Maggio or Sammarco 100% one of them is player ours for next seson!Abate are in also like exchage or simular.
From reports on Calciomercato, we would have taken an option on Miguel Veloso by selling Grimi ... good news as some people were crying that our club wasn't interested by this player (now they can stop crying again and again like babies because they don't have what they want).
Nothing official anyway.

About the GK position, why dont we take a look at Carlos Kameni from Espanyol? Great goalie, he also holds a french passport and Espanyol needs money badly.
Is he the cameroon player. If so, goalkeeper isnt a position where we can afford to have him dissapear for African nations.
It was a bad translation of Galliani's words.
Galliani was disappointed because the other leagues have advantage over serie A (he mentioned the taxes and the 1 non-EU player rule)
What he said was that with two non-EU players leaving Milan, 2 non-EU players should replace them. But due to the bad rule about buying non-EU players outside Italy, Milan can replace only 1 of them with a non EU player.
The whole point of that interview was to criticize (rightly, may i say) the FA.

Thanks it was the hypothesis (mistake in the translation) I put on the forum when they translated that but it seems like nobody believed me !! lol
Why Milan didnt bid for Amelia yet? we would easily sign him...
damn Galliani with his "Abbiati, Kalac, and Dida our GK's for next season"
I mean come on, you have one of the most promising GK's in the Italian Serie A, ready to leave... and we dont even try to buy him :wth:

i watched how young moutinho play in world cup 2006 (or the qualification). i must admit that he didnt impress me at all.
for veloso, i havent watched him yet fully 90 minutes. i'll pay attention once scolari put him on the pitch

Amelia is so overrated in fact have you heard anything about him this season? If he was so good all big teams would be fighting to get him but i don't see that happening. There is a reason why no one is even interested in him let alone buying him.

well you must still consider that he is very young, and at WC06 he was only 18 or 19, and was easily over shadowed by Portugal midfield of Simao, Ronaldo, Tiago etc. but however he has great potential, ad to me as in my signature, i consider him the next RUI COSTA, and Rui costa was my favourite player for a couple of years.
Veloso is also a great and unique player, only problem to me is his position, though he is versatile to play many midfield and even defending positions, his best position is DM, but i would still love to have him. If we get Veloso maybe we can start playing Pirlo as a CM or maybe even an AM occasionally, but with Veloso, Gattuso, Flamini and Ambrosini, there is no place for emerson and brocchi, so galliani, make it happen.
to me Joao is the better option, just because of his position, it would be easier to play him as a Direct sub for Kaka or seedorf, providing we use 4-3-2-1.
EDIT: However, this was not to my knowledge, but Wikipedia has veloso as being able to play LB.

About Mountihno i would also say that i had see him 3 times this year and he didn't impress me too.
As for Veloso i has see him only 1 time and he didn't impress me too.
Well 1 game is only one game wich means nothing, he might wasn't at hes best for the current game, but moutinho din't impressed me even in 3 games.

As many times i had watched Kameni with Espanyol i haven't seen a game from him without making any big error in .He is good but he makes many stupids errors.
I would choose Akinfeev over him. And we will see him in Euro 2008 with Russian national team.
Mourinho said some good and professional things today. He was only arogant in England there its all just circus. Now we will all see that Jose is a brilliant coach. He said that he wants 2 GK and 21 player to have a complete squad. Smething Gattuso, KAka' and some of our players were talking about.
So far we have: Abiatti, Oddo, Nesta, Kaladze, Bonera, Maldini (?), Jankulovski, Pirlo, Gattuso, Flamini, Ambrosini, Kaka', Seedorf, Pippo, Pato, Boriello. That is 16 normal players that a club like Milan can count on. Players like Simic, Brocchi, emereon, Favalli...are useless and are not real aquad palyers. Milan, to have a complete squad that can play long season football needs 4 or 5 more good aplyers in different positions. Names are not important here, I just want you to see that we seriousely lack few players.

you guys are all over reacting, i watched almost all (didnt see the last napoli match, the one we lost, that took our CL spot) and in Many of them earlier in the season and some later on, Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaladze, and whoever was @ LB, wheter favali, serginho or marek, werent impressive, does that take away the fact that they are still not good players, no, you cannot have a great game every day, and more so if you are young, in the case of veloso and moutinho, unlike the milan list these players are 20 and 21 i believe, while Kaka is and pirlo are the only ones in the 20's being 25 and 28 respectively.
Lisbon finished second in there league, and if Moutinho and Veloso there two best players werent any good, or playing at low levels, this wouldnt have happened.
edit, how did i forget Oddo, he was the worst performer to me.
with seedorf's, age, speed (a problem for me) is he now an asset or a liability.

Fio has Frey, Juve has Buffon, Roma as Doni...
what other big clubs do you want to come after him?(in Italy)
romurs say that Barca(?) And L'pool are or were after him... and Napoli him too...
arent those big enough for you?
if he didnt play for Livorno this season, do you think they would have had any chance of staying in Serie A until the day where they had to play with us?
Cristiano pornaldo is overrated too, if thats the scale you want...
Boruc is overrated, Gomes is overrated...... according to your scale...
ah and also, if he was that bad, do you think he will be the 2nd keeper behind Buffon for Italy? or do you even think he will get called up?
with seedorf's, age, speed (a problem for me) is he now an asset or a liability.
the fastest player(s) this season were pato and kaka, I dont think anyone was fast like they were before, because this season has been full of injuries, and remember, Milan had to play every 3 days at some times...
I believe Seedorf to be a fast player, and he can launch counter attackers, and wait for Kaka to set him up
Seedorf is as important as Pirlo in Carlo's system..

sounds make sense and few times i saw, he came in as substitute a man behind the main striker in 4-2-3-1 pattern and that man was rui costa or deco.
when needed to play agressive to force a win, scolari replace 1 of 2 central midfielder (might be maniche or petit) with moutinho.

What worries me is the gulf in class among the squad - for instance
In Barca they have Edmilson, Xavi, Deco, Toure, Marquez (plays DM at times), Iniesta, Ronaldinho, GDS....ALL of these players could earn a starting spot in most other teams.
In attack they have R10, Eto'o, Messi, Bojan and Henry.
We have one GREAT player...but the guy on the bench taking his spot is pure crap. Quality AND Quantity are needed

Leandro Grimi, riscattato dallo Sporting Lisbona dopo un anno di prestito. Nell'ambito di questa operazione, il Milan avrebbe strappato un'opzione sul centrocampista portoghese Miguel Veloso.
I just say that he doesn't have it in him to be a starter in a big team like Milan, he'll crack just like Gila has. Abbiati once was the most promising italian goalkeeper now look where he is, it doesn't mean that Amelia will end up like him but why wasting our money when Abbiati is just as good as Amelia and we need other reinforcements.

based on GAAP (General Accepted Accoounting Principle), seedorf is treated as intangible asset that amortized according to his legth of contract with zero in residue :grinser:
Look like we are after Miguel Veloso as a part of Grimi deal, Veloso would be ideal for Milan He plays mainly as a defensive midfielder, but has also played as a center back and left back, he is 22 he could be backup for Pirlo or Kala but IMPORTANCE is that he is LB (i think his first position)

TO be honest, all Milan need is a RELIABLE and SOLID GK, as Dida, Kalac and even Abbiatti just cannot be associate with those words.

There must be something wrong with me, mrki is starting to make sense to me :D
the only thing i must add is the fact that you forgot zambrotta, and i would put kalac on the bench.
that makes it 18 players+ 1 defender + 1 forward = 20 players.
Maybe even emerson can be used sometimes, he said that he wasn't able to show his best this year due to injury.
Now he was operated and will be ready in 3 months, maybe he will be good enough for bench.
There is also ronaldo, he came back before, maybe he can do it again....
That makes it 22 players, and I think pato will be worth at least 2 players next year....It's ok, we'll be ready

True but look at the mess it has caused at the club because of this?
Based on all the rumours of players not arriving at training, players stating that they are leaving the club etc, supporters drawing up petitions to have the president of the club removed before his term finishs etc.
Do we need this kind of trouble at Milan?
Admittedly that squad did wonders in Europe for 2 seasons in a row, what changed?

Everybody seems rather worried about Mourinho and Inter for next season.
Lets remember that this same team almost lost the scudetto this past season.
Before we worry about Mourinho he first needs to short out his own "house" according to the rumours. Materazzi and Belloti demanding a starting spot or they will leave the club etc
Knowing Mourinho, he would probably open the door for them and wave good-bye with a smile. He is not one to be told what to do or how to do his job, not from club owners and definitely not from players.
Lastly, I have a lot of respect of Mourinho but in all fareness, the Portuguese League and EPL is not as tactical as serie-a is. This will be a good test for his tactical abilities, perhaps his first "real" tactical challenge.
I'm definitely looking forward to the Milan derby next season!!!
OFFICIAL: Samp, redeemed Sammarco transfer fee 2.4 Mil
Gabriel489

What does that mean Vulli?
Does that mean, Sammarco is coming back or we sold Sammarco to Sampdoria?
If our solutrion for GK is Abbiatti then we are really and extremly pathetic in that sence. Abbiatti? "Chi non salta rossonero man" and NOT good enough player - bravo Galliani!!!
what is the moct comical think is the comment by Galliani: " Abbiatti didnt want to go to Palermo, so now he will be our keeper..." Of course he didnt wan to move from Milanello to Palermo...Brocchi and Emerson also want ostay in Milanello and sit on the bench for 2-4 mln a year. So does Dida.
We need a new and good goalkeeper, GK is an extremly important part of defence that makes defenders play better. Boruc is the only normal solution out there now. Frey will not move.

Why is Fiorentina attracting and signing quality players left tight and center and we're just name droping in the positions that we need the most help in.

Fiorentina is going to be VERY GOOD NEXT YEAR if they can jell. If they could have signed a Giovanni Dos Santos type player in the mid-field they'd be set for the CL and could make things really interesting.

I thought Sammarco is going to come back and take Brocchi's spot. Great job for preparing for the long term plans. This really pisses me off as I think Sammarco can be really solid for Milan, not superstar but solid. Even though I have not watch him play, only on youtube, but from what I read here and there, Sammarco can be a solid player for Milan. We already co-own with Genoa with DiGennero, I really wonder who to bring in. I really hope Milan are planning to bring in Maggio by letting Samp have Sammarco. Or Milan is actually planning to bring in the Parma midfield Duo, then this Sammarco deals will make sense. Since the 2.5M is really nothing, I mean the fact that Gila is gone saves us like 3M a season salary already.
As for the rumors of Viola signing the so call dream defense. I would only worry about it when it is official. I still think they might not even make it pass the qualify rounds.
Who is Sammarco? If he is prettey good, Milan wont accept 2 mil for half of his contract. Nothing improvement IMO if we change Brocchi with Sammarco.
We need better player than Sammarco.

Actually, the player that I dont want in Milan is Brocchi but I prefer Brocchi than Sammarco. Brocchi is much older but has much more experience. Sammaro is still a 'none' player, people only discuss him year but if he is pretty good, other club will chase him or at least Milan wont accept 2 mil (which means his price is only 4 mil).

Not bashing you or anything but most people here thought that we'd catch 4th? They've proved to be a solid team that is only going from strength to strength.
And I admire the fact that with the limited resources and CL monies that they will be getting, they're trying. They're doing the best they can in their situation to field the best team possible.
And they're not wasting anytime, name droping or spending 8 weeks haggling with other teams before making BIG moves.
Although different, they're deep run in the UEFA Cup provided them with some useful experience and will help them. If they are able to jell and Gila returns to his old form, with Mutu, Pazzini, Vargas Frey between the sticks and some of the other additions that they want to add...they'll be fine. :p283:
Flamini,Zambrotta and Boriello is good start for our mercato campaign, I really hope Mr. baldy now can fully concetrate on purchasing 2 world class player on defense and forward position. And I hope also we can sign one more for Kaka back-up,
This is our mercato looks like in Euro ( pls correct me if im wrong )
In : Flamini ==> free
Zambrotta ==> 8.5 mil
Boriello ==> 7 mill ( altough still not official yet )
Sum = 15.5 mill
Out : Gila ==> 14 mil
Oliveira ==> 10 mil
Sammarco ==> 2.5 mil
Grimi ==> ???
Sum = 26.5 mil
Until now on we have 11 mil which in my opinion quite enough to buy players like Zapata, Cigarini or perhaps add 4-5 mil again for Giuseppe Rossi or Gomez

In any other season, I would have say yes to Viola making it to group stage. But not this year, as some of their players will be in Beijing and some will be playing in Euro. Thus making it very hard for them to train consistently with enough rest. I really think they will not pass the qualifying rounds.
can't understand why we're not entertaining the idea of buying Vargas, we should just wade in there slap £7-8 million on the table and walk out with the best left-back in Serie A.
Anyukov should also be looked at for right-back.

Besides the Romanian who else is going?
To JIM UK - That's what frustrates me to NO end about management. I admitt I'm suffering from a MASSIVE lack of confidence and trust in management, and letting a player like Vargas who can help just go to another team on the cheap doesn't help.
I also dont understan this. Maybe we are subjective, but Vargasa really DID look stunning in last season. We let Serginho go and he is IDEAL player to replace Sergio. We should just, as someone said, come and pay and have the BEST lb in serie a. Vargas left, Zambrotta right and there you go.
Fiorentina will have VERY strong team with extremly good and capable coach that has perfectly worked out sistem of adaptation for every single palyer.
Frey is top class GK, Revellier is a very good palyer by all standards, Vargas is superb, Gabmerini is also excellent. Montolivo is super player, Mutu, PAzzini, Gila will be good again, the young Monte Nego player is a supoer class ( I believe Tony ). You will see that Viola can play well in CL. And in scudetto.
There was an insteresting story on net. Prandelli said in the locker room of Viola: " We will build a team that can win scudetto for 5 years" and Mutu responded:" hey, that is not good for us who are over 30, we need to win it in 3.." :)

I think you meant "in" five years...but I got your point, and I think they're headed in the right direction. That's why in my opinion if they could attract a young international star like a G. Dos Santos who could grow with the team, would take that team to another level and really help Italian football in the long.
Fiorentina is not going to win anything with striker like Gila. Trust me :).

To Jeff- I can almost guarantee you that he'll do FAR better than he did with us. And they already have Mutu & Pazzini, anything Gila gives would be bonus.

i hope after giving up on sammarco for a loaf of bread ... we can get cigarini or velosso ... the most appealing solution for GK is boruc ... if we up with boruc zapata zambrotta flamini velosso/cigarini boriello gomez ... this is so great that the violas don't have a chance to compete !!!
Breaking News:
Some reports in England suggest Chelsea have agreed terms with Ancelotti.
Nope...we sold him:
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jun3l.html
We better get a good AM...or I am going to be very upset about this move...I thought he had great potential, but we dont have time to invest in youth, when we are expected to win silverware every season.
maybe we got an option on maggio in return.

sky sports have reported that yeah.... the english press are super unreliable tho...
Chelsea Agree Deal With Ancelotti
Ancelotti has been strongly linked with taking over at Chelsea ever since the sacking of Avram Grant just under a fortnight ago.
Sky Sports News claims that the Milan coach's representatives held talks with Chelsea officials this afternoon which resulted in an agreement for him to move to West London.
Now all that remains is for Ancelotti to give his final go-ahead to the deal, and for the Blues to agree a compensation package with Milan.
This all follows reports in the Italian media that Ancelotti met with Roman Abramovich in Paris last night at the Four Seasons George V hotel near the Eiffel Tower, where the Chelsea owner offered the Italian a four-year contract.
The meeting was long and thorough, and the Russian billionaire offered Carletto 7.2 million Euros net per year, as well as 100 million Euros to invest immediately on transfers, with the first target being Kaka.
Assistant coach to Ancelotti will reportedly be former Chelsea playing legend Gianfranco Zola, who is currently working with the Italy Under-21 national team.
Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani has admitted that Ancelotti was in Paris last night but denied it was to have talks with Abramovich.
"I spoke with Ancelotti. He was in Paris, but not to meet Abramovich. He was in Paris for business," said the transfer guru.
Whatever the exact truth, it certainly seems that Chelsea are homing on their new manager.
What do you think about this? I know Mrki will be happy :D
I think is just newspapers filling their pages, nothing more

Let me ask you something honestly Warro. Do you think Galiani/management will do everything in their power and/or whatever it takes in the transfer window to make sure we have the best chance to win a scudetto? I wouldn't support the club if I felt otherwise.
For me it would be a grand, no make that monumental waste of time.
I think carletto will stay until maldini decides to take up coaching. hopefully 2-3 yrs from now.
also, i dont believe barca wants Inzaghi, but maybe they would take him in a part excahnge deal if they and milan cannot come to an agreement on Eto'o.

Blues agree Ancelotti deal
But Premier League club yet to reach a settlement with Milan
Sky Sports News understands Chelsea have agreed a deal with Carlo Ancelotti following talks with the Milan coach's representatives.
Chelsea are homing in on their new manager after sacking Avram Grant less than two weeks ago after just eight months in charge.
The Premier League runners-up are understood to have narrowed down their short list for the job to two names.
Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes, who is also interesting Manchester City, is one of the Blues' targets to replace Grant.
The other contender is an overseas coach and Chelsea have made a renewed attempt to prise Ancelotti away from the San Siro.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani revealed at the weekend that the club had turned down Chelsea's request to hold talks with Ancelotti.
However, Sky Sports News understands that the Blues have met with the Italian's representatives and agreed terms over taking charge at Stamford Bridge.
A deal with Milan is still to be reached and the concerted push to appoint Ancelotti looks likely to lead to Hughes joining City.
Sven Goran Eriksson, Frank Rijkaard, Guus Hiddink, Luiz Felipe Scolari and Roberto Mancini are among the names to have been linked with the Chelsea position, but it now appears owner Roman Abramovich has settled on Ancelotti.

Lippi wont come...
and if the Viola get a CL spot next season, or reach the quarter final of the CL, you can call me an idiot as long as you want :)
Milan will sign world class players... you cant just go on and buy players, you have to scout them... and I think almost every club in Europe is waiting for the EUROs to see how the players will do, Including Milan, Viola, Juve and Inter(well maybe not Inter)
and it doesnt matter how much players Viola buy... they wont(the players) have a good connection with each other on the pitch and it will take some time so they start having this connection which will lead them to victories
@Carlo, like I said in the other thread, expect a press conference soonish ;)

I really hope Carlo stays...because, with Lippi stating he would "never" coach Milan, who else is there really (available etc)??

How long has Fergie been in United?
How long has Carlo been using the Christmas tree formation?
How many times did this "old fashion sucky" formation demolish teams, when the players felt like playing anyway?
on what are you basing your "opinion"?
I think the 4-3-2-1 Formation that Carlo uses is more stable than the 4-4-2 formation...
and on Rijkaard... do you remember why he got sacked? oh yes, for failing to win having better players than Carlo..
I think with the right players, Carlo can make Milan win again... you people simply dont have any faith... and want to keep changing things when you fail to win, just like Chelsea, and R.Madrid...
the best coach to replace Carlo is Donadoni maybe Van Basten but i don't think they'll leave or who knows maybe Van Basten will leave Holland at the end of Euro but i'm not really convinced in him as a good coach
The best thing is now to stick with Carlo because there is no good coach out there like Carlo
well there is always costacurta and tassotti, they are already assistant coaches for Milan.
Lippi is great, and if you asked me two weeks ago i would have said yes, but since there have been statements about him not wanting to coach milan, then i wouldnt want him in milan, even if he has a change of heart.
as for Donadoni, i doubt he would leave Italy's job so quickly, but i would love to have him as coach, also because he is a former milansta, unlike lippi.
Good scouts dont need EURO to see how some playersperform.
If Carlo leaves I dont care, but he better dont think about bringing Pirlo, KAka' or someone witgh him.
If Lippi doesnt want to come, Hiddink and Scolari are best options.
Yea Costacurta could be a good coach but we don't really know he 's not proven anywhere we can't take that risk, Tassoti would be better i think
Donadoni maybe will get fired if he has a bad Euro who knows

IF HE/THEY DID THEN WHY don't we go after players RATED AS THE BEST :musk:
We need:
1)offensive mid/Winger : Quaresma (begging to leave), Drenthe, Nasri etc etc
IF Berlu really wanted to help out he'd have splashed $40 Million Euro and given us the present
2)Wing back: Alves, Rafhina, Lugano, Ramos, Capel

But our protracted haggling for even the smallest of players...or more correctly the media impression of the above seems to imply that the club's sporting success is very separate and apart from our financial success. Galliani and Berlu think that we have done well this year because of the record amount of season tickets we have garnered at the start of this season.....It's pitiful and woefully myopic reasoning since now, witht he team in it's present state I doubt the same number would be clamouring for season passes....i.e to separate the two is simpleminded at best and rather foolish worst case.
Buying galmour players is veeerrrry expensive I agree.....but who is more likely to sell the jerseys? CR7/Quaresma/Ribery ...or Oddo/Zambrotta/Bonera?

first of all, defenders dont usually sell alot of jerseys, so comparing oddo, bonera and zambrotta to CR7, Quaresma and Ribery is unfair.
it would be better by sayin Pato, Kaka, and Seedorf, in anycase however you are correct, as at the current moment in time. Pato's jersey sales will increase and kaka's should remain constant.

I just want to note that not hearing news from media regarding rumor doesn't mean that the operation is not under away.
That's what I"m talking about earlier regarding Emerson (source www.goal.com)
It seems that next season the competition for Milan's three midfield positions will be between Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Ambrosini, Gennaro Gattuso, and new man Mathieu Flamini, with Cristian Brocchi a possible replacement in case of emergency. But there is one player in Milan's midfield who has almost been forgotten.
After a decidedly negative season, in which he's had innumerable physical problems, Brazilian international Emerson feels ready to get his Milan adventure back on track.
"I feel in debt to Milan, I say it from the heart," he said. "I was very well received by the club and my team mates, but I wasn't able to repay them. I still have a year left on my contract and I want to give what I haven't given so far."
On the fierce competition in midfield, the 32-year-midfielder said: "Whoever is at his best will play. Flamini is good, but I'm not scared of the competition. Actually it's fundamental to give your best. If I'm doing well I will get a chance to play."
***
If you notice, he actually played for Milan a couple of game when he was fit for a while (can't remember when that was), and he actually played pretty well.
Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying that he is a starter (at least definitely not this moment) but he can be a useful sub. if he is fit enough. I would consider him better than Brocchi.

I just want to note that not hearing news from media regarding rumor doesn't mean that the operation is not under away.
At the same time Managment is normally or has shown itself in recent history to be quite vocal about the players they're chasing.
Just about every player that has come this year and last were reported on in the media well ahead of the player actually landing here, for one simple reason.
Our management LOVES and I mean LOVES to blow they're horn :w155: sing at the top of their voice :5chore: & preach :w221: to the media regarding the BIG names :strong: :p286: :5schal: that will be wearing the Milan Jersey :5roma:.
To Jeff - I do agree that when fit Puma was an asset on the field.
256th page: boriiiiiiiing page, so boring that I didn't want to read the previous pages ... why do people always repeat the same things ("if Ancelotti goes, X would be the best", "if we don't take Y, we're dead", "we won't do a good mercato", etc etc etc).
Even a French Ligue 1 match between Le Mans and Metz is less boring than some of the comments done regularly by the same people !! And you probably never watched a Le Mans-Metz match !! :D

Players that we want to come, players that may come, players that want to come, and players that missed coming. :wallbang:
Mr Benzema is currently playing against colombia,
why do people always repeat the same things ("if Ancelotti goes, X would be the best", "if we don't take Y, we're dead", "we won't do a good mercato", etc etc etc).
That's human. They want to express what they think, they want to talk to other people about many things and in many occasions people talk the same things from time to time especially for certain topics that are so exciting to talk and to discuss.
You can observe some people if you want :mex: to find out how many times they talk the same thing again and again in a month, 3 months, half year etc and I bet they must repeat to talk about many things for many times. :D
I agree....but there is also the disturbing...almost scary potential for a massive quarrel to break out in the dressing room between Emerson, Pirlo, Ambro, Gattuso, and Flamini.....and given the relatively prestigious reputations of the above FIVE :wallbang: I doubt any of the above would like to be lumped in the same category of Brocchi......now how about lighting the fire under Janku's @$$...or even Zambrotta's for that matter :gun:
Actually it's pretty simple ...
I think at the start of the season, 3 guys will fight for 2 starting places (Gattuso, Ambro and Flamini, I think Pirlo is sure to be a starter).
Let's imagine that the 3 starters are Ambro-Pirlo-Gattuso at the start of the next season, when Emerson will be fit, if Ambro needs a rest, Emerson will take his place, and Flamini will fight with Gattuso to play. If they do well, they will have a second chance, etc ... it's real competition between players, there can't be any problems with that (except if they're kids in their heads, but when you see that Emerson almost didn't play, why would he complain if he isn't often a starter).
For Brocchi ... it's another story, he'll play only in Italian Cup lol.

Mr Benzema is currently playing against colombia,
As well as Zapata ... who committed one single error giving a penalty to France (actually, there was no fault). Except that moment, he was impressive, he stopped each action from Benzema-Henry-Ribéry (the 3 only players who attack today).
Falcao from Colombia isn't bad ...
My advisor, to Ancelotti regarding this matter, then is to create a goal for next year and everyone works toward that goal. Namely: if the goal is to get both Scudetto and UEFA, then a squad above 5 is not an issue at all as everyone will have the chance to contribute. Also UEFA is less presitigous, so hopefully Ancelotti is willing to play the non-starting-11.
Fighting for a place or collaborating to win trophies? It's all up to the manager...

What makes you think that Berlu is looking to profit financially from Milan? This is not Jesus Gil, or the ex Parma, aor ex Lazio(?)president(s) or any of these two bit millionaires who have tried, and got caught syphoning funds from clubs.
Berlu has poured Millions of dollars, pounds, yen, lire, what ever denomination you prefer, into the club over the years...he rescued us from Serie B and bankrupcy, and you sit there are type that garbage on your computer? Listen, stop using that Venezuelan crap...buy Jamaican, or dont buy at all! :whie:
I rate you as an intelligent yute, so please, speak/type sense. He is not laundering, or otherwise using Milan to "make" money...he is losing money by owning Milan if anything...:rollani:
He doesnt need money from Milan. Matter of fact, fret if/when he decides to sell the club...as the saying goes, we might just: "swap black dog fi monkey" or, translated: jump from the frying pan, into the fire...basically, go from a bad (or percieved bad situation), to one that is worse...or at best the same.
Berlu does however, profit politically from Milan...an accusation I would never defend him against. :devs:
There are deals that don't require much negotiation....simply toss the $$$'s and viola!! But our protracted haggling for even the smallest of players...or more correctly the media impression of the above seems to imply that the club's sporting success is very separate and apart from our financial success. What!!??? Bro..stop inhaling that craaaaap!! "Brand JA" or nothing man! What are u saying?
They are completely intertwined...one shouldnt have one, (ie financial success) without the other(sporting success)...currently, of most of the major clubs in Europe, we have one of the (if not THE) smallest debt, and would be in the black, were it not for missing out on the UCL...and our spine, Kaka, Pato, Pirlo and Nesta, are world class, and walk into almost any club in the known universe as starters.
We are negotiating the best deals for the club..why should we overpay? I am not hearing that Quaresma is about to be signed by Chelski...I am not hearing the R10 is going to Man City...so why the stress/fretting/worry when we have already made 3 important signings, with 4 to go, and the whole entire summer mercato awaiting us? To satisfy you, mrki and a few other impatients? Get real bro. Please.
Galliani and Berlu think that we have done well this year because of the record amount of season tickets we have garnered at the start of this season.....It's pitiful and woefully myopic reasoning since now, with the team in it's present state I doubt the same number would be clamouring for season passes....i.e to separate the two is simpleminded at best and rather foolish worst case. They have always maintained that the clubs targets, the World Club Cup, and European Super Cup, were the primary objectives for this season, which were met. Being slightly in the red, is a negative, but compare that to Chelski, Man U, Liverpool, and Barca´s, and we are just fine and dandy in comparison.
And the mercato is just beginning..there is still time for two huge signings, and maybe some squad players to ensure quality off the bench, so calm down, and again, just say NO to the Venezuelan crap postering as JA sensi...we will sell tons of season tickets for next term once R10, Drogba, or somesuch is unveiled.
Ok, rant over. :D
no team (well except maybe chelsea) will play 50 mil for him, not now atleast.
It's clearly why he shouldn't leave this summer ...

Rumours about a 50M € bid from Barcelona, but I think, if it is confirmed, that Aulas will refuse too, he said many times "not at less than 60M €", so it will be nothing at less than 60M €.

60 mil is a ridiculous price to ask for a 21 year old.
well man u ask for 100mil+ for cr7 as per reports.
If i was manager, the most i would offer for benzema is 35 and i may add simic or marek, and if drunk, both. or maybe add gourcuff.
btw, which club did coupet ended up going to after he left lyon.

I would choose Akinfeev over him. And we will see him in Euro 2008 with Russian national team.
Akinfeev doesn't seem to be at the level he was before his knee injury that kept him out for months. I doubt he will even me the starting GK of the Russian team in this coming Euro.
AGAIN, Benzema IS NOT too expencive, his price is just right for a player of his calibre. Milan has the money. We payed 16mln+Vogel for Injured Oliveira when we were in big need. We payed 20 mln for a 17 year old boy Pato. We can pay 35 for Benzema. But we dont want to.
Zapata is the best option for us at the CB, for a 21 year old this man is a perfect defender. Mexes is more expencive and not much better player in my oppinion.
oh, an to geotav, yes falcao was playing well, buy they just took him off,

Mexes is overrated. Zapata is younger and has a bigger upside IMO. I would prefer Naldo though.

60 million euros?
for gods sake, even pornaldo at his best(this season) didnt reach 60 million

Argh, if I tell on this forum he won't be sold at less than 60M € (can sound ridiculous, but it is Aulas !! Aulas is simply a firm manager, and he knows how to make money with Lyon !!) for the 150th time, will you say again in 10 posts that we could take Benzema for 30M € but that we don't want to spend that ?!
Pfiou ... it has to go in mind that Aulas won't let his player going for 30M € !!

I didn't watch that match entirely, Colombia isn't a very good team actually: they play well but make a lot of mistakes with simple passes (whereas they are able to do some amazing passes lol) and this Falcao is good but wasn't very dangerous actually from what I saw ...

guys do we have any new news?
Pato was bought for more then 20 mln ( I think it was 22 ) euro by Milan from Internacional. This sume was confirmed by Fiorentina president after PAto scored a goal for 1:0 and he said something like: " we cant offer more then 20 mln for a 17 year old player like Milan." Dont get me wrong, Pato is worth every penny of it.
To be clear on Benzema, noone will pay 60 mln and he will go for 35-40MAX as did Essien or Diarra.
And Carlo said tonight that Milan is not going for Eto'o and that players that arrived so far are great and if some more arrive it will be good. He said he was satisfied with Boriello up front. Days back Boriello said Carlo misjudged his potential but he forgives him now...oh how nice.
If Milan wants to sompete for scudetto we still need GK, one more fullback and Ronaldinho+forward. I will not be satisfied untill I see a real squad, as this squad still lacks 4 good players min for a long and tough season with Marek, Oddo, Nesta, Seedorf, Pippo, Ambro, Rino, Pirlo being all 30 or over 30.
To be clear on Benzema, noone will pay 60 mln and he will go for 35-40MAX as did Essien or Diarra.
Ok, so now, explain me something because you're very sure about you: why Aulas (owner of Lyon) would let Benzema leaving at 35-40M € ?!
Each time he said a price, he never let the player leaving at less than this price.
He doesn't want to sell Benzema, so he said that clubs would have to pay at least 60M € (even added that this price was going to increase with Benzema's performances each year) and Lyon doesn't need money, they have ... so now, explain me, why Aulas would let him go for 35-40M € ?!
Think about that and let me know because I'm really curious about your reasonment there ...
All is not up to us and all is not so easy, like it has been said so many times, it's not FM08 or PES08, you don't get players to their true value, you have to pay more than their real value. And when a club has a very good and young player, when this same club doesn't need money, when this club also wants to win trophies, and so when this club doesn't want to sell his young and talented player, why this club would sell him at his real value ?
Mr Payne...I would appreciate a link when nex u r goin to watch a match durin di work day...mi sen yuh a priv messge wid mi contaks..so mi a beg yuh use it star...if mi did kno seh France a play, mi would a tek een di match...mi hav all di streamin program dem..so if mi did kno dat...mi woulda watch is Iyah.

colombia had a few good chances, but never had anyone to finish, but they had some really good runs.
@mrki: Excellent! I think you are now on the same page with many of us. LIke you said "we still need GK, one more fullback and Ronaldinho+forward. I will not be satisfied untill I see a real squad, as this squad still lacks 4 good players min for a long and tough season".
The only part that I disagree with, and will continue to disaree, is that "with Marek, Oddo, Nesta, Seedorf, Pippo, Ambro, Rino, Pirlo being all 30 or over 30." we are still going to do great.
You have players like 2x like Gourcuff but never really impressed; and we do have players who are not above 30 and playing at top levels.

Happy At Milan
The Czech also revealed how after a season disrupted by injury he was keen to return to Milan next season and regain his place in the side. He said: “It's not easy to keep a place at AC Milan, given the great competition.”
He also spoke of how difficult last season had been for him, due to the injury. He said: “Following the unpleasant season when I was out for a long time with the knee injury, I'd like to prove that I'm finally well.”
Now he has regained fitness Jankulovski spoke of how he was happy at Milan and keen to see out his career at the club.
“For me, AC Milan is the absolute top at the club level,” he said, before concluding that, “There’s nothing more for me and I believe that I'll remain in the club.”

actually in FM08, i dont really get any player at the actual value, i usually have to pay higher and some times alot higher, as i payed 76mil for Alves who was valued at 26mil.
i also offered a 60mil bid for benzema and a 50mil bid for ben arfa both were valued at 19mil, and both bids were rejected.
same for bodmer he was worth 15 mil spent 32, and spent 42.5 mil on Joao who was worth somewhere around 15mil.

It's not about this topic but your problem is probably that you wanted them too early ?? I generally wait the end of their contract or 2 years before to buy them, before that, you have to pay ridiculous sums like you had to do lol (in one game, I had Bodmer for 18M) !!

What Aulas said is similar to the release clause which is used in Spain. This kind of thing doesnt represent the actual price of a player, it's just only a barrier for other clubs who want to buy the player.
So, If Benzema is availabe (for transfer) then his price is much lower than what Aulas said.

Yes, he's not available, it's just a price that Aulas gave, it's a limit, after that price, Aulas will negociate, but less than that, he won't negociate.
And if he said that price, he won't decrease it, I'm pretty sure about that, or it would be the first time he would do so ...
Anyway, Barcelona or Chelsea or even MU are able to pay that for Benzema, quite stupid, but if you want to get the player ...

No clubs in this earth will buy young-talented-unexperienced player for 60 mil euros. We have seen many transfers (young talented players or super world class player). Only Zidane's price can match Benzema's one.
If there is club this summer making a bid for 40 mil euros, Aulas will accept that, no doubt.
A bid of 30 to 35 mil euros will be accepted by Lyon IMO.

Ok I saw this article on tutto mercato and to be honest I am a little just shocked. Not at what has occured with the other team going bankrupt but with the actual possibility that AC could get into the Champions league. I will admit that my knowledge on such things is very very little. So I am asking if anyone on here would know more about how such things work.

Fully agree with on that, pal. And I guess we could also try to sign Hleb. He's a very talented midfielder, and it seems that's ready to leave the Arsenal side... he's a perfect signing, I guess, 'cause we cannot trust Seedorf at all for the whole season, he became a very irregular player.
You see, mrki.. I guess we should replace Ancelotti. He's a great coach, that is beyond any question, but I think that are in bad need of a new kind of management, a more ambitious and modern atitude.
That is the biggest load of tripe since King Kongs intestines were either jerked, roasted, or fried, and sold wholesale to Trinidad. :uhm:
What makes you think that Berlu is looking to profit financially from Milan? This is not Jesus Gil, or the ex Parma, aor ex Lazio(?)president(s) or any of these two bit millionaires who have tried, and got caught syphoning funds from clubs.
Berlu has poured Millions of dollars, pounds, yen, lire, what ever denomination you prefer, into the club over the years...he rescued us from Serie B and bankrupcy, and you sit there are type that garbage on your computer? Listen, stop using that Venezuelan crap...buy Jamaican, or dont buy at all!
you are 100% right I take it back I guess the last 3 transfer seasns have me a bit jaded :respect: But....ok....so Berlu doesn't make a profit on Milan....but he certainly doesn't loose....I mean last year we DID make a profit....not a substantial one...but investments were returned....and I'm pretty sure they were returned in the days that he DID $plash
Berlu does however, profit politically from Milan...an accusation I would never defend him against. :devs:
Please
You have no evidence that they ARE negotiating..do you?? Plus Quaresma is HEAVILY linked (where there's smoke there's fire .....except in Jamaica :D )with Real and Inter :yuck:
They have always maintained that the clubs targets, the World Club Cup, and European Super Cup, were the primary objectives for this season, which were met. Being slightly in the red, is a negative, but compare that to Chelski, Man U, Liverpool, and Barca´s, and we are just fine and dandy in comparison So you're all about saving Berlu's pennies huh?
I'm booking my ticket to Jamrock happy now??

i was going to post that news until i saw that you posted it first before me and other posted that in Italian language :D i wouldnt say i wont be happy if that would becoming a truth but.. i already imagine what people might say about Milan. o well.. when we had to qualified from CL 2 season ago (which was suppose to be not but because some stupid punishment namely calciopoli scandal we had to deal with qualification stage before entered the CL) many people gave negative reactions towards us although they had to ate back their words because we were unpredictable became the champion of CL that season. one of them is Viera who said that we arent suppose to be playing in the league that forbid for us :rollani: hate that man since he left Arsenal and my hatred getting bigger after he told that stupid statement. so anyway back on topic: would be nice to have Milan back to CL but i really hope that we qualify because we qualify as it true meaning not by someone gives to us that CL. that would be like Inter being gave scudetto by Juve. again: if its true i also be happy but i think this time is to focus on scudetto (goshh.. i sound like Galiani :D )
meanwhile i just read a news about rumour linked us to Zapata. what are you waiting for Galiani? get your pen and contract paper and bring your money to Udinese's office :

I am afraid that is not possible. Italy is allowed only FOUR participants. The Bulgarian FA is awarded 2 CL spots. If CSKA Sofia cannot play in the CL, then the Bulgarian FA will simply let the team in third place take their spot. That crap about Milan taking that spot because they are the highest ranked coeffecient is just talk.
The article says that the Bulgarian FA is going to ask UEFA to exclude CSKA Sofia, that does not make sense to me, because it is the FA who decides who goes to the CL. The article also claims that it is Milan who will get their spot and not the third in the Bulgarian Championship (which I don't agree with).
The only time an FA had 5 teams was in the 2005/2006 season, that is when Liverpool won the CL and achieved 5th place in the league..however the following season in the CL they did not represent England, they were in the tournament as the Title Holders. When the draws were made, usually the teams say Chelsea (ENG), AC Milan (ITA)...Liverpool had (Holders) instead.
So I don't think Milan will enter the tournament with (BUL) nor will they use (Holders).. This is just a nice topic to sell papers. This is my take on this situation.

I actually do not know if I would even accept the CL if we had the chance to enter. Think about all the criticism for the entire world. And every time Milan's in trouble, they seem to find a back door. We should play in the UEFA cup, we have to pay the price for the management's arrogance.
Geo asked me why do I think Lyon will not get 60 mln for BEnzema: Lyon also requested 60mln for Essien and Chelsea bought him for 40. Its normal owners overreact with prices so they can get more money, but the price of 40 mln euro is a HUGE price and its enough. Maybe, of course there is always a possibility, that Chelsea or Mardid pay 60 mln, but to me it looks more realistic Benzema will be sold for around 40 mln, maybe inculded some players and so on...
Zapata would be a great player for us and I've heard before Braida is working on that transfer, we really need that kind of a player. Zapata is a super strong, fast, MODERN defender who will be able to play at highest level. FOR ME, he looks like a player that will play on HIGHER level then Kaladze, Bonera, Gamvberrini and so on... He is a player for the future, like Chiellini for instance. Fingers crossed for him. And we also need to have in mind that defenders always paly 20% better when they play alongside Nesta and Zambrotta. In smaller clubs its harder to play well defensively.
Milan in CL - "not" possible. Aldough in this mafia football world everything is wide open. If that key in which the next best ranged UEFA team steps in is LEGAL, then Milan really has a birocratic chance. Maybe this will be 1st time italy will have 5 teams in CL.
And there is still a player Im hoping for, at least to take hold on to him and loan him - Cigarini. He is a better player then Veloso and so on. WE dont need Brocchi and Emerson any more. They all say they will fight and try, but they cant phisically and there is no help for that.
Also, before I go to the university, I wanted to tell you that Milan could have made a good squad by signing relatively ok priced players like Dos Santos ( who is a perfect rotation player wih Seedorf in our 4-5-1 formation. Is young and cannot play full season but has quality and is a player for the future. Costs around 10 mln ), Zapata ( also the same as Santos, with a normal price for such a young and good player ), Boruc ( very good Gk, 10 mln ), Dossena ( off to L'pool but a very good LB for a rotation with Jankulovski ). Those 4 players are players we could have used alongside our world class heard of th squad: Pirlo, Rino, Ambro, Nesta, Kaladze, Maldini, KAka', Seedorf, PAto, Pippo...and new palyers Zambro and Flamini. Then we invest in one great worward and we are in brilliant situation for scudetto race. To invest around 70 mln all thogether in such players ( also we sell some of ours as we are doing now ) is a normal thing for a club like Milan. Imagine this:
GK: Boruc, Kalac
DEFENDERS: Nesta, Kaladze, Maldini, Zapata, Bonera, Oddo, Zambrotta, Jankulovski, Dossena
MIDFIELD: Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Maggio, Flamini, Seedorf, Kaka', Dos Santos
FORWARDS: Drogba, Pato, Inzaghi, Boriello
Sold: Dida, Kalac, Brocchi, Emerson, Favalli, Gilardino, Oliveira, Simic
This is just an example of course how we can make a strong squad with 20 good players who can play at the same level more or less and dont spend 200 mln.

To refresh memory lol: Aulas said not at less than 50M for Essien, he sold him 40M + some optionnal amounts (you know, the ones for example, if Essien plays more than X matches, if Essien plays in Ghana team, etc).
For Diarra, Aulas said "nothing at less than 35M", he sold him at 27M ...
So Aulas said 60M for Benzema, don't try at less than 50M ...

I really don't see a point in this Benzema's discussion, as we all know Milan will never break the bank to sign him. NOt b/c he is not talented enough, it is just that he costs too much.

Since we have been linked once with him, there's always a possibility, even if very small ... so now you see the point in that discussion about Benzema !!
PS: If we had to speak only about guys we are linked with and with a huge possibility to coming to Milan with financial criterias, some of us couldn't post reports about players in their country ... and it would be a shame because we're all curious about the next stars of football, even if they don't come to Milan !!

totally agree.
I read on fcitalia.com that we are linked to Mancini of Roma. He is a talanted player for sure, and would be the winger we're missing. In his early career at Roma they played him RB, and was Cafu's hier.. maybe he can do so here as well :D.. have no idea what his pricing would be like.
As for Abate, he is certainly a skilled and good player. Having him on the bench would be great.

I refuse to believe that unless it is official, having said that I really don't think we deserve CL
When is the last time Milan surprised us with a signing. We are the worst club in the world at keeping secrets. We hear about the players for weeks and even months while Galliani denies it. Then all of a sudden they are milan players.
It has been the case with Zambrotta, Fabregas, Oddo, Vogel, Dhorosso and even Olivera who was a panic buy. Far from having pleasnt surprises, we have
To predict who we will sign usually means the players we are most linked with. At the moment the strongest possibilties are Etoo/$heva and Ronaldhinio.
The encouraging thing is we arent heavily linked with any defenders so hopefully Milan will wait for the big clubs to start shopping at the euro championships while we pick up Zapata. I have a feeling they will use the same tactic with the goal keeper and hope clubs get distracted by goalies playing in the games.

fabregas???
You are right.
I wrote this in another topic but here it is again :
The author of the article is using the old UEFA rules for his theory.
After what happened with Liverpool in 2005, UEFA took all the measures to stop the same thing happening in the future.
Now with the new UEFA rules it's not possible for a certain association to have more than 4 teams in CL.
Here you can read the new CL rules, and i'll quote the 2 rules that prevent Milan from taking the spot of another association :
http://www.uefa.com/newsfiles/19071.pdf
1.01 - UEFA member associations may enter a certain number of clubs for the competition in accordance with their position in coefficient rankings in Annex la, drawn up in accordance with Annex II of these regulations. However, no association may enter more than four clubs.
1.07
A club which is not admitted to the competition shall be replaced by the next best-placed club in the top domestic league championship of the same national association , provided it fulfils the admission criteria. In this case, the access list to the UEFA Club competitions (annex la) will be adjusted accordingly.

So my question Tony is, what happens if say the next Bulgarian team in line for admittance into the UCL isn't admissible to the UCL for some reason? Like finances (as is the case with the current champs?)
So my question Tony is, what happens if say the next Bulgarian team in line for admittance into the UCL isn't admissible to the UCL for some reason? Like finances (as is the case with the current champs?)
You go with the third club, then with the fourth etc.
If there isn't a single team from Bulgaria admissible to the UCL (which is close to impossible, especially since Levski are very rich and they played CL only 2 seasons ago) then the Bulgarian CL spot stays empty and the team that is supposed to play against the Bulgarians in the 2nd CL round gets automatic promotion to the 3rd round.
You know, Platini is trying to reduce the number of teams from the top leagues. That's why the new rules were given. He will never allow any association to have more than 4 teams.
Milan can play CL ONLY if UEFA or FIGC disqualify one of Inter, Juve, Fiorentina or Roma.

Thanks Tony! I was holding a small, miniscule hope, but expected what u posted to be the case.
Indeed, having come to terms with the UEFA cup and a year focused on rebuilding and the scudetto...I really wasn't sure how I felt about getting into the UCL...back door or not.
Let's just win the scudetto next term, and the UEFA cup if we can.
Porto are banned from champions league due to their involvement in some bribary scandal.
Their place will be taken by Benfica.
AC Milan are in talks with Sporting Lisbon over Miguel Veloso.
Sporting are set to land defender Milan fullback Leandro Grimi in a permanent deal and the Rossoneri are seeking first option on Veloso as part of the agreement.
Actually, CSKA Sofia and FC Porto are 2 different cases: one is disqualified by its own federation (Bulgaria for CSKA Sofia), the other is disqualified by UEFA (FC Porto).
So, for CSKA Sofia case, it would be logical that Bulgaria gives the UEFA licence to the next club, if I'm not wrong, Levski Sofia.
But for Portugal, their licence has to be given to the best club in UEFA rank, it is us. But the main problem is the limit of 4 clubs ... so that would exclude a new Italian, Spanish or English team, so it would be probably a French, German, or (with luck for Portugal) a Portuguese club that would take the place of Porto !!
That was my 2 cents, I tried to think about that with logic, I may be wrong.

Nope, Benfica takes Porto's place. It makes no difference who disqualifies them.
The only way this news concerns me is that I hope we could sneak Quaresma out of Porto. Suddenly UEFA Cup with Milan isn't as bad as only domestic football in Portugal :wow:

I explained this already.
That was before the new rules were made.
Now, with the new regulations only a team from the same association can replace the disqualified team. Platini made it sure that no more than 4 teams can play in CL.

It just happened a couple of years ago. Juventus were disqualified from CL and were replaced with another ITALIAN club. I seriously doubt Chievo was the top ranked team under UEFA coefficients. Forget about the CL!!!!! I would even say that qualifying for it would be a step in the wrong direction. Management needed UEFA Cup to give them a good kick in the ass and make changes. A surprise CL spot would just give management a reason to be complacent again. (I know this makes no sense, but that's Galliani for you)...

Quaresma would be the icing on the:bcake:.

Quaresma is Inter's player in new Mourinho team, with Deco and one more CB. Aldough tuttomercato says Mourinho's wish is Dani Alves... Dont know why as they already have two BRILLIANT right midfield/fullback players.

Yeah, I heard something like that too. So unless he decides to pull a Suazo on Fiorentina, or should we call it a "Lloris", he'll be wearing the same colors as Gila next year.
We are not investing as we used to do, that is why we are calculating more. So far we have made 2 grest transfers, especially Flamini at paramater zero was a smart move. But since milan hasnt really invested in past 3 or 4 years we are not lacking some fresh and quality players. Im not sure how far you can stratch a team without spending real money on players, we'll see aguess. This season has showed you cant crucify your own players ( Kaka', pirlo, rino ) and make then play 100 game sper season.
Some reports in Gazzetta say Juve may sell Trezeguet, which would be STUUUPID. But Tony would say that he expects stupid moves from Secco :)
What bothers me with Milan is a simple thing. Im not gready and I love Milan becouse they play smart and buy smart ( untill last3 years ), but there are times when you need to invest properly. Milan, as the most titled club at international level, and the club that is owned by bilionare, should be able to invest in 4 or 5 great players after a dissapointiong sason and failure, and an old team they have/ have made. Players like Zapata, Nasri, Quaresma, Benzema, Drogba, Alves atc need to be bought and that is it. No Oddo or Favalli can help us win scudetto, no Brocchi and Emerson, no Pippo who is fit for 10 games per season, no exausted Pirlo and no overplayed Kaka'. Galliani and Berlusconi have gone way too far in stretching the team, the proof of that is that GATTUSO threatened to leave unless we have some serious players in Milan.

Hehe, actually this time Secco was fast to deny the rumors and to say that Trezeguet is absolutely untouchable.
The origin of these rumors can be found in Spain (Marca, i think). There were news that Barcelona are looking for a top striker and that Guardiola likes Trez, so everyone started writing about that, how Barca are ready to pay 25 millions and how Juve could be tempted by this offer.
Today Juve directors made it clear that Trez is not for sale at any price.
But how can you trust club officials ? They say one thing and they mean something else. Sometimes they're trying to negotiate a better offer by giving such statements.
For some reason i trust Secco on this, though.

I was hoping we would snap up Mario gomez he is one of the young talents that will try to impress on the international level and if he does his price will sky rocket but ithink we are gonna end up with drogba and borrielo with the other "signing" but you never know galliani could pull off something crazy at the end

This is absolutely the worst mix of news I can see!!! Not that simic is staying, but that Maldini is retiring and that we will not buy new CB's.
fortunately, forMilan not for Dario, Galliani is lying to him and Milan will replace Maldini with one good CB like Zapata or Mexes and Simic will not play again. They lied to him for 350 times, they can do it again.
Come on Dario, Firenza is the most beautifull city in the world, Prandelli is a good coach, you have enough money, Croatian Nt team needs a player that plays normal ammount of games - just go to Firentina.
And if Milan really thinks that they can go for scudetto without new CB and without Maldini then we can just sit and laugh.
P.S.
About Simic: These days on croatian TV there were old games from our NT back in France 98 where they were 3rd. And Simic was back then a Dinamo Zagreb player and then left to Inter...What I wanted to say...he was well knows as one ofthe most promising defenders in Europe in 1 on 1 situations, and he played EXCEPTIONAL football. I cant believe that this is a same man. Inter bought a GREAT player back then, but blew it all away! Bastards.
And oh...Davor Šuker...GOD!:clap: If we only have him not alongside Pato :)

Adebayor Agrees Milan Move
According to sources in Italy, Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor has agreed to join AC Milan, and all that is required to complete the deal is for the Rossoneri to meet the Gunners’ €40m asking price.
Milan are well known to be in the market for a top class centre forward, and a couple of weeks ago Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced that the club would be signing one out of Samuel Eto’o, Didier Drogba, Adebayor or Amauri.
With the latter having since joined Juventus, only three of these possibilities remain, and according to sources in Italy, it is Adebayor who will be filling the gap in the Rossoneri frontline.
Adebayor has come to an agreement over personal terms to join the Diavoli, and all that is required to complete the deal is for Milan to meet Arsenal’s asking price, which is set at a cool €40m.
Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani would ideally like to lower this price, but are prepared to break the bank having recently vowed to spend big this summer.
Only a few days ago, Adebayor vowed to stay at Arsenal.
“I came to Arsenal with a mission to succeed," he explained.
"I’ve assured the gaffer Arsène Wenger I’ll stay because I believe in the team and I want to assure the fans my concentration is here. I have no reason to leave so I’ll stay to ensure that together we’ll win silverware."
Mathieu Flamini has already joined Milan on a free transfer this summer, while Aliaksandr Hleb seems almost certain to follow him out of the exit door. If Adebayor were to leave too, it would certainly be an almost irreparable blow to Arsenal ahead of the 2008/09 season.
Fiorentina chase Vargas and Zapata, Inter are after Quaresma, Essien, Carvalho and we are sticking with Simic :5dito:
Without goalkeeper and without Maldini it would be impossible for our defence to play for the Scudetto.
Maldini didnt even say if he's going to stay or retire... its just rumors, unless it was written on acmilan.com(Italian version) and I missed it :O
If Adebayor were to leave too, it would certainly be an almost irreparable blow to Arsenal ahead of the 2008/09 season.
well its good news that we are have gotten his agreement, my problem is the 40 mil price tag, i think thats alot for adebayor, even after his great season.
however i doubt wenger will let him leave, even if 40mil is offered.
i think they should delay negotiations, and see if Gomez can come for cheaper OR
"i know everybody has given up on him, because of his price"
Benzema, if we are willing to pay 40mil for him, im sure we can offer 45 and some player in exchange.
I don't like Adebayor...but I'll gladly take him and teach him how to pass rather than to see Sheva wear red and black again

U never know about R10, and I think Milan is only playing hardball with Barcelona.
I think you're right.
And although many people may not want to hear it, I believe Seedorf is going to be a flop next year. I think we'll see Seedorf performance dip even further than this year that just past. Just a feeling. I think we'll see out of every 5 games 1 really good performance, 2 average, and 2 below par.
He definately can't play in a full season at his top level, and he might be even worse than I'm predicting.
Ronaldinho could easily fit the same role as Seedorf and provide the creativity in the midfield that we are lacking.
I'm telling you we'll be kicking ourselves if we don't get Ronaldinho this transfer season. IT'S OUR TIME!!!
lol, I think Seedorf this season, at his worst, played better than Ronaldinho(he wasnt even a starter)
I dont know why Milan want to buy tbh, do they think he can get to his old self again?
I doubt that..
Ronaldinho could easily fit the same role as Seedorf and provide the creativity in the midfield that we are lacking.
Seedorfs main role at Milan is on the left and invloves helping out the left back. that is not something that Ronaldhio is going to do. Vargas would be a better signing for Milan than Ronaldhio would.
It is not about who is better, it is about who is more suited to our playing style

Well if Adebayor is worth 40M and Milan is willing to pay that, I would say pay 5m extra and get Benezma(can't spell his name). Since Benezma can actually finish a pass.
As for R10, I think Milan will either sign R10 or sign Mancini, one of those two.
As for the Simic thing, him staying for now is to show teams(Udinese) that Milan do have enough CB....that way Zapata can come cheaper.

I doubt that..
I'm talking about NEXT season. Ronaldinho hardly played at all.
It's so interesting one bad season and people are writing him off. One good, not even great, but good season, Boriello is the second coming. Gila had 3 sub par seasons here, and people still defended him for most of his time here.
Don't get me wrong I like Vargas, but there is always room for a player like Ronaldinho. R10, can do for us what Kaka does...take over and win a game that we have no business winning.
People who say R10 is done, should never be asking for a Sheva to return. After 2 horrible seasons what gives you the idea he'll return to form? And he's older than R10, so is Seedorf.
A 50% R10 would clean the floor with Seedorf. I'm not gonna stick up Seedorf just because he's in our colors.
R10 would bring a serious offensive punch to our team. Seedorf is old and doesn't help cover the LB. So many times I saw him visibly tired and unable to keep up with the run of play, forget about helping in the LB.
He's a legend in our minds because of his CL exploits...last season he wasn't good and I can't see him getting better or being able to fulfill the role he has been for the past few years in an adequate manner.
Quite funny how a candidate for a presidency can make a guarantee like this. Pato? He is CRAZY.
http://www.goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=724262
Prospective Barcelona President Sandro Rosell is reportedly promising to bring Alexandre Pato to the club, if he wins the race to take over at Camp Nou.
Former Nike supremo Rosell is set to challenge for the Barcelona presidency in September, and as is always the case in these Spanish-style contests, challengers make pledges over which players they will sign if they get in power.
Rosell, who aims to rebuild Barca following two trophyless years, has stated that he will sign "a star not fully established, but someone who will excite the Nou Camp, and it is believed that this player is AC Milan wonderkid Alexandre Pato.
Pato is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, and he has had a stunning start to life in Serie A after arriving from Internacional in Brazil, scoring nine goals in just 19 games since debuting for Milan in January this year.
Milan are highly unlikely to ever consider a sale, and indeed there are reports that they have become angered by Rosell’s intentions.

There are plenty of formations that we could come up with to get the best out the team if we included R10.
Think out of the Kaka, Seedorf, Pato, box. Can't use Ronaldinho? You know we finished 5th this year with the above players?

40 million Euros for Adebayor?!? Please... I'm not sure he's worth that, seems like a desperate move if there's any truth to it. :p231:

40 m € for Adebayor is just crazy and ridiculous, how could Berlu and Galiani be that stupid? 40 m cant easly buy R10 and another young Brazilian player or they can add another 10 to this amount and buy Benzema, please tell me its just another rumor.
I dont know about the news about Adebayor if it's right or not, but for me many players are interested in joining Milan even Milan play in UEFA next season. Ask why?

My bad...what I meant to say is that we really shouldn't have got rid of Gila as he was just about to turn the corner, and we should really re-sign Sheva...I mean it's a different Sheva, one that can speak English.

Personally, I don't think CL matters when it comes to Milan, as players only want to play on CL team b/c those are the teams that can pay high wages. IT is better for them to come out and say, "I enjoy the competitions thats why I want to play on a CL team." than, "I think only certain clubs can pay for my ideal wages...." Beside, players know that Milan will be back in CL next season, so no worries there. I do feel sorry for Vargas if he goes to Viola as they will not be in CL next season.

I think learning English is the downfall of a footballers' career. As I remembered I was a pretty good footballer when I was 5 but then I began taking English lessons and that was the end of my footballer's life.. SO SAD:devf:

Agreed, once you learn the language it sucks your ability & talent to play the game. :zany:
Only a select few are exempted, scientist are still trying to find the reason for this.:dontkn:
Ok so Fernando Torres has come out and just supported the claims that the EPL is a scorer's paradise. I won't disagree with him since he knows far more about what he's talking about than I will ever know. But I will say that the EPL of today isn't the EPL of yesteryear and that they couldn't be that bad to be doing so well in the CL every year. However if Torres has labeled the epl defenders as inferior to a typically gung-ho league like La Liga the probability that he wouldn't have been that good for Milan is reasonably high.
I remain firmly against the arrogance that "League X" >"League Y" when the evidence says that they are equal and there are many examples of players that flopped in the EPL but were close to godlike in stature in Spain and Italy, but I must take this time to apologise the members that I have so firecely argued with regarding Torres most notably hwmook . The guy hinself basically said "I'm not that good it's jus that the epl sucks" :kap:

interesting indeed, you were just saying that Seedorf will suck cuz he was bad this season ;)
and @Gila case, I was one of his "supporters", but i didnt support his performances, I only disagreed with people who said he's the reason behind our failure ;)(dont get me wrong, I have nothing against you :P)
Will Barcelona replace Deco with another Portuguese player ? The Catalan club officials are seriously thinking about such possibility. After the acquisition of Malian midfielder Seydou Keita (28) from FC Seville, another midfield reinforcement is on the way to Barcelona : the young and creative Portuguese playmaker Joao Moutinho (21) from Sporting Lisbon. Barcelona are ready to offer about 20 million Euros.
this is news that i hate, i hate barcelona, i really hate, Barcelona, i mean i really really hate barcelona, "the reason may seem dumb, but its because it is my brothers team, and its just sibling rivalry, but it lead to me hating the club." but i cannot fathom Moutinho going to that club, it will be worse than when ibrahimovic (one my favourite player) joined Inter (the only club i hate worse than Barca).
Mr. Anonymous: I already gave reasons for why Gila's first season is not even close to failure.
R10 will be great if he comes.
And I don't agree with Boriello signing, but who knows ;0.

Difference between Seedorf and Dinho's bad year: Dinho was injured - Seedorf wasn't. Plus at his age, it is perfectly logical to assume Seedorf's deteriorating form will continue in the future while Dinho at 28 can (and likely will) bounce back.

I think Seedorf just lost motivation in unimportant matches, which is a very dangerous thing for players like him, since his workrate is his best asset as a footballer. Players like R10 or R9 can play bad or lose motivation in 89mins of the match, but when they are given one chance, they create something, thats what made them great.
