plus release wages : abate, montolivo, antonelli, gomez, locatelli (loan out), mauri, a.donarumma, kalinic.

i can't see anybody paying above 20m for bona and donna has a 50m no-cl release clause.

apparently gattuso only considers conti, calabria, bonucci, romagnoli, biglia, kessie, hakan & cutrone unsellable. he'd like to keep musacchio + rodriguez but if they have a strong showing in the wc (rodriguez) then we would consider any offers.

reina, strinic and either badelj/ki seem like certainties so we'd have 13 squad players minimum. also, a youth team player (bellanova) may get promoted and we might sign marcano (cb) for free.

he'd also like to keep donnarumma + suso but their release clauses may make it impossible to hold onto them.

as for the rest, mirabelli wants to monetize as many players as possible instead of releasing them for free. only plizzarri + locatelli will be loaned out.

donnarumma    50m

i am quite sure Kalinic will have a strong WC this summer. Dodgy
for 180m we can actually do a lot...

belotti 45m
vidal 35m (dream signing, champion and perfect gattuso player. down to his final year of contract. maybe bonucci can convince him?)
depay 40m
berardi/politano 25m
gabbiadini/callejon 20m
bona replacement aka cristante/pellegrini 25m

Total 190m

i'm sure he'll play out of his skin if he wants to avoid going to china!  Devilol
Martial rejected Utd extension , if not wrong. He can play on the left as well as a striker..

borini is good as a fb backup but a shit striker/winger which is what he was hired to do. anyway, for 5m i can live with him.

you clearly don't play the game... the way he was treated initially smashed his confidence and as a result needs time to recover... New to the league, completely new team, was always going to take time to settle in but lack of playing time has meant that it'll take longer to settle...

As for the difference between Montella and Gattuso's treatment...
One was a terrible coach who picked up a potential star, high on life and coming off a great season for club and country. The other is proven to be a good coach who inherited a player who had 0 confidence and didn't seem like he wanted to be at the club anymore. Just look at pictures of him around the club and team at around christmas time vs now... He's picked back up and seems his normal happy self again. Gattuso might not be giivng him heaps of game time but clearly has confidence in him that he's coming good.

He's done worse than expected, but again I think the damage done during Montella's time in charge has impacted him heavily as he lost a lot of confidence. Bear in mind he looked pretty sharp early in the season and was scoring.

Under Gattuso his struggles haven't gone, but he has shown improvements recently. The reason I've deferred judgement on him is based on what's expected from him and the fact that he's showing signs that he can turn it around (unlike Kalinic who looks a lost cause).

It’s reported Milan never filed Gianluigi Donnarumma’s release clause with the Lega Serie A.
The goalkeeper signed a new contract with the Rossoneri in the summer, but it was reported that he had a €50m release clause if they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
However, Corriere della Sera reports that the club never actually deposited a release clause with the Lega Serie A.
The newspaper states that this can be read in two ways - on the one hand, if Donnarumma is happy at Milan it could see him stay for the long term.
On the other, the club has made it clear they’ll have to sell at least one of their star players if they don’t reach the Champions League, and if the goalkeeper has no release clause he could go for less than €50m.
It was reported last night that Paris Saint-Germain were interested in the goalkeeper, and that he had no release clause.

just one of many articles showing that there is in fact no release clause set... although don't think we'll get too much more than 50 for him anyway...
Quote:AC Milan are reportedly fearing the worst this summer as Suso continues to be linked with an exit from the San Siro, with Liverpool linked with a move.
The 24-year-old has undoubtedly made massive improvements to his game since leaving Anfield, as he’s played an important role for the Rossoneriagain this season with eight goals and 12 assists in 43 appearances.
However, as noted by Calciomercato, the Spaniard does have a €40m release clause in his contract, while it’s added that Liverpool tried to sign him in January. In turn, Milan are targeting Napoli winger Jose Callejon, with his release clause standing at €20m.
It seems as though a lot must still happen to spark such major changes, but if Milan fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, then perhaps Suso will be tempted by a return to Liverpool if they meet his release clause.
While he has established himself as a key figure for Milan, he has gone missing in big games in the past, and coupled with the lack of pace and the absence of a different dynamic in the final third, bringing in Callejon may allow the Italian giants to pose a different threat next season alongside Hakan Calhanoglu on the opposite flank.
Question marks can also be raised on that deal too though. With Napoli battling for the Serie A title this season, it seems strange that Callejon would potentially accept leaving them and instead fight for a Champions League spot with Milan next year.
Another factor worth considering is that while Suso is still only 24, Callejon is now 31, and so while it may make sense from a financial perspective to sign a replacement and raise additional funds to strengthen elsewhere, it’s not quite a long-term signing.
