anyone so explosive.”
For a number of years Italy has been crying out for an explosive young centre back to break through. In Fabiano Santacroce it is possible that this player has been found.
What are your views on this topic? Could Fabiano Santacroce become the next Italian defensive superstar? Could he follow in the footsteps of greats such as Scirea, Baresi, Maldini and Cannavaro. Is it dangerous to over-hype the player at his tender age? Goal.com wants to know what YOU think.

1) Milan DOESNT need Ramos. He is a player that can play brilliant and horrible. And would cost HUGE ammounts of money and plays for Madrid so... but he is a pretty face and Silvio likes his club to have such image, as crazy as it sounds. Money is money.
2) Milan also doesnt need Fabgreas. Fabregas would, of course, fit perfectly in our midfield, in any modfield in the world in fact, but he is also too expencive.
Milan will not invest a lot of money, you all know that. We can buy cheaoer players but have same ammount of quality in our team. For me Santacroce and Aquilani are dream players, along with one more GK. Aquilani is something our midfield lacks, as Seedorf cant play more then 2 games in a row as CM, and next year he will be 33. Things need to change and we need to have players like Aquilani, Flamini...in our first 11. Maybe its eve over with Pirlo's great games. Aldough we thuing he is "irreplaceble", so was Zidane in Juve...and Juve did good with selling him. Buying Buffon, Thuram and Nedved.
Well, Im sure Milan will not sell Pirlo in 1000 years, Im just chating. But Santacroce, Dossena, Montolivo, Aquilani and so on...those are the players Milan needs to go for.
Need a DC first, then GK, then Midfield again. I don't think we'll have to worry aobut attack so long if Borriello is performing.

we only have 8 serie A goals in 5 games. Not exactly amazing.... 4 against lazio. Sheva is 32 and pippo is dead.
I think we need to add an attacker well before we touch our midfield. but agreed. Defense first

That's part of the problem Jeff, we rely very heavily on Borriello as we only have him and Pippo as CF's in the squad. Pippo's injured all the time and Borri so far has done superbly in the games he's played, but there haven't been many (he's getting injured a fair amount too).
We need to refreshen the attack too imo, though I agree that we need to sort out the defence and midfield (might be debatable how much we need for this department).
So many problems, but so much fun to figure out a way to solve them!

Every fan would like to see Ramos and Fabregas in his team, but be real - it`s impossible for any Italian club to get them. Zapata is good defender and he can be bought. And it would be good to find some young and cheap talent who would not mind to sit on bench and slowly collect his minutes in huge club like Milan.
Now for a rumour NOT involving a player we would never get:
"BOLIVIA, Many clubs on Campos
Many europeans clubs, for example; Arsenal , Bayern Munchen , Milan are on the young Bolivian talent Jhasmani Campos (20). The Bolivian club, Oriente Petrolero , wants 3.7 million euros for the player."
From Tuttomercatoweb (English version)

I think he's a central attacking midfielder. He made his debut for the Bolivian NT aged 18.
Right...because a CAM would really get any playing time with us? :rollani:

I'm almost ok with you for eveything you said, Ramos and Fabregas would be very good but so expensive ... no need to pay that amount of money for two single players.
Santacroce or Zapata would be the best choices for our defense I think, as they will be sold at a price that allows us to compete with other clubs (something between 15 and 25M I think).
The only thing I don't share with you is Aquilani: the guy is so injury-prone whereas he's still young, it can only be worst in future for him ... so I would take 1000 times more Montolivo than Aquilani, even if they don't really play in the same position.
If we can bring Santacroce (starting 11 instead of Kaladze), Montolivo (starting 11 instead of Seedorf), get back Gourcuff if he plays well during all this season in Bordeaux (replacement for Montolivo/Kaka'/Ronaldinho, so he would have time on the pitch this time), and a good and, if possible, not too old GK in our next summer mercato, it will be perfect (then, all other purchases will be bonus lol).
This way, we wouldn't have to deal with Real Madrid, Chelsea and clubs like that, just with Fiorentina that are "friends" (not really but we sold them Gilardino and there seems to be good rapports between the two clubs), Napoli and another club for our GK ...

So theres ur rooting interest. Then again u never know, roma have sold chivu, mancini last 2 years... which makes me wonder, y didnt we try to get chivu considering our better rapport w/ roma

i like him more than aquilani. Ive never really seen aquilani have a special game, albiet ive seen many highlights of special plays....
I hink montolivo is a natural replacement for the pirlo/seedorf roll in midfield. He'd play a little higher up like clarence, not a bad thing though.

^^^ Ummmm If you watch some Italy U-21 you'd see Cigarini pretty much plays EXACTLY like Pirlo...but just is a better defender. I'd love for us to get Cigarini...a lot cheaper than Fabregas and although not at Fabregas' level yet, has potential to get there. I havent been following his Serie A season so I can't comment on that but he always plays well for Italy U-21.

Not exaclty, its gonna be the same over again....dont bring back this kid, until seedorfs retires.
^^^ I agree his talent will be completely wasted here. If he wants to leave Bordeaux at the end of this year, it'd be better for his career if we went to somewhere like Lyon or something.
In other news...Huntelaar scores AGAIN for The Netherlands. I think he has something like 8 goals in 13 games for the Dutch NT ?

Since lot's of you guys keep talking about Huntelaar, I would like to focus your attention to 21 year old Moussa Dembele from AZ Alkmaar.
I don't think we need him immediately but this certainly a player we could use in the very near future. To be honest it's such a player we wanted this summer before we brought in Borriello.
He is a young strong forward that can hold a ball perfectly and dribbel extremely well. Those of you who followed the Olympic games should recall him as well for his game against Italy.
Despite he doesn't score that often as Huntelaar he is considered a way bigger talent than Huntelaar is, in the Netherlands and that as a Belgian player since dembele isn't the goalpoaching type. (Ronald de Boer who trained with him even called him the biggest talent in Europe)
I think he could line up perfectly with Pato or Paloschi. Real wanted him 2 years ago but he refused to go coz he wanted to play games, imho a wise decision, each year he plays better and better.

maybe not well related but still worth to read, it's about Crespo. Nice thing tho what he said about our coach. I still wondering why Milan not done enough to keep him @ via Turati. He did well for us and the partnership with Shevchenko worked nicely.
Crespo: Inter ruined my career Saturday 11 October, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hernan Crespo has blasted Inter for effectively freezing his career for six months, but won’t blame Jose Mourinho.
The Argentine was left off the Champions League list and has so far played for only 21 minutes this season.
“I am not angry with Mourinho. He is a great Coach, it’s just that my case should’ve been dealt with better, there’s no doubt about that” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Nobody explained to me the reasons behind my exclusion from the Champions League side. I am not a kid and can understand things.
“I train every day, put the effort in and try to get the attention of the Coach. Then he makes the choices and I respect them, because that’s the way I was taught.
“I have never dreamed of protesting against a tactician’s decisions and I’m not going to start now. Having said that, I would like to play a few more minutes of football.”
Crespo had already run into problems with Mourinho when they were at Chelsea, but his escape to Inter for more playing time backfired when the Portuguese boss took over.
“I like Mourinho, he is a great teacher of football, just like Marcelo Bielsa was for me in Argentina. Bielsa was less of a showman than Mourinho, but they have similar characteristics in that they continually rehearse movements and tactics.
“Mourinho isn’t my ideal Coach, no, but he is good. My ideal tactician, and everyone knows it, is Carlo Ancelotti. I have a rapport with him that goes beyond football. I like the way he faces each situation and treats the squad after every win or a defeat.”
Crespo turned down Milan to join Inter after his brief return to Chelsea, but he seems set to move on again mid-season with Roma and Sampdoria possible candidates.
“We’ll see what happens, I’ll make my decision in January. I am 33 years old, so I have to consider many elements. I certainly still feel like a player and therefore want to play. If I am locked down here, then I’ll seek another solution.
“I don’t know about clubs interested in me and don’t want to talk about it right now. The only thing I will say is that I don’t want to be in the stands any more. That’s not too much to ask, is it?”

Dembele is a decent player but I don't think he's good enough for a first team place at Milan and not that tall, only about 5,7. Huntelaar is sheer quality and would be a great sigining for us. He can link the play and is a proven scorer.

paloschi and rossi arent even comparable. 1 rossi is a support striker ala del peiro/cassano. 2 Rossi is FAR more talented and proven at 21. Paloschi isnt ready for Milan, at least not to be one of our main 3 strikers, maybe as 4th striker but I prefer him to stay at parma for a few more years.
Rossi is a striker who can create chances by himself as a second striker, but he also is a very good finisher! I remember alex ferguson said he is a more natural finisher than ruud van nistelrooy, who is on of the best goalscorers around!

we need more than 2 strikers! Borriello, Pato, Rossi, Inzaghi would be a great forward line, 2 real strikers, and 2 second strikers.
To be honest I don't even think we should be counting Pippo as one of our strikers anymore. He's hardly fit and is getting on in age. Next summer we'll definitely need a striker, especially if we ship Sheva back from whence he came. But for the winter mercato I think we have enough selection problems in midfield and attack as is. The probably for me is there's quantity on our roster but not quality, or should I say consistent quality.

rossi would be a very pleasant addition. he could play as a second striker or as a CF, he is very talented. he is better than Paloschi i must say. he's only 21 and he's played in Serie A twice, Premiership once and is now in La Liga. He also is a huge Milan fan, that always works in his favour.

rumour has it that a Crespo-Ancelotti are set for another reunion this January...this will not happen only unless Pippo/Sheva/Boriello remain injured for longer periods.
Another side note, Cardacio says that he played as an attacking midfielder that's his natural position but he believes he mostly resembles Fernando Gago. I can't wait to see more of him, every time I seen him play he has impressed.

Abeta-yesterday i watch him play and was huge!
Gorky-He is in top form.
Frey-We need a better GK.
Santaccroce-Maldini is out.
Striker-I would take Zarate.

That was the first thing I said when I saw him...he plays a lot like Gago, the type of Iniesta CM we need. (People sorry if I keep mentioning Iniesta but HONESTLY I think he's more important to Barca than Messi). He would be a dream signing...but impossible :(.

Is someone know what about Ochoa?
Cardaccio can play as well as he can, but Emerson will always step up in front of him for "one" reason - he has been payed 5mln, has 4mln per year sallary and is milion years old + Carlo likes him for some VERY strange reason. Cardaccio is a same story as Yoan at Milan. Better to oan him for second part of the year to Reggina, Parma etc.

I dont know why everyone hates Emerson so much? I think Emerson is great, just give him a bit more time.. last year he had alotta injuries but now he is healthy and fit, I think he would be the ideal CM to use in a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 formation. Only reason that I may dislike Emerson is because Carlo always plays him over Cardacio.

Is someone know what about Ochoa?
In my opinnion, Guillermo Ochoa would be the best GK solution for Milan... the only other option I would have considered equally good is Hugo Lloris... we will see next year.

I don't know really, I haven't seen that many times. I heard some Mexicans guys talking about him being overrated and how he cost them the qualification for the Olympics. Anyway I sometimes tend to pay more attention to one bad review than 10 good ones - It's something I need to work on...:hammer:
I do think there are other good options out there. Frey might be the closest thing we'd get to a real world class keeper. If Fiorentina fail to make the CL (naturally assuming we finish 1st :bri:) he might leave. Then there are young ones like Adler, Neuer and Mandanda (who all have EU-passports unlike Ochoa); and then there's Boruc...I think he's crazy - I won't deny that I at times have liked him to come here, but he's so ill-behaved (drinking, abusing opposition fans). Also he tends to make HUGE mistakes at times.
we may have a better shot at Lloris then...
Regarding Ochoa, no, he didn't cost the qualification to the Olympics... he was the reason they had a chance until the last minute, literally... and he has a lot of experience for his age, and he's a ver athletic GK, unlike the guys we have now...
Boruc was mentioned too much, he's not Milan caliber personality-wise... same as Cassano and others of the same style...
From Goal.com:
"Beckham To Milan In January
David Beckham will join Milan in January to train with them and the Rossoneri are going to try and make the move permanent after missing out on him two years ago...
The England international was a target at Milan but the club let him slip through their fingers.
Sources close to the player told 'World Soccer Daily' that Becks will team up with the Rossoneri in January to keep his fitness up while he prepares for the new season in April 2009.
The winger trained with Premier League side Arsenal in January and he will now do the same with Milan in the new year.
Milan chief Adriano Galliani admits that his club could have signed him and he will try again when Beckham arrives at Milanello this season.
"If Beckham had stayed to play in Europe then we would have signed him. He would have been ours after his experience with Real Madrid, but it didn't happen," said Galliani.
Speculation is rife that Milan will make sure the Englishman is signed up quickly, and reports around the penisula suggest a multi-million pound bid as the Italian club tries to creat an international dream team by adding Beckham after the capture of Ronaldinho.
Milan don't really have a natural-born right winger in their team and Beckham will represent the perfect signing to continue building a squad full of superstars.
The lure of first team top-European football will appeal to 'Golden Balls' and he would relish the chance of trying his game in Serie A after his experiences in Spain for Real Madrid and the USA for Los Angeles Galaxy."

if we sell gourcouf for about 15m(and i think that we should he ll never have the time needed with us,just because we have better options)then we can have two cbs(the one about 15 the other cheaper)and a better gk than ss abiatti..

I do think a little thing called money was the motivator in bringing back Abbiati. If he'd been as expensive as Frey there's just no way he would be our goalie now.
Don't get me wrong I think he's done well so far, even if I strongly disapprove of certain comments he made.

No thank you. For £34 there are better options out there, including some who can score more than 14 goals a season. As a general rule, if even an English team finds a player too expensive - don't buy him. I mean United would pay £31 mio. for lazy Berbatov, £14 mio. for overrated Carrick etc. but won't sign Tévez. Only Manchester City would be crazy enough to pay that amount.
This is a player who basically gets more cards than goals, we don't need that.

first he scored 19 goals and 8 assits if u count fa cup + CL. Second he got very erratic run outs, and he can still score. Third, he's a fighter and a team player. Ronaldo scored alot for them, he dropped back alot created spaces for runs. He is unselfish and can play in a load of places.... i'd LOVE him at milan. He never says die.
I'll agree price is too high, but who is the money going to? Joorbachian?! If so itll be lowered. Although admittedly we'd have to compete w/ mancity who would pay it

I believe that's what they call "the Wayne Rooney-excuse": A striker loses his touch and people defend him by pointing out things like his workrate and how he "creates spaces" for others to score.
Of course a striker isn't all about scoring, but it's the main thing - and it's better to score and do nothing else, than doing everything but scoring.
Tévez IMO should stay in England where they appreciate the insane tackles he does every now and then.
Frankly I'd rather take back Ronaldo (the real one of course) for £0 than pay £34 or even £17 for Tévez.

if we were to add a striker (and of course im talking end of season when sheva or pippo r done) i'd want 1 like tevez. A striker capable of player support or first. With both borriello and pato and possibility to play alone.
unfortunately names off top of my head.... david villa, tevez, ibrahimovic maybe eto'o. Not exactly walmart brands... :-/
zarate, pandev also come to mind.
edit: in my opinion i dont wantanother first striker unless borriello leaves. out ando ut first strikers like huntelaar are too limited. Yeah huntelaar would be great, but we cant play him uptop w/ borriello so we'd have 2 uncompatable strikers.... with say tevez we could play.... pato-tevez, tevez-bori or bro-pato.......

"Milan And Roma Agree Mexes Deal - Reports
Milan have agreed a deal with Roma for Philippe Mexes and he will arrive in January, according to Tuttosport.
The Rossoneri have been after the stopper for a while but the Giallorossi have been playing hard ball as they have resisted every attempt from the Milanese giants.
However, Roma appear to have eased off and a deal to sell Mexes to the San Siro-based club seems on the cards.
Tuttosport claims the Rossoneri will offer €10m and Marek Jankulovski for the French defender and he could arrive as early as January if I Lupi accept the deal.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is in Rome trying to tie up a deal in order to land his man ahead of the others. Mexes will be given a four year deal and he will earn between €2.5m - €4m per season, therefore the whole transfer will rise to €20m.
The capital-based club are likely to give-in to Il Diavolo's temptations as they look to recover some of the money they spent in the summer."

I feel the same way as you: He's a huge talent, but I too have only seen him a few times.
Santacroce I have seen in like 10 games so far. As a young player he had ups and downs, but always showed he had potential to be a defender of highest class. Tactically aware, phisically strong, has rithm ( as the man is actually a Brazilian ) and reads the game perfectly. Can play RB also. As far as I'm concerned he reminds me more of Nesta then Cannavaro, and I would take him in front of Mexes right now. As I think Santacroce is a better player then Mexes.
But even if we sign Mexes we did a great job. ( Aldough Im sure that will not happen in january ).

Guys, i would like to hear your opinion on Santacroce.

I have similar thoughts tbh. He's a strong and aggressive defender, and anticipates and intercepts balls a lot like Cannavaro. I also understand comparisons to Nesta, due to his physique and ability.
I think he looks like he'll be a star in the future as he matures, and personally I wouldn't mind taking him early if possible.
If Milan aim to replace Maldini and eventually Nesta then Santacroce is an absolute must.
Bonera was once the "New Baresi", obviously he never lived up to the billing. At the time though We had Maldini and were able to choose from a market boasting Nesta, Cannavaro and Thuram. At the end of this season there will be no more Maldini and Nesta isnt exactly a toddler. Its riddiculous we dont already have someone like Santacroce to learn from Maldini before he retires.
santacrone wouldn't be bad for us, infact he will make us better in defense. Our current defence line up, specially in centreback is still okay for this season. But beyond that, we need to have replacement. Santacrone is a good choice. But I doubt napoli will give us easy chance to get him.
As for tevez, even I won't take him for 34mil GBP, but if for 10mil GBP then why not? yet again, it's a big IF.

Milan rubbish Mexes links
Tuesday 21 October, 2008
Milan have scotched rumours that they are set to sign Roma ace Philippe Mexes in the New Year.
There were widespread reports this morning that the Rossoneri had agreed a deal with the Giallorossi that would see Daniele Bonera and Marek Jankulovski travel in the other direction.
“The news that has been communicated by several media sources that Mexes is coming to Milan in exchange for Bonera and Jankulovksi is completely untrue,” a short statement from the Diavolo reads.
However, Milan are expected to enter the winter market in a bid to strengthen their ageing and increasingly brittle defence.
Chelsea's Serbian starlet Branislav Ivanovic has been a regular target and Liverpool's Daniel Agger recently entered the frame.

Inzaghi is injured for a higher percentage of the season than the percentage he plays. The details of Sheva's transfer are still unknown...people don't know if it's a loan or a buy. And in either case, he has till the end of the season to prove himself and while I remain hopeful he'll rediscover his old touch...I really doubt he will. This leaves us wit R80, Pato and Borriello. Yes it is,i admit is was a bit strange because Milan didnt annouced it,it was the same case as Cardaccio and Viudez, but we indeed bought him and we loaned him to his club Santos because he is just 21 or something like that, next season he will be with us and Dida/Kalac shall leave probably....

First of all,Ronaldinho is playing better and better so will shall play with the X-mas formation probably with Kaka and Ronaldinho as AM,and one striker....we have Borriello and Pato for that position and Inzaghi half the time involving his injuries and Carletto will use Sheva because he loves him....so in our opinion Milan has 2 real strikers:Pato and Borriello....and Dinho,Seedorf and Kaka as AM's but in the real world(!)Milan has 4 strikers:Pato,Sheva,Borriello and Inzaghi.....
Why should we talk about it things who are not going to happen?????
Talking about a defender is realistic because Maldini is stopping and our defence is ageing.....
But talking about a extra attacker is a waste of time, just like the goalkeeper issue(Milan already bought Felipe from Santos for next season). So lets talk about realistic things.....
Or is this topic a topic where you can spill your one ideas and behave like we are the manager......
Dutchie-Milan said some smart things. But dont get mad my friend, people just like to talk about football and Milan and that's all.
If we are talking about next year we can realistically talk about that GK from Santos ( who I've heard off and heard some nice words but Milan hasnt confirmed anything so I didnt mention him as our next GK ), one CB and Gourcuff. If Felipe turns to b a good GK and Milan brings back Yoan and gets one great CB that would be great.
And about formations, Playing 4-5-1 with Kaka'+Dinho+forward is offensive enough. Its now the question of composition of middle 3 players and their caracteristics. Front 3 are not questionable. And that is where Yoan comes in, as a central midfielder alongside Pirlo and Rino ( role Seedorf is doing now). In my oppinion.

i just pray we get him and he ll proove me right, because if he plays for us hes goona be one of the 3-4 best around..just w8 and u ll see..
Darmian will not end up good as he doesn't play, and in all honesty I don't see anything to build on there. Albertazzi has more promise. We need Zapata, Santacroce, and another wide def during summer. Abate I hope joins back with Paloschi, Di Gennaro.

Milan, arriva Beckham

i hope this is not true:stupid:
It's true.

At least Gallliani made it clear that, to some extent, the reason why we signed Becks is about "full stadiums and sponsors". Just like when he explained why Milan chose Dinho over Adebayor. If Becks can give as much impact as what Dinho has been doing, then it's very welcome thing. But it turns out the other way, well, at least we get some money from selling his jersey. So, all in all, welcome to Milan, Becks..
Well I'd probably buy a Beckham shirt ....
