Though Milan might have come out of the banter era but still I might say that Milan fans are still stuck in their old banter era mindset. C'mon man we are supposed to compete with best teams of the world that too coming with the notion of a 'Top 5 league club' and you expect a below average player like Krunic to be the first choice substitute for Pioli. Take a look at the midfield of other UCL representative from Italy and compare to ours literally no name except for Kessie and Bennacer(and Tonali career's is getting rotten by Pioli hysterical love for Meite and Krunic).
Coming on salary...He still earn less than most of Atalanta midfielders
Nah, he didn't had any great performances as per I remember only few decent hold ups in 2nd half which even Tonali might done and had gained some more confidence in him.
In a sudden transformation, Milan again contacted Hakan and persuaded him to renew his contract with the team, according to @DiMarzio.
Is it because of the failure of De Paul's deal
Yea Krunic is wasted space. You can get similar performance out of a young young player, but at least the hope for future financial return and actual improvement on the pitch is a possibility. Krunic is neither.
I don't know if it's a good idea for Calhanoglu to come back at this point, even if it is possible to strike a deal. I can't imagine the fans would be very forgiving of his behaviour and lack of respect for the club - he'd probably have most of the San Siro against him once people can return to the stadiums.
Calhanoglu has been quiet tbh I don't recall much disrespect. If he went on to not renew and walk out that way then it would be different. If he renewed I wouldn't say it's total disrespect towards us.
My gut tells me he will renew. We will need the depth next season.
You would think with the infusion of cash from finally getting CL, we would at least try to spend money on a marquee signing. But instead we are being linked to nothing but young players and cheap veterans. I frankly don't even think De Paul is good enough to really elevate us but he is at least better than freaking Hakan. Are we really expecting to roll into next season with basically the same squad and be competitive in CL?
Fiorentina to step in for Tonali in case we don't redeem him.
Possible Papu-Castillejo swap. (if this happens ill tattoo Sevilla logo on my chest)
I guess we would be stuck with the 4th position in group. Hakan staying would be the most depressing part of Mercato. Maldini is horrible in dealing contract situation, he keep thing pending till they ultimately leaves the club. I smell the same scenario with Romagnoli next season... Sad life

I am with you on this one. I don't think he has been disrespectful, plus, Donnarumma's antics would have made Hakan look like a saint now.
I am rather indifferent if he renews or not, at this point. If he doesn't renew, I may be even a little happy because I hope that someone better will come in; if he does renew, as long as it is on our term (I trust Maldini and co on that one), I think he will still be useful. Not a super star, not even consistent performer, but he knows the system, knows the environment, knows the players around him, so he can add value to the team.

I don't think de Paul is good enough either, but I am biased against him. He always had a super performance against us, but bent over for Juventus. (Sorry I know that's not your main point, but I just wanted to vent.
)
I wouldn't be too surprised if we don't make expensive purchases, but if CF and RW (and to some extent, ACM) are sorted out, we can call them upgrade and move on with confidence.

So what would you have Paolo do?
For me, he's doing the right thing.
