Lets be realistic we cant buy Dzeko AND Ozil but we can buy Dzeko OR Ozil.)

Lets be honest we cannot buy Dzeko & Ozil....or Dzeko or Ozil.We just do not have that financial clout .

I want to add a new name for RB... Marco Motta. He's very young and he's very talented and he played at Roma for 2 seasons now. However, Udinese and Roma did not reach an agreement and Udinese have won the blind auction for him, meaning that he could be sold.

I would say he's worth 8 million, much much better option as a RB than Otamendi and others we've been linked with. Plus he's Italian and young.

Yes actually I agree I like Motta , Otamendi hasnt really impressed me but then he hasnt really been in a test of a match , maybe we can judge him better by the Germany game. But Id jump all over Motta for 7-9 mill.

That argument would make sense if it wasn't for the fact that we stopped spending on the market long before the economic recession started. They simply took that policy a little further the last year or two using the economy as an excuse. The situation is simple, Berlusconi is just a crazy old man who has sucked dry every bit of usefulness of this team and is now implementing some ridiculous plan to save money.

its clearly ongoing. but this is a recent development, and just in time for the transfer market.

Man you really are clueless... since when do we play Antonini as rightback? Lazzari as a right winger? Thinking we're getting Sanchez one day after their prez say he on sale for 30m? Isla? Are u kidding?

Antonini is right footed, he's better at RB than LB.

anyway if Milan will continue with 4-3-3 formation than< it swill be good to sell Ronaldinho (15-20 M) Borrielo (15 Million) Hunter (15 Million)and the old players of course.
And than to buy Ozil, Alexis Sanchez (replace Ronnie) Isla/Bale and Lazzari.

----------------------------Amelia-----------------------------
--------------------Nesta--------------T.Silva-----------------
----Antonini------------------------------------------Isla------
-------------------Flamini-------------Pirlo---------------------
-----------------------------Ozil-------------------------------
---Lazzari-------------------------------------Alexis-Sanchez--
---------------------------Pato--------------------------------

Lets be realistic we cant buy Dzeko AND Ozil but we can buy Dzeko OR Ozil.
I think Ozil will be great because we need prilo replacment and we need to put Pato as Centre Forward, I think than pato will score even more than Dzeko (did you forgot that pato lwas best goalscorer in Brazilian league at age 16!!!!)

Errr... in your formation, who is Pato's subs?

Very young, for Italian NT standards. He's like, what, 26 or 27?

As I know.

There are 3 players will promoted to the first team: Simon Green (SC, 18), Rodney Strasser (MF, 20) and Nnamdi Oduamadi (SC, 19)

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=it&u=http://www.milannews.it/%3Faction%3Dsearch%26section%3D32%26&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmilannews%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1C1CHMA_en-GBAU360AU362&rurl=translate.google.com

These 3, together with Albertazzi & Zigoni are still available for Primavera but can be call when needed (Strasser is already 20, could he plays? I can't be sure).

We will not renew the loan of Mancini.

Loaning Caceres seems a good choice, Juventus has the 11M buy out, we can have a 8M and test this player for a season.

I think there is more than 80% chance we will buy Fabiano. Hunter will be sold, as Gilardino, his style doesn't suit Milan. We don't need a pure poacher. Pippo is another case because he has the experience and above all, he is special.

It is difficult to sell Ronaldinho, I think he will stay with a little pay cut. So 4-3-3 again for Milan. I'm not against this formation, we just need subs for each Pato & Dinho. Helb is good, and please don laugh, Camoranesi is not bad (better than Mancini, at least).

Best:

-------------------------Abbiati--------------------------
--Caceres------Nesta---------Silva-------Antonini--
------------Pirlo--------------------Ambrosini----------
------------------------Seedorf--------------------------
------------Pato---------------------Ronaldinho-------
------------------------Fabiano--------------------------

Pato & Dinho should play closer to Fabiano. Dinho can't play at the center, but a little close to his compatriot is not hard & fun to change.

Both Pato & Dinho like to exploit the space between fullback & centerback since they are not natural winger, with the help of Seedorf, our attack provide enough variable.

Sub:
---------------------------Amelia------------------------
--Abate---------Bonera--------Yepes--------Zam--
------------Flamini------Strasser-------Janku-------
-----------------------------------------------------------
---------Helb/Camo/Di Gennaro for 2 wings-------
---------------------------Borriello----------------------

Di Gennaro is sub for Seedorf or play on the wing. No sub for Pirlo. I prefer Yepes to Onyewu because of experience. Zam & Janku both on the left is not bad for attack (and if Dinho was there ^^).

Joe Cole for Seedorf is another option, but I think the possibility is not high.

We still have a big chunk to spend, that will be for Otamendi or a solid FB/CB if we can't loan Caceres, a good midfielder like Lazzari and a big transfer to be in the first 11.

We don't look much stronger, but without serious injuries, we can be a true challenger in Serie A and CL.

Di Gennaro is awful and belongs nowhere near Milan 1st team ever...and Motta was 24 5 weeks ago so is young.

Giovinco interests Brescia..WTF...We'll take him beggers cant be choosers.

Antonini is right footed, he's better at RB than LB.

That is not completely true.

As I know, Paolo Maldini was more comfortable with his right foot. Defending aside, he was know for cut-in, shooting when attack, not for his crosses.

Phillip Lahm is right-footer, but he play at LB very well, he play RB last season only to promote Badstuber and Bayern want to use his crosses.

If a Fullback is not good at crossing but possess pace and attack-mind, he should play on opposite flank. Given that there are much less left-footers than right ones, Leftback, Leftmidfielder, Leftwinger often are Rightfooter who can cut inside.

Flamini play LB at Arsenal.

To summarized. Favourite foot at the same flank for crossing, opposite foot for cut inside and shooting (Lahm is the best example).

Bonera can't play LB because he is old to change, after injury and he is quite slow, no shooting skill.

I don't think Antonini is a good crosser, as a former LM, he know how to cross as student know how to do math, but only so.

Leo's main idea about Abate was to use him as a LB, and I think Abate can be better than Antonini at cutting inside, but Antonini played better than expected and with Oddo & Zam both injured, he had no choice.

half time...milan should be keeping an eye on F.Coentrao of Portugal.... Forget David Luiz (who is also good), but Benfica have a true gem of a left-back in Coentrao..we should use our links with Rui Costa to get him. I've been waiting for a loooong time for a world class FB to come out of nowhere and finally I think the next great fullback will be Coentrao.

I think Fabio Coentrao has been good in the World Cup so far. He's good on the ball and has pace and could be a sound purchase. In an ideal world it would be nice to think we could get him and Van der Wiel for our defence this summer but i don't see it happening.

Realistically we could raise about 45 million through sales (Boriello, Huntelaar, Ronaldinho, Kaladze), naturally we'd have to replace some of these, but there's room to buy some good players. Maybe Allegri's enthusiasm can lead to some decent purchases.

I seem to remember a while back that Rui Costa said he'd sell his Benfica 'stars' to us. They have some good players that could be useful. I've already mentiond Coentrao, but there's also David Luiz, Ramires and Cardozo (no one seems to be talking about him much at the moment).

I know we can't afford a lot at the moment, but players are going for far more moderate prices than estimated. Di Maria went for £20 million when people were talking about him fetching nearer £40 million. Villa went for £35 million (i know out of our bracket) when others were mentioning nearer £50 million. CSKA only want £12 million for Krasic - the point is players are available for less than we think so we should be making a move for some of these guys.

Sell Kaldze, Oddo, Seedorf, Gattuso, Dida,,,

Buy 2-3 new players and promote 2-3 new players...

Hello? Dida's contract has expired and he's no longer a Milan player. Be a bit difficult to sell him.

Here is my plan. Sell Abbiati (he whines too much), and release Roma (perhaps useless), then re-sign Dida (no, I am not kidding) for a year for 1 million at most. Then promote someone younger.

... and bet on Amelia as our No.1. :D The worst, we re-use Dida for another year, and you know what, as crazily inconsistent he is, I rate him higher than anyone else (yes, including Storari).

OK. I might be crazy, :D but that's truly how I think. :)
The only crazy thing would be Amelia at #1. Getting him on a measly loan while letting Storari walk to Juve is going to bite us in the ass.

Yes I meant Sell/Release. I am glad Dida is released.. Amelia, Abbiati, Roma for this season will do, and then we'll see for future. I guess they have a lot of confidence in Amelia.

Strongly disagree man..the most impressive players in this world cup for me would be Enyeama, Villa, Bastos and Coentrao. I think he is a million times better than Cissokho.

Blacktop: yes Storari was vgood but we didn't just let him walk to Juve. 4.5m euro in our situation can be very valuable. Plus we also have Abbiati who has been rather reliable in the last couple of years. Amelia on a free loan can't hurt, he could turn out to be something, if not, he'll be benched no biggie. I just see it as if we got 4.5m euros for free, that can be prove to be vital for a cheap management like ours.

Loan Caceres and/or buy Otamendi is more realistic. We have other positions to worry about.

We are looking to sell Kaladze, and there are more than a couple of buyers interested. But he doesn't want to leave because nobody else would let him sit on his ass and collect a big fat paycheck the way we do. Galliani is letting players do whatever the hell they feel like doing, as usual.

No club pays Kaladze the wage he earns now. And if there are still clubs need him, they will get him next season for free. He can train at Milan with top equipments to retain body condition, why should he leave?

In the Millionaire Trio, Oddo & Kala are finished but Janku can still be used at DM position, it is OK to have him another year.

Watching this World Cup, the player I want Milan to buy the most is not Coentrao, der Wiel or Elia but Kuyt - a defensive forward. He can score, he can assist, he can also defend, but most of all, he moves a lot to help his team.

We need his movement, his determination.

Possession is imortant, but position is even more important nowdays.

A box-to-box midfielder who can move back and fort from CM to ACM is needed, but defensive winger/forward can not be ruled out, this is a box-to-box player on the flank.

Mourinho made Eto & Pandev did the works, why can't we copy him. In fact, Mou was not the inventor, people used this type of player long ago. Mou was just a student of Sacchi, who was the first coach put gaining possition over one on one battle, and the ideas came to his mind.

IMO, Leo tried to make Borri play so in the beginning of last season but he refused, he tried to recreate Hunter on the right flank, but the Dutchman failed because he didn't possess enough energy & will.

If Pato becomes more mature to be a world class SC, this:

----Flamini---------Pirlo----------Ambrosini-----
-------Kuyt---------------------------Borri---------
----------------------Pato--------------------------

will be great. Pato is faster and far more skillful than Millito, his finishing is not the world best, but he can gain experience. Pirlo's passing range is better than Scheijder, his longshot is good (freekick doesn't counted here :D)

Copying Mou is not fun, Borri is hard to change, Dinho may remain and we don't know how the transfer'll go, but player like Kuyt is the type many clubs need or more precisely, modern football need.

Benitez made Kuyt a defensive forward, and I can be sure he will use Eto & Pandev at this task. If we don't use, at least prepare this to happen.

For us, last season, full backs joined the attack to provide width when Pato got into the goal area, and Ronaldinho cut inside. When they did that the full backs often were free to cross, which most often happens with their outside leg, ie. the right leg for a RB.

My point is just that I think that Antonini would be even better on RB than LB. Meaning that it would be better to get a LB than a RB.

As you've said, Dinho was used to cut in, then no need for Antonini to do so, he just needed to take cover. And Dinho usually posed great threat to opponent RB & RM, so Anto's task was not too hard. I don't think he was very good there, just good enough.

We always lacked a propriated player on the right, so Abate was often exposed, that made him look bad.

Antonini may be better at RB, but I think Abate may be better at LB, too :D Who know, let Allegri do his job.

It's true what you say about Kuyt. His work rate is simply unmatchable. he works so much for the team.

But it's not just him in that Dutch team. Elia (whenever he enters the game) does the same thing. He goes all the way back and defends so deep. Against Slovakia yesterday, he was back in his own box defending a couple of times.

As a matter of fact, many teams (coaches) do it. Mourinho too as you mentioned. It's just part of modern football. And it really pisses me off when these players that make millions refuse to work hard on the field and refuse to work back and do what they are told. I personally am so over these big name as$holes that get paid yearly more money that I'll ever make in my life, yet they don't do what they are told.

As for our market, I don't even know what to think. Players are certainly available. Players that will surely improve this squad whether that's coming in as a starter or a squad player. I just don't know how hopeful we can be. But we surely, surely can't stick with these same exact players and expect much. Changes need to be made.

How sad our club has gotten that we start talking about how we should buy Kuyt...

Don't get me wrong hes a solid player and a hard worker and I respect him. But he does not fit into this system we have. He also is a starter in a team who performed terribly last year.

All of our talk here depends on whether or not we keep Ronaldinho...if we do.. this is the most likely lineup for next year:

----------------------Amelia-------------------------
Zambrotta-------Nesta----T. Silva--------Antonini
-------Flamini-----Pirlo-------Ambrosini------------
--------Pato----------------------Ronaldinho--------
------------------Luis Fabiano-----------------------

this is what our lineup should be:
-------------------------Amelia--------------------------
Van der Wiel--------Nesta----T. Silva--------Coentrao---
-------------------Flamini-----Pirlo------------------------
--------Pato------------Diego----------Ronaldinho------
------------------------Dzeko----------------------------

Subs: Borriello, Huntelaar, Lazzari, Adiyah, Inzaghi, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Abate, Zambrotta, Antonini, Bonera, Onyewu, Yepes, Abbiati, Roma

Sell: Kaladze, Jankulovski, Seedorf, Oddo....

It's very attacking but speed, flair, and strength..along with 2 holding midfielders and a solid set of CB's.. i'd love for this..but we all know it can't happen... but in my opinion this is the type of team will be needed for scudetto win or Champions League Semi, final, or Win....

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man U, Chelsea, Bayern and Inter are extremely strong now. Juventus is making their necesary adjustments and the bottom line is if we don't present a lineup like this, or similar to this, we will not be competing for anything.. that is the bottom line....

Don't know why some of you are hard on Kyut, as I would take him over Seedorf, Pirlo, Dinho and the other walking sticks in Milan any day.
He might not be as talented as the other three, but he got more heart than all of them combine and actually tracks back all the time.

NOt only am I sick of the way Berlu is running the club, I also sick of how some of the players act in a Milan jersey. NO heart, no desire, no will to compete....It seems like they don't even care any more unless it is a WORLD WIDE televise match where SPONSORS ARE WATCHING.... I could careless if Milan is struggling and not winning as long as I can see that the players are showing all they can to try to win, but sadly for a lot of the players in Milan, thats not the case anymore. TO make matters worse, a lot of you are letting them get away with it by labeling them BIG GAMES PLAYERS. You know what, beside friendly and Coppa, all games are big games, as a win over INter is 3 pts while a win over Caliagari is also 3 pts.

Elmago99

Yes correct. I was proving that a squad as I designed with players of that calibre will need to be presented if we are to do anything this year.

Now you move Pato to striker and Kuyt to Pato's position. Then you can find new guy in the middle to replace Diego that is of that calibre and I too will be happy.

But the overall point was that 3-4 changes need to be made, and that in un-debatable.

At first, I tried to make a new squad as modest as possible but just replace a player with a better one at the same position.

I thought Milan is stronger after that. Well, of course it looks stronger, and even a mid table team looks stronger that way.

So, instead of replacing the better player of the same type, I change the aproach. My goal is a team with more fluididty.

Loan Caceres with buyout clause, buy Otamendi, Fabiano, loan Helb or winger if needed for the formation are still things to do. This is the fundamental.

About 3 years recently, teams with more fluidity usually win against rigid team and always success at achieving what they need in the end.

MU won in 2008 with a winger/striker Ronaldo and 2 defensive forward Rooney & Tevez.

Barca won all main trophies thanks to 2 inverse winger Messi & Henry (sometimes Iniesta), but they also have Yara Toure/Raphael Marquez who can shift between DM and CB when Dani Alves overlap (wingback is normal example of fluidity through the flank). Of course, their squad if very very strong, but strong squad only can't win you trophy.

Inter, as we know, lost too much points in Febuary and March, they let us and Roma, the team also lost too much point at the beginning of season to close the gap. However, after using 2 defensive forwards, they retain and protect their first position of Serie A, win the Italian Cup and defeat Barca (the team they lost to some months ago), then crown the European king throne. Bayern with both inverse winger: Robben & Ribery may cause more threat, but Maicon is enough for Ribery. The French can't play on the right and the Dutch is glued on there so there was no fluidity in Bayern.

These are just examples, fluidity is creative so there is no concrete definition. However, it becomes more and more important nowadays. Well, too much fluidity will cause problems of confusing, but that another story. That is not a problem with a rigid Milan now.

Milan last season was too rigid. That was not only Leo's fault because he didn't have the players who could play like he wanted. Dinho is a forever LW, Pato caused a penalty when defending then injured himself, Hunter is a pure poacher, Flamini was a headache. Other problems we all knew, but a team with the same formation & same line-up every match can't win big trophy.

That's why I think of Kuyt - a defensive forward (after Fabiano and the loans, free players). We don't need him - a 29 years old at all cost, but we need player of his type.

@Elmago99: your best formation is still a rigid one depending on players' flair. It is very strong, no question about that. It reminds me of Brazil now.

IMO, current Brazil is still rigid. They may win this WC because national teams often lack the required players (they can't buy), but I think the chance a big team with strict tactical discipline & fluidity defeat them is higher.

I'll test my theory in the World Cup and leave the job for Allegri & Galliani. :D

Milan being heavily linked with an 8m euro swoop for Caceres. Does he have an EU passport? I know he was at Juve last year but he was only on loan from Barca, if we take him will he take a Non-EU spot? If yes, then Milan's management have been extremely poor with their decisions on the Non-EU spot.

Caceres is solid, good, and young. However for 8m, maybe with the little extra cash from Storari, we can surely get Marco Motta (and probably for 12.5 we can even get a really get RB in Van der Wiel). Probably even better with Coentrao at left back.

Galliani has recently asked the fans to be calm whilst they build a solid team. Allegri said the fans shouldnt worry as Milans squad is good as it is right now.

So far -- nothing is showing that this summer will be any different from the past few years.

We really are planning on Caceres but only if he comes at a considerable discount...same old sh1t...and Onyewu is on his way out to Chievo on a season long loan deal.

Juve are linked to 9 million players again today , it pi$$ed mo off a few weeks ago but they are not actually doing any moving....and Di Maria going to Madrid kinda proves you dont have to wait until after the WC.

I don't get the hype about Marco Motta. I mean, he's a good RB, but nothing more, nothing less. He never impressed me and I never found myself saying "What a performance !! I hope we'll buy him !!" by watching one of his games ... :dontkn:

The biggest rumour of the day is about a potential contract offer to Joe Cole ... You can read that we did this offer here and there on Internet and his agent said that he could go in Italy (without saying which club(s)).
Joe Cole is very talented, but he is also injury prone, so I hope we won't offer a too big contract if we manage to convince him.

He will want a huge contract , he wanted £120,000 at Chelsea to be on a par with Terry Drogba Lampard and they wouldnt do it , and with no transfer fee he will expect a huge contract.

That means a salary around 5-6M ?
If Milan Lab becomes again one of the most competent medical centers in football, ok, but if it's to have him injured after 3 games and out for 6 months, I think it would be a waste of money, wouldn't it ?

It seems Chelsea could get Van der Vaart for 12M ... I wonder why we don't try to get him too.

12M for a player who could be an improvement for our midfield (CM and AM), who has experience, and who will be eager to prove what he is worth after his failure in Madrid: it's the kind of miracle that happens once a year with Real Madrid only.

PS: About Di Maria, these rumours about him leaving to Real Madrid are old, so they probably started the negotiations before the WC. Same goes for Pepe in Juventus for example. The problem is when you want a player who currently plays in South Africa and you didn't start the negotiations before the beginning of the competition. In this case, if the player is a real professionnal, you'll have to wait the end of the WC for the guy.

Juventus spent 43,5M € on 4 players: Storari, Bonucci, Simone Pepe & Jorge Martinez.

A GK, a RB/CB, a LW/RW and a forward. These are all the position they need a replacement or a subtitute. However, 40M is too much, is there any mistakes?

Letting Storari go to Juventus and not trying to get Bonucci will be two mistakes we shouldn't have done (for Bonucci, the other Italian clubs also did a mistake). Both would have been useful here. Anyway, they're Juventus players now.

I'd take Ranocchia from Bari if we want another CD (if the loan of Onyewu reported here happens, we'll need another CD) ... he was simply as good as Bonucci, but he got this injury ending his season.
This guy would be the right option, in my opinion, to be our #3 CD after T.Silva and Nesta, and he could progressively, without pressure, improve to slowly take the place of Nesta in the team. So this guy is young, and he could come cheaply ... I wonder why he isn't already in Milan (like VdV) ?

But Ranocchia is young (22), he's a good promising player, he plays in a position we need and he is cheap, I think (Juv paid 15M for Bonucci, we can probably have Ranocchia for something like 8M, nope ? Or do you think he would be more expensive ?), because of his injury.

I agree he would be a great addition and about 8- 10 would be his value Id imagine , V.D.Vaart about 12-15.And these two would be good for Milan , I just think that our MGT are not even looking at them because they will cost money , they seem to want to buy 1 player for around 11 or 12 mil and get a couple of free or loan players....Again this is okay if they are good and work out but it is short sighted that they wouldnt do it , I mean 20 million would probably get V.D.Vaart and Ranocchia loan Caceres and maybe Hleb sell Hunter (its what they want) and get Fabiano thats 7 new players in total.

You know what, I was going to write almost the same thing by editing my last post (but didn't do it finally, and not entirely the same thing, I didn't go into details, just "PS: With only 20M, we could do a good mercato this summer").
Add Joe Cole to this list (rumours are about a 3 year contract offer of 3.5M/year) and it could even be a very good mercato actually, for "almost nothing".

What I read on TMW few minutes ago made me laugh (but it would be funnier if it happened to other clubs):
- Kaladze doesn't want to move because he wants to leave Milan when his contract will end (nothing new), not to play football somewhere else then, but to stop his football career with the Milan shirt and start a politics career in Georgia by coming from a big club and not from Parma or I don't know what other club ...
- Jankulovski wants to stay because his children are in a school in Milan and he wants them to end their first/second scolarship cycle (I don't know how that works in Italy) in the same school before moving ...

I believe that Cole is looking for a big payday (or so goes the talk in the papers), so that probably places this rumour in the realm of fantasy (that and the fact that it comes from The Sun). It doesn't seem as if the boss is wanting to spend any money, but then again you never know with him. I keep hoping that Italy's poor performance at the World Cup might spur him on to make some big buys...

Joe Cole close to AC Milan?

Joe Cole could arrive at Milan soon. The Chelsea winger is ready to sign a 3-year contract for 3.2 million euro net per season. It seems that he has already rented a house near Milanello.

However, the player's agent, Kevin Giess, told calciomercato.com: "I have no news. Joe has just returned from South Africa and now he will go on holiday. Many clubs are interested in him as we are talking about an international champion".

"I think there will be developments by the end of the World Cup, in 2-3 weeks time. Milan or Juve? They are both interested".

Then he concluded: "Other English clubs are interested (Arsenal?). We'll decide after the World Cup".

3.2 mil euros per season is still ok for Milan. He will add creativity in the midfield department and as written already, Milan can play with 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-3 with Joe Cole. But if possible, I would like to see Milan selling Ronaldinho, his price should be still high and buy a young(er) CM or AM.

If Milan do have interest in him and make offer, I think that the chance is big for Milan to get him. Juve is out of Champions League, Arsenal is still smaller club compare to Milan even Milan is now a 'poor' club. As long as Milan play in Champions League, a player like Joe Cole is not an impossible thing to get. But if ManU step in than Milan can forget Joe Cole. :D

Joe Cole scores 2-5 goals a year and at the most he scored 8 goals once. and he's an attacking winger... I don't know where he'd fit if we play a 4-3-3 with Ronaldinho and Pato on attacking wings...

I do, however, love the idea of Van Der Vaart & Rannocchia...

€12-15M for Van Der Vaar
€8-10M for Rannocchia
Get Caceres on Loan
Sell Huntelaar, Kaladze, Jankulovski, Oddo, Seedorf

Kaladze has also said it is not true that he refused offers for political reasons, but he refused Parma because they do not offer him any guarantees 'to be a champion'. He said Dynamo Kiev hasn't talked to him yet and he doesn't mind leaving as long as it's to a destination that he wants to go to.

I know unlikely but don't put anything past them....I know would be over the moon with Caceres , Ranochia , V.D.Vaart , Hleb and Fabiano its realistic its affordable and I want it , obviusly I would prefer Dzeko , Ozil , Ranochia , Otamendi and Giovinco but we know 3 of them cannot arrive beside Ranochia and Giovinco.

Rumours/Facts of the day:

- There was a meeting between officials of Monaco (French Ligue 1) and Milan. The first ones would want Aubameyang, which will be probably done. The second ones would like to give them Kaladze, Jankulovski and/or Oddo, and they asked about Mongongu. A new meeting will take place soon.

- We're only asking now for the money of the sale of Oliveira to Zaragozza !! They paid less than half of his price, and he was sold 12M. So we'll receive soon a bit more than 6M.

- Diniz is officially a Parma player (loan with option to buy).

- Coppola is officially a Sienna player (loan).

- Huntelaar would refuse the offers of Tottenham and other clubs because he only wants to leave for Bayern of Van Gaal.

Rumor has it that Zaragoza has not paid the 12m euro that we sold Riccardo Oliveira to them for, actually they haven't paid even half the amount. Rumor has it that the cash will be coming in very soon.

Storari 4.5m and this let's say 6.5m thats 11 million out of nothing, without even selling any squad member from last season. Oh boy it is embarassing how cheap we have become, I'm afraid it may affect me in my everyday life! Anyway, this 11million is absolutely fantastic. We still have more dead weight that can get us at the very least least another 5m combined (Kaladze, Janku, Oddo). Their wages are also close to a combined 8m per year, so that's another 8 saved. We also have Huntelaar to sell for about 15million and his wages are 3.2million so total 18.2 gained by selling Hunter for an assumed amount of 15.

Storari 4.5,
Oliveira 6.5,
Triade package, 5
Triada wages, 8
Hunter + wages, 18.2

holy sheesh thats 42.2m gained without our 20m spending budget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is difficult to get rid of players with contract, which I understand, but what's the point of renewing Inzaghi's expiring contract then?

Everyone is waiting for the summer of 2011 when so many (11?) deadwoods' contracts will "finally" expire, but you know what? Don't count on it. I wouldn't be surprised if a few months from now, Galliani would be handing out renewal after renewal to our champions. Then finally when summer arrives, Galliani will be claiming that "no sell, no buy." :5130:

Monaco doesnt want Janku or Oddo cuz Galliani is the only person who thinks that they are champions...

Regarding Honda, he is a quality and young player,so i doubt if Galliani can manage to sign him.

if we switch to 4-1-2-1-2, its impossible to do it with Ronaldinho as trequartista,we need a vice Pato, who can do contribution when Pato is missing and SS is very important for this formation, considering Pato's injuries, we had to deal with it.

We need better midfielders, our midfield means to me anti-modern football.Rosenborg's Annan would be nice pick, same goes for Boateng.Jucilei is a must for us,we need 2 BTB for midfield, then wing backs, then quality striker, all round striker.then we can compete with inter and juve for scudetto.Pirlo passed it,i dont count him as a starter anymore if its up to me,sign Hernanes and let them fight for one spot, whenever they are both in form, play them both as they can...

Jucieli, Hernanes, Özil, Honda, isla, Annan, All are welcomed here by me...

4-3-1-2

Abbiati
isla Nesta Silva Kolarov
Jucieli Hernanes Honda
Özil
Pato Luis Fabiano

Juve have officially signed Bonucci (GBP12.5Mio) & Martinez (10Mio)!
They already got Pepe & Storari
Pepe is 26, Storari is is 33 (but a GK), Bonucci is 23, Martinez is 27
On paper, this looks good for Juve....but again, it also did last year with Melo & Diego...i just hate to see another young promising italian defender sign for a rival club :(

I like Honda and a purchase like Honda will definitely increase the market value in Asia. Honda can be even better than Nakata was, he has more to his game than Nakata. Honda is definitely a better buy than Adiyiah, Sheva, and Viudez in the last few years...however if I were in charge I would get someone like Robinho. Honda is good, but I'd use our Non-EU spots only for great players.

I would rank Jucilei and a 20 goal per season young striker ahead of Honda though.

-Storari was probably the best keeper in Serie A last season and should have been Italy's 2nd GK.
-Pepe is indeed not a world class player but he has a great work-rate, he'll fit well in Juve.
-Bonucci is a very good defender imo, but I am curious to see whether he can perform on the same level next season at Juve.
Juve bought some fine players but perhaps they have overpayed a bit, at least they are trying to do something.

I think Honda is a possibility for us , though he won't come for little money. I really really really like the Japanese players because of their great work-rate and because they are so modest. ( maybe that doesn't really count for Honda but still..) I also like their CB Tulio and Matsui who already plays/played in Italy if I'm correct?
If we're going to be cheap we should start looking at these players more, too bad most of them will be non-EU.

Özil won't come cheap ( read : all the big clubs are interested, that means we can forget about him)

I also don't understand all this talk about Fabiano, give him a few more years and he is washed up. In the end we will also pay quite a bit for him I suppose? Why not splash out some more on someone for the future? A young promising forward, prices are high but it's called investing I suppose. That's something Galliani doesn't know.

There's a lot of talk about how we have become a cheap club, well I think no one can deny that but it doesn't mean we have to suck. Berlusconi needs to realise : 1. Football has changed, we've entered a new era. (in which France and Italy are behind right now) This change requires new tactics, new coaches, new staff, new techniques, new equipment, new players..
And that brings me to : 2.Changes on the field also require changes within the clubs. We need new directors, managers, scouts,.. We need to get rid of Galliani and a whole bunch.. and their old ways of thinking, this no longer works. We need fresh blood within before we can guide our club into the right direction. We need to start spending wisely, build a team with a few superstars and surround them with youth and squad players. We need to sell in order to buy, true, but we need to replace quality with quality. (Lyon does/used to do the same) It doesn't mean we're going to be a pushover club, but if we're going to become cheap we've got to do it right.

Where's the time we used to be that big AC MILAN, I always loved to see trainers' faces when their team was in our group in the Champions League. Ah they used to **** their pants just seeing our name pop up. Look at us now. We used to be number 1 in terms of medical care. We had the best facilities and surgeons, people all over the world came to Milan Lab just to hear more about our techniques and equipment. Now we can't even take care of some simple injury's. What has happened in these last few years? Has calciopoli affected us more than we thought? Is it because of Berlusconi's lack of interest in Milan? Is it because of the current economic situation? I suppose it's a combination of all those. Heh seems like I was in a bit of a nostalgic mood when typing this, I've been with Milan through some tough times already but right now I don't see too much light at the end of the tunnel. I hope we're going to have a good summer, but right now this elite club is no more.

I agree with ThrusT. Juventus really have a good plan. They have clear goal, not to immediately become the best club in the world but building a sturdy foundation.

They have a 4-4-2 master in Del Neri and will stick to it, a transfer guru who know who is the underrate & needed player.

4-4-2 is maybe an out of date formation but every formation can work with the right player and the right coach. They have the right coach, now the players. Storari, Motta, Bonucci, Pepe, Martinez will fill in the positions they need. Of course, the Juve of Cappelo in 2004-2006:

---------------------Buffon-------------------------------
--Zebina----Thuram---Cannavaro---Zambrotta---
--Cambiaso---Emerson---Viera---Pavel Nedved--
--------------Trezeguez---Ibramovic-----------------

World class everywhere except for RB (solid). It is hard (almost impossible) to build another one like that, but the players they buy and the one they have already are still one of the bests in Serie A.

They may not win the Scudetto but are true contender, and will take part in Champion League next year with great motivation.

Del Neri is another tinker man, but Juventus need a tinker man now, then replace him with a world class one. They know a good foundation is what they need the most.

In comparation with Juventus, we have better foundation, but we still have to build it stronger, step by step. Last season was with the youngsters, and now the depth for main squad. We only have Yepes & Amelia now, but there is 3 full months untill 31st August, even without a big transfer, if someone (more than one :D) like Caceres, Otamendi, Helb,... come, Milan are still on the right path.

Milan & Juventus both must close the gap between them and other top clubs befor planning to be ahead.

What foundation are you talking about?

Nesta needs to be replaced soon as he is well in his 30's and injury prone.. Pirlo is slowing down and will be finished in 2 years...
Ronaldinho is 30 and who knows how much longer he'll be around.. we're not even sure if he'll be here next season...

Ambrosini and Gattuso are done in a year or two the most....

Here's our "Foundation"

Amelia (hasn't played yet)
Abate.....T.Silva.....Antonini
Flamini
Pato

There's a lot of spots you have to fill in... esp at wing backs..and then u have to replace all those old players who are retiring soon..

so exactly what foundation do we have besides PATO??

I am jealous of Juventus getting Bonucci. I heard that they are also getting Marco Motta from Roma. Not that Bonucci or Motta are super fantastic, but they are very decent and Italian (which means higher loyalty in general). Some member has an earlier post talking about Milan's success was based on provincial players like Donadoni/Lentini/Eranio/Massaro, and I couldn't agree more.

Italy doesn't have a great number of decent young players these days, so if we were still ambitious, we should grab them before others. It is amazing and frustrating how ignorant and complacement B&G can get.

On the "foundation" topic, I think only Pato and Silva are reliable (I have always felt iffy about Flamini - hopefully he will prove me wrong). We should start scouting around and fill the other 3/9 positions with decent players like Luca Antonini or Giacomo Berreta. I miss the old time when we had the Dutch Trio paired up with 8 Italians in our starting 11. That was the only sustainable way.

Where are all those Huntelaar and L.Fabiano lovers now? Huntelaar even with the 5 minutes he had, he missed one golden opportunity, and one 100000% sure goal in a 3 against 1 situation, how pathetic is this player...

You forget Abbiati & Borriello. Astori & Paloschi can be partly counted. Pirlo's style can last long and he is the right captain for Milan. We need players like Ambrosini & Nesta for next season to at least ensure CL place, then invest more.

I didn't say we have a strong foundation, it is just better than Juve because we have more in form ones. We still need to make more transfer, and each transfer can start or give us deep can be count as plus. We must build it step by step.

Well, not a bright future, but I'm fed of being pessimist or overly optimist, just trying to support the club as a whole...

rumors say that the Italian FA has passed a law that to decrease the Non-EU spots from 2 to 1...

this is the stupidest decision the Italian FA has made. Only 2 years ago they have decided that Italy is losing it's star players to other leagues and our teams are falling behind in Europe, so they increased from 1 to 2....but now because Italy has failed in the WC (all because of the Italian FA again to hire Lippi again), they blame it on the teams not having enough Italian players. Instead of looking at how teams like Catania, Napoli and Genoa have been doing with their Non-EU spots, making Serie A more competitive, they only look to Inter who has zero Italians in their starting lineup and decide that the entire Serie A is like Inter.

Sad, sad sad decisions by this Italian federation. It is only getting worse and worse for Italian football. I think this ruling is still unofficial but it is expected to be in the next week.

IT got a lot of promising youth today, just so happened Lippi did not bother calling and usiNg them. Motta, Santon, Antonini, And Abate were all good enough to make the squad but Lippi chose Zambro(who can't even beat Abate and Antonini in Milan for play time) and Grosso.

Canna showed the world that he is only half the player he was but he still starts over Bonuncci and Gamberini.

Gattuso should not even make the squad but he did.

Cassano, Borreillo and Mario should have made the team.

I don't think IT is as bad as England in terms of lacking next Gen players but they must be given chance to play.

Buffon
Motta Bonucci Chelini Santon
De Rossi Criscito

Mario. Cassano

He was born in 1984, 26 years old now, at his best.

1m78, and feel comfortable to play at centre to mark opponent (Free kicks, conners). He made A.Gyan mad :D

He can play at both flanks with same quality.

The very least thing the pathetic Italian FA could have done is say that NEXT year we will start with 1 Non-EU, they can't say starting IMMEDIATELY, when we are in the middle of the transfer window.

Instead of taking the blame for hiring and incompetent and arrogant Lippi, they are blaming it on the Serie A clubs for having little Italians. Lippi's Italy has not only lost the World Cup but it will take Serie A down with it. Berlusconi has to interfere some how and take care of that stupid ABETE incharge. Abete said it wasn't true ... the reform is about the number of abroad players in teams, no matter they are EU or non EU. That means the extra-communautary spots won't be modified, it's just that they probably want to have a more Italian Serie A, which is, in some ways, not stupid for the NT (they already did that after a failure in a WC or Euro if I'm not wrong).

IMO, I don't see that like a solution for the NT, but if FIGC want to push the best Italian teams to use Italian players, it's their right (they probably want to avoid a new season with an "Italian team" winning CL and the NT pathetically losing then).

Could be funny to see how Inter would react with such a rule.

Fiorentina & Palermo's presidents have speaked the disagreement. I think the Lega Calcio will, too.

Europe is a community now, so Italy (maybe, I do not understand the rule) alone can not force the clubs to start or have the minimum amount of Italian, but this is the only helpful way, IMO. Limitting the Non-EU spot only help the UEFA in general :D

Geo: No you're wrong, take a look at all the news everywhere. They have decreased the Non-EU spots from 2 to 1, here are just a couple of more reports (including quotes from Galliani and Corvino)

http://www.football-italia.net/jul03d.html

Here is Abete clarifying why he did set the rule (this makes it as good as official):
http://www.football-italia.net/jul03b.html

My god, its like, they don't want to be better than the Bundesliga. It's like Italy wants to put their own d**cks up their a$$es. Stupidity in that Abete is on another level.

I hope some one interferes and fixes things. The reasons EPL and La Liga are way ahead of us are BECAUSE of the foreign players. Yes their national teams aren't doing so well but when have they ever done well? (Spain is doing well in the past 2 years actually). Having a better league, more competitive one will serve for the national team players...Italy are doing the opposite, they are trying to make it easier for the Italians to play by taking away all the competition!!

This rule will have the same effect as the Calciopoli if it will be officially implemented.

@ZvonimirBoban ,i already said that its all fantamercato, yet we need something like this to compete with Juve and inter.Do you believe if we can compete with them, with just Fabiano,Yepes and Amelia?i'd call us lucky if we can sign Fabiano though...

do you believe last year we can compete with juve, who signed the great diego, melo, grosso, and caceres; while we only got onyewu and huntelaar?

i want to have new players, but to NOT have them doesn't mean we surely lose to juve/inter. to have new, quality players just increase our chance, but by no means guarantee our victory.

Aficio: Lega Calcio president Beretta has already slammed the reports http://www.football-italia.net/jul03c.html

This rule will have the same effect as the Calciopoli if it will be officially implemented.

edit: More news can be found on http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Nazionale/02-07-2010/figc-conferma-unanime-71299062071.shtml

well you have to understand italy is very protectionist in general , and since they believe the foreigners are the problem they'll force teams to play more italian's therefore like most places in europe, they can force them to get better they'll take away the free option to allow teams to better themselfs cheaper , but what happens when you have a guaranteed spot , people will become more lazy and can even slow growth of italian players , the idea of what's italian and what's not comes in , so they believe by being more nationalist and protectionist , will force the national team to get better , if this exit means anything this will inspire the national team to become better because they " let down the country " like in 2002 round of 16 , then became 2006 world champions , you become champions by working hard and earning your spot , not by guaranteeing a spot and becoming a starter eazily ..... :5ok:

How do you think about the left back Fucile of Urugoay? The left flank looked hard as rock (though only agains Ghana and the "weak" teams: S.A., Mexico, France, S.K.) with him.

He was born in 1984, 26 years old now, at his best.

1m78, and feel comfortable to play at centre to mark opponent (Free kicks, conners). He made A.Gyan mad :D

He can play at both flanks with same quality.

He has second nationality as Italian.

We have another option besides Caceres & Otamendi, even better because both these players are non-EU.

I always like Fucile since his first days in Porto. Not a world-class IMO, but surely better than most of our fullbacks. And will be cheap too.

Long time has gone since I wrote something here, so I'll try to comment as much things as I can.

@ Elmago
The formation you're trying to impose will not work here. Neither of Van Der Vaart and Diego doesn't fit in AM role in 4-3-3. Seedorf was WAY better in defending than both of them and we all know how brutally we were exposed in midfield last year. Furthermore, Allegri isn't keen to let 3 players staying behind the ball.

About Allegri and the system. I didn't saw a much of Cagliari last season, but I've gained some information about the way they played last year.
Allegri plays 4-3-1-2. It can turn in many other formations but let's start with defense.
It's a classical defensive 4, side backs have freedom to come up but they can't stay up and forget about defense. He prefers one side back who's equally good in defense and going forward, and one who can also fit as a CB (that's why we want Caceres it seems).
For midfield, it's classical 1-2-1, but not as we used to in Milan. The man in front of defense is a DM, destroyer, not a playmaker. His main job is to protect defense. Two players in front of him are a CM playmaker, and AM who can fit in CM role and defend well (that was Lazzari). Fourth midfielder is classic trequartista, but as many players in Allegri's team, he's specific one. He must be able to help the midfield in defending, but more important he must have a movement, as his position can vary from AM, to SS/WF and even CF, everything in one game. It seems Allegri likes the play with lot of movement.
In attack, one striker is more like SS (left-side), as he must be able come deep for the ball, as well as go to the side and act as a classical CF. He has to help in defending as well. Other striker is a CF (right side), and he can stay behind the ball (the only one), but he also must be able to go to the side and to play for the team.
And now about tactical choices. As I said already, Allegri wants a lot of movement. Defenders and DM are what they are in nature, i.e. they hardly switch their positions with someone else. But from them on, it's all movement. Right CM can come back for the ball or to act as other DM. Left CM/AM can also come back for the ball, but he can also go up to act as a real AM. That way the formation can switch into 4-2-2-2. Then, trequartista, he can go a little to the right, to form AM-duo with LCM, or even more to the right to act as a SS/right winger, and that way the formation can be switched into 4-3-3. He can even go straight up to act as a CF, with strikers to the side like SS/wingers. When team defends, the formation can turn into 4-3-2-1. From the look of it, it really seems like tactical delight.
Now, all of this can look messy, so I'll make a graphical formation, with the players who can really fit in the system. I will use the players we have at the moment, as well as the players we are linked with in parenthesis.

------------------------------Amelia/Abbiati------------------------------

---------------Nesta-----------------------------T. Silva-----------------

-Bonera(Caceres)--------------------------------------Zambrotta/Antonini-

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------Flamini---------------------------------

----------------Pirlo--------------------------Seedorf (Hernanes)----------

-----------------------------Mancini (Hleb/J. Cole)------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------Pato------------
-----Borriello (L. Fabiano)--------------------------------------------------

That's about it. Ronaldinho clearly doesn't fit in this system, in fact he doesn't fit in any quick-moving system. What will happen with him it's up to be seen, I just hope Allegri won't make a mistake and f.ck all his theory to make a system for Ronaldinho to fit.

For other players linked with us, I see many people here are delighted with Oezil, well I am too, but let's not be carried away with German players playing great for NT. Klose is one of the best world cup scorers and he can't get into Bayern's first 11. He isn't a half of player for the club he is for NT. Podolski is also great at world cups, but he had to leave Bayern for Koeln because he couldn't deserve a starting place. Until I see Oezil playing that way for Werder, I wouldn't play more than 10-15 M for him.

Fucile, De Jong & Kuyt, these players really needed at Milan. The silent heros.

Fucile had 2 YCs already and will not be at semi. It is a good thing that there are very few reporter wrote about him (I've never seen one). Coentrao is a new star for LB and Uruguay is all about Suarez, Forlan or the right back Maxi Perreira.

With the arrival of Yara Toure, we may have a chance for De Jong (still quite expensive).

Kuyt is 29 and not a favourite like Torres or Gerrard, we could get him.

Rossi Givinco
Mario. Cassano

That could be the starting lineup for 2012 euro and it is allot better than the one in SA already.

You know that Juventus will have four players (out of 5) in the back right? I envy them.

The other two may not stay with them, but I won't be surprised if they end up with G. Rossi too. :( Juve has been fast and effective this summer. Whether it works out is another matter, but at least their fans could be happy for a few months.

No one here is talking about the drop in Non-EU spots from 2 to 1. This is a BIG deal by the way. This spoils everything for Serie A.

Even the corrupt Franco Carraro was much better.

When opponent shoots at our goal, he can use his claws to cut down the frame, preventing the ball getting in :D

well you have to understand italy is very protectionist in general , and since they believe the foreigners are the problem they'll force teams to play more italian's therefore like most places in europe, they can force them to get better they'll take away the free option to allow teams to better themselfs cheaper , but what happens when you have a guaranteed spot , people will become more lazy and can even slow growth of italian players , the idea of what's italian and what's not comes in , so they believe by being more nationalist and protectionist , will force the national team to get better , if this exit means anything this will inspire the national team to become better because they " let down the country " like in 2002 round of 16 , then became 2006 world champions , you become champions by working hard and earning your spot , not by guaranteeing a spot and becoming a starter eazily ..... :5ok:

Italy always does that (hoping to fix something big with something quick and stupid). Any football historian please correct me if I am wrong, but I can only remember vaguely, after the tragic exit from WC 1966, Italy had a similar move, and the result was that no Italian club could even hire any new foreigners for at least a decade, and 1970s wasn't exactly Italian clubs' golden era. Instead, after 1980s, when Italy lifted the limit and re-opened up to the foreigners, Serie A prospered again and gained the fame as the "Small World Cup".

For the record, I think this was another stupid, stupid move; and to make it worse, as Hitman pointed out, it was not just stupid, but unfair and unprofessional. They should at least have the decency to wait until the next year or the next winter window to start implementing it. So many negotiations have started and have to be halted. I don't know if it has happened to some clubs, but I wonder what will happen to those clubs that have already hired two non-EU players for the upcoming seasons?

On another side note, juventus must have seen this coming otherwise how to explain that they have got five decent players (I envy the most Bonucci and Marco Motta)? They probably knew this was going to happen, after they sent so many craps to Azzuri, they knew Italy was going to lose this way. :grinser:

@Aficio: I am sure that he could just use his claws to cut the ball right before it goes in, but he might be called for handball and may get red card + PK. :D

I won't be terribly sad if he comes. In fact, I think he could still help us much, though I was and still hoping for better ones. Now with the stupid change in non-EU policy, I think our transfer is even more doomed. :stress:

Milan sacrifice Ronaldinho for Ibra?

Milan could be willing to part with Ronaldinho and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to raise funds for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Keisuke Honda.

Vice-President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the Rossoneri are interested in Ibra, but “we must sell before we can bring in any new players.”

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the two stars sacrificed to bring in the Swede will be Huntelaar and Ronaldinho.

The Dutch striker, currently at the World Cup, flopped in his debut Serie A season and is surplus to requirements under new Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

After turning down Fenerbahce, it’s reported Huntelaar could be talked into accepting a transfer for Bayern Munich worth €15m.

The rest of the cash for €40m-rated Ibrahimovic would be raised by selling off Ronaldinho, who has not yet extended his contract amid a row over wages.

The clubs willing to splash out the personal terms he requires include Manchester City, LA Galaxy and Olympiacos.

Barca will have to shuffle it's deck just to fit in Fabregas. I guess thats why Barca are saying we will not go crazy for Fabregas, if they dont want to lower their demands we don't need him.

I say, let's start talking about him here and then the press in a few days will write about him(always happens with MM)...that might give ideas to our management..

Joe Cole will not be coming to Serie A, he is only saying that to drive up his wages offer from Man Utd and Arsenal.

As for Ibra, he is too expensive for Milan and I just don't see Berlu selling Dinho to fund Ibra. The team I see him heading to is actually Juve, as they are spending money while still have players that Barcelona want in Poulsen and Tiago.

I cannot believe rumours about Ibra at all.....He is really expensive and while its seems do-able we'll be spending 13 million for 4 years on his fee and wages which basically 13 times our budget these last few years ....Berlu and MGT are happy with our squad I think they want rid of Oddo, Janku and Kala but its really 2 years too late to be honest.Allegri isnt going to make demands he'll probably think i'll do my best finish 2nd or 3rd and when that happens he'll be gone like Leo...IDK it could happen.

It wasn't too long ago we said if Leo leaves at the end of the seson then we know MGT will have no plans to sign players get rid of the deadwood etc... And it happened and now I am supposed to believe that they are going to sign Ibra or Fabiano and Honda ??? Actually, no.
It's even the contrary ...

Wolfsburg always said they don't want to sell the player. Dzeko had a 35M option to leave: no club tried to get him for that price.
2 weeks later, Manchester City comes with 40M, but there is no more option in his contract, and Wolfsburg refuses.

I'd say it's quite logical ... Now, Wolfsburg knows that some club could be able to spend a lot of money for the player and they set an asking price, higher than what they asked previously, for him.

This way, they can only win: 50M and as a consequence, money to complete/reinforce their team, or they keep their best striker.

Dzeko signed contract with Wolfsburg until 2010 some years ago. In summer 2009, his all about he wants to go to Milan, but Milan can't provide asking 25 M. Then, Dzeko signes another contract with Wolfsburg until 2013, and by doing that he makes his price tag 30+ M. It's like he makes sure Milan won't buy him. That sounds stupid. But believe me, the man who's got that far starting from Bosnia isn't stupid at all. There must be something about that contract that makes him available to Milan.
Also, they've rejected 40 M from City, now the price is 50 M, well they'll surely reject that also, that's all bull****. It's like they don't want to sell him for any price and he's raring to go.

Wolfsburg do not want just money because they are not poor and in a ambitious plan. However, they like a lot of money. That's economic.

They are not the right one to negotiate with current Milan.

Let's Man City do it. It will be fun if City would be as strong as Chelsea, they are not very different.

After World Cup, there will be more serious news for discussing.

Actually, now I tend to believe Dzeko is going to stay at Wolfsburg. It's obvious they are not planning to sell him (unless somebody goes crazy with an offer), and they are already improving their horrendous defence - they bought Friedrich, and Kjaer from Palermo.

Our players are still in holiday, I think we do not have a new season squad now.

About Roma, as I saw in transfermark.de:

http://www.transfermarkt.de/en/ac-mailand/kader/verein_5.html

The end of contract is unknown. IMO, there is chance that we have an option to renew it, but it is still early to do so.

According to the bald goon he'll be staying.

I think last year, some people began to think that Berlu and Galli will not be spending money till all the old guards are gone. Which is stupid since the team will struggle.... A year has passed and some of those old guards are gone, Dida and Favalli, their replacements, a loan deal for Amelia(while selling Stoari-best keeper in Serie A in 09-10 for 4.5M), and Yepes(34 yrs old) to replace Favalli. Instead of recalling Polashi or signing a striker, they extend the contract of Pippo for another year.
NOw they are willing to sell Oddo, Kala, Janku and even Gattuso. All players whom did not play much in the 09-10 season due to injuries or just pure crap. Then instead of working hard on packaging these players, they complain about the players not wanting to leave and want to stay and prove themselves.... Which are all BS, since no real teams actually want them, and if a team do, that team actually want Milan to pay for part of their salaries. That seems to be fair from my book, since the players that are on the transfer market are really crap.
Point is that by 2011 summer, almost all the bad contracts will be gone, Milan will then need 6-7 ready players to fill as those players who stayed will be a year older. The end of the tunnel is as dark as it comes. Really don't know how people like Berlu and Galli get to where they are today with no hindsight.

Muppets http://www.football-italia.net/jul04v.html .....so 7.5 million a year for 4 years is way out of our budget great.

So far this mercate we have got the following statements.

1)A big star transfer will arrive
2) No one will arrive
3) We have 30 million to spend , 20 for first team , 10 for youth
4)We have no money
5)We will have to sell to buy (we sell Storari for 4.5 million...still have no money)
6)We have to get rid of a couple of last years squad to bring in new players...Dida , Favalli , Storari , Mancini gone still no room for signing actual good players players....Yepes and Amelia is a cop out just cos they were free
7)We cannot afford any big signings (big semmingly being 7 million +.
8)We are not in transition and will remain the same as last year with the squad that fought for the scuddetto right until the end....didnt realise that the season ended on week 29.
9)We won trophies right up until 2008.....you see this crap no we didnt our last trophy was December 2007.

The crap that comes out of there mouths....now I know some may say its tactical so teams will not screw us finacially , but I cannot believe it when it comes to B&G they are even lying about the history of the club now.

I never buy that crap when a team GM or Pres or Manager say they team is fine...and does not need new players.....as a way to drive down the prices on their targets. Since if that's really the case, they would not be calling TEAM B and asking them for one of their players.
I mean, lets say I am the manager or GM or Pres of Pool. B & G just said Milan is fine and no need to get new players as a way to drive targets' values down.... then a week later they called me and asked if I would sell Torres(listed at 40mil) to them for 20mil, b/c they don't need Torres as their team is perfect....I will tell them to F OFF, right away. IF you really don't need something, why go shopping?

I know Juve failed big time last year, but at least we see their GM/Pres are working on improving their team instead of stating their team is fine.......

They will never deal with us face 2 face so they are happy finishing 3rd and getting to the CL league knockout stage without having to spend this will not happen this year as I think that we will find it very hard in Seri A and CL.You see how tired our team gets Pirlo Ambro Nesta key areas Pato is made of glass Hunter + Pippo cannot Score Borri is a 10 - 15 goal a season man.Dinho tires aswell alot in games after 60 minutes. And then We have Gatusso Kala Oddo Bonera Janku who are useless and Seedorf who can only manage 20 minutes at the end of a games....And we dont need a few new players B.S.

I think we have honestly maybe 7 usefull outfield players this season and there is ? over some of them. Its really frustrating as with the 6 or 7 contracts ending next year I think that only Kala Oddo and Janku will be gone , and then probably we will operate with a squad of 23 or 24 players and will be told it is enough to compete. They'll be happy 3 less wage bills.

Thats why it was a smart decision to stop spending money on AC MILAN products after the sale of Kaka. I think if you are true Milan fans, you should stop it too. Then it will show Berlu that he sucks....

That now issomething im wondering ,Sheva sale Kaka sale Gila sale Oliveira sale , Gourcuff in the last 4 years was 146 million in that same we spent 60 million 60 million for those books. And Berlu constantly says in the last 5 years he spent 50 million each year from his own pocket.250 million out of his own pockrt is lies. And selling Storari is it that they would do anything to get some money and selling one of the best keepers this past season knowing that Amelia would come for free.

I truly do not give a crap about what Galliani says. This has been Milan's policy for years now. B&G sees players as gods and need to be treated accordingly; meanwhile they see the fans as a bunch of headless idiots that need to be manipulated for their benefits. B&G never really cared about what the fans think about anything. They only sign star players and boost team talent level for other purposes. Galliani's words are as bad as the smell of a pile of dog crap and the same can be said about Berlusconi. All Milan fans should just ignore those two. Maybe if we ignore them long enough, they'd at least learn to shut the hell up.

An interesting fact, Ibrahimovic and Balotelli have the same agent. Hope something could be in the works that could get Balotelli here. Sampdoria will take part in CL this season so selling him is very unlikely. However, I think he is the best option for replacing Ronaldinho. He can be a support striker to help Pato or can be ACM in 4-3-1-2.

I don't see Paloschi or Astori renewing their co-ownership as bad in either case.

With Paloschi, he had a transitional year, and he complained about a growth spurt and injuries that compounded his season to be a tough affair. I don't see why giving him another year to grow would be a bad thing. We probably want to see how he does this coming year to determine whether he's worth the haggling that Parma will give us, since it seems their organization is keen on Paloschi. I don't think he would get a look in this year anyways, so I don't see the problem.

I would not doubt that Astori's renewal of co-ownership facilitated Allegri's arrival to Milan. That's fine. Give him another year, and at least it gave us Allegri.

Selling Storari for the money we sold him at was something we had to do. He's a 33 year old goal keeper, and I don't see that much of a difference between him and Abbiati. Plus, I like giving chances to players like Marco Amelia. I wish we made more signings like that.

While many here are saying that we will be losing several useless players after next year, meaning that we need to replace them, it seems that is a pretty logical conclusion here. Youth are clearly going to be filling in these gaps. Plus, since these players are useless anyways, youth would be an upgrade, right?

Again, we're in July. Yes, it is very possible that we end up with no one and just our "champions," there is also the chance that with Allegri we might get some different things. The possible departure of Gattuso, Dida and Favalli, and the increasing drama with Oddo, Kaladze, and Jankulovski seem to underline the shift that Milan is heading towards.

I don't see why we're not linked with Giovinco. That is a player that we should be clearly going after. Especially in light of Revolver's great tactical break down of Allegri's style a few pages back. Furthermore, in light of Revolver's tactical analysis, it would seem, with Milan's current players, that Milan would line up more like this:

-------Marco/Abb
Zam--Nesta--Silva--Anto
---------Flamini
---Abate--------Ambro
----------Pirlo
-----Pato-----Borriello

I don't think transfer targets can even taken shape without Allegri assessing his squad, or what he wants. I doubt that this process is finished yet, but I also think that the one thing that many wants, Ronaldinho gone, is something we cannot afford.

First, Ronaldinho brings a lot of recognition to Milan. A lot. Pato is not ready to be that star, and no other star that we have is that marketable. Furthermore, if we want to keep Pato, we have to keep Ronaldinho. After last year's performance, I don't see why we would shun Dinho. I think that in the right environment that he can play well again, and there were times where he played well from the center.

This should be the year that we finally get our wish to see our youth products play. De Vito, Romangoli, Albertazzi, Beretta, Hottor, Adiyiah, Zigoni and Verdi should play more this year. Of those players, De Vito and Verdi seem to be the most likely to have some impact. Adiyiah played well against Uruguay, and yes he missed his penalty, but he all most won the game for Ghana. For a 20 year old to come on and not seem over awed, I was impressed. Perhaps this kid has a future?

Ultimatley, Milan's strategy is for youth and that's something we've asked for. Well, it looks like we're getting our wish. Especially since Milan's website published a whole thing about how great the youth is doing. I mean, they won the Coppa Italia, that has to count for something, doesn't it? They are a good group and our lower levels seem to actually be producing something.

I think it will be pretty clear how our summer is going to unfold pretty soon, and using Juventus as some sort of barometer is not exactly the best. I don't think Del Neri is a particularly good coach for big sides, and its obviously not just about the players, its about the chemistry and the club's environment. Many times us arm chair managers forget that.

Honda may come thanks to Fly Emirates as they want to market to the asian market more. An interesting option who may fit into Allegri's plans quite well.

Firstly, I want to say that despite him playing as a forward for Japan during the world cup, he is most definitely a midfielder imo. I think given that Allegri likes 4-3-1-2 and has already alluded to Dinho playing more centrally, so we could see something like...

-------------Amelia/Abbiati----------------
Abate/Zambrotta-Nesta-Thiago---Antonini
-----Flamini/Ambro-Ambro/Pirlo-----------
----------------------------Honda-------
-----------------Dinho/Pirlo--------------
------------Pato-------------------------
---------------------Borriello-------------

I've tried not to assume too much about our lineup as I want to see Allegri's ideas on how to use Pirlo, Flamini and Ambro. However, Honda has an ability to drive forward and could be useful on the left of midfield. Japanese players are usually well disciplined too and he doesn't seem to be an exception, so defensively he should be sound. Factor in the fact that he used to play LB making this role easier for him to interpret, we could well find ourselves a very useful midfielder for the new season.

Christian
05-07-2010, 08:42
It would make some sense if Fly Emirates would help finance the purchase of Honda. Would be an excellent move, he's probably the biggest Asian star at the moment, and a fantastic player. Look how much having Park has helped Man U in the Asian market, perhaps something similar could happen for us with Honda.

He's a guy who's impressed in both the WC and the CL this season, and the fact that he can actually run would be a welcome addition.

IMO, the best way for Dinho to remain is playing as a forward.

He can dribble, shoot, cross, make through pass and head. These are all the requirements.

Pato wants him to stay and we want Pato to stay.

As Revolver wrote about Allegri's tactic, I think Dinho suits the left forward who can move to the left or play deeper to get ball.

Pato will play highest and move to the right when needed.

If Allegri plan to play so, Borri must adjust himself a lot to play the LF. Hunter will have the hardest training to be more all-rounded player.

Player like Kuyt and Cacau will be great assess if we want to play more dynamic. And Cacau is still free. I think he will be replace for Thomas Müller in the WC semifinal.

AC Milan Set To Make Bid For Fulham Midfielder Clint Dempsey - Report
The USA star could be on his way to Italy...

Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey is said to be on the radar of Italian giants AC Milan, according to reports emanating from Italy.

Yahoo! Sports reports that the USA international, who was a star for the American team at the World Cup finals in South Africa, could head to Milan in the summer.

Dempsey had a marvellous season with Fulham in 2009-10, helping to guide his side to the Europa League final, which they lost to Atletico Madrid.

A Milan source close to the club board has been quoted by Yahoo! Sports as saying, "[Dempsey] brings a lot of action and energy but he can be creative too. There are some options on the table but Dempsey is a realistic one. A bid is very possible, and soon.”

However, a source close to Fulham said that no formal bid has come in from the Rossoneri but added, “[Fulham] are aware that if a club like [Milan] comes in it's hard for a player to say no."

Our best hopes lie in Allegri being a tactical genius, and a coaching guru with youngsters.

I'm hoping he can see that Strasser, Verdi, Oudamedi, Albertazzi, Romangnoli, Adiyah can give more to the team than Rino, Inzaghi, Zambrotta, & others who are still on the good books of the management.

Our real problem last season tactically was the lack of any pressure from our forwards when we lost the ball. If that happens this season then we'll have another poor season.

Gabriel489
06-07-2010, 02:05
I thought our problems was mainly the lack of movement from players in the second half of the season. Esp., when they needed to play 2 games in a week more frequently.

Personally, after Carlo-anti youth, and Leo-a bit better, as he did used Abate and Antonini more, with mostly youth in the Coppa. I really doubt the youth of Milan are good enough at Serie A level or just not ready yet. Ofcourse, they are probably better than guys like Oddo, Kala and others.

Considering De Vito is the only Left footer LB in the system and yet Leo did not call him up, or Verdi the only natural RW/RM still did not get a chance to play when both Pato and Beck got injured.

Anyhow, still rather see Milan lose with young players than those walking zombies.

Tony75
06-07-2010, 02:18
Ì refuse to believe that only in Italy are the youth not good enough.

They get enough chances in other European countries, some fail, some succeed.

We've produced imo about 10-15 players in the last 10 years or so who haven't been given a chance. Instead we've signed mountains of foreign crap wating millions.

Until they get a proper chance the way Barcelona and other big european clubs give their youths a chance, they'll never be good enough.

It might take them a few games to lose some nerves, to play more naturally, but it'll come and Milan can look forward to a season with some players of potential instead of last paycheck players playing for nobody but themselves.

The thing is, I am sure there are some great young IT youths. Mario, Bonnucci, De Gilge, Marchiso, Santacroce, Racchaonia, Santon, Givinco, Rossi, Macheda and even Polashi.
My point is that Milan youth might just not be good enough yet.

I don't think IT youths are as bad as those in England but at least youth in England gets a chance to play in meaningful games while youths in IT don't, even in small clubs.

I must say I'm nervous about this summer's rumours. Klose, Cole, Otamendi and now Dempsey aren't names that fill me with much confidence.

Ì refuse to believe that only in Italy are the youth not good enough.

There are plenty of good youngsters in Italy, but they are often overvalued too early and so big clubs look elsewhere for quality youngsters, not giving them chances. Without experiencing a high level of football, most disappear into oblivion and never live up to expectations.

Gabriel489
06-07-2010, 03:05
Esp, young IT defenders. Not long ago, guys like Bonera, Legro, Zaccardo, Baraghi, and Moretti were all praised as the next Nesta, Canna, Cap, but all of them just became good squad players.

I believe that if the player is good enough, they should start and play regardless of age. I mean, if a 17yrs old is good enough to play at the highest level, whats wrong with playing him?

Tuesday 6 July, 2010 - http://football-italia.net/jul06g.html

Inter striker Mario Balotelli could eventually end up at rivals Milan, according to the player's agent Mino Raiola.

The 19-year-old's future looks anything but certain at the moment with this morning's La Gazzetta dello Sport even claiming that Inter would prefer to sell him rather than Maicon.

Speaking to Gr Parlamento, Raiola said: “Balotelli's situation is calm. He is an Inter player, but anyway I don't believe that there are unsellable players in the world.

“If Inter were to tell me that Balotelli is for sale and therefore becomes sellable, he would be [available] to all clubs. If Inter want to sell him and Milan can acquire him then it can be done.

“I repeat, when the club says that a player is for sale, he is so in absolute. There mustn't be limitations. If Inter want to sell him and Milan are available I don't have any particular distaste [in doing it].

“For me, it's not impossible. But it's difficult considering the figures Inter would ask for to sell him to Milan.”

But they (MGT) didn't sell Ronaldinho or Pato my god we must be grateful for that...Im happy now no need to worry we escaped that one dodged a bullet PHEW!!!!

Is this actually really those miserable son's of b1tches thinking its shaping up to be a great summer.I like the Honda rumours don't mind the Ballotelli and Ibra rumours...Wouldn't of minded Fabiano or Otamendi , but it is looking all to familiar with the usual sh1tty comments from DUMB & DUMBER but thats to be expected.
They say we have no money where is Storari's money ??? Fly Emirates money that about 10 million a season is it ??? and 2008 we would change the team in 2009 (well make it competitive few signings ) In 2009 change in 2010 ....now its 2010 we'll restructure in 2011...we cling on to hope fair fuk's to us.

But they have no intention of signing the 5 or 6 players we really need quite badly. The money situation is bothering me apparently we have none but we sold Storari and Emirates give us money but we have none very odd.I think Hunter will be sold for 15 million and that money too shall do a Houdini.

There are a lot of rumours surrounding Eder of Empoli today as apparently we asked about him about a month ago. I can't say I've seen much of him, but he seems a fairly small and technical forward (maybe an alternative to Pato?).

He is 179,5 tall, same as Pato. He scored 27 goals in Serie B last year.

A good addition, but who will go? Hunter?

I think I think Eder is also free of contract and he scored 26 goals (11 pens) out of an impressive number of games (i think 28 or 29 games)...

but I never knew Pato was 179,5...that's quite tall...i thought he would be 170cm max....

Aficio: no way Milan will spend 24m on Honda...I believe CSKA got him for 9, Milan and Honda can prolly push for a 15-18m move (max)...but keep in mind if he comes, that means he will be our only Non-EU player this summer... ie, no dzeko, jucilei, robinho, nothing....

Geo: Diarra I said was the best at that time, because he was doing the work of 6 players! He was all over the field ALL the time, winning balls, creating attacks... I cannot explain it, but the effort he puts it in (with a good end result) is remarkable.

call me mad or crazy or even stupid, but i think milan should sell Pirlo. I think he is replaceable now and he is worth at least 18mil. i remember a few year back seedirf saying he wants to finih his career back in holland for ajax. how about a str8 swap and like 2 -3 million now, since he isnt getting younger. seedorf and 2-3 mil for van der wiel.

oh and i want balotelli hear insted of ibra. i would take mancini back if thats the only way to get him.

and do i really have to go trough another throphy less year. im sure not winning is costing Berscu alot more than the amount he isnt willing to invest.

Juve already signed Bonucci, Motta, Storari, Pepe and Martinez.
Departed: Canna and Tiago
Possible departure: Trez, Camonesi, Amauri, Diego, Poulsen, Melo, Zebina, Gyera, and Grosso
Under 30 players: Marchiso, De Gile, Givinco, Chellini and Sissoko
Over30 players: DP, Buffon, iqunta, and Zentti.

Milan signed Yepes and Amelia
Departed: Storari, Dida, Favalli, Beckham and Mancini
Possible departure: Kala, Janku, Oddo, Gattuso, Dinho and Hunter
Under30: Pato, T.Silva, Abate, Borreillo, Antonini, Oneymu, Bonera and Flamini
Over 30: Abbiati, Ambro, Pippo, Nesta, Zambro, Pirlo and Seedorf.

Milan is in CL with a transfer budget of 20mil, while Juve is in Europa and already spent 15mil with more signings to come.

Makes u wonder what will happen to Milan if they get kick out in the CL during Group Stage.

We have 20 million budget ?????? really I was honestly under the impression that we had nothing sold Storari and still had nothing.Got 15 million off Emirates and still had nothing....well thats what they are saying , and we are lucky Dinho + Pato were not sold.Last year we sold Kaka and Gourcuff for almost 90 million eur0 paid of 60 for books (or so we are told) and signied Huntelaar for 15 million over 3 years thats 5 million out around 30....I aint expecting anybody and I mean anybody this mercato.

Galliani: "Milan fans should be thankful we haven't sold Ronaldinho and Pato to pay up the wages for Jankulovski, Oddo, Kaladze and Pippo. We cannot spend like before, fans must understand that times have changed."

Is this true ?????? if so then fukoff and they are scum.

yeah galliani said that, its on goal.com (italian version) with quotes

I am doubtful that Galliani said that. Goal.crap isn't exactly reliable, what's more, why would Galliani mention selling Pato/Dinho to fund Pippo's wage? He was the one that just renewed Pippo's contract a month ago. I doubt that he is that stupid (saying that).

I hope that someone actually knows Pippo's wage in his new contract. I would hate to see another astronomical figure.

Yeah. You know, it's great to lurk in Juve fan forums and read some opinions about how they failed to get the new Nedved - Milos Krasic, many asking who the heck is Jorge Martinez, how to keep borrowing players like Motta as with Candreva make the club doesn't seem great, swearing why buy Pepe when they have Giovinco and how fool that a club like Bari can be rumoured to be interested in him... it's relaxing there, man.

At least they have plan and a will to improve their team. Every transfer has possibility to a fail or a success. There are so many influences for that. I think, what we must see (at least for me) that they want to upgrade their team, they want to make their team (much better). Inter in the past spent crazy moneys and fails and we laughed at them (me too :D) but in the end they were the one who laughed.

With Milan they give the responsibility to the coach since the plan of the management was and is not clear. Last year we succeeded with the transfer we made (actually the coach and the team played the most important role for that success) but that doesn't mean our plan last year was better or much better than Juventus.

So, what plays is who laughs last. :)

Galli should not say lucky for us Dinho and Pato are staying. Dunga is the one we should thanks, as If they were chosen and did well, Berlu will sell them for an inflated price and stated that they need to balance the book again.

I actually believe Milan will sign that big striker from N. Korea and state that he is a better player than Honda.

Sign Camonesi and Grosso and claims they are world class and champions.

Somehow manage to sell Oddo, Janku and Dinho. And claims that those money are put aside for 2011 summer as the prices of players had gone up too much due to the WC.

Wouldn't mind Dempsey coming in as he seems to be atleast a realistic option.... VERY eager to see Gatusso shipped out to the middle east and Ambro play a lesser role in the future.

I see Clint Dempsey (and no I certainly don't think he is another messi/kaka) as a better alternative to the ageing Seedorf.

Would also be very glad to see Addiyah on loan to a club like Sunderland....Minus the buy-out clause. Especially wiht Inzaghi still hanging about.

So our Goalkeeping department has been temporarily sorted out and our Centre Back options are extended with Yepes and Onyewu who is nearing full-capacity.
Only things left on the list is a decent Full-back and a new midfielder. Contrary to most, I feel selling heavily for a star srtiker is unnecessary.

I'm guessing Grosso/ Carceres for Full back will arrive and Dempsey for our midfield. I feel Carceres on cheap (seems unlikely as Barca may play hardball) and Dempsey would be a good outcome.... Your thoughts?

Today we're linked mainly to Balotelli (given the recent comments from Raiola) and Sakho's been linked too.

I would absoloutely love to see Balotelli in a Milan shirt (even if it means we need to try and curb his attitude), but it's highly unlikely unfortunately. Sakho is interesting as I've heard good things about him both as a CB and LB. Again, he apparently has an attitude problem.

Sakho is young: 20.
He's strong and tall (almost 1M90). He started his career in PSG in 2007 (at 17) and was, at his first game as a starter in Ligue 1, put in the role of the captain of the team. I don't know if he is still the captain of Paris anyway, I don't think so, but he's one of the favourites of the fans in this club, and it's quite difficult to be loved there nowadays.

I never heard about attitude problems with him, but it wouldn't be surprising regarding the situation of Paris in the last few years (problems with supporters, with coaches, with the head of the club, with medias, with ...). What I mean is that if he had some attitude problems, in a proper environment, it could be solved I think.

I didn't mention that he is one of the big hopes in France for the defence (a good defence is what France hasn't had since the WC2006).

His contract should end in 2012.

PS: I seriously think this guy needs to leave Paris, he won't explode nor become the "next big thing" in defence for the French NT is he stays for too long in Paris because this club is simply one of the worst ones for players to exploit their potential. So if the guy has some kind of ambition and wants to improve, I think he needs to go, and I think in Milan, he could learn a lot of things and quickly become a wall for the opponents.

Thanks, that sounds really promising and I've heard us linked to him many times in the past half year or so.

Yeah its slow this summer real slow like last year maybe even worse as it isnt a rage filled mercato (we were mad with kaka and gourcuff leaving...being sold)
because this year we all thought for sure that 40 or 50 mill would have to be spent that Dida Favalli Rini Pippo Kala Roma Janku Oddo and Zambro would probably be gone well it hasn't happened and only Dida is gone with Favalli and they have already been replaced and old timer and a way out of form Keeper in Amelia....I dont want to get mad and say MGT dont care nothing will ever change we'll finish 9th and the sky will fall.

But its looking like the same old sh1t again. And next season will be hard alot harder than this , even names now of players who are only average - good and cost between 4-7 million are getting us excited and even thats a fantasy (so sad). Our youth aswell I mean lets be honest it isnt exectly Ajax or Utd in 90's or Barca of late.
These guys im fairly positive will not go on to be as good as Maldini , Baresi ,Albertini , Sheva , Kaka , Pirlo , Tassotti etc...just named some great players we had wasn't suggesting they came through our youth.

I thought it would be interesting to see where we would go this summer , but it isnt because nothing is happening and the day's and weeks a going by and i can't see any change now.

For me, if we want a midfielder, then get a DM to replace Ambro and Rino along with Flamini. A modern midfielder who can protect the back four but start moves and move forward. Jucilei or Kwadwo Asamoah are my picks to really strengthen the engine of our team and have a starting point to build on this mercato.
