Our Duck's been through a lot in the last year. What with injuries and his divorce and all that. Notice how he doesn't give out the heart for a celebration no more? Must have deeply affected him.
But he seems a tougher kid for all that he's gone through, and I can only hope for good things from him this year.

Yes thats Pato's doctor apparently...
Robinho is rumoured to be coming on loan with an option to buy for 15m euro, and a salary of 5m euro/season.... knowing Galliani, maybe after 2 hours tomorrow he can bring it to 5m euro to buy and 3m euro/season :D
Or make ManCity pays half of his salary.

wow, i cant believe we all have faith in galliani now.

It seems that we are dreaming or we are watching other people on Galliani's body. If Kaladze out and Robinho comes, your signature definitely need to be updated (actually with Ibra comes your siggy is already aged). :coffee:

Yes, Fox Sports World Canada are heavily biased towards Milan, they always always show Milan games even when there's Juve - Fio playing at the same time for example. They have an agreement I believe with TLN and Rai International for each of the three to show a different game. Rai Intl has extensive coverage showing every game, then Fox, then TLN only shows Sunday evening games...this year there will also be The Score.
Yes, I've noticed that. Milan is always on :devf:
Fox Soccer Channel is good now. They have an Italian commentating with the Scottish guy. Together they're great.
RAI International is pretty fair with the games they show, but I prefer Fox Soccer Channel because the Video is clearer.
wow, i cant believe we all have faith in galliani now.
Well he sold a pair of crooked legs for €65 millions and then bought Zlatan at €24 millions so he deserves our respect. That said, he needs to honing his skills on extending contracts though

Yeah, I notice that too. Kinda miss that celebration eventhough it's been done lately by so many players. Chin up, chest out Patinho; what doesn't kill you can make you stronger!!!

cant wait for the good news:!!
I don't want to be a party pooper but I'm concerned about Robinho maybe coming to Milan, hopefuly B&G don't pull another Kaka here, when they got his replacement (Dinho) one year in advance. I really hope Robinho coming doesn't mean Pato leaving next year for 60M, after all these years of lousy mercatos I find a bit strange all this spending, even if they are getting WC players really, really cheap............anyway I hope I'm wrong and it's just our management finally doing their job.

That would depends how Pato's performs this year. If he manages to hit 30goals in all competitions and stays healthy, his price tag could be 80mil. With that money, Berlu can get both Ganso and Nylmer. Then it would be the Trident from Santos in Milan+ Ibra. Pretty exciting stuff if you ask me.
Honestly, if any team offers over 60Mil for a player, it is impossible for any clubs to refuse. Unless that club is in the middle of a dynasty like Barcelona, then it is a different case.

Didn't think on Robinho replacing Dinho as I see it more like a second striker than as a winger, but he definitely can play there, your theory is waaaay better than mine, so I'm gonna stick to that now :1five:

I think Paolo3 raises an interesting point here. It always seemed strange to me that the deals we have been structuring all start payments next year. Take Ibra, for example, we were rumored to have 30 million euros to spend but we are not going to start paying for him next year. Now I know we have a few expiring contracts coming off the books by then but exactly how big is our transfer budget going to be in 2011? It seems like we are either going to have a humongous transfer budget next year or something else is going to happen to fund all these purchases. I for sure hope this year is the beginning of yet another super milan era, but there are troubling signs that suggest I shouldn't get my hopes up just yet.

I know what you say, sometimes is really difficult to reject a massive offer, but honestly, like some other people here, I think Pato will be a once in a decade striker, kind of like Ronaldo or Sheva, and he clicked so well with the fan base that would be a sin to sell him (not that we didn't do it before, I mean selling our symbols), specially at such a young age, but it's all hypothetical, hopefuly Robinho comes and partner Pato in Milan for the next 5 years.

Lets look at our book.
In June, it was announced that the budget for this summer was 30Mil.
Milan paid 7M for 3 youngsters and 4.5 Mil for Papa also sold Staori for 4.5Mil. Then got Amelia, Yepes and Boatang on loan. Since guys like Dinho Gattuso, Pippo, Oddo, Zambro and Ambro all accepted a paid cut. The saved salaries from those six should be enough to cover for salaries for those three loans, Papa and the increase to Pato.
From that Milan should have at least 20Mil to spend on transfer. That is more than enough to cover Ibra's wages at 8Mil, means 16Mil expense from Milan. Meaning 4Mil left over.
If Hunter does leave for 14Mil. That's is 14Mil income and about 4Mil save on wages, 8mil less expense from Milan. A total of 22Mil increase. That along with the 4Mil left over from above would be enough to pay the transfer fee for Robinho. Lets say his wages is the same as Ibra, 8M and 16Mil expense from Club. That would pretty much put Milan in -16Mil from the start but given the chances of going further in CL, Round of 16 without Ibra and Robinho to QuarterFinal(at least), that's should be an additional 5-8Mil, including gate Revenues and TV rights.
The previous merchandises sales estimate would also increase by at least 2Mil due to Ibra and Robinho as well as winning more games.
Season tickets sale will remain the same as both signings are late August, but the regular gate incomes should also increase by another 2Mil over the long season.
Over all, I think Robinho's wages/salaries will be recover from going further in CL, gate revenues and merchandises sales.
In short, Milan will be able to balance its book again by next summer.
Bare in mind, I used all that only based on Hunter's sale. If Borreillo, Janku, Kala, Oddo and whoever is sold. Milan will only get more money.

Like I said, if Berlu is going to build another Dynasty based on Pato, Robinho, Ibra, T. Silva, Flamini and on the last legs of Dinho, Nesta and Pirlo. Then it is foolish to sell Pato for any amount. But if Berlu just wants to win now and cash in on players, and then ride the legs of Ibra, Robinho, and others for making it to CL, then spending big again. Then he will probably sell Pato for 60+mil.
Lets look at our book.

Hunter to Schalke for 13M. Minor revision on your calculations, but nonetheless a revision.

Juventus have reportedly just changed their minds over signing Milan striker Marco Borriello and returned their attention to Sampdoria hitman Giampaolo Pazzini.
According to TMW, Borriello is asking too highly of a salary, which is turning the focus away from him, and back to Pazzini.
The 28-year-old is seeking a €4 million per season deal, which the Bianconeri do not wish to agree to

I am happy that Borri is staying, as Milan needs another TRUE CF. Having Borri, Ibra, Pippo, Pato, Dinho and Robinho rotates 3 spots are great for the team.

I am curious to find out about this, but how upset would people be if Borriello ends up staying and Robinho doesn't join us? As much as I would love that swap, I actually don't hate the idea of Borriello staying either. Robinho is talented, but Borriello can also be a very effective player for this team still.

As reported by Gianluca di Marzio of Sky Speciale Calciomercato: Robinho will arrive in Milan at 8:30 this morning. The talented Brazilian should have arrived last night at 23:30, but his flight was delayed probably waiting for Borriello-Juventus deal to be closed
but with Borri staying what happens now with robinho or are we cool still as Klass has gone to Schalke?
***EDIT***
Just seen this
from football-italia
La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Milan have done a deal for Manchester City fantasista Robinho, but first they must sell players.
The Rossoneri have apparently used the same formula to land the Brazilian as they did with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the weekend, a loan for a year, then an option to buy, this time for €15m.
La Gazzetta understands that Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola flew to England yesterday afternoon to handle the Robinho transfer.
Raiola has already held negotiations with City this summer when another of his high profile clients Mario Balotelli moved to Eastlands from Inter.
La Gazzetta claims City gave the green light at 'a certain hour' last night, prompting Adriano Galliani to organise a private jet for 8:30am this morning.
However, Milan must first make room for the Brazil international before his arrival. Galliani is currently working on selling Marco Borriello to Juventus.
The two clubs have apparently reached an agreement whereby Juventus will loan the 28-year-old with the option to sign him for €13m next summer.
Meanwhile Schalke appear to have signed Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for €14m, facilitating the Robinho deal that little bit further.
but with Borri staying what happens now with robinho or are we cool still as Klass has gone to Schalke?
If we want Robinho to Milan then Boriello must say yes to Juve anyway Borriello will say yes but first he wants an extension until 2015 and salary from 3 million to 4 million from Juve
Kaka1899
31-08-2010, 03:48
i hope Borri does not screw this deal up for us, imo Robinho would have scored at least one of the chances Borri had on Sunday night.
Gabriel489
31-08-2010, 03:48
15M transfer and 5Mil salary for Robinho is a great deal.
Don't know why Milan must sell both Borri and Hunter to get Robinho, as I can see them having both on the team, since Hunter is gone.
According To Latest reports, around 11 is expected to arrive in Milan Robinho with a private plane... I hope its true

No longer Milan is loaded with CBs, they are also loading up with forwards/strikers.
Maybe they can play this formation.
------Abbiatti------
Papa--Nesta--Yepes
--Bonera-T. Silva--
Robinho-Ibra-Dinho
--Pato--Borreillo--
That will solve the problems with lacking Great FBs, and lacks of movement from midfield.
Galliani is a visionary after all.
I agree with Gabriel, i don't see why we need to lose both Boriello and Huntelaar. Getting rid of both leaves us quite short of target-men up front. I know we have Inzaghi but how many games in all seriousness can he be expected to play in a whole season? If Ibrahimovic were to get injured then we'd have no one of that type to fill in. I can't complain too much if it gets us Robinho, but i think it might be slightly rash to lose both of these players at the same time.
On the flip side, if it meant we signed Lukaku next season i'm all for it :D
Galliani and Marotta have found agreement for Grosso-Kaladze exchange between Milan and Juve
Gabriel489
31-08-2010, 04:09
Well, getting Grosso will surely strengthen the Reserve team.
All they need is Canna or Matrix and Milan can actually have a WC2006 Champions back line for their reserve team with Zambro-Oddo-Canna/Matrix-Grosso.
Juve is stupid to trade for Kala THE GAME CHANGER, maybe Janku can play there too.
The exchange Kaladze-Grosso in these minutes is under development

A lot of people here are saying Borri is not needed as Pippo is the back up CF and Pato can also play as CF....Although that is true but imagine playing against Parma or Bari or Bolgna with 20 minutes remaining and the score is tie, Pato as CF from the start really can't crack the defense and the only option off the bench is Pippo-since Ibra was hurt, thus the starting trident was Robinho-Pato-Dinho. If Pippo scores great, but if he couldn't, then a lot of you will start saying he is too old-much like last year, when he can't score or can't run....and start to wish for Milan to have kept Borri, as he is strong enough to crash defense during tight game.
Berlusconi has confirmed plans to sign the Brazilian are in line as he strokes brains over a possible arrival before the end of the transfer window.
"Robinho doesn't depend on us. Milan's intent is there," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Where can he play? We have plenty of options and it's always better to have three players for two positions."

That hurts. I don't recall many people saying he couldn't score or run. Most of our complaints was the same complaints he's heard from the opponents all his career: that he's constantly offside.:musk:
Grosso for Kala is good in my books. Not because he's a spectacular player, but because he reinforces in an area where we need to reinforce, whilst lessening the load in the middle, where we have an embarrassing excess of talent.
Robinho, hurry up! I'm almost off work and I want to know before I get home whether everything goes as planned.
I'll be sad to see Borri leave, imho, he could have been our backup tank, but fingers crossed we won't lose anyone to any stupid injuries like last year.
Huntelaar, nuff said about him. Good luck, and total :respect:

Borriello should leave ASAP he knows there is no space for him
Borriello-Roma a deal is possible
Seems that Roma is ready to take Borriello on a permanent basis and this could make a difference
Finally, our "friends" can be useful 'because so far, this "good relationship" thing with some clubs was simply a joke as it meant no deal between these clubs) !!
Anyway, 3 clubs were interested by Borriello from what said his agent: Juventus (seems like it won't happen now), Roma (let's wait to see), and Manchester City.
If I were Galliani, I would ask for a Borriello-Robinho free swap ... :D
But like I'm not Galliani, I won't, and I hope Borriello will stay in Serie A. And the fact he only wants to be sold means he doesn't want to be the puppet of Milan anymore, I think in his mind, it's quite simple, it was his second chance, he took it, and now, Milan wants to replace by a better player, so he probably wants to end his story with Milan, no more chance to come back and prove what he's worth, just going in another club ...
I don't now how Roma could buy him though ...
After medical examinations being held in Gallarate, Robinho should go directly in via Turati to talk to Adriano Galliani, and probably sign a contract with AC Milan

So we loose both Boriello + Huntelaar for Ibra + Robinho.....hmmmm...well, I guess what we lose in options we gain in skill.....
My point here is that while Ibra + Robinho > Boriello + Huntelaar, we have lost the option of having a direct replacement (in physical terms) for Ibra....should he (God forbid) get injured.
FORZA MILAN regardless!!! :D....never believed that getting both players could happen in a single mercato, but it looks like its gonna happen!!
Marotta is located in Via Turati, probably to discuss the negotiations for Borriello

There is something on goal.it about cicinho+batista for boriello
I think Robinho will be ours regardless of Bori's situation. And I mean NOW, not next winter mercato. Otherwise why would he take medical tests now?

I have to agree with you. I really don't want to see Borri even try to score against us. It'd be a bit too painful to watch. Specially since he'll probably injure Sandro or Thiago in the process :P
According to reports from the ATC Executive, 15 million should be the price that Roma would pay Milan for Borriello, but Roma must first wait for the green light by Unicredit

Ryo, yes safe trip but as soon as the plane landed I was on milannews from my phone..
Beggers don't chose guys, there's only a few hours to mercato's end, let's just ship him out anywhere and I would even applaud him if he scored a hat trick against us. Borriello for Robinho is definitely an upgrade how can you guys even consider this??? I just want to see how all the Robinho haters will eat their words when he proves to be better than all of our attackers come mid-season... He has alot to prove and he will prove it.

you know what a splash would be? if we sign Robinho.....then Maicon hahahaha ok ok just kidding you know, since we still are in Utopia, let's have a lil fun before the mercato closes

So what will be the line-up with Robinho? Do you expect Allegri to go with 3 strikers? I'm thinking we are going to see one or two of Ibra, Pato and Robinho in the wing.
Sell Marco to Roma, he deserves a club like that. Milan gets money instantly, everyone is fine. Its easyer and there is no time.
What I wanted to say is:
Im dissapointed how people react, mostly. We now have a great attack, yes. And now everyone expects up to win it all! WHY? People forget how our defence is one injury away from being ridiculous again and how our mifdield cannot play against any strong midfield in CL. How Flamini is still same old wild player, how Boateng has psichological problems, how Seedorf is Seedorf, how Lecce is a serie B side and Dinho, Pirlo didnt even had a strict marker ( marker on Dinho was 19 years old I think!)
Im not saying we didnt do well, we did. Im just saying how people act like they are MAdrid fans, and this is MIlan!
Great sides are based on compactness with talent! Elections are near, Silvio buying some voices etc. Or maybe, MAYBE, Milan found some money. Galliani said: " the wind has changed..." We'll see...
Now after these superstars, Galliani pleeeease concentrate to find some 2,3 great young players that will help in midfield and on fb positions...
"Zidanes and PAvones", remember that?

I disagree for one reason: I want the best Italian players to stay in Italy, especially if they can have playing time in some clubs ...
There are also rumours of G.Rossi joining Fiorentina, I'm all for that personnally. One of the good Italian prospects could join one of the good teams (in trouble with Jovetic out), it's just perfect for Fiorentina (new first XI player), G.Rossi (first step in Italy before joining one of the big ?) and Serie A (the championship slowly becomes attractive again and more entertainment as Fiorentina is better with him than without him).
To make it short:
- Robinho in Milan
- G.Rossi in Fiorentina
- Borriello in Roma or Juventus
- And still waiting for a new star in Inter, even if it seems they won't buy anyone (they're very arrogant, it's not about money, they just want to send the following message "we won everything last year, we don't need reinforcements to win again", well, that will kill us and I'm happy with that too :D)
Star players attract star players ...

Our defence is good this year ... My only concern is about Antonini who has no proper replacement (I won't count Zambrotta as a good player anymore).
For the midfield, let them a chance, with the fresh legs of Flamini ("fresh legs" as he's injured) and Boateng, we could have a surprise this year.
And don't forget, having new players who really want to win everything (Robinho and Ibra never won CL for example) can motivate again the whole team ...

It is a good warning :D
But I think the fact is not so serious.
We have 2 "Zidane" in Ibra and maybe Robinho, but we, or more specific, Allegri hasn't used the "Pavon" like Odu or Merkel, but the "Guti" like Gattuso or KPB.
Before the "Zidane" come, we already have a strategicaly complete squad. The "Zidane" is to upgrade certain position, only bring more quality and option.
IMO, it is still early to be happy, but it is also early to be worried :D
However, after suffering for a long long time, a bit celebrating is OK :guw:

i still think that robinho deal is very important, its a transfer we so need imo!i wouldnt be concerned any more for dinho's party-life or pato's injuries..and it would pressure dinho to play like we all know he can.
mrki theres a big difference this year on our defence,we actually have depth on the cbs,i assume youre troubled about nesta's often injuries on your post..papa and yepes can play some good matches, especially yepes was awsome last year(i said it b4 we got him too..).papa if not this year, after 1-2 he'll be a gr8 cb,its obvious and he is already a decent back up..
on the medfield im totally with you, thats where i think we lack most(yes more than our fbs too imo).i am really worried about a 50+ matches season..although personally i would lie if i said i know KPB(if we let wc away i havent seen him more that 3 times unfortunatelly),i thought he could be useful..
now on grosso, guys he was waful last year, honestly the only reason i m ok with the swap is kaladze's wages and that he's a clear lb,which might be useful i guess..i still argue with my juve friends who is worse kala or grosso(dont get me wrong i say kala of course!)..

borriello for mexes + cash, sorry no can do, I believe we are covered fairly well in the back.... does this mean that UniCredit has denied their request to give them cash?
Borriello's agent: "Marotta said Boriellos deal is off? Don't believe what he says. I am working very hard. Roma's interest? I am working very hard."
and GeoTav, I think Maltese Charlie is right, market closes 7 pm Italy time and 6pm GMT. My flight will be 5:50pm GMT, if we hadn't signed Robinho by then I would have to cause a scene on the plane to delay the flight 10 minutes! C'mon Borriello get sold!
I think the Kaladze -> Genoa is us doing a favour for them... it's obviously we preferred Juventus to get him because they can pay his wages, I highly doubt that Kaladze wanted to lower his wages for anyone, so in all probability, we will paying for his wages and sending him to Genoa as we don't need him. Kinda like a favour returned for KPB.

I always thought the last day was until 23:59 and 59 seconds ... :D
So, not much time to conclude our transfers !!
And if Robinho comes on loan for one year, well, we don't care about the choice of Borriello ?
Pato, Ibra, Borriello, Robinho for 2 places, and Robinho able to replace Ronaldinho too, with Inzaghi as an impact player for the last minutes when needed ... Wouldn't it be just more than perfect ?
Borriello's agent: "Marotta said Boriellos deal is off? Don't believe what he says. I am working very hard. Roma's interest? I am working very hard."

Vulli: No need for Mexes man, we already have Yepes + Sokratis that are brand new and quite capable of taking the mantle. I prefer straight up cash (even if its around 10m) for Borriello. We will need alot of cash to invest into next years payments:
- Ibra's 8m + 16m wages
- Robinho's 15m + 10m wages
- KPB's 7m
- if we are renewing R80's new contract
- buying back alot of youngsters that are on co-ownership
let me just say that our books seem to be very unbalanced at the moment, but at mercato's end I'd like some one to do an accurate balance sheet of this years transfers. I'm curious to see how much we spent, short-term and long-term.

Xudong: lmfao I was thinking about that........ what books exactly did we have to sell him to balance them for??? I think Kaka was sold when our doctors told the management of Kaka's chronic injury. That's probably why we sold him...along with the books that must be so unbalanced right now.
mzk i think we should have included you for free in the deal with Schalke, hunter + mzk = 13 million :D
Moratti officially (and probably ironically) happy of our mercato, saying "I'm pleased, finally, there will be a great fight" ...
Eat your words, admire the cups you won last year because they are the last ones you'll get !!
Forza Milan !! Only one club in the city !!
O God please keep KJH at AC Milan. Let the transfer collapse at the last second. Plzzzzzzzzz God ..............................
The problem is Mexes has been in bad form for the last 2-3 seasons ... That's a lot.
And he always did some mistakes (few but some) in a season, generally in the moments when the pressure was high. How will he do in Milan ?
yes i understand your point 2 years may be a lot..but i can totally explain why i think mexes has been doing some mistakes now and then, a little after.in sum its his game style(always first on the ball),thats why he gets booked all the time too,but i really adore this style of defenders especially when they have a nesta or a TS on their side..roma is surely not his type,imo..anyway we're in the middle of big things,so i ll write more aboute mexes later, especially if we get him..i dont want to disturd anyone with my tactical bla-bla :cheers:this "day"..
Damnit! I can't wait to get the next version of PES!

Any slim chance of him staying. Last minute change of plans or something? I hope Robinho doesn't come so that he stays. Well I am dreaming i guess :wallbang:
Very funny very very funny. HAHAHAHA. Oh you didn't seem to be kidding, do you? My bad my bad...
Sorry man but why do you want to keep Hunter? He did not suit our playing style, he's not physical enough, he won't get playing chance, BUT he is a great player (not for us though), he could have great career in his NT and we ARE NOT to kill off his career by forcing him to stay (and not play) with us. It's for his own good.
Bye bye Hunter, you're great but unfortunately not for us. Hope you'll top Bundesliga scoring charts and become Holland starting striker ahead of RVP. Wish you all the best, thanks for one (not-so-)amazing season with us.

It's obvious there is no place for Huntelaar in the team.
Its simple Geo :bri:
- Unfortunately we have Zlatan Ibrahimovic now
- Then we have Pato (the only striker I like at ACM now)
- Borriello will be gone soon
- A trouble making machine in Robinho, who will return to Brazil in the winter transfer window as usual
& finally
- A 37 years old Flippo Inzaghi, who will score 3 goals the whole season (make no mistake, I really like Inzaghi)
So its obvious we do need another striker & KJH would be perfect.
Now please don't count Ronaldinho (or Seedorf) as strikers

Offer Oddo in the package and we will have done the perfect mercato (remember when we all said that if we buy no player and manage to get rid of the fantastic four, well, three as Bonera could still be useful, it would already be a good mercato ?! :D).

I'd be happy if Boriello remained. We need a back up for Ibra and to be fair to him, no player should be given such a stringent time frame to move to another club especialy for a player who is at his prime.

Because we have the worst webmasters in the world !!

Unicredit will loan Roma 15 million to buy Borriello... according to Gazzetta
I think Berlusconi had a word or two with Unicredit.
From www.goal.com (also on www.gazzetta.it)
According to a report on Sky Sport 24, ambitious Serie A side Genoa are on the verge of signing experienced full-back Kakha Kaladze from Milan. The report claims that the Grifone will confirm the transfer of the Georgian international in the coming hours.
The 32-year-old defender appears to be surplus to requirements at the San Siro and is widely expected to leave the club before the transfer window slams shut.
Kaladze has previously been linked with Dutch side Vitesse, while he appeared to be on his way to Juventus earlier on Tuesday. However, the proposed swap deal with Fabio Grosso eventually fell through for unknown reasons.
The former Dynamo Kyiv star hasn't given up hopes of leaving Milan though and could now join Genoa instead. Kaladze is expected to undergo a medical later today and will sign a contract upon completion.

no mexes then?
no mexes then?
Afraid not.
But given what we have, its not THAT serious.
We need a Left back and a speedy box-to-box midfielder. Everywhere else is fine by me.
I feel sorry for Borriello, who covered the space of Gila well and much much less whiny.
I also think he's useful, but we have a few injury free players in the squad, among which Ibra, Dinho... Benching Ibra is a time bomb.
I have a good feeling about Robinho's signing. Reminds me of Pirlo's, very low key, looked like a surplus sub for a superstar-Rui. I know he's not physical enough, but I believe we find Seedorf's heir.

if Dinho plays like he did vs Lecce, Noone can send him to anywhere.
