even if this kid comes to milan, we will send him to parma/reggina or whatever on loan, and he will come to milan 3-4 years after....... so it's probably meaningless to talk about this kid....
In what position does Zigoni play?
:dontkn:
He's a striker, judging by his height (1.90m) probably a genuine CF, although I've never seen him play.

He is, indeed, a striker. He's the son of Gianfranco Zigoni. He scored more than 100 goals at the youth level for Treviso and has been linked to Juve (one of his father's old clubs) and Manchester United, so if Milan can beat those clubs to his signature I think it's probably a good thing, even if he is loaned out for awhile. He was called up to Treviso's senior squad in January (when he was still 17) and also got the call to the Italy U-20 NT in February. It seems he could be a great prospect.

hopefully kaka will say he has swine flu and ruin the transfer between real and milan. It looks like the clubs were in agreement last week it just a case of kaka signing a contract with real. If this transfer goes through it is going to really damage Milan hopes for silverware in 09/10 season. I for one will not buy another jersey or go to the san siro again or watch Milan on the tv until world class players are bought to replace kaka or Milan stand by kaka and refuse to approve the transfer. remember the only weapon Galliani and Berlusconi are scarred of is economic i intend to hurt these crooks if they pursue this transfer.

the stadium part suckx! Milan must stay in San Siro
I think it's very much good news should that happen. Club's in Italy are desperately in need of their own stadiums mostly for the sake of competing with the global market, especially in revenue. San Siro, despite it's history needs a lot of work done to it. The pitch isn't ever going to help our players and is likely to cause a lot more injury. Then of course there are the facilities, which from the perspective of both club and fans, aren't particularly impressive.
It may be our traditional home, and the stadium in terms of atmosphere and seating numbers are still impressive on a global scale. However, there's no reason that we can't build a new stadium which can provide a similar atmosphere and have the same if not more seating than the San Siro. Owning the stadium, the club will make a great deal of revenue which as we all know, we need desperately.
Let's not forget Juve are already pioneering privately owned stadiums in Italy. Plus, the Emirates stadium (which was obviously sponsored by Fly Emirates as ours would be) is an impressive stadium. Given the stature of our club compared to Arsenal, there's no reason we couldn't have an even better stadium.
Then of course there's the Fly Emirates sponsorship. I'm not sure of the exact amount BWin give us, but I wouldn't be at all shocked if Fly Emirates were to give a lot more.
In all honesty, if we're to progress as a business, this deal seems brilliant.

u are probably right, but let`s wait for Berlu to confirm Kaka`s departure to Merda.
Toni or Trez one of those two is our next "great champion".
Kaka remained coy about the possibility of the move, choosing only to answer questions regarding Brazil's victory and he also refused to acknowledge any contact with any representative of the Spanish club.

Until it's announced officially by Milan, I see no reason to not believe he could still stay.
Dzeko's manager, Irfan Redzepagic confirmed that Galliani visited him in Sarajevo. He said that, if it was up to Dzeko, he would sign with Milan right now, and that everything is in Wolfsburg's hands. (I presume Milan has submitted their offer)
My crystal ball says 40% chance of staying
(veeery poor attempt at humour)
Starting the mercato with sales of Yoan and Ricky, whole Europe is alughing. Its actually pretty comical... its 80 mln at least for those two players.
Buy Eto'o, Hernanes, Fabregas, Clichy and Santacroce and I'll say we are ok :)
About Dzeko: that means we'll not go for Eto'o, Benzema that cost more, and we will not be able to buy Hernanes who should play in our midfield. I only wonder who will replace Gourcuff and KAka', players who needed to be our future and present stars.

Not only do I not see any reason to not believe he could stay, I see no reason to not believe he will stay. We've been through all this crap before. Kaka said the other day that he will definitely be staying, so I will take him at his word until he or the club reveals otherwise -- sensationalist press reports from media outlets that have been wrong more often than they've been right in the past notwithstanding. If he does go, I will be disappointed that he wasn't telling the truth, but so be it. No player is really worth what Madrid is said to be offering. And if that's the case, hopefully Berlusconi will surprise us and stick to his promise to use the funds to build up the squad.

Because we don't own the stadium most of our gate receipts go to the council as 'rent' to pay for the stadium build costs. The San Siro is a work of art, but it was built in a rush, and does not fit the needs of our club:
income - owning our own stadium means having all the income
quality pitch - no more replacing it 3/4 times a year and cutting up badly
5 star stadium - Meaning the stadium can be used for finals in the future, the longer we don't build let alone upgrade the stadium it's not fit to host European games at full capacity.
I read today that Liverpool are forced to sell some of their players......ideas anyone?
i feel like everyone's losing hope and that's scaring me.
i just can't forget what he said to us, that he wants to stay. why wuld he make such a categorical statement of loyalty and then do the complete opposite? doesn't make sense

Simon Kjęr made his international debut yesterday against Sweden. He played a really good game with Daniel Agger in the central defence keeping a clean sheet, although he did commit a penalty on, but it was a wrong decision by the referee, so I don't blame him for that. I can't say that I've been that hyped by Simon Kjęr before yesterday, but he did impress, still I don't think he's ready yet to play as our starting CB, keeping in mind he is only 20 years old.
About Zigoni, he does sound like quite a talent, it would be great if we could snatch him up. Young Italian striker is just what we need, Paloschi, Zigoni, Pato, Worlds best attack in 4 years? ;)

I've read a lot about this now, so it seems you're correct for definite. Apparently Dzeko's manager said he met Galliani because they're friends? lol, that's pretty hilarious if true.

Selling Gourcuff and Kaka brings a lot of money in to spend (hopefully wisely), but it'll be difficult to replace those two.
Those signings you list are nice, but unfortunately very unrealistic even if we sell Kaka.
Dzeko for me is an interesting signing as it'll indicate the game we intend to play. Eto'o is a great player, but given how much he'd cost for probably a maximum of 3 years it'd seem a disappointing transfer, whilst Benzema has just come out of a pretty poor season. He's a good player, but he's yet to prove a lot and Lyon would make anyone pay a world class transfer fee for him. Personally, I think Dzeko also appears to have attributes better suited to the next Milan than Benzema (if Leonardo is to be believed).
Getting Dzeko could be a really interesting idea. Playing him alongside Pato in a two man attack would work wonders if they're supported well. I would like to believe and continue to have high hopes Kaka will remain to make a trident that works on 3 levels of play, which would make for a lethal attacking unit.
Likewise, getting Hernanes is just as plausible an idea, just that Pato would play further up.
I only really hope that should Kaka leave we do actually get a realistic replacement for him. Berlu has mentioned Dinho, but I'm not convinced in the slightest by him, especially playing in such an important role.
Edit...
Saby, there's no point in worrying as we're all in the same boat, no one knows anything except for Kaka and probably Berlu and Galliani. Even if Kaka leaves, it's not the end of Milan, we can and should be able to rebuild. Btw, does anyone know when we should hear about this whole Kaka saga? I know Berlu said tomorrow but then said talks were today, so is there a chance it'll all be announced today?
Christian, just a hypothetical question, but how would you see Pato, Zigoni and Paloschi working together? Just wondered because I was thinking similarly about the prospect of Dzeko, Pato and Palo in the future.
So anyone still think he is staying? :ilol:
I do. For these reasons:
1) every press is still desperate for the conclusive evidence of his move, so clearly nobody knows what is actually going on.
2)these unfolding developments are almost identical to those we had in January. The series of drip-drip leakage of reports, seeming to be confirming of his move, one after the other, like some orchestra trying to reach the climax of a symphony with crescendo, while everybody waits for the inevitable denouement: Italian style, very much so.
3)the short interview Kaka purportedly gave yesterday, in which he said he was not leaving, was miraculously erased from the face of the Internet. Who do you think has the power and influence to perform ssuch a task? Not RM, and crucially they had no need to do it, irrespective of the veracity of the report's claim, for they were and are, utterly confident of capturing him.
4)RM do not need to medical him. If and when they do, they will broadcast it to the world, just like Barca did with Henry. RM will gleefully broadcast every single moment tof Kaka's arrival. No doubt. Also why As did not realise this medical was going to happen?

something amazing will have to happen to scuttle the transfer of Kaka to Real similar to the events of January. I honestly believe that Man City were ill prepared to sign Kaka while Real has had this type of experience needed to make a compelling case for kaka to sign. Unlike January Galliani and Berlusconi are united on selling Kaka with that in mind the only thing stopping the deal is Kaka saying i want to stay at Milan and there is nothing the management or my agent can do about it. I always hope some Fans theory are correct that Milan are using Kaka like a worm on hook to attract players like ramos and robben to join AC Milan. But if you analyse the statements and the environment affects surrounding AC Milan you begin to see a strong intention to sell Kaka. Most compelling is the fact Milan have a new manager who for now has very little power and is limited in displaying his objections against selling Kaka. The Kaka deal still 50/50 chance of being completed but its more than likely those odds will tip one way or another on monday. I would guess a plan has been in place for two years now to sell Kaka Galliani was just looking for his first opportunity to offload the player for big bucks. Of course Galliani thinks he is acting in the best interest of the Milan by securing capital that can be used in the future as he can't see how Milan is going to gain any sort of serious capital from the infrastructure. just consider this 15 years ago Milan turnover 40% of its income from gate receipts roughly 50 milion euros per season now Milan is barely making 30 million euros a season gate receipts. it is becoming obvious that if Milan wants to keep its top stars that a new stadium or a completely new san siro is needed. We probably wouldn't have to sell Kaka if Milan got revenue from a up to date stadium.
You live near the water, and that is why you are so calm and optimistic.
:D
You may have something there. :D
Well, truthfully I'm a pretty calm person, but if Kaka is sold I'll wish him (although not Real Madrid) well and life will go on. Milan is bigger than any one player. Selling Jose Altafini to Napoli didn't prevent the Rossoneri from winning the Scudetto and the European Cup in the late 60s. Milan won two Scudetti in the three years after losing Marco to career-ending injury. The Champions League was won after Sheva was sold to Chelsea. And as I said, no player is really worth what Real Madrid is offering. There's always so much chance of injury or a run of poor form. Before you know it, Kaka will be 30 and everyone will consider him "old" anyway (you know how it works!). So if he goes I'll enjoy watching to see how the money is spent and hopefully some great young players will be brought in to make Milan a European contender (and sometime Champion) for years to come.
One thing I will add is that I would bet that even if Real Madrid is successful in buying both Kaka and Ronaldo, I truly believe Milan will win another Champions League trophy before they do. Milan is all about being a team. Real Madrid is a collection of gallacticos. Seriously, what good will Kaka be if Ronaldo is hogging the ball from him all the time? They already have too many players who need for things to revolve around them and not enough players to do the heavy lifting. So I'm confident that everything will be fine either way.

Christian, just a hypothetical question, but how would you see Pato, Zigoni and Paloschi working together? Just wondered because I was thinking similarly about the prospect of Dzeko, Pato and Palo in the future.
Well I don't really know anything about Zigoni, other than that he's apparently pretty tall, which would suggest he could be a target man. If we had Pato, him and Paloschi then we would have every single type of striker that we need. We would have the target man, Zigoni, the poacher, Paloschi, and the fast striker/dribbler in Pato. They wouldnt' necessarly have to play at the same time, but the coach would have an option for every situation.
About Dzeko or Hernanes, if we get either of them then it's wonderful news. Dzeko is probably the 'hottest' striker in europe at the moment. Benzema has had a poor season, Eto'o has been playing really poorly since christmas for Barcelona, which sounds rediculess considering he has scored quite a few goals, and considering his goal in the CL final, but he has really lacked consistency, and it has been pretty normal for him to miss 2-3 big chances a game lately.
I do feel we should have a bit more faith in Ronaldinho though, he shouldn't be the direct replacement for Kaka, I agree, but I do feel that he still can contribute. Don't forget that he did play really well in his last couple of games, despite only being a sub. Remember the Roma game?? He looked confident, and as soon as he had confidence he was absolutly godlike. I agree he is a questionmark, and we can't just not sign anybody and hope things go well, but still, I don't think we should write him off just yet. Leonardo seems like the one that can get the most out of him, and in the event that he gets close to his best level, then we'll be set.

great post. u gave me hope for tomorrow
So guys, if which player do you prefer if you have to choose : Hernanes or Dzeko? :D
If Kaka goes and it's true that Leonardo plays 4-3-3 formation, Dzeko could be more useful since he can play as targetman or as second forward/wing forward (he was an attacking midfielder before playing now as striker). That will make :
--Pato----Boriello------Dzeko--
------------Pirlo--------------
-----Flamini-------Gattuso----
With Hernanes, we could play like :
------Rossi----------Pato/Boriello--------
--------------Pilro--------------
---Flamini---Hernanes--Gattuso--
I personally prefer Hernanes because I think, in these days having a very strong midfield (with good strikers) is better than having a very strong forward with only good midfield.
PS : I don't believe Ronaldinho can get his best or at least 80-90% of his best performance. From what Leonardo advised Pato at the beginning of season 2008/09 that he should have more concentration in the training (or something like that), I doubt Leonardo will play Ronaldinho.

I think that the only reason we are having this debate re Kaka, is primarily because we have Ronaldinho, and that Leonardo is ok with just him as a fantastista behind the strikers....
If Leo wasnt going to play R80, it would be R80 up for sale, not Kaka...

Our midfield is the one that needs a creative player right now, our strikers arent great either but they are better than the midfield. I think we should also get Rossi as a striker, he always wanted to join Milan (he's a fan too).
I prefer Hernanes even I know Dzeko could go to other club since we need a creative midfielder to make our midfield stronger even much stronger since a Hernanes could make an impact to Pirlo like Flamini (probably) did to Gattuso : a competition that (probably) made Gattuso regain or even exceed his best performance.
A trio of Hernanes, Pirlo and I hope Kaka will be as great as Barcelona have (Iniesta, Xavi, Messi). Even if Kaka goes, a combination of Hernanes, Pirlo, Flamini and Gattuso could be also form a very strong midfield.
Rossi is still a very rationable option regarding his quality, price and position of play.

dzeko doesn't have a german passport or eu passport, check the link below. I think german either have 5 non eu spots or no restrictions on players so quite a lot of the foreign players have work visa's.

I think that the only reason we are having this debate re Kaka, is primarily because we have Ronaldinho, and that Leonardo is ok with just him as a fantastista behind the strikers....
If Leo wasnt going to play R80, it would be R80 up for sale, not Kaka...
Well, we don't know if Kaka himself wants to go or it's the wish of Berlusconi (management) to sell Kaka. In addition Ronaldinho is the beloved player of Berlusconi (no need to discuss).
About Leonardo, what he can do is only accepting what Berlusconi does with Kaka's selling since this is really not the area of the coach (this is really a special case, just like Sheva saga). But for other possible transfer (players coming in or moving out from Milan), Leonardo should have influence.

Indeed Siregar....my assumption is that Kaka doesnt want to leave...those are the last things we have from him, apart from his mysterious "I will speak when its the right time" quote.
Now if he does, and its because he wants a revised contract, ie higher wages, then he can leave. Hes already one of, if not the highest paid player in the world...so if this is about a wage increase, then I have no problem with us selling.

Hasan, I still think we are keeping Kaka.....as Maltese_Charlie said, this is all a plot for the elections. This situation is so much like the Man City saga.
Take it easy boys, Kaka's staying! Enough about him. So we can't get both Dzeko and Hernanes, it has to be one or the other? hmmmm, I would have liked to get both. Doesn't one of them have an EU-passport somewhere? If I were to chose between one of them.....I think ... i will say..... Hernanes. That's not what Maltese Charlie is saying, I think.
The elections end today at 10 pm local time. If Berlusconi were to come out and clearly say "Kaka' is leaving" it could have an impact on the elections. So, when Maltese Charlie says, "it was all planned," he means that Berlu knows Kaka' is leaving. I think that's what Maltese charlie is saying.
Also, as someone who follows Italian politics, I can assure you Berlusconi was not in need of a boost. He was leading comfortably in polls. If anything this whole Kaka' saga, alongside debauchery at that villa, his alleged affair with a minor and marital meltdown, has hurt Berlu's image.
So, now the question is, why would Berlu want this done the week of elections? That is the only thing that perplexes me still. Why not wait, and minimize the political risk? The only answer that comes to mind is that Berlusconi is senile and is losing the plot. It is a dismaying thought, but one that needs to be discussed. Has Berlusconi lost his marbles? It appears that he still has his stones. Just ask his mistresses. But has he lost his marbles?
More than anything, our team needs a big, strong forward capable of holding up the ball and acting as a reference. Adebayor sounds great, but he's not worth the price. Toni is old. Borriello is unreliable. I'm intrigued by the news of Dzeko. He's done some amazing things last season, and would seem to be the perfect partner for Pato. He's tall, fast and lethal, but he also made lots of assists for a forward. Having Beckham or Pirlo play it long and aim for his head while Pato (or Kaka) make darting runs behind him is a weapon that Milan sorely need. Inzaghi cannot do this. Gilardino barely could. Also, Dzeko is only 23, yet he was voted Bundesliga player of the year and won his team the league.
The only negative thing I can see is, of course, the fact that he has no EU passport. This would mean no other non-EU signings (Thiago Silva+Dzeko). Still, I think we need him FAR more than Hernanes right now, especially if Seedorf stays. I'm glad Galliani seems to be making the right moves.
-------------------Dida (I still have faith in him)
Flamini----Nesta---Thiago Silva---Zambro
---------Gattuso--Pirlo---Seedorf(Ambro)
------------------Kaka(R80)
----------Dzeko (Borri)---Pato
Now lets hope for a miracle tomorrow and Kaka stays. If he doesn't, i'd be willing to gamble on Ronaldinho.

Yes, so I do, Warro. If it is Kaka's wish to leave, then why should we keep him. But he always says that as long as Milan aim for thropies (with building a strong team), he will stay with Milan. So, this is really confusing especially for me. That's why I don't get into this problem with my emotion as Milan fan so much.
And yes, he earns really big.
Regarding the use of Ronaldinho, if Kaka really has to leave (from his wish or Berlusconi's wish), then Leo can't do anything. What he can do is trying to convince Ronaldinho to train hard and concentrated like he did to Pato and I hope that can work but I still have doubt if Ronaldinho will train hard to gain his best performance since he seems really having problem with motivation (to regain his best performance by training hard).
Its a bit strange to me that most of you think that one big Cf can change our game completely or at least in a great way. Big forvard is not necessary, quality forward is a key. I'd choose Eto'o in front of everyone.
Eto'o has spanish passport and is able to cover a lot ofspace while playing.
Second thing: im 500% sure Ronaldinho CANT play as a central AM. And if we play Pato-----Dinho that is completely misplaced Pato playing out too wide.
CF
More, we will have midfield of: Pirlo, Ambro, Rino, Flamini, See, Dinho, Abate. This midfield lacks quality CM that can play up and down and one good and fast am ( Dinho can move with fast tempo he showed it milion itmes in past 2 years ).
If we are ready to change our formation we need a player like Fabregas and one MOVABLE CF that covers a lot of ground.
Dzeko means no more non eu players, we must choose carefully. That means no Hernanes. Also, Dzeko will cost 20mln, Milan will buy one more CB for 20 and one fullback MAYBE for 7,8 and we have "invested". That will be completely horrible to see.
I expect 80 mln investment, the oney we gained from Yoan+Kaka', not less! Not a euro less.

Hmm maybe he wants to turn the attention away from his orgy scandal and that's why he's inventing a story that Kaka will be sold, who knows. :eekani:
But, if he was doing this to get more votes, he would have come out a day earlier and say that Kaka won't leave, since the elections end today but he didn't do that, so it's something else.

Berlusconi has the election pretty much wrapped up:
In Italy, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's centre-right coalition finished ahead of the socialist opposition, with between 39% and 43% of the vote, exit polls suggested.

Well this is what Galliani said a couple of days ago:
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport published today, AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani said : "If Kaka will leave, it will be only due to money. We cannot afford to ignore lucrative offers anymore. With 70 millions or more, we might sell Kaka. I am aware of how AC Milan fans may feel if Kaka would leave, but feelings are separate from business. I also know that Kaka is very attached to the club and to our fans, but even an affectionate and loyal player like him has to deal with business and should think about the financial aspect of football. Anyway, we are not going to sell all of our stars. Kaka could leave, but our other key players are not for sale. We still have Ronaldinho, who can play in Kaka's position. Moreover, I can say that I am in the process of signing a top forward and you will soon find out who he is".
In the meantime, AC Milan boss Silvio Berlusconi said on TV station Canale Italia : "All offers for Kaka from other clubs will be considered, but I have told Galliani and Kaka to wait before making a final decision. I will talk to them in person on Monday. What I can say now is that the final decision must be made by Kaka. That's what happened a few years ago with Andrei Shevchenko. When we received Chelsea's staggering offer, I told him to make the final decision".
Transfermarketweb.com (http://transfermarketweb.com/?action=read&idsel=36718)
Now apparently he's trying to sign a CF, and if what has been said here about Galliani being in Sarajevo is true, then I'm absolutly postitive that the CF is Dzeko.

With reports that Fly Emirates will pour money into Milan, and Berlu's political party way ahead in polls, why haven't we considered a rather obvious factor in this situation?
Berlu is a businessman, one of his major sources of income is the media.
How does he generate increased viewers of his media? By creating something for the world to watch. What would that be? Reports of Kaka leaving, if they are just reports, and the club quashes them, then there is no buzz, no internet clicks, no tvs turned on, no newspapers bought. Don't you see?
I think Kaka not speaking about this is because since he has a man of high-morals, he probably doesn't like the idea of being misleading. He said so in his last comment on his proposed transfer.
So, if Berlu doesn't have to worry about his image (because he's won his election), the money, or any other factors, the only one that I can think of, that makes any sense, is that his media outlets need more people looking because profits are down. Which would make sense, especially since newspapers across the world are falling behind in profits, it just seems that he's attempting to garner attention to his publications and media, while also setting a screen for the intended transfers targets of Milan.
If Kaka is sold, then Berlu played the whole thing poorly, but if Kaka isn't sold, that frankly Berlu did quite well to milk the issue to its fullest.
Fullest? We keep over rating businessmen even when the whole business system has collapsed. A week's worth of higher ratings is considered genius? not that we have any proof that that's the case at all. Maybe even on the whole this is more negative than positive (if he stays, nevermind if he leaves).
Let's say he creates excitement by coming on tv tomorrow and says 'Kaka resta...' so? he was already a player under contract...
Milan is one of the most prestigious names in world sport, no more games using the name.

Eto'o has spanish passport,is not hard to get,but yet he asks for 10 m euros a year, its impossible for him drop 4 m euros for Galliani while Dzeko is the best option for Milan, theres a problem for us,if we sign him we wont be able to sign Hernanes.unfortunately, both would be so important for us.
i dont expect anything from this midfield,Gattuso-Pirlo-Ambrosini and Dinho.static, slow, soft midfield,we at most can be 3rd with them.im very optimistic about them.at least we should add Hernanes to him.
is it to hard to have a mercato like this,Marchetti,CB,Maxwell,Hernanes(or Cigarini),Sneijder,Guiseppe Rossi,Dzeko.
are we dreaming about next season?we will stay with like we were in midfield?Static, slow, predictable, soft midfield, now we'll add Ronaldinho to them now.now its Toni's or Trez round or Forlan.Galliani style of signings.
Iniesta has a turn of pace and dribbling ability that Cesc and Xavi lack,we have any iniesta in midfield?Seedorf was,yet he passed his best,we didnt replace him yet.he is still the best according to Galliani.i know.for 4-3-1-2,a player like him is too important.
Marchetti
Zambrotta CB/Nesta Thiago Silva Maxwell(Jankulovski,Kaladze will be sold)
Gattuso/Flamini Hernanes(or Cigarini) Sneijder(Ambrosini will be sold,Pirlo and Seedorf will be sold)
Guiseppe Rossi(Kaka will be sold)
Dzeko Pato(inzaghi will be sold or let him go)
Spend Kaka's 68.5 m euros for these signings,Real is willing to give Sneijder)and with Gourcuff's,Pirlo's sale, solve your debts problem)then everything is solved.
but what Galliani will do,he will sign Getafe player and Forlan.same midfield will continue,we'll have 30 players,25 of them are finished and old,4-5 of them are young and at their prime.he will pay ridicolous amounts of wages to old and finised playera and we will have to sell Pato next season to close the debts.

If you don't see that then, frankly, you know very little about football. Having the right player in your team is far more important than having the best player.
My milan 09/10 would look like this if i could choose:
Team A
frey
flamini--nesta--silva--zamb
gattuso--essien--r10--sneijder
pato--dzeko
Team B
dida(kalac)
drenthe(mattioni)--bonera(darmian)--zapatta(senderos)--maxwell(antonini)
foggia(beckham)--hernanes(cardacio)--rosina--ambrosini
sheva(viudez)--borriello(inzaghi)
coming in(10): frey, maxwell, drenthe, zapatta, essien, sneijder, foggia, hernanes, rosina, dzeko
out(11): kaka, favalli, emerson, maldini, pirlo, oddo, gorky, abbiatti, kaladze, janku, seedorf

Your objective is to get rid of Abs and keep Kalac? That won't be an issue anyway, since Frey isn't going anywhere, but nonetheless it certainly wasn't Kalac who saved our cans on a semiregular basis last season.
Second, to think we're going to completely overhaul the roster by adding all those players listed in your "In" section is mighty unrealistic (like just about every other transfer wish list out there). It reeks of too much Championship Manager on the brain.

I don't understand how Drenthe, Zapatta, Maxwell, Beckham, Hernanes, Rosina, and Ambro (now that he's the capt) would be OK with being a backup?
Definitely no way Beckham, Hernanes, or Zapatta would take a backup role. Borriello left before because he wasn't playing, and he would be unhappy being Dzeko's backup.
PS. I'm not talking talent, just the willingness of the players.
dzeko's scoresheet is quite impressive, but I doubt his ability holding the ball and createing space for others, graffite is their man for that job in his team.
dzeko is more a finisher than a target man we desperately need,I like adebayor in milan better.

Yes, I just don't see this as an improvement to our last season.
Practically, the best player leaves and his side kick replaces him with all the same midfield we had last year but a year older.......read slower

Guys, he is staying, a friend of a friend who knows someone who is a friend of.......you know the story.
Honestly, he is staying as I really don't see the reason of Berlu selling him. Don't you guys notice that on Sunday, Berlu told the world that everything must be done through me speech. Kind of familar right.
I am not going to list out reasons why I think Kaka is staying as I posted it out over the past few days and others had also said it.
Just one thing I really want to bring it up, where is Leo? No press had even spoken to him about this Kaka's transfer? Don't you find that strange?
I am still hoping for the introduction of CR7, Vidic and Santacroce on Monday night.
One more thing, why can't Milan sell Seedorf, even if the sell is 1mil, they can still save 10mil in salary for next year.

hopefully any transfers revenues will go directly to the clubs management so Milan won't have to depend on berlusconi to sign the cheques. it is more important build a young strong team with cash used from the sales of player the debts can wait until next year i can't see any affect 70 million euro worth of debt will have on Milan. Manchester united are 600 millions in debt liverpool are 360 millions euro worth in the red and inter Milan are over 290 million euros in the red. hopefully the sale of Kaka and other players will herald some independence from Berlusconi and his ridiculous prestige buying. as for Foggia he already played for Milan and milan were foolish enough to sell him. we owe abate a turn at the San Siro hopefully he can become a established player for milan. Cardacio and antonini have also proved themselves in friendly games and uefa cup ties i would be happy to see them being starters for ac milan. to honest milan need one new striker another winger who can play cmf as well another second striker/amf as ronaldinho isn't up to the task a side back to replace kaladze or oddo a new centre back and a goalkeeper. i am going to state this again i would love dzeko to be a ac milan player he is awesome probably the next shevchenko and works his socks for any team. we should be very careful before buying another Brazilian especially since that twaz Dunga took the brazil post, he has undermined and attacked Milan at every opportunity it would not be wise to supply him with another top class player.

johncharles can you please use 'enters' and alineas in your posts :) that would make it much easyer to read!
If I say "sell Kaka'", people are going to trash me because it will be seen like a lack of respect ... so why can we still read from those same people who would say such a thing ("what a lack of respect") that they want Kaladze or Seedorf to leave ?!
This day will be like the one when Berlusconi announced at 23h45 that Kaka' wouldn't move in January ... all reports right now are about the fact that this move to Real is official even if there is no official statement. Anyway, I don't know what to think or hope right now, just wait and see, like rosoneri_11 said.
Someone said that Dzeko was more a finisher than a target man, it's true, and he also said that the one who had to create spaces was Grafite, it's true too, so he doubts Dzeko could do well in Milan (will4li I think ?). But I think Pato is better than Grafite and can do this job of creating spaces for Dzeko if Dzeko was to come ... Of course, this duo would be even better with Kaka' behind them as Kaka' can create spaces too.
I have never seen a player more overrated than Dzeko - probably Adebayor.

Actually, I can't blame you if you say sell Kaka. I'm pretty sick of all these rumours all the time and this whole media frenzy gets to me, which I can imagine would also get to our other players too. We'd get A LOT of money for Kaka too and in all honesty, the way his group constantly demand wage increases also bothers me. We should aim to keep Kaka imo, as he's a brilliant player who is a massive part of our club. However, there are limits as to how much this stuff can go on, and if Bosco and co are always so ready to negotiate with other clubs and chase after the cash, then why should we stop them. I'm getting to the point where I'd probably just be willing to accept the offer if this is the way it is.
Seedorf and Kaladze are in different positions for me. Both have contributed a lot in the past and deserve credit for it. However, neither are playing to the standard expected of them at the club and at least in my perspective, that's why we should sell them.

Kaka said as late as June 2nd that he assured all Milan-fans that he wants to stay. Today Berlusconi says that if it's up to him, then Kaka will stay.
How can this go wrong? If he is sold then either Kaka, Berlusconi or both have betrayed us. I'd like to think that this will not happen and that Kaka will stay.

$s currupts, lots of $s corrupts a lot.
If there is one thing I dislike in a person, its greed...and Kaka's Dad seems to be as greedy as they get.
If what I believe is true, then I can't wait for them to leave....actually, though Kaka and Co. show a squeaky clean image to the world, almost every season they leverage a pay raise based on the purported, or actual interest from other clubs.
How much $ is enough?
The only way we sell Kaka is this: Okay, you can have him but you have to take Seedorf as well, he comes free of charge :haha:

I have never seen a player more overrated than Dzeko - probably Adebayor.
and the reason is?
@fret: good. maybe we could add Dida on the list.
Actually, I don't want Kaka' to leave even if it's starting to be boring each mercato ... and especially the last one and this one (before, it was just rumours, now there are official negotiations).
About Seedorf and Kaladze, you all want them to leave because you see them as starters if they stay, whereas I tend to think about the way they could be useful if they stay as backups ...
PS: I'm starting to ask myself if Berlusconi and Kaka' really have a good relationship because Berlusconi and Kaka' always put the blame on each other if Kaka' was to be sold (Berlu always saying "we keep him until he wants to leave" and Kaka' saying "I stay until they want to sell me" ...).

It looks like Nasri said so, another source (don't remember which one) even says that Adebayor signed a 4-year contract, which is stupid as they also add that Wenger doesn't want to sell him (you can only sign if the deal is done between the clubs) and only if Dzeko comes ...

This is not good news. I'd rather have Dzeko than Ade. Dzeko likely has a better (and longer remaining) future than Ade too.
And also Adebayor will be gone in some part of the season because of the African Nations Cup and that's NOT GOOD
I'd also like to see Dzeko rather than Ade or Benzema or whoever
But the fact is, Milan is the club that should've bought Dzeko and Eto'o without selling their star player Kaka.
If they sell Kaka just to replace him with Toni, then it's a disgrace
I don't understand how Drenthe, Zapatta, Maxwell, Beckham, Hernanes, Rosina, and Ambro (now that he's the capt) would be OK with being a backup?
Definitely no way Beckham, Hernanes, or Zapatta would take a backup role. Borriello left before because he wasn't playing, and he would be unhappy being Dzeko's backup.
PS. I'm not talking talent, just the willingness of the players.
I was just saying if I could choose my type of team. Second of all, there will be a lot of games to be played with coppa, cl, and serie a, so we cud use the talent and if leonardo rotated, a lot of those players would see action. Who would u suggest we keep on the bench? abate? if ronaldinho played as a backup, i see no reason that the others cant as well.
Not happening.
Again, it was not supposed to be totally realistic, I just put in a very complete squad that we could afford with the money from kaka, gorky, and other players sold. I do not see why such a squad is totally out of the question considering we will be playing around 60-80 games next year. If u look at the inter bench you see a lot of talented players like mancini, viera, obinna, jiminez, chivu, matterazzi, burdisso, toldo, motta, milito. why can't we have hernanes, rosina, zapata, foggia, borriello, pasqual n the likes on our bench? these were just names I was throwing around, but if milan wants to return to its glory days, it would be a good idea to purchase some young talent and add to the squad depth because we are going nowhere with players like kaladze, janku, seedorf.

actually i like luca toni a completely refreshing approach no nonsense goals and plenty of them as well. Toni is but too old for my tastes and no replacement for kaka, if Milan are to replace kaka they would need to buy giovinco ribery and fabregas.
Dzeko is the ideal option for Milan only 23 talented works hard and scores plenty of goals plus a lot cheaper than eto or adebayor. If Berlusconi determined to buy a superstar player than try and buy vidic or Mexes. I don't mind as long as Milan don't assimilate another 30 year old former star
Dzeko overrated?!

Has anyone ever think of that case...........
Lets just remember what kaka said before 6 days!
MILAN, June 2 (Reuters) - Brazil playmaker Kaka wants to stay at AC Milan despite fresh interest from Real Madrid following the election of Florentino Perez as president.
"I say it for the last time, I don't want to leave Milan. In this period I prefer to stay quiet because I don't want to be misinterpreted," he told reporters on Tuesday.
"To the millions of Rossoneri (AC Milan) fans I say my decision has been made. I have said I want to stay. Now please leave me in peace."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaka is a human that had shown to us what kind o man he is(until now).He is a good familiar,a good human who believes in God very much, a quiet and low profile man,a man that you can trust him and believe in him,he is the profile of the good human and a man that you can trust to keep his word.
So Kaka said those things 6 days before all these news untill now.
No matter how many millions Real are giving to him with those comments he destroys every signle possibility of a Real fan and calm our fans.
If we believe the recent news that he has sign with Real, please tell me what to the hell had happend in those 6 days and he leaves us?
Whow did he changed his mind 100% and sign with them? Kaka is not
a human like C.Ronaldo every single day to change his mind today to stay with United and next day to go for Real, Kaka has shown to everyone what
person he is.
My question is, did Kaka lied to us, did he become a traitor like sheva did? (i can't imagine that with what he has shown to us)
But if he becomed a traitor i can't imagine him lieing us,the Kaka we all know would had said the truth saying i want to leave and go Mardid if he wanted that and not changing his mind and say differnt things after 6 days.
Lastly on the other hand all these recent news about going to Real maybe are a bad big joke wich Kaka will erase today. And that what i'm expecting from him to do.
I he don't then he will be a traitor like $heva.
Thats another option of that story because all here we are blaming Berlu and Galiani (wich i agree) if he leaves. But like berlu said and i'm 100% with him that he could do everything to keep him but the final decision will be made by Kaka.
Please Kaka don't let me down!

Ok, I see you believe in Kaka', but if they announce tonight that he leaves, what will you think about the declaration you quoted ??
To give you an answer (what I think actually), if tonight, it is announced by Berlusconi that he leaves, I'm pretty sure that Kaka' will come in medias saying that he felt like the club wanted to sell him, and you will also have Berlusconi who will say, of course again if Kaka' leaves only, that it was the choice of the player ...
Kaka' can't say anything else after all these years saying "God will decide" and then "the club will decide" (did Berlusconi suddenly become God ?) ... anyway Berlusconi can say whatever he wants now as his political group won in Italy ...

Brk:
I missplaced my theory, coz of the language barier. I wanted to say: Milan cant just sign a tall central forward and think that it is gonna solve the sale of Kaka'. That forward would need to have so much class that he can take large part of our game in his "hands". Becouse to replace Kaka' with, for example, Toni or Trez, wouldnt be enough at this moment. Aldough they are the right players for us, specially as they would play with Pato, they would not be able to fill the transition gap that will be created when Kaka' is gone.
That is why I would choose Eto'o or Benzema in front of Dzeko, aldough Dzeko would be a BETTER solution IF Kaka' stays. But if Kaka' leaves we would need some player like Ribery ( transition player, fast man who covers flanks as well as plays in the middle, which Dinho CANT ) and THEN a tall CF.
Also, our midfield will need one player to REPLACE KAka', we cant just sign a forward, it solves nothing.
Midfield with Pirlo, Rino, Ambro, See, Dinho is useless right now! A player like Hernanes, Gourcuff!!!, Fabgreas is needed EVEN if Ricky stays.
------------------------------------------------------
Benzema is class, aldough he had a bit of an off half season. He is young, eu player that will allow us to buy Hernanes ( versatile and great player ) for midfield.
And if Milan really sells Ricky, as someone said, if we dont invest properly we can say goodbye to the next year. I dont count on Dinho as an AM not 5%. Its a dreamers job, he never played it well. Only maybe in PSG.
G.ROSSI (!!), Hernanes, Benzema, Abate, Santacroce, Maxwell. That is not more then 80mln, and we'll spend 40 max!

I'm really really loving this news about Dzeko (it's pronounced sort of like Je Ko, right?). Zlatan is the perfect option for us to partner Pato, but who could afford him. Adebayor is a cheaper Zlatan but that's still too much for Milan. I think Dzeko is really really good value for money. He reminds me a lot of when we first bought Sheva. If this is Leo's pick, then I am very impressed. I hope it happens.
Benzema is class, aldough he had a bit of an off half season. He is young, eu player that will allow us to buy Hernanes ( versatile and great player ) for midfield.
And it seems that Aulas, the president of Lyon, said that if a good offer arrives this summer, he could allow Benzema to leave (Benzema who said in February that he wanted to stay one more year in Lyon).
But I can't imagine Benzema in Milan ... and it's not because of money.
Brk:
Aldough they are the right players for us, specially as they would play with Pato, they would not be able to fill the transition gap that will be created when Kaka' is gone.
Yeah, that makes sense. I still don't think Kaka is leaving. I'll probably not even believe it after I read it today. I won't believe it tomorrow. I might believe it this time next year when I see him lifting the La Liga wearing a white shirt... Maybe...
Also, I kind of disagree with your assessment of Ronaldinho. I'm one of those that thinks the main reason he didn't perform well is because of Kaka. So if Kaka isn't there, he'll find so much more room to express himself without unbalancing the side.
I read somewhere Leo is planning a 433:
--------------Dida
Flamini--Nesta--Thiago--Zambro
-----Gattuso-------Ambro
--------------Pirlo
Pato-----------------Ronaldinho
------------Dzeko
Still doesn't feel right without Kaka, but it's good enough to challenge Inter. This might actually give more room for Pirlo to move forward right through the middle. He's usually wasted too deep in our half (sometimes behind the defenders) when we have full possession. Maybe this is how we'll us Ronaldinho? Wide on the left, assisting Ambro and Zambro as they burst down the flank?
Edit: Of course, Pato and Ronaldinho won't really be traditional wingers; they'll have a free role that starts off wide. Sort of like Messi and Rooney, and late Zidane.
Edit 2: This formation is starting to make a lot of sense to me. Here's a 2nd string lineup:
------------Abbiati
Felipe--Bonera--Kala--Janku
-----Flamini----Ambro(?)
----------Beckham
----Paloschi-------Ronaldinho(?)
------------Borriello
I don't know who would replace Ambro or Ronaldinho, and i've used Flamini twice.
The point of this is that we start off attacks by spreading the opposition out as wide as possible, and not have them clog up the middle with two or three DMs, and forcing Kaka out wide. This way, R80 goes wide, leaves space for Pato or Dzeko (or Ambro or whoever) to burst through space through the middle, maybe flick a one time pass onto someone else. No more charging through three or four player, hoping Kaka threads one through to Pippo.
Yes, i'm assuming Seedorf is leaving.

If you've watched the matches this season, Pato can only wing around on the left of the pitch, that would clash with Ronnie's position. Until Becks comes back, the only other option we'd have on the right wing would be Flamini.
I highly doubt that this would actually work well either. Pirlo is the only decent passer from midfield, but Pato and Ronnie will have to track back on more occasions than one, which I really don't see either doing much. We can't keep possession of the ball in midfield, then we won't be able to feed the front, much less score. From the looks of it, its gonna be another tough season if Kaka gets sold.
If we have 30 million to spend on one player that means you know what....I hope I am wrong obviously but we will see.
I don't believe that we actually could bring in Fabregas. If (when) he goes, it will be Barcelona.
Lately, I'm more and more intrigued by this Hernanes, didn't see much of him though, but if he's as good as some people here say, then it' would be a pity not to get him.
That would mean no Dzeko, but considering latest rumors regarding him, it seems he is the next #9 in Milan
Actually, Pato does incredibly well on both flanks. In fact, I think he's a lot better on the right. Still, this doesn't mean that he's a winger, or R80; they start off wide and move in. I have a feeling R80 will play the same way Messi does, but on the other side. Getting the ball wide, cutting past the defender and crossing it, or passing it short. What I mean is that Ronaldinho will not replace Kaka as the trequartista.
In fact, I don't think we will play with a trequartista. We sold Gourcuff. We will sell Seedorf. We might sell Kaka. Those were our only real trequartistas. Why sell them all, unless you know you're not going to really need them. All the noise is about defenders and big strikers. You don't hear any news about attacking midfielders, only wishful thinking (Fabregas, CR7).
This makes sense, people.
Reza, I think you mean "If we have to spend 30 Million on one player"
I have to agree. Because of the amount people know we'd get for Kaka, they'll be asking crazy large transfer fees just so we can buy our replacements, and we'll have to fork it over simply because Management will be desperate to get these replacements and not look like fools (which they actually are, but just don't want to admit it).
If I remember correctly...... when Sheva left, his replacement Olivera (stupid flop) came to us for......... 15 Million Euros, simply because it was the last day of the transfer market, and no one wanted to come replace the Arrow :P
we won't spend that sort of money on one player.
and if we do it's ridiculous. why sell your best player, who would have happily stayed, to replace him with another player who costs loads but might not turn out as good.
and I'm not sure Dzeko is worth it, can anyone name any striker over the last 3 or 4 years that they would have been happy with had Kaka left. Maaaaybe fernando torres, that guy we already dropped the ball on after trailing him for about 4 years and building significant relationships with athletico, but no one else.
lets all remember lazio who thought they could get away selling veron and nedved and replace them with like for likes in the price department in fiori and mendieta. saw the end of the club as a force.
That too Ryo, and yes if management do want to actually spend it you are right.
In principle you are right meazza, if we are to spend comparable amounts it doesn't make sense anyway. Now I know some may say with that money we can fix more than one position but losing Kaka in the way we seem to be doing will damage the club more than what can be done with the positional fixes.
In fact, I don't think we will play with a trequartista. We sold Gourcuff. We will sell Seedorf. We might sell Kaka. Those were our only real trequartistas. Yeah, it's really strange Milan splash 30 mil euros for a new comer.
Could it be that Milan try to get Dzeko so that the price won't go so high if Milan for example want take him next season? In other hand, Hernanes has transfer clause (25 mil euros) if I am not mistaken. That could be the reason why Milan chase Dzeko and not Hernanes since Hernanes price is limited until 25 mil euros if he really has the clause.

O yeah he will as long as Wolfsburg is willing to listen to him, which Im sure they are. HE want out because Felix the coach also left, he went to Shalke 04. Misimovic is also a great player, he assisted most of the goal that Dzeko and Grafite scored durining the season. He is also Bosnian :)

because Dzeko agent since the mid march to rumoured to be organising meetings with football clubs yet again according to certain rumours. no official statements yet but you have to guess that Dzeko wants to play he a bigger club plus the manager is leaving the club and with him Dzeko loyalty to wolfburg
In which position Mismovic plays, Bosniaco? I also read, like you said, he provided most of assists for Wolfsburg. Can you give some information about Musimovic (his strength, weakness, suitable for Milan or not, etc.)?
Brk, you think right way. But I have to say this about that team:
Midfield of Ambro-Pirlo-Rino cant work well. Pirlo cant play in the place you puthim in coz he cant take that top phisical level anymore. Pato played wide right is wasted, his shot is cut off.
Also, MILAN WILL EARN 80mln from those 2 GREAT player we sold! Real club should now spend 120mln for 4 great players! And I can bet Milan will not spend even those 80! Its disgusting to see! From this mercato Berlusconi will spend 0 euro, and he'll even earn money! **** that, that is pathetic!
Instead of having both Kaka' and Yoan in here and creating great team I have to be happy we will buy one 30mln player that does not play in Kaka's position? I have no words.
Buy 5 players and that will show Berlusconi invested, this is sad. And Laonardo also, if he knew about this **** and took the job then he is a puppet also. And why we didnt got back Yoan if we knew we'll sell Kaka' ( which WE DID). Coz THEY TOOK THE MONEY!
Go away from Milan money grabbing....!

Ok mrki....I am trying to understand your position...
You think Berlu wants to sell Kaka, and pocket the money? And you say he (ie Berlu) has $11B?
I think Berlu wants to sell Kaka because almost every season, Kaka gets a new contract, usually in the face of several clubs asking for him, and of course, offering him better terms...and this time, Berlu cant/doesnt want to pay more, as he (Berlu) says, it is the law in Italy that if you give better terms to one player, you have to give to all (Which personally I think is a ridiculous, almost unbelievable rule)...and that model simply isnt sustainable (which I can believe).
Now, if its true that Kaka is demanding even more wages to stay, do you think its reasonable for Berlu to cash in on him now?
I am not aware of these "paycheck rules" in Italy and what the hell is this thing that Kaka has to get an improved contract every year, aren't all those (i think 8) millions enough already?
Isn't he a Christian evangelican, which are "Hard Core" Christians, he shoudn't be that greedy
Jesus Christ, this whole thing is is becoming absurd
Where the hell are the "good ole days :510:" when players had normal contracts
^^^ I don't think it's a law persay...it just looks bad for one player to be earning SO MUCH more than the rest of the team. Also it can cause a chain reaction of other players demanding wage increases which we can't financially support.

That aside though, Kaka is (along with Ibra) the highest paid player in the world.
And this for me is the crux of the matter...how $s much is enough?

He plays as AM for Wolfsburg and for the Bosnian national team. He is out capitan. On some ocations he would shift into the Kaka position, acting like a striker.Bosnian national team play a lot with just Dzeko upfront so Misimovic helps him out in the attack. He has a great view of the game, passes the ball well and brings other players into the play or game. I personally think he is a great player but not for Milan (even know I m Bosnian). Maybe because of his age 27, but I cant see him to carry on a team like Milan. I can probably see Misimovic move to Shalke with Felix or Bayern if they sell Ribery. The only weakness with Misimovic maybe that sometimes he gets lazy, and does not run after the ball to put pressure upfront. Other then that he is very good.

i think kaka offered to take a pay cut beside he probably grosses Milan 45 million euros a year in sponsorship tshirt and merchandise deals. the only reason to cash in on kaka is to rebuild he squad without berlusconi influence. Even Berlusconi fan has to admit that he like prestige players with ronaldo ronadinho rivaldo and co all joining Milan, you can argue he has the right to do this. If you wanted to offer Kaka better terms you could provide him with a captaincy guaranteed starts more business independence and managerial training after his 33rd birthday, doesn't always have to be a higher wage this is just another Berlusconi accuse.

Bosniaco, go easy.
Who do you believe in all this? Kaka, and his family, or Berlu and Co.?
In truth, its hard who to believe...do we go with the Evangelist, or the cynical businessman? I propose we go with neither, but use our intelligence to piece the puzzle together:
What I know for sure is that Kaka is the best paid player (straight salary) along with Ibra.
I also know that Kaka has gotten improved terms almost every single season he has been here.
Further, I know that Madrid will pay him slightly more, and probably meet the demands of Kaka“s dad. (note this last is the only thing I am not sure about)
Ok, those are the "facts" as we know them.
What we dont know:
Does Kaka want a pay raise from Milan in order to say?
Does Berlu really want to sell him?
Does Kaka want to stay, at his present salary?
Those for me, are the big questions.
I dont for a moment think Berlu wants to sell...its a loss of prestige for him to sell a prized asset, and I doubt his ego can stand that sort of a blow.
What I believe is behind the "indecent" haste with which Milan moved on the Real Madrid situation, is that interest from another club spurs Kaka“s "handlers" to ask for better terms from Milan“s management....and this move by Milan is in direct response, a "bluff" as it were:
ie, Stay, but on the same terms, or leave...matter of fact, here is a club interested in paying you more...we even went ahead to smooth the way, so all you have to do is sign on the dotted line. If you want to stay, feel free...but if you want to go, see yah!
The major difference here is that I dont believe for a minute that Kaka would want to play for Man City, while he wouldnt hesitate to play for Madrid...

Well, they are protestants, and they have different "rules" about earning and spending money than members of the Roman-catholic church. Their ethics demands hard work and the money that comes out of that work is not a bad thing as it could be in a catholic point of view. Therefore, Real M. is a good chance to him and his family for a wealthy earth living. And no chance should be wasted. So they say.

About Kaka, there's two options, he either moves to Real Madrid, or Berlusconi will ones again come out playing the hero that saves the day. In the second case then we'll get the whole trip, the medical, everything, hell Berlusconi would probably come running into Bernabeu and take the pen out of Kaka's hand while signing the contract. So all these news from goal.com, AS and Marca don't mean nothing to me. It's only when he has signed the contract, or when Berlusconi comes out saying that Kaka wont leave that we'll know for sure.

Lo sguardo di Kaką verso Madrid Kaką's gaze towards Madrid
According to Marca, the first time at Santiago Bernabeu Kaką from the merengues new player will be the next June 30 when presented in the Journal of Real supporters. Il motivo dello slittamento della presentazione č il veto posto dalla CBF, la federcalcio brasiliana, che non ha concesso a Kaką il permesso di volare a Madrid per essere presentato nelle prossime ore. The reason for the postponement of the presentation is the embargo placed by the CBF, the Brazilian Federcalcio, not Kaką granted permission to fly to Madrid to be presented in the next few hours. Whats different then vs now? Oh! Wait! You go on to say:
This is it looks to like Galliani went to Perez and said " Hey I will sell you Kaka if you want" of course Perez said yes because Real has all the money
And this had nothing to do with the fact that to keep him (according to your argument above) we would have had to match what Madrid were going to offer?
So, being one of the most highly paid players (along with Ibra) isnt enough, you have to be the most highly paid player?

I think by the end of the day he'll have signed for Real officially and it'll be an amount about £20 million short of what it should be - I think we'll have offloaded him for around £50 million, hope i'm totally wrong though.
I hate how Berlusconi is always trying to say he's right and it's never his fault.
Can't see the money being well spent either. When it should be used on players like Hamsik, Hernanes, etc ... it'll be used on dross we don't need, old superstars well past it or maybe not even used at all!

I don't know how about you, but I'm ready to lose Kaka. From the economical point of view it's the best moment to let him go. We can't keep Ricky in Milan. 70 mln euro it's good money. From the tactical poiont of view it also can be smart option. Milan is addicted to Kaka's disposition. When he plays average, Milan as a team also dissapoints. Do you remember issues of Fernando Torres or Thierry Henry? Atletico earned great money, which they spent on improving team quality and there was no one player responsible for creating game. Responsibility was shared to all players from forward formations. The same with Arsenal without Henry.

I am trying to be positive.
We really needed a change. In the last decade we have won 2 CLs and a Scudetto.
Kaka' has given us a lot, and every summer there was intrigue. We can finally put this matter to bed.
I have faith in Ronaldinho, and I think Dzeko (God willing he comes) could be the tall striker we have been after. You know the one who can be effective in the box.
Latest reports suggest that we may pay only 18 million for him, so we must use the rest of the money to buy Mexes or Santacroce.
Finally, I don't think Kaka' is innocent in all of this. His entourage have been extorting money from Milan for a while.
Anyway, good luck Kaka'. Thanks for everything.
As long as the money goes for transfer, I am content. Just like mrki said, all money must go for new players, not even a cent for other! :D

Does anyone remember Galiani's statements?
29.11.2006 - On my tombstone will be written: "The man that didn't sell Kaka'" - A. Galliani
4.8.2007 - I'd prefer to cut my hand than to sign his sale - A. Galliani
23.1.2009 - Kaka' and Milan already told Real Madrid that he will never be for sale. And the love he showed for our colours will not make us sell him at any price. - A. Galliani.
4.6.2009 -The motives for his sale are purely economical. The heart? We are talking about business, even a big heart has to be put aside sometimes. - A. Galliani
Milan is addicted to Kaka's disposition.
Even if you are right there is zero indication that an upcoming Kaka-less Milan team will fix that. Using the money to get Dzeko, Hernanes and Zapata (one of the best case scenarios for example) will not improve the team in the sense that you are talking about
I have a question, I know that we have just one spot free for non-EU players this season, but is there any solution way that can make us get two non-EU players DZEKO and HERNANES I would like we sign both of them :D

Reza, but have a look. I don't think about replacing Kaka by concrete person. I think about making responsible for creating Milan's game not only one man, but all the forward formation. Our tactic for a long time was: "kick the ball to Kaka, he'll win this match".
We must find a Serie A club that can loan Hernanes for us. Mrki is expert in this matter! :D

Milan will have to just sit there and be a pretty good team, and yes, I know Milan won Serie A during this period under Zac, but I would much rather win the Champions League than Serie A. Sure, Serie A is nice, but the glory of the Champions League feels so much different, so much better.

With all fairness, Kaka` should just go if he wants to. Just like Shevchenko, if you want to go, just go.
There is really no reason to blame the team; if the players want to go, what can you do? And if the money is there, why not?
It's actually an indication of how a member of the team, however good you are, are not indispensible. Team >>>> Individual.

08-06-2009, 14:01
Why would you want to lose Pirlo too? Pirlo is the creative fulcrum from which Milan would be able to play next year.
Honestly, I am so scared for next season. I don't care of Dzeko, even if he is Bosnian (I'm partial to Bosnia, Albania, etc) but the reality is that unless Ronaldinho gets fit, and I don't mean match-fit (as in plays games) he needs to get FIT.
Look at Ronaldinho at Barca, 11890
This is Ronaldinho http://en.ce.cn/sports/soccer/200807/21/W020080721495223089956.jpg that we have now.
I love Ronaldinho, my nick name was given to me when I was footballer, coaches called me Samaldinho after him. But, he has to show that he's not just talented, because we know he is. It seems that even he fails to realize that many times why his tricks worked was because he had the speed and strength to get past the defender after they (the defender) tried to tear him down after the trick was down.
I just hope that our sale of Kaka to Real Madrid is like Barca's sale of Ronaldinho. It is always rumored to happen, it never does, and when it does happen, Kaka is not the same player he once was, and we win the Champions League right after he leaves.
But hey, is Henry can improve on his first season at Barca, maybe Ronaldinho can do the same here? I hope so.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lYyKlg02Tk&feature=fvw
What you think now?:)
After watching this, i feel he is definitely very overrated. A single dimension player, 4 of the 5 goals are scored from exactly the same location and same style and the last one is from the same place on the other side of the pitch. I don't see how he will make it big in Serie A and UCL if he keep doing the same thing.
I hope so.
Am I the only one think that Pirlo has all the abilities to play behind strikers? He is a very creative player and also very exprienced now and I do think he is more than capable to do the playmaker job behind the two strikers (if Milan play with 2 strikers). But it means that Milan still need a creative midfielder for their midfield if Pirlo is set to play in Kaka's position.

I think if someone should leave and we can get good money from its pirlo.
He is near 30's, he is playing worse year by year, and he is changing the whole tacticts of the team as he can't play in different position.
with him we can't play a normal system of 4-4-2.
Why would we EVER want to play a normal 4-4-2? No team in modern football plays well with a play 4-4-2, Inter doesn't play that way, Man Utd, Barca, no one. Oh yeah, Juve does, and look at how that worked out for them.
And if 4 or 5 goals of Dzeko's goals come from the same place, that makes him one dimensional? Man, I guess Super Pippo should just give up, he scores so many goals in the same location I wonder if has what it takes for Serie A.
To be honest, as a former striker, I'll tell you, if you can score the same goal, from the same place, that means you are actually even better. Why? Because the other team's defender watches you before you play, they study you, and if they know you like to do something, and they know it, and you can still do it when they know that you're going to do it, that means you're awesome.
Hope that helps.
He's a good goalscorer, but not much else.
Given his height and stature, I think people have assumed he's quite a multi-faceted striker (naturally those attributes help form a good target-man, hold-up striker etc) but in reality, I don't feel his attribute range is diverse enough to justify the hype.
I heard about him in January 2008, and since then, I have tried to follow his progress as much as possible.
He's a very good goalscorer, but IMO, he doesn't do much else. His hold-up play for a man of his stature isn't very good; he doesn't run the channels; he doesn't put the defence under heavy pressure when off of the ball; he's not a great dribbler; he doesn't have exceptional vision.
I concede that his touch, his movement, and his finishing are all superb, but I would much rather a better all-round player a la Gignac.
One more thing Berlu made over 30 million from the sale of Sheva and how much of that was spent on reinforcements? Same will happen with Kaka.

I think he can fit right there Siregar...he isnt pacy, but you dont need pace...you need skill, guile and an ability to see the play before it happens...pace helps, but it isnt the be-all and end-all of the tequartista.
The further up the field he plays, the more effective he is....didnt Pirlo play in a 442 for Italy in the WC? Cant recall....

Plus, if we were to sell Pirlo, I think D'Agostino or Cigarini would be the best options to replace him.
I don't want Milan to become a team full of non-Italians. I am not a fan of the Italian supremacist movement, I'm not even Italian, but I hope that Italian teams stay Italian, just like I'd hope my Egyptian teams stay Egyptian, but I love the mix of foreign and domestic, but clubs should maintain their national character, otherwise, all of our cultures become less valuable (football-wise).
I just wish Santacroce was linked to us as heavily as Dzeko. If I knew that Grosso, Santacroce, and Oddo were all going to be at Milan next season, I would feel a lot better. Plus, it is monday, and I was hoping to just get punched in the stomach with Kaka's sale or cheer for his stay, and now this is just cruel. I hate Berlu more and more.

Yes, I agree. With Pirlo Milan could be like at time when Rui Costa was our playmaker.

As far as I remember, Pirlo and Gattuso were the two midfielders in the centre with two other midfielders or forwards sideways.
I also think likewise. If i am playing CM with current AC Milan team, i would sell kaka if some clubs offer me that kind of money too. Kaka has for the past 2 seasons been injury prone and a bit too inconsistent than the kaka in the past. The fact that he is getting so much money from the club and yet keep having rumors about him leaving for more money is annoying.
Seedorf and Kaladze should be sold if we can get some decent and younger players as replacements. They are not going to get better, only worse. There are many more young talents out there that can bring us better performance.

Italy played this 4-4-1-1 formation for the World Cup, but it really looked like this:
-------------------Buffon
--Zambro--Nesta---------Canna----Grosso
-----------------Pirlo
---Gattuso------------------De Rossi/Perrotta
Camo
-----------------Totti
-----------------Toni
So it was actually more like a 4-3-1-1-1. The three midfielders were rather central, allowing Zambro and Grosso to constantly push forward, and Camo provided some sort of protection should Zambro get to far ahead. Though Gattuso generally covered every blade of grass, so it didn't matter.
It is one of my favorite systems, and I hope that Italy play that system again, I think the young Juve players will help make that system a reality.
You know what? Since Juve just bought Diego, why don't we just buy Giovinco? He would be fantastic, and has admitted that he is a Milan fan. It will never happen, but, I can only dream.

Great point. Italian teams should stay Italian with a small mix of foreign stars
Kaladze and Seedorf could be useful as backups BUT they earn too much for backup. Kaladze and Seedorf earn 4 million and this is too much for players with quality like them. I assume 4 million is a net wage for the player which means Milan should proide 16 millions per year only for the two players.
Sorry if I only mention Kaladze and Seedorf regarding the wages, it's only example. :)

Defenders only pay attention to famous aka star players....how famous is Dzeko whom is relatively unknown before current season?
PS, Serie A and UCL defenders are not the same standard as those german teams and he won't make it if that is his standard.
Well, if Milan pay 30 mil euro for Dzeko, it is overrated IMO but if the news to be trusted, the price is (around) 18 mil euros which is similar to Boriello's one which is also not overrated IMO.

Boriello is actually good before he got injuried. Damn, will we get him back? I believe Boriello + Pato is actually a very good combination upfront for us.

Yes, if he could stay fit, we can see what kind of striker Boriello is (regarding his ability) but unfortunately we could only watch him in some games. He generally did pretty well in the games but I think he still lacked of finishing ability whether from close range (with thight defence) or the further one.

If Grosso and Oddo were in our defensive line up next year you're looking at 5th or 6th in the league at best, that's the type of quality they have.
If Milan were after the likes of Santacroce, Criscito, Hamsik, D’Agostino, Hernanes, Santon:nana: etc, there would be more happiness as they are players with potential and might offer something.
We are Milan and should be after the best players around (certainly not getting rid of them), we are not a mid table team looking to scrape into the Europa league!
What frustrates me most is that Baldy moans about balancing the books and then he goes and gives Dida, Kaladze, Slowdorf etc all huge contracts for such little contribution where we could have invested that money in better and younger players with increasing market value. If they wanted to go down the balancing route then you sell them in a continual cycle of regeneration. However, it's obviously they lack even the foresight of investing!!

You know what, thank you for your optimism!
Kaka did say that he didn't want to be manipulated, that he wanted to say. Berlu seems to go back and forth between saying "the sale is going through, Ronaldinho can replace him" to "if it was up to me, I'd keep Kaka."
And listening to reports talking about delaying the announcement to June 30th, to me that speaks of desperation from reporters. They know that they are running out of deadline space, they have to make up something!
Plus, why would Madrid even want to wait? If they are going through with a medical, they should parade around this fact. But they aren't, Perez says his nervous about the transfer, doesn't sound like somebody who has the signature done and dusted, does it? Perez is someone who is short with his words and declarative. He just won an election and needs to keep those promises, otherwise, he'll be taken out by Madrid again.
And so what if Kaka signs a Real shirt? It was a fan, while he was on Brazil duty. How many fans only have one kind of shirt, or maybe they are Brazil fans, but not Milan fans, if I was Kaka, I would not care, because they are there to support countries, not clubs.
If I was a Milan player, playing for my country, and a young fan offered me to sign his Inter shirt, I would. To me, it doesn't matter what the person has, they are there to support me. What if that is the only jersey they have, and even if they were Inter fans (and I a Milan player), we are both fans of the national team, and clubs (for me) are secondary to my nation.
I'm sure Kaka has signed Barca, Madrid, Roma, Man Utd, and bunch of other jerseys in the past, doesn't mean a thing.
Anyway, it's Berlusconi who will announce if Kaka' goes or not ... so Kaka' is just going to justify his choice then.

PS, Serie A and UCL defenders are not the same standard as those german teams and he won't make it if that is his standard.
Listen, Pippo is one of my favorite players, but let's be honest, he scores from inside the box, using the offside-trap as his main weapon, unless he just poaches behind defenders' backs'.
Again, players who can score in the same way, against defenses who are familiar with him and also know what he likes to do, means that they are talented enough. Kaka does the same thing, he grabs the ball, runs forward and tries to shoot. That is the Kaka "move." Ronaldinho and Henry love cutting in from the left. Cristiano Ronaldo loves step overs that cut from the right into the center. That they can still do those tricks and moves means that they are good.
Furthermore, the German league isn't that bad, and many players who have come from Germany has done very well in Italy. Dzeko can only beat the players in front of him, and he has done that very effectively. If he played in Holland I'd understand the doubt, but I think the boy deserves a chance.
I just hope Boriello gets back to fitness, because he was awesome when he was fit for Milan. I'd rather spend money on defense, which is far more important for Milan right now than our attack.
I forget if I already ask this : Is Hamsik a creative midfielder? Or he is just like Flamini who is a defensive midfielder but is a bit creative?
Oh, Hamsik! :)
No, he's not like Flamini. He's creative, he's got vision but he's also very physically strong. He like to run into penalty area on the second tempo. He's similar to Michael Ballack.

Kaka To Publically Reveal Future After Midnight
AC Milan star Kaka will comment on his future in less than four hours...
8 Jun 2009 20:51:33
As reported earlier, Kaka has successfully undergone a medical under the supervision of Real Madrid as his transfer from AC Milan to the Spanish outfit grows ever nearer.
Kaka returned to the Brazil team's hotel hotel after the medical tests and is currently at the Selecao's training camp in Recife as they prepare for the World Cup qualifying match against Paraguay.
Comments from the player himself have been scarce - until tonight.
According to the local media, the player will publically address his future at 21.00 local time and most likely confirm his transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.

I could certainly be happy with a Pato-Pippo-Borriello-Dzeko
front lineup. Paloschi can stay on the co-own and get more experience.
Not sure if he'd like it, but I'd play Pippo mostly as a sub to keep him fresh.
If he goes into another red hot streak, he can start for a bit. Unknown when
he'll dip in form due to age. (this year, next, 5 years.....)
Dzeko won't have immediate pressure to score 20 goals a season.
I hope Borriello can remain healthy. I'd really like to see him stay healthy and have 1 more shot at making good at Milan.
--- That said.. I'd do anything to sign Eto'o but not sure that's feasible.

You know, I was just thinking that I don't really mind so much one way or the other whether Kaka stays or whether he goes. What I do mind is him going to those arrogant bastards at Real Madrid who are always playing mind games, interfering with other teams and trying to prove they have power over every other club. I would actually find it hilarious and be smiling all day if Milan turned down Madrid tonight and sold Kaka to Chelsea tomorrow, just to shove it down Madrid's face.
But, that said, I'm still not believing this is all a done deal until I've seen it.

Ah, thank you, Maslok. I just wanted to find option if we really get Dzeko and sell Kaka which means we will lack of creative midfielder if Pirlo plays behind strikers except Ronaldinho can regain his best performance.
With regard of Strasser I think we must see if Leo will give many chances for young players or not. Many fans hope that he trust more young players than our former coach. If his record as scout (or man behind Kaka's and Pato's transfer) is to be trusted for the assumption (that he likes young players), I think he will give chances to young players if they are really worth for it. Plus it seems that he likes hardworking players which should be a motivation for young players.
If what I assume is true, Strasser could have chances to play in Coppa Italia but not in Serie A games (except some midfielders are unavailable) since the competition for one spot in the midfield is very thight (with current situation). What I especially expect from him is that he will show his true ability when he is given the chance since he looks like to have a very strong self-confidence, something like Paloschi has. If he can show 'something' in Coppa Italia, he should have chances to play in Serie A, at least in some games as substitute.
