View Full Version : Summer Mercato
So let's put all the rumours of these last days:
- Scheva (10 M ??)
- Drogba (20 M ??)
- Carrizo (seems like Lotito said no, so there was/is/will be something between him and Milan)
- Adebayor (unavailble) -> Hleb
- Zambrotta (since December so he won't come lol)
- Alex Silva
- Thiago Neves
2 Forwards, 2 Defenders, 2 Midfields, 1 GK
Is it a key for the next mercato ??
Shevchenko excludes Alex Silva and Thiago Neves.
All of them are non-EU players, playing for teams outside Italy.
Only one such player can be bought during the year.
I didn't say they would be bought, the "key" is only the conclusion ...
Anyway, some people said that Alex Silva had an EU-passport, so it let the club buying him+Scheva, even if actually, this Thiago Neves doesn't seem bad and could be useful for the club !!

Berbatov/Amauri , Zapata and some good cover for the midfield would be ideal, someone to come off the bench and do some damage to the oppositions defence. I think Quaresema would be ideal.

Mark my words, friends: if really done, it will a great signing! Thiago Neves is a footballer gifted with great intelligence and vision of the game, and also with powerful shoots; besides that, he can play out wide on the left, something that can gives us a sorely needed option in terms of attacking actions.
OMG.. if this signing is true that will be great signing.. great passing, both feet alive and above all he still young :grinser: plz buy him Berlusconi.. before he becomes famous and the price is unbeliveable.he is in the Brazil national team for Olympics and if he blows in Beijing.. there you go the price becomes beyond reality ;)
Benzema+Thiago+Frey+ 1young defender who is ready to use age < 25 (have no idea :grinser: ) + Quaresma (i don't think he is really necessary in Milan but i accidentally falling love with him :D ).Lord.. that just sounds amazing.. although if Gigi considers to move to us i will fainted instantly :)
Thiago video:

defined awesome ;)
Reports in England suggest Milan are after Flamini.
That gould be a great move as he is a free player and is waaay better then emerson and Brocchi. Him and Aquilani would complete our midfield needs. And it would mean Seedorf would be used only as an attacking midfielder and would not play as a starter anymore.
haha, alright mrki. I was just teasing ;).

Shevachenko? Come on...Curva doesnt want him. People cried, begged, send petition and so on...he left for money. Now go and sit on the bench mr.Sheva.
I dont think Belusconi would be stupid enough to just sign Sheva back. He is very much in danger of isolating the fans. With the responce on gazetta.it the management really will have to pull there finger out. If Inter sign aguero its going to be even harder for us to catch up next year. We do need a revolution. New ideas, new tactics. Unlesss Galliani thought the Empoli was the best game Milan has ever played.
Pato is good, but hes prematurely overhyped in italy, we need other players to take the focus away from him a bit. Then he really will blossom for us.
But Sheva wiull come back you will see. And Galliani will say that now we have our hero back and the best young player, and Pippo and Boriello who was top scorrer last season and other bull....it...
Benzema will end up in Barcelona, Aguero in Chelsea, Drogba in Madrid or something like that. And Milan will get Sheva the TRAITOR, Zambrotta, Boriello and change Gila for Frey. And we will be "fine" becouse Darmiani is also a great player and so on Emerson...
Not wrong mrki, even Ambro said today or yesterday he would like Scheva to come back ...
I'm pretty sure we're going to see him with us next season, all I hope is that he won't be a starter, and that someone else will come too (if possible, not Borriello but a world class player such as Aguero, Benzema, Berbatov or Drogba).
But it seems like our management wants to take the easy-way for the next mercato: not searching someone new, even a guy not too known, and taking our former star back without knowing if he could still serve us ...
Another wonderful summer in store for us it seems.
It will be a great season, we will have EIGHT strikers according to Galliani Fester: Pato, Sheva, Ronaldo, Inzaghi, Boriello, Paloschi, Kaka', Seedorf...
From which ONE is in condition to play 40-50 games per season - Pato, one will be injured all season - Ronaldo, one is 32 and will probably also be injured some part of the year - Sheva, one is 35! and will be injured for at least 4 months during the year - Pippo and one has no experience - Paloschi. Also, one of them is actually a midfielder - Kaka' and one of them is a CENTRAL midfielder and also 32 and not fit all the time - Seedorf!
So this is our plan, just so you know...
I remember that our Winter Mercato thread went up to 600 pages...
And we all knew what anti-climax ending Uncle Fester gave us...
I think they are planting the seed early... "we don't need a revolution" spheel... which means we'll probably only sign 2-3 players... and we can forget about Benzema, management going cheap again...

What's his work rate like? How fast is he? Can he put in a decent tackle?
He sounds like a versatile player who'd be a good addition to the squad. Abraão, where are you when i need some insider knowledge? :grinser:
Iīm back, my friend!!
Regarding T. Neves, I really donīt understand this Nedved comparission...Since you asked, his work rate is far from Nedvedīs level...isnīt even fair to compare T. Neves with Nedved.
T. Neves is playing the best fotball of his young carrer(no doubt), but heīs more a AMD than a Nedved type of midfielder. IMO, in our squad and scheme, the only posistion that Tiago can play is the Kaká role.
Long time ago in this thread, I said that only one brazilian player could be groomed as a "new Seedorf", and that one was Anderson, now in M. United. Seedorf is a unique player(the old Seedorf, not this lazy and selfish that we see in these days) with his combination power and gret skills. Anderson as a formar LB and strong body, could be this player for us, but Alex Ferguson was more wise and fast and this future satr is now out of reach...
Back to T. Neves, while heīs tearing up here in Brazil, I still donīt have confidence that heīs worth to take or EU spot in our team. To be straight, IMO Tiago isnīt Milan material(while with Oddo, Favalli, Emerson, Gourcuf, Oliveira, Gilla...in these days, this term is at least suspect). Man, if I have to buy one player from this Fluminense team, it would be Arouca, no doubt. A complete and classic defensive MID that can also create for him and the team...a real "poor man Seedorf"...more defensive force and less skills...but more skilled than any of our DM but Pirlo...

Back to the summer mercato: My way to revamp this team and bring back Scudetto and CL title.
- keeper:(I still have faith in Dida, but only if heīs at 100% of his physicals condition) and since no one can guarantee this anymore, we need a new great one):
Buffon would be a dream, but since itīs only this, I think the 3 Diegos(yes add Diego Cavalliery to that list) are worth a look. Frei and Amelia IMO are overrated, and Gomes(PSV) while would be my first choice is a non-EU...
RB and LB
- Daniel Alves(EU- Player): This guy is unbelievble. Last season he played ALL Sevilla games(suspension aside) without to lose a step. People wondering why a RB has such a high price...heīs isnīt a normal RB, Daniel is a playmaker at RB spot. And also for the ones asking for his defensive skills, remember that last season Juande Ramos gives Daniel an free role in Sevilla...but you just need to go 2 years ago...he played as a real RB, and was one of the few players to stop Ronaldinho Gaucho(the great one, and not his shadow)...Alves was also the MVP oe UEFA Cup and UEFA cup final...
- Zambrotta: A no brainer...but, I really hope that he doesnīt put "an Oddo" with Milan. He was bad at Barįa, but I still have faith that a come back to Italy and Milan will revamp his career
CB
- Alex (Non-Euro spot): Yes, I still have faith :5ok: My boy started the season slowly in Chelsea, but as the time goes on, he shows his qualities. Itīs not easy to be a sub behind 2 legends of Chelsea(Carvalho and Terry) but even at that situation, Alex proves one more time why heīs a WC defender...this thread at a Unnoficial Chelsea forum shows more:
http://forums.cfcnet.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=33697&st=0
Alex -> arguably the best purchase of the year. Started with a couple of shaky games but in the end he made people wonder if we really want JT back in the squad!! (although JT set us straight, I have to say, with a superb comeback)
Alex is doing great at Chelsea(like in PSV and Santos), but the good news is that after months of great displays, he was droped of the starting 11 before the final against Totenham(sp?)to give J.Terry a starting place, and that really hurts Alex(and Ballack). Of course J. Terry is the captain, but that drop wasnīt fair, and shows for him that at Chelsea does not help to outplay Carvalho or Terry, because they have divine rights at Chelsea back.
- Some Italians squad defender like Bonera: Ferrari??
- MID
Pay the price to purchase Aquilani(sp?), period!!!!
- Flamini: While his behaviour at our 2 games against Arsenal was a shame, we REALLY needs some mids with speed and that can outrun people in the midfield...
- Keita(Sevilla): I donīt know if heīs a no-euro, but the guy is pure class!!! And also can cover and create his own chances...But if he is a non-Euro, sorry...a dominant and imposer defender like Alex is much more needed!
- FW
Luis Fabiano(EU-player):Some years ago we have greats debates here in MM about him or Gilardino...while I was very hapy when we brought Gila, Fabiano was my first choice. He would cost little and, is strong, can create his own shot and has a great feeeling with Kaká.
So...with this team: Carlo won Scudetto, Champions and Italia Cup
----------------------??? or Dida-------------------------
---Daniel Alves-------Nesta---------Alex-----Zambrota----
--------------------------Pirlo----------------------------
-------Gattuso if fit!!----------------Aquilani-------
--------------------------Kaká---------------------------
---------------Pato-----------------Luis Fabiano---------
Subs:Dida or ???, Maldini(with this team he can play one more year)Bonera, Ferrari, Kaladze, Janku, Ambrosini, Flamini, Pozzi(Is he still a Milan player??), Seedorf, Inzaghi, Borriello...
With this team, 2008/09 would be a dream season :5ok:
Long time ago in this thread, I said that only one brazilian player could be groomed as a "new Seedorf", and that one was Anderson, now in M. United. more skilled than any of our DM but Pirlo...
I agree with you. After watching him play with MU, Anderson is the most suitable replacement for Seedorf. He is an attacking midfielder with good defensive skills.
But he was too expensive as MU brought him to Manchester.

I'm a little surprised there's been no mention (he slipped my mind too) of Mario Gomez, the German International as a potential forward purchase for us. This guy fits the big (same height as Drogba) forward mould that we could use, with technique and the ability to hold up the ball and play in others, which at 23, seems an interesting player.
This season and last he's been tearing apart opponents in the German league and currently is top scorer and seen as the new striking hope of German football (compared to Bierhoff, though I'd say that's mostly due to both being big). To put this in perspective, Gomez (at mid table Stuttgart) is ahead of Toni as top goalscorer in the Bundesliga.
The only doubt is whether he can step up at an Internationally recognized club where pressure is greater, unlike Gila who until now hasn't done so. That said, he has scored 3 goals in 4 appearances in CL this season.
I heard he was linked to us, though I cannot provide a source (anyone know if there are rumours?)
Abraão, nice to see you back my friend. Did you have a nice birthday? I hope you did and had a nice Brazilian style party :D
I don't remember the player's name, but there's a young left-back in Brazil Chelsea & Real Madrid are allegedly battling for. Makes me wonder what has happened to Marcelo if Real are looking for yet another LB.

Yeah, Thiago Neves plays in a completely different way to Nedved, the only thing in common between the two, and the reason for the nickname, are the long-range screamers. I know he would be a good signing, there's no doubt in my mind he is a good football player, but I would take a bunch of other AMs before him. We really need someone to take the pressure off Kaka and Seedorf, someone to play the AM role while we rest one of them, and to try and give them some competition. The best option would indeed be Anderson, but like you said he's now out of reach. If there is a brazilian AM we should get fot the job, I'd personally like to see Milan going for Renato Augusto, he's not as solid and established as Neves, but has a higher ceiling. It's true he is a bit overhyped tho. About Arouca, I agree that he is a very good and solid player, but we're already stacked with players for his position.
Edit: if I had to compare Neves with another player, it would probably be Alex of Fenerbahce, but the later being miles ahead of him.

Man, after almost 3 months in a bed recovering from a serius injure, not only my birthday, but also the Carnival had been great(and crazy) :D
Regarding this young left-back, I really did not hear nothing here in Brazil...can you give me a link or the name of the brazilian Club??? Since Marcelo, I canīt remember one LB worth a battling of 2 big clubs...
Marcelo is doing good for his first REAL season at Madrid. The club gave him permission to go to another club gain more experience, but the boy chose to stay and fight for space. And Marcelo gained Schuster confidence.
Of corurse, as a young lef-back, he has a lot to learn(most in defense). While Marcelo improved a lot in his defense, he still is atrocious in the aerial game...
BTW, Marcelo was instrumental in the last Real Madrid win and I really canīt see Real purchasing another young LB.
Yep, this Alex Silva rumour pop here out of nothing, saying that we already have signing him...but since the repercussion was small, I believe and hope this is just a rumour...and thinking about our way to buy(or try to) players here in Brazil, Itīs even more strange.
I remember Braida came to Brazil to watch Alex (Chelsea) personally. Galliani was also seen in the stadium with Kakáīs father to watch Marcelo(Real Madrid) to play...Also with Pato, they go to Canada and came to Brazil to watch the boy personally. Kaká had Leonardo all over him for some time...while in this Alex Silva and Tiago Neves rumours, I canīt find nothing about a milan director here. I hope this is just the work of some agents trying to take a piece of our poor year and trying to hype his players.
Back to Alex Silva, Pirulito(his nickname) isnīt a bad defender, but no way heīs Milan material or worth a non-euro spot...at least with whats he shows until now. Alex wasnīt even the best defender at São Paulo(Miranda and Breno outplayed Alex by far). Heīs tall, versatile(play also as a right-back) and is a threat in aerial game...but if I was at Milan officce, and stay away from him. IMO it would be a desesperate and wrong move...

Good post, Kulspruta...
When I said that Renato Augusto is overrated, itīs because some people here in Brazil think heīs the next Zico...the guy has potential, but still is a prospect...Lulinha, Kerlon and Renato Augusto(as you said) have a high ceiling, but until they show this in their respective first team(like Pato did at Internacional), I donīt think they are worth a big investiment.
Regarding Arouca, his no-EU condition is the problem. I agree we are stacked at his position, but besides Pirlo and the old-Seedorf , I trade Emerson, Brochi, Gourcuf and Ambrosine for him...
I have to agree Dani Alves in not just a normal fullback, this man is a genious fullback and a genious player. he can paly as a pure winger and also as a pure RB. HE IS NOT BAD AT DEFENDING AT ALL, and his attacking abilities are perfect for a team that has Gattuso on the right side. His crosses are brilliant and he reads game as good as any creative midfielder. Whatever the price will be, he is worth it. when he moves to a stronger club you will all see that Alves in the best right fullback in the world.
Aldough Zambrotta is the besk left ( yes, left not right ) fullback, and when he was at Juve he was even more perfect then Alves now.
those two players would transform our team completely.
Has Dani Alves the mentality to come to Milan ? I mean, when I read all his declarations, even if he is a top player, I wouldn't want a guy like that in the team ... anyway, stop dreaming, we won't buy him, he is at least rated to 25M , our management won't put that money for a RB !!
I'd like to see Diego from Werder as Kaka sub or Seedorf sub ... he's the only guy able to change a match in this Werder team, and it seems like he will leave Germany this summer (I don't think that Werder will sell for the second consecutive year one of its top players to Bayern for example). Ad he could be bought for 15-20M I think ...
Kulspruta
10-03-2008, 16:55
Nah, I think he won't come that cheap. He was voted the best bundesliga player last season, and was the big favorite for the accolade again this year until that shoulder charge got him suspended. He's only 22 years old too, and definitely not a player to be benched. He comes in the #10 classic playmaker mould, so I don't know if he would fit right now in our team, as we're probably looking for a somewhat more wide kind of player. He's also the hotest AM in the market right now, and both Real Madrid and Juventus may go for him in the summer. His price tag is probably about 25-30m .
I'm pretty sure he can take Seedorf role in the team (in the 4-3-2-1 scheme) and play very well with Kaka'. He could also score a lot of goals because he has very good skills in attack too, not only passing.
We couldn't miss a player like that.
The problem, you're true, would be when we play 4-3-1-2, where could he play on the pitch ? I only see him like Kaka' sub in this formation.
For his price, I would say 20-25M lol.
Actually he's another dream for us that will probably never come, not in a near future anyway.
What was your serious injury Abraão? I'm glad you are ok now though and able to enjoy both your birthday & the carnival. I would love to see and be there for the carnival one year, although i'd settle for just visiting Rio :D
I've managed to find who Chelsea & Real Madrid were chasing, it's an 18 year old Santos Left-Back called Thiago Carleto. It was in an English newspaper so i wouldn't read anything into it, but apparently both clubs were going to pay about Ģ5 million for him.
Whilst searching for that rumour, i came across this:
MILAN, Appear the baby talent Dentinho
Source: www.milannews.it
His name is Dentinho and he is one of the most interesting names of Paulistao 2008: the 19 year old, Bruno Ferrera Bonfim is the first striker that yesterday has scored twice with Corinthians' jersey.
In Brazil there are rumors about Milan interest , after the one of Real Madrid and Arsenal. The player value is about 4 million euros.
Do you know anything about either Dentinho or Thiago Carleto?
A sidenote: this non-sense thing aebout Milan going to buy thise and that player from internet soccer outlet like goal.com / soccernet / newspaper are going to go NONSTOP for the rest of the season.
Extremely annoying.
In fact, I think this is a conspiracy plot against Milan in order to further bring dissonance among team players. I'm not a big fan of talking about summer transfer until it actually starts (we can of course discuss it here), and it simply sickens me to see so many stupid rumors about Milan buying this and that when it obviously won't happen or when the person actually didn't say that.

Dentinho is doing well for Corinthians, when everybody expected Lulinha to be the youngster taking the team over. In all honesty, I don't see anything special about this boy, he is a good player and already very mature, having fitted in a troubled senior team like a glove, but I don't think he'll ever be world-class. I could be wrong though, as I haven't watched a lot of Corinthians' games this season.
Thiago Carleto started to get some recognition in the Copa Sao Paulo (an u18 cup in Brazil, many players are scouted in it), playing for a great Santos side, with the likes of Thiago Luíz (that new Messi guy according to Marca, there's nothing of Messi in him though), Alemão, Paulo Henrique (the less hyped but imho, the best of them all), and the 15yo boy Neymar. Now he got promoted to the senior team, because this Santos senior team is a mess right now. Of the few yougsters promoted he's the one who has adapted the best, however he's by no means the most talented. He has a hard left-foot shot, like Roberto Carlos, has a good work-rate and average to good speed and technical skills. Not such a huge prospect, but he might make a name for himself in the next few years in the brazilian league.

I really think that our current problem is not a question of money, but more a question of mentality.
that is a very good point and i would have to agree on that...with the current mentallity we have bought players(exception of pato) that are old and really should not be in the team..(favalli,emerson,brocchi,ba) ..and now that gila is a flop the managment nees to admit that he cant play in milan and just let him go ...instead of labeling him as our future...we absolutely have no subs in the MF that can come in for anyone when seedorf or ambro or pirlo pr gattuso are injured...had we bought ribery..or quersama or a class MF the situation would not be this bad...
Defense: Hopefully zambrotta is a sure signing but if we can get dani alves or vargas it would really help
Midfield: addition of Nasri/quersema although there are reports of thiago neves which would not be a bad option either depends on if he really is what people say he is..we need players who can stretch the defense..also flamini would be an amazing addition can easily replace max or gattuso he was great against us in both legs
Strikers/Forward: my first option would be Benzema he is simply amazing but he has stated that he wants to stay another year at lyon....although i get the feeling drobga will be the one that the managment would go for...

it would be great if milan get flamini and aquilani for free (out of contract too, i guess). Plus Ibrahim Afellay of PSV for midfield.
then milan could splash out big money for 1 world class striker either benzema or david villa.
For defence, vargas of catania for left fullback, Ferrari from Roma and well, let our board wish be realized zambrotta come in :)

Well, that's media all over Jeff. Why would you fell annoyed anyway? And btw, I don't think it's a conspiracy against Milan. That's just their job: spreading BS, which in some ways are similar to our board's promises.
I saw Affellay against Spurs last week and he was pretty good. A strong runner, had some tricks about him, some pace too. Not sure if he's ready to move on just yet, but he could be a great prospect.
Berlusconi is once again promising us a superstar this summer, but it won't be Ronaldinho. Now where have we heard that one before Silvio? :rollani:

he would be good for Milan if we don't get any big signing. but i knew we were linked w/ him just a while ago when i saw it in goal.crap so i don't trust it that much
Ironic i mention Gomez yesterday and today there are a number of rumours about him to us.

Yesterday i watched a tv football show and Berlusconi spoke there, while the journalists asked him about the upcoming market news.
He basically said not to worry, he will open the wallet up. He said we'll strenghten the team in every department , but won't make a revolution. He specifically mentioned "we'll strenghten the defence" and "we're looking for a first powerful striker". Once the jornalists asked him a few names, he said : "i won't uncover our plans". It means they are already dealing the player, otherwise he would have said a few names and waited for the reaction from the fans.
My personal idea is: we're dealing Luca Toni. I would welcome Toni any day, the guy is practically unmarkable. But this is just my gut feeling.
-----------------------------------------------
He said: "Ronaldinho, no thanks". He said that we have two fantastic guys in Kakā and Pato, and Ronaldinho bad attitude could affect these players. He said we're looking for a player with other characteristics. He said that Ronaldinho's behaviour wouldn't suit Milan's morale code and would unbalance the dressing room.
----------------------------------------
On another note, Damiani, a preheminent football agent, who was Shevchenko's agent and the agent of many important players, when journalists asked about the rumours that link Flamini with Milan, he smiled and he said he can't say anything. I think this rumour is getting bigger than just an internet fairy tale. Watch out, because Flamini would be a fantastic and cheap signing.
It's a realistic rumour, because free agents with a contract expiring in summer usually sign a new contract in february/ march.
Actually when i heard news about Flamini, i really hope that he really can join with Milan, beside he is cheap and relatively young. He would be versatile for us as back-up for Ambro/Gattuso, he even can play as left back ( remember season 2005/2006 ) pretty well.
Striker ? Yes we really need one, but i agree he must be world class such as Drogba/Toni or possibly cheaper but has talent and enough experience, possibly Pandev,Mario Gomez or even Adebayor.
The following players are MUST for AC Milan to challenge for the CL + Scudetto next season. ACM is a huge club & this policy of going for CL lonely every season is wrong. As I have said one before, this shocking defeat to those school kid wouldn't have hurt that much severely, if ACM were still in the search of the 18th Scudetto. This is much more worse time than the defeats to the Deportivo & Liverpool, because ACM fans had some thing to cheer then i.e 17th Scudetto & being the Best club of the world respectively.
Igor Akinfeev
Thank God, no more d!da. Full marks to Kalac, but ACM desrvs better, I mean the very best. Buffon won't come, Cech will be very expensive & the other options left are Casilles, Hilderbrand, Valdez & Akinfeev (imo). So iguess Akinfeev would be a great choice as he is young & already had plenty of experience at the big stage. Plus he is very cute :5ok:
Daniel Alves
ACM is at its best when the full backs are bombing forward and putting crosses in againg and again. Daniel Alvez is like the Cafu of 2003-2005 & what better ACM could ask for? No disrespect to Oddo, but he has really disappointed in the recent times. But both Alvez & Oddo could play, as the there are 38 league matches, 13 UCL matches + Coppa Italia :devf:
Gianluca Zambrota
Lets sign him & get the best out of him for next 2-3 years. he has lost a bit in Barca (imo). At ACM he would become the Zomby of WC 2006. Just imagine, Daniel Alvez from right & Zambrota from left,...........plenty of crosses & some goals :510:
Poulsen
No disrespect to Ambrosini, but ACM now needs some one much tougher for the big matches considering the fact that Gattuso is also not the same phsical street fighter of 2-3 yeasr ago. I can't see any one being a better fighter than Pousen, maybe J.Masherano, but he has played for Liverpool so he is not allowed at ACM or at least I would not welcome such player :rone:
Frank Lampard
Seedorf still as a world class player but lacks consistency. To win a league, a club needs a hard working & consistent performer like Frank Lampard. Plus he would guaruntee 20+ goals, which means virtually 1 more striker. But Chelsea would be the biggest fools on Earth if they let Frank Lampard go, a true Legend :respect:
Choices for a new striker: Messi or Benzema or Villa or Huntelaar or Drogba
Linol Messi
Barca would be idiots if they let go this magician. If I was Barca, i would have let Henry, Ronaldinho & Eto'o go but not this kid. They best young player of the world, sorry but our Pato is no where near this sublime player. He would simply make a partnership with Kaka and play just behind Gila or Pato. It would be like having Cryuff+Maradona+van Basten (in case of Gila) or Cryuff+Maradona+Ronaldo (in case of Pato) in the same team :firedev:
Karim Benzema
42 million pounds is a mind blowing amount of money which the Lyon Boss has put the tag on Benzema. But in couple of years time this amount could go to 70 million or maybe even more. Because the way I see it after 10 years when fans like us will discuss about he best strikers of the last 30 years or so in forums. Their list would contain these names:-
van Basten, Batistuta, Ronaldo & Benzema. Though I would like to see his hair grow more. Short hairs suck
David Villa
My personal favorite choice. He has got every thing to become the best forward of the world. Style, streght, technique & you just name it..........
He will form a stunning partnership wil Gila or Pato in no time. Especially with Gila, as Gila will play like Inzaghi & Villa just like that ex-Dynamo Kiev man (#7). ACM fans will remember them as Gil-Vil-A force :1five:
Klaas Jan Huntelaar
If Fernando Torres can go to Liverpool and become such a hit player, then Huntelaar could come to ACM and become twice as good. The reason why van Basten treats this fellow so badly is that he is afraid that this young striker could go above him in the list of greatest Dutch strikers. He could become an ideal partner to Pato & our new # 9 :devs:
Didier Drogba
If non of the above mentined strikers is available then Drogba is the final palyer who could solve the goals problem in ACM. The great thing about him is that he can play own his own upfront & at the same time can create chances for him self unlike Gila who requires the service (No doubts about his finishing skills though), which is very important specially for the away matches in Europe. Chelsea took ACM's clinical finisher, lets make them taste of their own medicine by taking Drogba away from Stamford Bridge :5130:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Super-Sub Jon Dahl Tomasson
Lets bring back this 'unsung hero'. If ACM had JDT on the bench, he would have stepped on to the pitch and scored the winner in the 83th minute. He has just won the La Liga title for Real Madrid, despite not being their player. He recently scored 80th minute winner against Barcelona in the Camp Nou, creating an 8 point gap b/w Real & Barca.
If ACM can have these players than no one can stop ACM both in Italy & Europe.
I love you 'AC Milan'

[QUOTE=Jim_UK]What was your serious injury Abraão? I'm glad you are ok now though and able to enjoy both your birthday & the carnival. I would love to see and be there for the carnival one year, although i'd settle for just visiting Rio :D
Jim, several years ago I had a serious injure at lumbar column, and I had to abandon the football(yes, I almost becaming a professional player :D )...and with this accident, the old injure came back and as result I was forced to be in a bed for almost 3 months...
Rio has a great Carnival to watch...but if you want "fun", Salvador is the best place on earth :D And if you want to come here, just talk to me!!
I know Thiago Carleto, and Kulspruta gives a good description about Tiago here. But I just wants to add that Marcelo at 17 was the best player at Fluminense first team, while Thiago is fighting for the starter job. Heīs playing, but still needs to show more and hold his place...But if I have to put my money in one Santos player, it would be Neymar...this kid could be great!
Regarding Dentinho, IMO this is the pure crap rumour...Milan out of the CL, fighting for the 4th place...so, the kid scores last week and all of suden Milan directors are after him? This boy is just a project, and I donīt think heīs that good...

Not the fastest around but certainly faster than Ringho and Ambro.......Flamini (free) would be the best buy of the summer if it happens. Flamini can battle for first team with Max and ringhio, unlike Emo and brochi and can cover the left flank when needed.

Toni would be a amazing addition!!
BTW, more than in any countrie, why Italia has so much "revelations" at 30 years old?? Like Tony, we can saw several players shining delayed...or itīs just a false impression???
I don't think the striker is Toni, could be good (even if he's old), but I think, unfortunately, that this "powerful striker" will be ... argh the very powerfull Scheva lol !!
There's a news I read today ... the Ukrainian player would look for a house in Milan ...
For Flamini, he would be a good signing, but why doesn't he sign a new contract with Arsenal ? It seems like he is more often a starter and he is more and more important for Arsenal ... anyway, the fight will be rude for all the clubs wanting him to come. But I think he would be better in Milan for example than in Real Madrid.
Saw a news this morning too: Anigo, one of the managers of Marseille, said Gourcuff was in their short-list for the next mercato and that he would be perfect to play with Nasri, even if he doesn't know if Nasri will stay.
So are we going to buy Nasri by giving them Gourcuff ??
I don't like this idea, Nasri has been injured this year many times whereas he is young, he doesn't have come back to his level for moment, and since Valbuena exploded to a high-level with Gerets arrival as Marseille's coach, since Niang plays well with Cissé, it's like if Nasri was useless in this team, and so, he would be too in such a big team like Milan !!
Flamini has everything to take one of the starting spots in our midfield. Right now he's playing better than either Gattuso or Ambrosini. He does a hell of alot of running & tracking back, which is a good start ... and he can score goals, albeit not many, but check out his rocket against Newcastle at the Emirates and it's something neither of our 2 DMs could do. Plus i think he's better/more comfortable on the ball than either Ambrosini or Gattuso.
Zeekay picks up a good point on Lampard, the fact that he's a regular goal scorer. When was the last time we had a central midfielder who scored reasonably consistently? Seedorf was never a big scorer, neither are Ambrosini or Gattuso, which only leaves Pirlo and apart from that one season where he got about 15 goals, he's been subdued at the back of our midfield.
If Lampard is available on this cheaper deal because he's in the third year of his contract, we'd be a bit foolish to not make an offer. Lampard - Pirlo - Flamini would have a mix of everything ... goal threat, passing, strong runners.
And why Flamini doesn't sign a new contract ?
He doesn't want or Arsenal doesn"t want ??
And why Flamini doesn't sign a new contract ?
He doesn't want or Arsenal doesn"t want ??
Well the problem is the money, currently Flamini is around the 30K a week mark and he wants something like atleast 70K a week. Arsenal are refusing to pay him that much because the only player who earns near enough that type of money at Arsenal is Gallas and as much as Flamini has improved that much money is too much.
Arsenal have so far said more of a 'take it or leave it' deal around the 50K mark and Flamini hasn't said anything, this year Flamini has transformed into a monster and as much as I respect him as a player I don't think I can respect him as a person. The way he left Marseille was really harsh, basically he was like Nasri born and bred in Marseille and just before he was about to sign a real contract he went back on his word and signed with Arsenal (basically a club giving him everything and he spat it back in their face.)
As much as he is a good player you can clearly see he's someone who went back on his word, however he's still worth it. Milan fans got to see him in action in both games and he was immense, no wonder there is all this talk about Fabregas & Flamini being the best ever cm partnership for Arsenal. I would be a little disappointed if he left, but I wouldnt feel as if it is the end of the world. Plus I think he's ancestry is Italian and he did mention somewhere that he would love to play in Italy, but I have a feeling that if he does leave for Italy he'll end up with Juve.
Capello had an interwiew and said Milan only needs few player, not a revolution, but we can afford to make mistakes in the mercato again...
Luca Toni had a preagrement with Milan but Milan canceled it, when asked about it Toni answered something like this: " I dont want to talk about it...I ahd a deal and a deal failed through."
But, Toni and Pirlo are something like best friends if you guys didnt know. I wouldnt be surprised if Milan goes for Zambrotta, Toni from onder players, and Flamini and some young midfielder - south american. Maybe even toni and sheva, who knows. But to me, it all sounds like Lippi is gathering his team again :) I hope so at least!
If Im not wrong, I think I heard something about Flamini being in Maldini's shirt in some press conference. A shirt that he got after the game. Paolo's maybe last european worn shirt :( :( :( We bought Flamini with that shirt you know :)

But if I have to put my money in one Santos player, it would be Neymar...this kid could be great!
Indeed, he's already so mature for a 15yo. I hope he bulks up a little, if so he will definitely be a hell of a player. There's also that Jean Carlos Chera kid from that video from a couple of years ago, there hasn't been too much hype since then, but he got the top scorer and best player accolades in all of the tournaments he played for Santos, as an attacking midfielder. He's only 13 though lol. And there's Paulo Henrique PH10 from the Copa Sao Paulo, great prospect but for some reason he's being kept in the shadows of Thiago Luiz, Alemão and Carleto. And there's another small kid called Gabriel, I don't know much about him but people say he's the second most talented kid in the youth ranks, behind Jean Carlos and even in front of Neymar. And there's Kleber, the more established left-back. Why Dunga calls Gilberto up and forgets Kleber is beyond me.

Ok Ghost, yes it was what I noticed with this guy, he disgusted Marseille with what he did, and it seems like he will do the same with Arsenal ...
If Flamini comes to Milan, he will have to be more mature and interesting by the club ...
It's funny that nobody speaks about him in France, nobody saying that he could go in national team whereas guys like Alou Diarra (he's nothing but physical, Bordeaux), Lassana Diarra (used in RB, Porthsmouth), or even Patrick Viera (he's now a joke, can't pick up a ball and can't pass the ball, Inter, often injuried) play in this team. The climate is different in Milan, i respect Olympic and Arsenal, but the calibre of Milan is much much bigger. If he will not behave appropriatly he will not survive in our team. The most important thing is to buy him at first. This summer also Juve will make big transfers so we expect a very hot summer....

He would be a great sign! He is player i like very much.
Hey what is going on to chelsea? Rumours says that chelsea will have a big change and at the exit are Drogba,Lampard,Makelele,Beletti,Malouda,Sheva,Cudicini.
I think its a great opportunity to sign Drogba, lampard,Malouda! They are top class players.
Also Makelele,Sheva,Cudicini,Beletti would have been a top class bench!
Chelsea never won anything except Premierleague with Mourinho.
So don't take all their players !! lol
Only Drogba and perhaps Lampard (I don't think he would play well with us) from them would be enough. For others, let's target better players or younger players.
Anyway, a big NOOOOOO to Malouda in Milan !! This guy said so much bad things on Italian players, on Italy too, he's a sh!t in football (watch his matches since he is in Chelsea) and in life (left Lyon clearly for money whereas he was an icon there).
Same for guys like Lassana Diarra or Abidal, I couldn't understand if Italian clubs were targeting them one day ...
If it is true: Sheva is 10M , Flamini is free, Zambrotta is approximately 10M too I think, 30M for Adebayor, Amauri or Drogba ?! Nothing else, noone else ?!

Umm, no he's not, he plays in midfield and is a regular starter in that position. Glen Johnson plays RB.
What's this about?
"Via Dida e scartato Adebayor"
Dida for Adebayor? If that's the case we'd surely need another keeper as we can't go with just Kalac and possibly 1 from Storari or Abbiatti.
In addition to that list, i still think we would need another full-back (Vargas/Alves) and another midfielder (Lampard, Cigarini). If we could manage that, i'd be more than happy with Zambrotta, Alves, Lampard, Flamini, Adebayor & Shevchenko :)

The latest i know are:
Berlusconi said he wants to reduce the number of players, but having 17-18 first team possible regulars. We're not going to sign second rate pensioners anymore. We must have a worthy player coming from bench for every position.
I don't expect more than 5-6 signings.

I mentioned Flamini a few months back as a potential target, and I maintain my stance that he would be a good signing (especially as Gattuso and Ambro will have a firm fight for their spots).
Toni would be a amazing addition!!

I think it's usually due to the football climate and the way Italian youngsters are brought up. Whilst most countries have always traditionally looked to develop technical skills of young players, tactical play is usually secondary.
In Italy, tactics are taught from a very young age, and tactical discipline is drilled into players. Usually technical skills develop at a slower pace, while other elements important to the Italian game (a strong physique) develop with age. Players maturing is also very important in Italy, as it will help their tactical game and they will be more knowledgeable of how to react to events in the game.
The players that have the most hype in Italy at an extremely young age (under 20) are usually highly technical players, like Pirlo, Totti, Nesta, Buffon, Maldini or Baggio. Others, like Gattuso, Perotta, Toni and even Baresi (to some degree) had their talents recognized later as their physique and maturity developed.

now we can only watch Torres in Pool
With good reason we didn't sign the Spaniard - Jose Mari, Javi Moreno, Mendieta, Farinos. They brain fart in Italy. They can't cope with the tactical play, and I doubt Torres would either.
It means "Dida out. Adebayor rejected".
Any reason why Adebayor is rejected? When weighing up age, threat, pace, strength etc, he's equal to Amauri or Drogba.
In terms of the players you mention, none of them offer an adequate Kaka or Pirlo replacement. We would surely need someone with some techincal skill, wether it's for a central midfield spot or an attacking midfield spot.
I would loan Gourcuff to Marseille, unless they are happy to have him & cash for Nasri.
From a drop from Heaven. This post was breathtaking. :)

Marseille are intrested in Gourcuff, maybe we could loan him out there?

How do you know this?
I believe in destiny. And I believe simply that Torres destiny was in Atletico and is in Liverpool now.
But to say he wouldn't play well in Italy... How do you know? :)

I say we spend and get Diego from Werder, Luisoa from Benfica, Flamini, Daniel Carvalho from CSKA, Dani Alves and Sheva. We can recall Boriello and the others who are having greats seasons on loan. We can give away Gila, Favalli, Cafu, Simic and Serginho. That will cost us less than what it would take to get R10 and only a about 33% of what our major rivals are going to spend to strengthen their already strong squads.

Sorry, but... :stupid:
Ok, i will post an interpretation of my previous post, being evident there's need of explanation.
--> This is not my wish list, but what i think the club will do within the limit of 50 M euros.
It logically obvious if you're going to replace Favalli with Daniel Alves, you'll have few moneys for the other players.

Valencia is in big crisis!!! I just learned from a greek sport site that their president quited the team!
Valencia is having big problems.
I think we should take advantage of that and to try for some of their fantsastic players.
Villa,Silva,Joaquin,Vicente?
Villa AND Silva, difficult ... these guys could be bought for at least 35-40M , so buying both ?!
But the best could be: Villa, Silva, Banega.
No other guys, let's stop thinking it would be good to take all the players from another team, if they didn't won anything, there's a reason.
Actually, in this team, I would only take Silva and Banega right now.
I really like Villa, but I don't think he would be our big striker, look at his goal stats, he's very good, technical, but he doesn't score so much ...
As far as Villa is of the same height of Pato, he is quick despite the fact that Kuman uses him alone in front. Milan needs a tall, strong striker who will be good in scoring, thing that Gila does not do. I understund the enthusiasm of Rossoneri11 brcause Valencia has great players but we cannot take all the players of one team. Silva would be ideal, Joacquin is great but he doesn't fit in us. I would love to see the signings that Giovanni refered to with some changes, meaning Daniel Alves. I would love to see also Luca Toni in our shirt a player that Ancelotti wanted from last year...

i 100% agree with that. Flamini, Hamsik, Cigarini, Aquilani. I dream!
No can do. I was the first one who saw Hamsik in serie B last year and i even praised him on MM in Milan-Brescia Coppa matches last season.
That means i, and by this i mean Juve, have the right on Hamsik :D
Plus, Pavel Nedved is his idol and Nedved can't stop praising the young Slovak and calling him to join Juve.
He's strongly rumoured to be Juve's #1 objective this following summer. Juve already have two players in Napoli (Zalayeta and Blasi), both of them have great seasons so far and papers write about the deal beeing already done, where money+Zalayeta and Blasi will b what's Juve going to give for Hamsik (even though i doubt any deal is done)

:rr30: Didn't you already sign a world class midfielder with the likes of Sissowho? :guw:
Btw Tony, one week ago i saw Cristiano Zanetti in a fashionable city centre cafe- bookstore. The next match he injured himself. I think i sent him a maleficious influx...

I hope you'll never see another Juve player in your life (except Molinaro) :D
As for Sissoko, even though only i and Jim UK share this opinion, i think he is world class but he really needs brains :D
And about Hamsik, whoever gets him will get pure gold. It's not very often to see someone who has Nedved's work rate and shot, who has Beckham's crosses, who scores more than most of the midfielders do and who at the same time is only 20 years old. Plus he's versatile. His original position is attacking central midfielder, but i've seen him successfully playing on the left side and deeper in midfield.
First: Dida involved in Adebayor deal? HAHAHAHAHA! I have never heard such a ridiculous rumor! its not even a rumor, its pure lie! its like my mom invented it! Wenger taking 35 year old, out of form brazilian, who is half injured and is a sub to KALAC...yes, of course... And then Wenger and Primorac will include Sagna in the deal for Cafu...
"And about Hamsik, whoever gets him will get pure gold. It's not very often to see someone who has Nedved's work rate and shot, who has Beckham's crosses(...)" tony my man, I know you like this player, and he is good, but...not THAT good :) :) :) He is very good dough, even excellent...
100 for Carlo for mercato? It would be better Carlo just takes 10 mln for himself and leaves country :) then we have good coach 8 lippi 9 and 90 mln for mercato. In case if Carlo stays, they should just sell all of his DM's he collects carefully and make him play attacking football atleast in San Siro. We sell Emerson and Brocchi and leave him with only Gattuso and Ambro :) then Carlo gets into panic and goes personally to London to convince Falmini, hehehe...
Joking aside, today I was drinking coffee with my friend juventino and we talked about mercato so I made my 100mln Milan and he did his 100mln Juve :) here is mine:
GK: Lloris, Kalac, Fiori
DEFENCE: Oddo, Zambrotta, Vargas, NEsta, Kaladze, Bonera, Maldni !! he stays!!, Marzoratti, Favalli ( for coppa :) )
MIDFIELD: Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Brocchi ( coppa! :) ), Seedorf, Kaka', Jankulovski, Aquilani, Flamini( parameter zero :) )
STRIKERS: Benzema, Pato, Sheva, Pippo, Paloschi
That is a real squad, not this one we have this year! Hey, it was a nice day so we dreamed a bit... :guw:
and we sell: dida, sergio, cafu, emerson, GILA, Oliveira, Boriello...
Mrki, you were drinking coffee or Lozovaca ? :D
Because noone said Dida will go to Arsenal for Adebayor. That article says that Milan will get rid of Dida but you won't be buying Adebayor.
And of course Hamsik isn't that good as Nedved and Beckham. I'm not that stupid to claim so :P
But he's got enormous potential. He has it all and what i like about him is that he's not some talented kid with few tricks in him but he's a real fighter and very mature player. Add some long blond hair and make him dive from time to time and you get Nedved at 25.
The scarry thing is that Hamsik is not even 25 but he's 20 and he does all the things Nedved was doing at 25.

By the way, I like you team Mrki. From what I see almost everyone in here seems to agree with those signings, let's see if the board does as well.
I would give a chanse to Borriello...
Re: Hamsik.
Plus, Pavel Nedved is his idol and Nedved can't stop praising the young Slovak and calling him to join Juve.
Nedved was also calling for Jankulovski to join him at Juve before he left Udinese, saying he could be my replacement, etc, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if he said the same about Rosicky either. Lets face it, he's just lonely and wanted some more czech buddies around him before he retired. It's a disgrace that Juve have not met his czech compatriot needs :rr30: :D
Even though i'm not his biggest fan, i still think Lampard could be worth a punt.
i wouldnt mind cudicini as a backup. Frey, cudicini and Kalac would be good.
Cudicini could be a decent back up. I read somewhere that his father (or grand father?) used to play as a GK for Milan many years ago.

Milan prepare Ivan money?
Thursday 13 March, 2008
Former Roma goalkeeper Ivan Pelizzoli is the latest name in the frame to replace Nelson Dida between the posts for Milan.
The Rossoneri seem to have lost faith in Dida during this season after a campaign blighted by errors and injury.
Zeljko Kalac has impressed when called upon to stand in, but most experts believe that the world champions dont see the Australian international as a permanent first-choice.
Fiorentinas Sebastien Frey has been touted as Didas successor at San Siro, but the French star insists that he is staying in Florence and the search has widened.
Pelizzoli is currently plying his trade in Russia for Lokomotiv Moscow after signing from Reggina for around Ģ2m in January 2007.
An Atalanta youth product, the 27-year-old spent five years at Roma and made 73 appearances before losing his grip on the No 1 jersey.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Diavolo have been watching Pelizzoli and are weighing up a sizeable offer.
While Pelizzoli would surely jump at the chance to move to Milan, one stumbling block may be finding a suitor for Dida, who would need to be sold.

Hahaha, I somehow misunderstood post from MM about Dida and Adebayor. I tought someone wrote Milan will include Dida in Adebayor deal...
Anyway, it wasnt Loza ( but Im not sure people who are not from Balkan understand the joke ), haha...aldough in Croatia when some of your friends asks you " lets go for a coffee man?" It doesnt necessary mean you will be drinking coffee, it means you will go to the place where caffee is ALSO served, if you really want it :) :)
Bosniaco, you know I "hate" Brocchi and Favalli, but I dont see Milan selling them. Brocchi has restaurant and has a lotof job to do in Milano :) And Favalli is a "professor" as Galliani says and he isalso a part of the familiy, bla,bla...
Aldough my dream is Benzema I shink biggest odds are on for Sheva ( traitor! dont forget! ) and Toni. But we actually do need 2 strikers, as we have no healthy players unfront except the Duck.
Simic in sumer go to Tothem,Rino suport Sheva comback,Cesar 34 gomes in Milan as free agent,Milan loks on regina golman Pelizoli 27.
hello
if serginho is leaving, i see cezar filling his boots perfectly as if he didnot left.
simic is a fighter i wish him all the luck, England well be good for him.
Pelizzoli is good. I liked his saves in Roma. :)
Pellizoli in, Dida out
Is it a joke ?
And I don't wonder about Dida being sold, but about Pellizoli ?!
They spoke about Frey, Lloris, Amelia, Diego Lopez, and now Pellizoli ?
(Buffon renewed his contract until 2013 :angf: )
Actually, all we know is that we don't know anything about the plans for the goalkeepers ...
============
For Sheva, we can be sure he will be part of Milan again ...: when the guy says he wants to come back, when Berlu says he wants him to come back, when Ambro and Gattuso say it would be good for him and Milan that he comes back. Umh it seems like he will come back lol.
============
Gattuso claimed Sheva (32), Drogba (30 or 31) and Toni (31 I think) !! lol
=> Who said we have to take young guys ? lol
Anyway, it's not very nice from Gattuso for his current partners (Gila, Inzaghi, Ronaldo, I don't think it has to be taken for Pato or Paloschi, they're Milan's future).

He would be valuable as a bencher... helping Pato in his game also...

I don't know if Sheva will come back or not but one thing is for sure, he better scored goals right away because fans who didn't want him will get on him quick!! And the fans who did want him will eventually turn. It could get ugly.

Gourcuff!!!!
Milan should really consider exploring using Gourcuff as bait to purchase Nasri.
Full name: Samir Nasri
Date of birth: June 26, 1987
Birthplace: Marseille, France
Nationality: French
EU passport: Yes
Height: 177 cm
Weight: 75 kg
Club: Marseille
Position: Attacking Midfielder [L, C]
Number: 22
Previous clubs: none
International debut: March 2007, v Austria
Caps: 3
Goals: 1
World cups: none
French Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year (2007)
********
Nasri can be positioned as an attacking centre mid or left mid. That would add strength to one of our much needed weaknesses.
Why does no one in this thread show no interest in Quaresma, i think he wold be a great addition. but with quaresma, we wouldnt need seedorf, so we can swap him with Huntelaar.
Quaresma can play both left and right winger.
And if it is possible spend money to get Ramos, i would go up to 40mil for him.
It seems Benzema signed a new contract with lyon, so i guess he is no longer available.
as someone said something about Valencia earlier, however i think david villa would be great, but i dont think he is ideal, as far as Silva, maduro, banega, Vicente and Juaquin go, Banega for sure if we cant get Flamini, and i would go with jaoquin or vicente over silva. silva is great, but i think he is alot more expensive.
My lineup would look like
-------------------------(Lloris or Amelia)--------------
Zambrotta------Ramos-------------Nesta-------Vargas
------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------Pirlo---------------------------
(Quaresma or Jaoquin)-----------(Quaresma or Vicente)
--------------------- -KAKA--------------------------
---------------Pato---------------Huntelaar----------
LineUp 2
-------------------------(Lloris or Amelia)--------------
Oddo---------Bonera---------Kakaldze------Jankulofski
------------------------------------------------------
Gattuso----------------Banega---------------Ambrosini
------------------------------------------------------
--------Daniel Carvahlo-------------Nasri--------------
------------------------Sheva------------------------
Signings
for the or selections, we buy the cheaper option
Nasri------------The use of gourcuff and about 14 Mil
*Sheva -------------------10 Mil
Banega-------------------8 Mil
*Carvahlo -----------------15 Mil
Huntelaar-----------------Seedorf
*Vicente or Jaoquin---------20 mil
Quaresma------------------25 mil
Ramos----------------------40 mil
Amelia or lloris---------------10 mil or less
*zombrotta--------------------10
Vargas------------------------15
I know it is alot of money that is spent in my deal, however Carvahlo and (vicente or Jaoquin) are not really necessary, but would be great to have.
I would also give up the signing of Sheva and Zambrotta of we could get a world class striker. as for RB, ramos is so diverse, he can also play @ RB. I prefer ramos to daniel alves.
player in bold is a must
player with * are only luxury
player underlined are the one i really want
david silva or xabi alonso can be a good back-up for pirlo.
quaresma and zambrotta are the must buy!!!
I just want to know why people are willing to swap Gourcuff with Nasri. I really don't understand that. Nasri is in France and is doing well now, just how Gourcuff was doing well 2 years ago. Yes, Gourcuff didn't get the publicity that Nasri does now but that was because he left before he could do any of that and if he stayed, he was going to be where Nasri is now or even higher up the scale. What makes you think that Nasri will come here and be better then Gourcuff. A swap between the both would be a jump in the same spot. On top of that, Payne, you would gladly give Gourcuff PLUS CASH for Nasri. IMO, not a good deal my friend.
The second I read the crap rummors about swapping Gourcuff for Nasri on Calciomercato (I think it was there), I knew that there is nothing in the rummor and it's all just adding spice to the whole thine. Marseille admited that they might look into getting Gourcuff, so someone out there wanted to make it more interesting to they put Gourcuff's name in the article.
Gourcuff has been somewhat dissapointing here, and perhaps the best thing for him is to move on whether it is a loan or a sale. A loan would work best as I think we shouldn't give up on him.

I don't really like Nasri and I don't think he would be very useful for us, anyway he couldn't be a starter (see why in my previous posts when I spoke about him). Anyway, Gourcuff never played as him, simply because they have not the same position, and Nasri is more technical. And a last thing, Gourcuff was playing in Rennes (or something like that, small club), he had space, and so he shined in this team, but Nasri had/have space in Marseille, a better team, and he shined too in it ... anyway, I think it is an error to count on these 2 young guys, it would be better to take Benzema (younger than them) or Flamini (a bit older I think, something like 24yo) for French players, or many other players if we don't care about their nationality lol (there is probably good guys too in Italy, we can think about G.Rossi for example in place of Benzema and Dessena in place of Flamini/Gourcuff).
For payne: Nobody thinks about Quaresma (some thought about him on previous pages), simply because our current and usual tactics (4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2) make us need good center midfield with good defensive skills (and if possible some offensive skills too lol). If you take Quaresma, so we would have to take a guy like Ribery for the other side (Quaresma on the right, so the other guy on the other side for example), and Kaka would be useless for us in this tactical way.
Gattusao and KAka' are practucally begging for new players, Akak' talks about new circle with new palyers as this circle is finished... Its sad to hear ourplayers beg for reinforcements. I hope this summer Berlusconi does something really good or else that is total disrespect to all milan fans and player that play 60 games per season...while some of them get 2.5 mln to be injured or simply suck on the pitch! rino said he hopes now only one forward will come, but also we get players in other departments...
Nesri is a great player, way better then yoan, lets not lie to ourselves. Take a look at some Nasri's games for France first team and you'll see. He is a young player, EU, fast, creative, versatile...

And you missed in the description of Nasri: often injuried ... lol
Oh and it is a cycle, not a circle I think ^^ (even if circle can make sense, anyway in France).
If we do like the last years for the reinforcement, that means we're going to take Pirés freely lol ...
Pires, Cesar from Inter, Kahn and Cruyff...
The difference between Nasri and Gourcuff is that Nasri at 20 is already a regular in French senior NT, he scores goals there and he's irreplaceable in Marselle, team that actually plays in CL/UEFA regularly which makes Nasri even more experienced at top stages. Nasri, when he was Gourcuff's age when Gourcuff left France, won the award of the best young french player, ahead for Benzema.
On the other hand Gourcuff was playing for a mid-table French team, he was good there and that's it.
Noone knows how will the two of them develop and who'll be a better player in the future, but by comparing them when they were same age, we get a huge difference.

Lol I'm ok with you, but not with your arguments ...
Marseille isn't a regular CL team, they played it this year, and the last time they played it was in 2003 if I remember (Nasri wasn't playing). UEFA Cup is nothing, a kind of domestic cup but with abroad teams lol (not a high level at all).
And he is not regularly called in French national team anymore. His first time was this season (2007-2008) but he played with the A' squad the last time(s). The A' squad is a national team bis, an useless team lol, with players being able to be called in national team but still not enough good (or simply not enough good) to be called directly with the national team and being starters.

Kaka wants AC Milan to go on buying spree
Kaka has called on AC Milan to bring in more young players in the mould of fellow Brazilian Alexandre Pato.
The World Player of the Year said: "Milan has to understand that our cycle is ending and we must begin another one. The day comes when the end of the careers of many players arrives - even mine.
"We must sign young players who can absorb the winning mentality - over a long period of time - of those who are already here and develop them in the same manner."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, our best player is begging our managment to buy new players because the current players are old and finished!
What great news from our best player. Our fans are screaming for years for new and young players, but our managment were joking us saying we are OK! :5drunk: For sure they are joking us.
Now Kaka are saying to them wake up, this mess can't go on!The team is very old, our players are tired and can't run like before! That cycle has ended!
Wake up and buy new and good players. How can you want to win searie-a and CL with that team.
I hope that words of Kaka to wake them up because there is no future with the current team we have.
However you put it he's a better player than Gourcuff.
Which isn't telling much actually.
P.S: And i see that only in last year Nasri played 4 matches for France in the EURO Qualifiers. I wasn't counting the A Selection matches but he did play all the Euro qualifying matches since his debut, which means he's regularly called to represent French best team.

What would change if we sign Drogba and Zamrotta? They are both 30! In 2 years they will be old.Milan will have again the same problems like now.Look at Oddo we bought him last year for 7.5M+one player and after 1 year we still are looking for a new RB.
Ok i know they are world class players, but for how long? They are players without future.
In current time we have big problem for 3 GK,1DC,1RB,1LB,1AMC,1ML,2Strikers.
Gk:We have 3 GK's who are very very aged.Dida is finished, i cant imagine him with us in next years. The same goes for Calac and Fiori.
DC:Just look at the ages of Nesta,Simic,Kaladze. If not this year then in 1-2 years we would have a very big problem if we dont buy a new and young CD.
RB:We have oddo and Cafu.Cafu is finished he has no future with us.Oddo 32 years old next year, can stay on the bench not as a starter, and in 2 years we should resign him and buy a new RB.He cant help us in future.
LB:Maldini and Serginho should be resigned, they had no future with us.Janku can stay on the bench and we should buy a new and young LB.In 1-2 years we would have again problems for that position because janku is already 30.
AMC:We must sign a new and fresh AMC.Kaka plays 50-60 matches avery year and looks very tired this year.We should protect our best player, and pray the god that he hadn't a big injury all that years that he had never stup playing with us.We must protect him.
ML:Seedorf is 31-32 and in last 2 years everyone can see that he cant play for 90' like before. We should buy a new ML like Quaresma,Nasri...others..... and keep seedorf at the bench, and resigned him in 1-2 years because then he would be useless for us.He can't run now, imagine hin in 2 years
Strikers:Exept pato i can't imagine how would help us Pipo,Roni and Gila for next year? For me they are finished.Sell them or resign them and buy new players to clean that mess.
Roni gets everytime injured.
Pipo cant go on anymore.
Gila?.........How many years we should wait for him?????? That can't go on.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats 1 part of my choices. Now think and the others like: Ambro,Emerson,Brochi,Favalli,Ba. We have a lot of work to do!And the time is against us.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 3 and last part of my choices is be carefull of Pirlo,Gattuso,Nesta, who are for years some of our best player a basically part of our starting 11! Look at their ages and be carefull!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you can see we need 6 summers of transfer to re built that team.Lets make the start from that summer.
Galliani: " we are again in good relations with Sensi family and we have an agreement with Roma we will not sign players from each other clubs..."
Uh, nice, now Im relieved! Becouse Roma was always knows as the club who stole a lots of grat player from Milan!!!! On the other hand, im sure Juve and Inter dont have that kind of brilliant agreement and will sign Aquilani this summer...

Gorky is like a washover gold jewel...same for Gila... the shine was only for a limited time... If only we could go back on the street and find the sucker who tricked us into buying them...

Totaly agree. Shocking. Why would we do that. This is a business and if both parties are satisfied then a deal for ANY players should be allowed to be made. Roma has never been a danger to us as they can never outpay our players. We can't possibly feel violated from them because they don't have the power to take our best playes but on the contrary we do. This agreement only suits Roma.
I hope this is verbal, as relations between clubs always change. I hope the relationship is not so good in a couple of months and we make a concrete offer for Aquilani.
By the way, "I have a contract until 2010 but the feeling is this: the Ģ1.7 million-a-year wage ceiling of the club is not low, but I understand it is about my future. I want to play, if they want to focus on me then money will have to be discussed." I know this is from Tribalfootball :coffee: , but since they had it quoted I am pretty sure there is some truth in the comments. Aquilani CAN be taken from Roma, and we would be fools if we don't give it a shot.
After reading a couple of reports on this issues I am starting to actually believe Channel 4 which to me makes the most sense. Some of the reports say what Mrki noted above, Channel 4 on the other hand states :
"After a few turbulent years with Roma, our rapport with the club is excellent. We made peace with Franco Sensi and his daughter Rosella.
In fact, Id say we share many views and there is an unofficial agreement not to invade each others transfer territory.
This, the way I see it means that we will not go for the same players on the market. Let's hope this is what he said and not what was previously reported by some sites.
Yes, that just means that both clubs won't try to take the same players ... the targets will be different. But if a Roma guy wants to come in Milan, and vice versa, and the other club is interested, so I think they would negociate.
Anyway, this "gentlemen agreement" will be difficult to respect: Drogba seems to be one of our targets, and the "king" of AS Roma, Totti, said he wanted him ...

I hope that is the real translation as my was "homemade" :)
that would mean Milan and Roma will not go for same player. Something Milan and Juve had in years, mostly at least... Still, Im so dissapointed by Silvio and Galliani that I dont expect anything much. Aquilani is a great player, but I see him stay put.
we need players,we all know that too..
1.i think exchangin seedorf for huntlaar would be actually great..we miss a striker of his quality..
2.we can do some bussiness with athletico too..i would suggest us offering olivera+15or20ml for aguero..he would be amazin..
3.few months back i remember seeing somewhr that parma wanted inzaghi and wouldn mind trading him for cigarini..with this guy,we can give our pirlo a much wanted rest and he would represent our future..
Personally i dont think drogba would be a wise choice,he's already 30.he'll lose his pace in 2yrs,and again we would have to look for another player.i would love huntlaar, aguero, cigarini, aquilani, zapata and lloris..maybe another defender too..it may be too much but we're milan..
I think its a great opportunity to sign Drogba, lampard,Malouda! They are top class players.
Also Makelele,Sheva,Cudicini,Beletti would have been a top class bench!
Let's ignore Makelele,Sheva, and Cudicini , and focus on Benzema.

i remember Atletico owe us some money, something in the region of 18m euro? and I thought that we had first option on Torres for a while, but we must have given up on him..we also have good relations with them as the most recent deal was sending Abbiati there last summer... I would love to get Aguero, with Oliveira putting in some fantastic performances for a team that is in a relegation battle, we can offer them Oliveira and maybe a few more million to get the amazing Sergio Aguero. Would certainly be something to have an attack of Pato-Aguero followed by Kaka, omg omg omg omg omg! Does anyone have any idea about Aguero's passport, does he have an EU passport?
Really, that would be the best gift Berlusconi could give us after the last 2 years of major failure in the market. Other than Aguero, we could get in Sheva (if Aguero has an EU passport) and we can get a couple of world-class midfielders, and a few defenders to replace the ones leaving. Personally, the player that has impressed me the most in Serie A this year is Juan, I remember last summer he said he dreamt of playing for Milan but we ignored him. After Nesta, I think he is the best. Damn he is sooo classy, he is such a rossoneri in disguise. No point on crying over spilt milk though, so I'll speculate and say I hope we get Zapata.

why can we only get either zapata or alex silva or thiago neves or aguero?
won't we sell serginho cafu and probably ronaldo?
i think we badly need zapata and neves .... aguero and benzema are not better than huntelaaar
I think there is a "law" that allows Italian clubs to buy only one extra-EU player each season.
Anyway, Serginho (I don't know), Cafu (at least 7-8 years in Italy I think) and Ronaldo (4-5 years in Italy, the same in Spain if I'm not wrong) are EU players right now, they played in Europe for years ...

Serginho has been with Milan since 1999.
Even though i'm not his biggest fan, i still think Lampard could be worth a punt.
I like that
Ok so he is also an EU player lol ...
My lineup would look like
-------------------------(Lloris or Amelia)--------------
Zambrotta------Ramos-------------Nesta-------Vargas
------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------Pirlo---------------------------
(Quaresma or Jaoquin)-----------(Quaresma or Vicente)

Interesting for Serie A matchs against small teams ... but almost 99% sure a defeat against teams like Inter or Roma and a disqualification from the next CL directly in the groups ...
Return of $hevchenko will be a humiliation for most of the fans, so let him enjoy @ London or he can go to Juventus
ACM team for the home matches :sun:

100 % ?!
You want to kill football ? lol
If Lampard doesnt sign the deal he could leave for around 5 mln pounds, I think. Or a bit more... LAmpard is not young but he has at least 4 quality years ahead of him. He IS a world class central midfielder, and a player I wouldnt say no to in any case. Lampard for such a small amount of money and Flamini for free - you cant do it better :)
Suppose 60 million pounds money is available, then this would be a perfect business:- :bri:
Lampard -- 8 million
Daniel Alves -- 15 million
Zambrotta -- 10 million
David Villa/Huntelaar/Messi/Benzema -- 27 million (if possible)
Flamini for free

Seville refused to sell Alves for about 25M to Chelsea, so if they let him going, it will be at least for 25M :undecide:

I hope that after this game people stop talking that we are set at defence  and just need new fowards...
Besides Nesta and Maldini(a 40yo player, and amazing today) our defence is a shame!!!
As in every game this year, we canīt sustain a advantage to save our lifes...our defense is horrible!!!
BTW, I canīt stand more Kaladze and his flaws, like today in Vucinic(sp?) goal...His job is to be with his man...but not, that scrub just raised his arms asking for an offside, and didnīt even try to run back  While our captain run back trying a miracle...besides that, Kaladze think heīs the new Bekenbauer(sp?) and in every game try to show class after recover a ball and give it back to the other team...
Sure we nedd more fowards, but our defence(and midfield) canīt tackle anything...
obs: To be fair with Bonera, heīs a squad player, knows his limitations and play hard
Bonera should play instead of Kaladze...
I think Bonera is a good replacment for Nesta :O
Based on the team's performance in these few years, here are a few moves milan should make:
let go- cafu, dida, maldini (retirement), favalli, serginho, brochi, ronaldo ( not worth all the publicity and attention)
pick up on a free-
ferrari - good back up central defender
flamini- this has been beaten to death, let's just hope we can pick him up
sell-
simic: english teams have expressed interest, 2-3 mill
seedorf: great player (on and off) about time he goes to a team like ajax and psv to end his career gracefully 5 mill
kaladze: i am sure he would draw some interest from clubs such as bayern and we could probably get 10 mill for him due to his experience and has a few yrs left
trade-
glia for frey: already debated on these boards
buy:
borriello: lets buy him back, 5 mill
sheva and lampard: considering the situation, 15 mill would be enuff for the duo. they wanna get rid of sheva and his contract anyway, im surprised we would even pay. as far as lampard is concerned, we noe the current situation and why he would come here, to win.
zambrotta- 8 mill to barca almost a sure thing
vargas- 7 mill, we badly need him on our team to compete with oddo
barzagli- i like this guy and the solidity he brings, lets just pay the 15 mill and get this over with
nasri- he would be awesome on our team and he could probably get gorcouff going again, 25 mill
aguero- my most farfecthed one, abbiati + oliviera + 18 mill they owe us + 20 mill, a total value close to 50 mill
darmian: youth squad
grimi:loan
sales: 15-18 mill
buys: 95 mill
total: about 80 mill to revamp the whole squad
TEAM A:
AGUERO------PATO(INZAGHI)
KAKA
LAMPARD---------PIRLO---------------GATTUSO
ZAMBROTTA----BARZAGLI--------NESTA--------------ODDO
-----------------------FREY---------------
TEAM B:
BORRIELO(PALOSCHI)---SHEVA
GORKY
AMBRO (EMO)---------NASRI-------------FLAMINI
JANKU(GRIMI)----FERRARI(DARMIAN)---BONERA-------VARGAS
----------------------KALAC (FIORE)
gattuso and flamini, oddo and vargas will be fighting for thei positions on the a team. this looks like a youthful team that can compete now and later.
wha t do you guys think about vanger love, jo alves and Daniel Carvalho all from CSKA Moscow
oh crap, comment on only love and jo, i saw some where that inter already sign carvalho, and he is the one i wanted the most.

I don't know if this is true since tribal is deemed a very unreliable source by the posters here, but if this was true, it would be a great opportunity for us to steal a major talent. 7 million for Dos Santos is a huge bargain and we should not let the opportunity pass us by. We can use him to back up Kaka and eventually take over Seedorf's position. He has the talent to do it.
I thought this was great on tribalfootball, i only wish the highlighted bit was true :delol:
tribalfootball.com - March 15, 2008
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is chasing Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
The Mail on Sunday says Berlusconi's reaction to AC Milan's Champions League exit was an immediate edict to the club's European network of talent scouts: "Get me the six best players available."

Well when i saw Anderson wearing ManUtd shirt i was very sad that we didn't sign that great player.
After that if that news are true, for me Dos Santos is one of the best talents on the world. He is an amazing player, i can see him in future as a world class player and his price extremely high in some years.I will be vey sad seeing him in a differnt shirt of that of Milan's.Thats a great chance, i hope we sign him.
Yes, Anderson is a pure class player. For me the worst feeling was when I saw Rothen in PSG after Monaco, and not Milan. :) Ah , rothen on the left, crossing for Gila and Gila misses it... hahahaha!
A question, what do you guys think of HEITINGA for a young CB that can rotate well with KAladze-Nesta-Bonera? From what I saw from him, he is a good and young player with a lot of technique...
Dos Santos, Zambrotta, D.Alves, Heitinga, Diego, Benzema... here you go Silvio, 6 players :)

to reach such good formation there are prices to pay:
sell: kaladze simic cafu serginho brocci inzaghi ronaldo gilardino dida
and THEN WE WIN SCUDETTO + ITALIAN CUP + CHAMPIONS
Stop dreaming, even if we buy 10 players, we probably won't win a lot of things next year, perhaps the following year, but not directly next year !! It's why we need to buy for example 4-5 players this year, and 4-5 the following year.
Too much new players = failure, at least at the start of the season ...
I dont know why people keep thinking we actually have a chance to sign Flamini. We Don't. He will extend his contract with Arsenal, even if he wants to leave---that way any club that wants him will have to shell out the cash. And from the looks of it, he is very happy to stay on.
As for Frey, I would very much like him to be our keeper. The CL is not so big a deal. Fiorentina may make it there next year, but they are by all means not regulars. We on the other hand will offer him a chance for sustained success. Didnt Ribery and Toni move to Bayern last year, a team in the UEFA cup?

Actually Flamini isn't "very happy to stay on" at the salary Arsenal is offering him (I think 50,000 pounds / week) He will make more by coming to Milan on a free transfer.

Drogba, maybe, but no way in hell will Gerrard come to Milan.
i agree with BMWTaylor.there's no chance to bring Gerard to Milan.it's the same thing like when you want to buy Maldini (let just say 15 years before :tong: ) from Milan, Totti from Roma or Zanetti from Merda.they each a symbol for their club.but anything is possible since we also got Nesta from Lazio (but i don't think Loserpool has a bad finance like Lazio used to be).
btw.. according to transfermarketweb.com:
Leonardo advises for another Brazillian.this time from CSKA Moskow.his name is João Alves de Assis Silva or Jo for short :D and he is a striker.

And last I heard, Arsenal are not a stupid club, especially when it comes to money/transfer market affairs. They will not let one of their key players go on a "free" transfer over a salary dispute. If no agreement can be made, they will offer him the salary he wants, let him sign a new contract, and then sell him for a huge sum to any top club.
No more mention of Huntelaar please. He's the Dutch Gilardino. We need a player who can operate outside of the box too, and who has a physical presence too - Drogba, Gomez, Benezma, Berbatov, Amauri. NO es either.
I'd take Diarra from Madrid, Flamini too to remove Brocchi & emerson, Diego would be awesome, but unlikely. Zapata, Zambro, Marzoratti & Vargas to our defence would make me extremely happy. Keepers need a total change, remove them all and get Lloris, Offredi from youth, and smash the bank for Frey.

A few rumours I've read today. The biggest (I believe the source is La Republica) story is that apparently the main transfer target of the summer for the forward position is Toni, who would come a lot cheaper than Amauri.
Another big story (this time I think the source is Daily Mail, a less than reliable source) is Milan are apparently after Drogba and Gerrard, after Berlu said to scouts to find 6 of the best players in the world.
if his scout is Galliani then he would say: Platini, Kahn, Sammer, Mattheus, Cruyff and Muller! :)
I also think our forward will be Toni, and our fullback Zambrotta. Which again leads me to Marcello Lippi.
I have to say it again: If Milan wants some freshness in the team we need to change a coach as Crlo has been here just a very long time. Its normal that teams get "fed up" by a certain coach.
Also, according to italian press, Diego is now a Real MAdrid player for 30 mln euro. he is worth that money and you will see just how good he is next year in a real team. diego is a true fantasista, a great and young player who would replace Seedorf permanently and for next 8 years. But hey...who needs him :angf:
Diego would be great, but to really replace Seedorf we need a box to box player wth great technique. Few and far are these players if available. Maybe Essien, but we should got PSV's Afellay. Looks a world beater to be.
If you want a replacement for Seedorf, look no further than Pienaar.
PS: about Jo rumour.. i am not against Brazillian in Milan.but i really don't want our club becomes like Merda whose 1st team full by foreign players.i like our originality :tong:
Well, with Cafu, Serginho, and even Dida on their way out, we shouldn't worry about becoming like Merda. I never saw Jo before, but I saw Love a couple times in Brasil NT, and wasn't impressed at all.
Btw, Villa recently said he's open for offers. I think he can be a good signing
We need a team with Italian and Brazilian players: Italian for their tactical skills and Brazilian for their way to play.
No other nationality allowed !! lol

if his scout is Galliani then he would say: Platini, Kahn, Sammer, Mattheus, Cruyff and Muller!
But hey...who needs him :angf:
haha mrki ur funny about Galliani and scouting. I have to say that by buying Toni and Zambrotta that is not rejuvenating the team. There are very usefull players but we could go we some younger guys. In attack Adebayor, Jo..some good option.
If we want to replace Seedorf, we need Samir Nasri.

Then I guess Santacroce of Napoli is perfect, being half Brazilian and half Italian. ;)
Actually, in all seriousness this guy probably should be looked at as a potential long term investment (like how many want Zapata). He's done really well for Napoli and was immense against Juve, simply incredible.
highlights of him against Juve
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EXhPwMhbrI
However, I would only look at one of Zapata and Santacroce, because we still need room for Darmian, who I still have massive hopes for, to come in.
I need some clarification about the italian rule for signing non-EU players.
Is it one non-EU player per year or per season?
Thanks.

By seeing that video, I think his position is right fullback in back-4 scheme
Corriere Dello Sport says our target is now Berbatov.
Strategie Milan: Assalto a Berbatov
(Corriere dello Sport)
Could we afford Berbatov, Aguero & Shevchenko? Possibly if the Ukranian is dirt cheap and Atletico accept money + Olive for the Argentine.
Kaka behind Berbatov & Aguero with Pato & a fit Shevchenko on the bench. It's an intriguing scenario.
It seems like everyday, we have a new target ... so we will not be able to know who will be our recruies before they signed because of that (when there is only one rumour for example, it is easy to know if it is true or not, but now, with all these rumours ...).
Jim, recruiting Berbatov, Aguero and Sheva is too much I think ...
- Aguero is more linked to Inter than to Milan, but he would probably be the best recruie we can have (potentially incredible and already amazing !!).
- Berbatov can be good in Milan, but only if Gila goes in another club. I'd like him to come too.
- Sheva will come back, even if I read an article with Carlito saying that they will have to study our needs and then compare that to what Sheva can give us ... if we buy Aguero, no need of Sheva, we will still have Pato !!
So the best targets for me would be Berbatov and Aguero, with Pato and Paloschi (+ Inzaghi). It would be really enough I think. On the pitch, we could put Berbatov-Aguero/Pato, Aguero being able to take place in offensive midfield (instead of Kaka' when he is tired). Paloschi would be there to learn next year and grow slowly. Inzaghi would be a joker. Intriguing scenario and very interesting !! Too good to be real lol ...
Italian expoerts, according to a commentator who was brocasting Juve-Naoli game, are saying Santacroce will replace Cannavaro in the future as Itali's best CB.
He is young and plays great as a CB!
But I have no hope for him, as usual. He will end up in Juve...
But about forwards one thing needs to be clear - Benzema is the best solution for us, he is the best young forward in the world and will be no.1 forward overall. Everything else is just being cheep: Toni, Drogba , Sheva... and so on,..
ACMILAN1983

What is his position? DC or fullback? Or both?
He's a CB and has been compared to both Nesta and Cannavaro by pundits (probably because neither is particularly tall :tong: ). Technically he's very good, but his tactical defensive abilities are also impressing, with an aggressive approach and very well timed tackles as well as pace to keep up with attackers.
He's not got a lot of experience and I haven't seen him too regularly, so I can't say for sure he'll be a great buy. However, his potential and ability is huge.
I wish milan will Sign with Napoli players :
1 -Walter Gargano : heis an excellent central midfield . He is sogood in defense and attacking . his age is only 22 years .
2 -Ezequiel Lavezzi : He is forward who has a good shooting ability, very good dribbling and good playmaking abilities. and he is only 22 years too

With Cafu, Favalli, Serginho, Dida leaving this leaves many gaps. To fill them, Milan should try getting Thiago Neves, Santacroce, Dos Santos, Shevchenko, Zapata, Alcides, Sidnei or trying Digao, Marzoratti, Perticone

Santacroce is likely to be convocated by Donadoni in the next Italy friendlies.
Diego's price is too high. Brazil produce a Diego every 2 years. We should take them from the tree, not from the barrel.
Berba will be a good signing IMO. Back in his Bundesliga days, some pundit have likened his elegant style with Marco. And btw, looks like Cafu is set to renew his contract for one more year. He's been a close friend or even some kind of mentor to Pato. So I think the board decides to prolong the contract so that he can help Pato adapt with the life in Milan.
Maybe Dani Alves can halp Pato adapt to a life in Milan?? :)
Our board is just being rude to rossoneri fans. Cafu can be a good coach or whatever, buit he cant paly for us anymore. Same goes to Dida, Favalli, Simic, Serginho, Brocchi, Gila ( cant be even a good coach ... ).
Berbatov is 26 and is now playing the best football in his career. Benzema is 20 and is better then Berbatov. Benzema is a player we need, he will be the best forward on earth, it can be seen in his every move.
------------------------------------------------
But, listen to this:
I guarantee you guys that if Milan play in UEFA cau next year Galliani will only bring 2 or 3 normal players and say we will go for scudetto ( which we will NOT be able to do of course...). And IF we play CL, we will bring Zambrotta, one forward that is old and Flamini who is a DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER!
Maybe Dani Alves can halp Pato adapt to a life in Milan?? :)

Dani Alves could be a much better option IMO. At least they can take the same Italian language class.
Everybody here likes Benzema. But I doubt Berlu is willing to splash his cash for one big summer signing, let alone two...
Help, please :pchate: 2nd time :nunu:
I need some clarification about the italian rule for signing non-EU players.
Is it one non-EU player per year or per season?
And does this rule apply for loaned players from foreign clubs? (example: loaning Sheva from Chelsea?)
Thanks :510:
I think a club can buy/oan one non EU player per season, which means from summer mercato untill next summer mercato.
I think that Dani Alves would be fantastic signing
and he is player that fits Berlu request for versatile players
(if I correctly understand one of his latest interviews)
I think a club can buy/oan one non EU player per season, which means from summer mercato untill next summer mercato.
thanks. mrki
than one non-EU player is the frame in which we should model our summer signings.
maybe we can create pool which non-EU player is most wanted
Last year Sevilla rejected a 25(?) million offer from Chelsea. Do you think Berlu is willing to pay more?
this year they will accept 25mil
and it is not problem for AC Milan and Berlu to cough up this sum :1whis:
Only one non eu platyer from outside of italy is the rule.
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/mar19i.html
This is the latest Sheva news. Although i am opposed, I think this type of deal would actually appease many fans. It seems like little risk, and Sheva has the chance to get his reputation back. I guess I'd try to make a comparison to Crespo, but he was younger and had no history here. Only time will tell as things continue to get interesting!
Did Shevchenko get his Italian passport in the end? If not, then i guess his impending loan will stop any chance of us getting Berbatov
I really hope that if we do get Shevchenko, he isn't the only reinforcement we get in the striker department, that would just be a kick in the teeth for all fans and wouldn't solve any problems.

Jim you're a moron :wth: sheva is one of the best in the world. he'd be a dream signing. He is fast good with both feet, strong, good in the air, good decision maker/ shot seclector, excellent crosser.....the only player I'd rate slightly ahead of him is Ronaldo. since it's coming from goal.com so probably it isn't true
but since we are Milan probably it is true :D
It seems like some people didn't watch a football game these 3-4 last years ...
Ronaldo is no more the Ronaldo who was the best striker in the world. Stop with that, his career is finished, and in the best case for him (meaning he would come back), the best moments of his career are behind him. I didn't understand why we took him, and I still don't understand.
Sheva is in the same case: saying he is one of the best in the world has no sense ... he was the best, with Ronaldo, Zidane and others, but now, he is a striker like there are so many everywhere (and younger).
People have to stop living in the past: let's take both young talents and established talents, but no more past talents ...
Oh and I saw someone speaking about Jérémy Ménez: I would say only one thing ... a big NO. He would be a Gourcuff bis, more offensive, but inefficient. He's not a top player in Ligue 1 (he's good, has potential, but he's not Benzema for example), so why would he be a top player in Milan ?
Someone said that Alves could help Pato to adapt to Milan life ? How ? He would have to adapt himself to Milan life lol ... when someone helps you to adapt, it is because he already had/has experience where you are, Alves never lived in Milan and never played in Milan I think ?
EDIT: Anyway, renewing Cafu's contract is such an error !! I hope it is a joke, he has to retire, he is not Maldini, his performances this year, when he played, were generally so bad ...
EDIT2: Berbatov doesn't play in Bundesliga lol, he plays in Premier League in Tottenham and he scored against the best teams, teams that are Milan-level, or even more this year.
I stop there lol.

No...I dont agree wit you... While at leverkusen he normally scores from the start or off the bench... he made the move to england and has continued to lightup the stadiums there... He is a proven striker...Henry is struggling to score outside of England and Sheva outside of Italy...So u say Berbatov can adopt to different styles and situation... He has lots of champions league experience also... I would chose him over Benzema right now... who to tell, Benzema might be a next Gila!!!

I agree with you saying that Ronaldo is done and all, and to a lesser extent Cheva. You mentioned Jeremy Menez... he is crap... just like Gorky... Ederson of Nice is the real deal if we want to sign young players. He will be as good as Diego next year and will cost us less.

Getting Sheva back doesn't mean that we wouldn't be able to get Berbatov, cuz from a year Bulgaria is a part of EU, so Berbatov is not a non-EU player :1old:
I think Berbo would be a fantastic signinig, he's 27, has atleast 3 years to play on top level, but now he is too expensive and we won't be able to sign him. Besides he likes EPL too much and I think if he decides to leave Tottenham, he would choose either Man U or Chelsea...

Santacroce, wow that guy had a perfect game against Juve. I never saw him play before and really didnt follow him, but he had a perfect game against Juve. Good one
Seems like Santacroce had another good game last night against Fiorentina ... as well as Hamsik and Lavezzi.
Speaking of miracles, maybe the pope can bless our players during his easter mass!
There seems to be something about Neves, Benfica, Rui Costa & Milan in the news at the moment.
I guess it might be about Benfica buying Neves as a replacement for Rui Costa. 8 million euros is the price i think.
For Sheva, he probably will no be in the same shape but he will be better because we have a Milanello and co-players that he know and they know well how is playing... We need two strikers... so one will ne Sheva and the second the big Splash, Benzema, Toni, Berbatov, we gonna see...
For Daniel Alves, he wanted to leave from last year, you believe that Sevilla can keep him another one year? i believe no...
Galliani cant run this club any mroe. he has lost his connections and has to many enemies. He is now bringing 2nd class players to Milan, unless Leonardo finds some kid from Brazil. Eniough! Basta!
The deals are started in april and finished before EUrO and we still think that Carlo needs to be our coach! A man who says: " our team is maybe old in terms of mentality..." WTF? A coach that cant motivate his own players and then says they are old in mentality. OLD IN MENTALITY? - such a thing doesnt excist! You want to play or you dont feel like it becouse you dont rspect your coach enough...
KAka' injured? Its normal, the man has played 1000 gams in 3 years. He is overplayed, just like Rijkaard did to Ronaldinho at Barca ( another horrible coach In my oppinion ). Ever heard of a turnover??
Shamefull! Is there any way that RIGJT NOW Milan fans can start internet petition for new mercato and coach?
when I watched Sevilla's game vs. Fenerbahce I had a feeling that he will miss the penalty. like he has the revenge in his hands. after that game I think the management understanded that the guy want desperatly to leave. and probably they will miss champions league this year and will cash on him.
and yesterday I watched Berbatov vs. Chelsea. he missed hell of a chance in the final minute. it would be goal for victory. not just in this game but for some time I am under impression that his ego is sky high. he is not trying hard enough. he has never shown hunger for improvment. maybe this talk about AC Milan and ManU hit his head too much. Anyhow I don't like his attitude in the games.
On the other hand, it is almost impossible to lure players from Premier League. The teams from the island have the money to keep any player they want.
It is more likely to sign players from Bundes liga or France.
So, maybe we will try for Gomes in the summer,
unless Mourinho comes and bring Drogba :-)

They wont pay any attention to petitions.. Only way they possibly will react is if Milan fans boycott games, and petition at Via Turati.. I renember years ago Milan fans petitioned at the lack of signings, the managements answer was Redondo who made such a great impact at the club! ** well he was good when he did finally start playing..

like mrk1 said, because of galliani we cannot buy from Palermo.. I really wonder if someone better could come in.. Horrible thing to say, but i would prefer Moggi (without the match fixing) as ive lost faith in our ability to lure and sign players.

Except from Ferguson, I don't see another coach that can turn another page with another players. It is natural to change the manager when you want to start another cycle. Ancelloti is very good manager, I appreciate his work and acknowlegde his success, but he didn't prove that can change the game. Everyone knows our tactics, it's open book now. And he didn't find fresh solutions.
Another manager will bring new ideas, new tactics and will put new enthusiasm in the players.
Moggi didnt fix games, people behind fixed it using Moggi as a man who fixes :) sounds complicated, Tony knows... :)
Bot Moggi is THE BEST football manager/director in the world and knows 120 times more then Galliani about players. He even made Zidane what he was, yes, Moggi did it. And made fun of new Juve's signings Thiago ( "my Blasi is a better player for Juve..." ) and so on... But Milan doesnt need Moggi becouse of his reputation. We have Maldini, Baresi, Billy...those man know football...
First of all Ancelotti is NOT the problem :o
Ancelotti has pioneered both an exciting and efficient brand of football that is capable of winning the League AND Europe. However even Carletto has seen his style getting old and predictable. It's efficiency is not diminished...just the personnel. AND THAT'S WHY HE WANTED RIBBERY & TONI LAST MERCATO :wallbang: We should be upset with Berlu and Galliani.
To me the only way to compensate for Ribery is Quaresma....who is almost as good as Cristiano Ronaldo. Quaresma is almost a perfect attacker (I have said all this tons of times forgive me for beating the same drum). I'm happy that there is no Zlatanov to try to make a fool of me for my idea. Milan's pride CAN be salvaged with a guy like Quaresma on the right. Oddo isn't that good as an attacker but I think his form will rise dramatically if we were to get Ricardo Quaresma.....right now we have NO pace down either flank except for Oddo and he isn't the best a team like Milan can do.
At the barest minumum we NEED these three players:
1) Quaresma (most important) can play on either flank (RW for porto LW for Portugal) freekicks, dribbler, pace skillful, both feet shooter etc.
2) Dani Alves (no Zambrotta please...he is excellent but we are filled with good, experienced, tactically aware players who simply don't have the PACE to execute)
3) Aguero/ Mario Gomez- preferably Mario since he is a perfect complement to Pato
with these guys we can play:
----------Dida----------
Alves-Nesta-Bonera-Kaladze
--------Ambro----------
Pirlo/Seedorf-----------Quaresma
---------Kaka----------
---Gomez-------Pato---
Subs:
Pirlo/Seedorf
Paloschi
Oddo
Gattuso
Janku
if needed we can adopt a more defensive approach
--Oddo-Nesta-Bonera-Kaladze--
--------Ambro--Pirlo-------
----Alves---Kaka---Quaresma----
--------Gomez/Pato---------
And of course our beloved X-Mas Tree (the only trouble is that Quaresma will have to play a bit more in the centre of the pitch):
--Alves-Nesta-Bonera-Kaladze--
---Pirlo--Ambro--Seedorf-------
-------Kaka---Quaresma-------
--------Gomez/Pato---------

We need a pretty decent overhaul this summer. A new keeper, left back, back-up right back, back-up center back, good all round midfielder, and a RELIABLE striker for goodness sake.
We need to get rid of some players. The cycle has come to an end, it's time to rebuild. If Carlo wanted to leave, I wouldnt blame him, but our management has been absolutely scandalous with their arrogance and amateur attitude towards the transfer market.

Pipe down sparky :wth:
1) you don't have to post the same stuff 3 times
2) Ancelotti recognised the need for a tall powerful striker which was supposed to be Toni......Mario Gomez (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_G%C3%B3mez) is a good replacement, is younger and certainly taller than Huntelaar.
3)Diego is not fast at all he's very slow. research your players man :scream:
4)Mourinho had the world of players at his disposal at chelsea. Did he ever win his boss' main objective (the CL)? Did Chelsea EVER beat Milan? Mourinho is good but I'd take Carlo any day
5)Ambro is almost as tenacious as Gattuso but is better technically....remember the fantastic through ball vs ManU to Gila that not even Gila could mess up?? That was Ambro. He is also good in the air. Gattuso is woefully out of form atm as well :lala:
6)Carlo wanted Ribery.....a right sided winger.....guess what Quaresma is ;)

Good Post Dru... Even Ray Charles can see that Milan players, as a team, are technically and tactically superior than most opponents but except for Kaka and Pato the others are always outpaced. Poisoned with age. Carlo is not the problem...NO WAY... last year he turn water into wine and we all drank and got drunk... and the big headed two thought he could do it again without giving him water... If we get three world class players this summer it is because no other club wanted them...
with these guys we can play:
----------Boruc----------
Alves-Nesta-Lucio-Vargas
--------Pirlo----------
Flamini-----------Lampard
---------Kaka----------
---Adebayor-------Quaresma---
Subs:
Loris
Bonera
Zambrotta
Gattuso
Cigarini
Pato
Mutu
Your team's much better now Dru :delol:
Dear dru,
I have gotten a bag of weed on the cheap and after consuming it all :whie: I am of the firm opinion that Uncle Berlu- Mr Generosity of late- will purchase Twelve :eekani: players (bold) with these guys we can play:

He will also summarily ignore the EU work permit rules (Adebayor,Alves), while playing one of the worlds best wingers out of position. To ensure the revolution is complete, he'll dispose of one of our best CM's, while benching SerieA's two most in form strikers :D
I suggest you consult with Warro next time. He'll prevent you from purchasing such low grade herbal supplies :5ok:

I can't see anything wrong with my selection - it's the future
Given the GDS recent article about Kalac's new deal, i know they might not be the most reliable. However, they have a headline:
Milan are on the edge: Here's who plays and who goes
I had a look on their site, but i could not find the actual article. I was just curious to see who they have listed as staying & going. Probably no different to what we have talked about here, but i'm still interested.
